Fox News, Allanea
"Today, the preparations for the Allanean Presidential elections have begun for the first time in four hundred years. Parties are spinning up their PR machines, campaign contributions are being made, and political contributions pour like water. As usual, under Allanean law, every Allanean citizen is allowed to donate as much money as he wants to political campaigns. Only government institutions are prohibited from donating. We at Fox News, Port-Allanea, will bring to you the latest reports from the elections, including who funds who and why. The Democrats, the party of the former President, have already nominated their candidate. It is Sergey Sinitzyn, the Vice-President of Allanea..."
Democratic National Convention, Heston City, West-Axackal, Allanea
A stern looking man of about fifty stands in front of a large crowd of cheering supporters - workers, doctors, people from all walks of life - with his arm raised in the air, waving a battle rifle. As the crowd cheers, he shouts back to them:
I am Sergey Sinitzyn! I am yourcandidate! And I promise you, I will maintain the Kazansky Legacy like no other candidate can promise to do - or rather, they can promise, but they will not make it come true. I will! I am the true ascendant of the Kazansky school of politics and foreign affairs! I will lead Allanea to an even brighter future!
"Back to you, Hernandez. What do you think?"
"Well, I never really liked Sinitzyn. I think the Democrats' popularity in Allanea has really depended on the popularity of President Kazansky, I think now that he's gone, they're going to get smashed. Anyhow, our Hawaiian-shirt-wearing friends, the Libertarians, are also in the game, having nominated famous writer Joshua Smith to the candidacy. Talking to us is Lidia Moritz, Libertarian National Convention, in Trek-Town in Port-Allanea. Lidia?"

A young woman dressed in something vaguely resembling a Star Trek [TNG, to be exact] uniform appears on the screen. "Johnie, there's not much to tell. They are coming up with the same platform we know and love them for - a smaller budget, a policy of isolationism, and lower taxes of course, and, of course, no compromise on those issues. They're going to win out this election, I am telling ya. Going to pick up a lot from the Democrats. Back to you, Johnie."
"Thank you, Lidia."
"Now, dear viewers, the Republicans are a party we are having problems with. They are not yet letting us to the convention headquarters - and in fact we don't even know who their candidate is yet. For some reason, they are being completely secretive. But we'll tell you when we know."
"This was John Liven, Fox News, Allanea. Remember, this is Fox - We Report, You Decide."
