Fatal Attraction

Midnight. Oh how young the night still was, and one person was as wide awake now as others were in the daylight. She walked down the street to a large building near the central plaza, long brown hair falling over one of her eyes in soft waves and trailing down her back. Her eyes were a vivet lavender and shown within the moonlight, as if by some chance there was a luminescence like a firefly behind the glassy iris. There was a definate certainty to her lips that entranced others with a deep raspberry luster. There was a chocker around her neck , circles of brilliant gold entwined with one another.
She turned sharply up the granite steps of the building, people fluttering in and out of the doors like moths heading toward several lights all in opposite directions. A few of them took a second glance at her. She was quite remarkable in her looks, pale skin flawless and unnaturally soft to the touch. There was something in the way that she walked that placed her on a level greater than the moths that circled her. She was confident, she was certain.
She walked through the metal detector and the alarm sounded. A guard stopped her, and told her to empty her pockets. She lit a cigarette and blew the smoke into his face. He stopped her with his hand and flicked the cigarette onto the ground. She eyed him carefully as he repeated his order. She ran her hands along the light denim edge of her jacked and opened it revealing cartriges, she revealed two guns, and equiped them so quickly that the guard had no time to react. Then all hell broke loose. She shot him in the arm and pointed it to his chest.
"Where is Hitomi?" she said, her velvety voice sweeping over his ears. He did not respond, but she could hear others proceeding down the halls to her location, so she pulled the trigger. Good...more fun... A wicked smile crossed her face and two sharp canines could be clearly seen marking her berry stained lips.

There was more entering the room by the second, each equiped with weapons of their own. They had formed a perimeter around her, and she put her hands up. "Drop your weapons," she heard from across the room. She turned to an open door about twenty meters away from her. In it she saw the vauge shadow of a young man with grey hair and piercing green eyes. He was dressed in a dark grey suit. Her eyes narrowed.
"Where is Hitomi?" the woman repeated, her violet eyes harnessing his image and slowly picking it apart in her mind. He took a moment to analyze her stance and her prescence.
"It's not everyday we have someone like you barging into my corperation to demand something from me," he stepped into the light. The others in the room did not move. "What I would like to know, is why a beautiful girl like you would have anything to do with Hitomi. First, who are you..." He raised his hand and another entered the room. He had blonde hair gelled to the point of never moving again, and light blue eyes. He walked closer to the woman, and looked in her eyes.
"Well, sir," he began. "Would you like an analysis?" The other man nodded in reply. "The two guns in her hand are of rare quality. They come from, with certainty, one of the Shentavo or Versai makes. They are extremely well made with an inscription on the side in early latin, though I can not read the words from here. They were customized to a woman's hand, and it is guarenteed that a man would not be able to use them." The woman smiled intently. "Extended fangs are prominant, but not so much as to say she would be a vampire. She would more likely to be a hybrid species, though i can not determine. Classify as uncertain phelogeny. Her stance tells me she is over confident, the smile on her face gratifying to hear something about herself which she already knew. She has a strong mind. Judging by the necklace around her neck, I would almost assume that she was some type of royalty, but I can no be certain..." He took a moment in thought, and met her eyes. Her enchanting violet eyes had turned a brilliant amber. "...those yes...sir...she's---"
His voice was interrupted by the sound of her pistols firing off into the blond haired man. She managed to round off a few more shots around the room before her bullets were matched. She took several and fell to the ground. The security released their form, and relaxed. The target had been terminated. The man with the grey hair, walked over to the other man and lifted him up. He was dead. He dropped him after he could not find a pulse. He walked over to the other woman, and looked at her. He moved away the fabric which had been split open around her abdomen.
He stood up. Where the hell are the bullets... He turned away and began to enter back into the room from where he came from. That's when his ears picked up the sound of gunfire. He turned around. The woman he thought was dead was sitting up, firing off at the guards around her. The gunfire died down as the last one had fallen. She stood up, and changed cartriges. She walked toward the man, guns raised.
"I'll ask you again..." she said, her voice sweeping over him. "Where is Hitomi."

A few kilometres away, a small cigarrette boat coasted silently to shore and beached itself on the pebbly sand. A lone silhouette leaped from the pilot's seat and landed solidly on the beach.
Morris had no idea where he was. The last thing he remembered before waking up in the boat about ten kilometres from shore was a very large gunfight at the Pinnacle Harbour in Omni-Psychotia's capitol city. He remembered chasing Rumley, blasting at least a few dozen Moreith terrorists, and then nothing.
"Ugh." Morris shook his head in an attempt to clear it, but succeeded only in worsening an already horrible headache, "Well, as long as I'm here, I guess I'm considered off-duty. Maybe I can have a little fun for once."
With heightened senses, Morris easily picked up the sounds of a gun battle a few kliks away. He smiled evily and started walking in that direction.
The fun was already starting...

The man turned and disappeared into the other room. The woman bent her head. The man's name was Vulcon Dominici, leader of the Versent Corperation. While his corperation had dealt with intelligence, he dealt specifically with underground work. He charged a high price for his specialty, making certain individuals disappear. He was known never to make a mistake, and the jobs he took were ones which were always carried through...until today.
The woman picked up her cigarette from the floor and entered the room. She smirked, and lowered her guns. Vulcon was sitting on the edge of a chair, a woman behind him with a metal bracelet around her delicate wrist. She had bleach blond, straight hair which fell in jagged pieces across her face. There was a scar over her right eye which one could easily mistake her as a fighter. They would be wrong. Her name was Hitomi. The woman reached out her hand toward the other, and smiled. "How are you holding up Hitomi?" she asked softly.
I'm doing fine. Your risking your safety by coming to find me, she replied silently, her red eyes flickering at the woman's presence.
"Pfft," the woman replied allowed, and placed her guns away. She looked at Vulcon, and chuckled.
"I wouldn't be laughing. You must be one of her guardians," he concluded, and wrapped his arm around Hitomi's shoulders with a blade to her neck.
The woman blew out a puff of smoke and smiled, yellow eyes daring. "Wrong."
"Doesn't matter who you are anyway. You take a step closer, Reines daughter will die."
She laughed. "Wrong again." She shifted forward.
"I have no time for your mind games," he scoffed, seemingly thinking he was above her. She raised an eyebrow. "I have studied the Vimes family extensively...with Hitomi's death, if she should fail to be a bargining chip, will bring about the end of the empire. Lasaria has passed away, and there shall be no mother for him to father another child."
"Wrong, once again." She threw down her cigarette and stepped on it. A violet electricity surged through her right arm briefly. Markings appeared on her silken skin. Her amber eyes glared at him.
"If Reines daughter wasn't a challenge, then what makes you think that you would be able to pose a threat to me?" he eyed the symbols carefully. "Who the hell are you?"
"That woman," she began, pointing to Hitomi. "Isn't Reine's daughter." Vulcon seemed to go pale momentarily as he heard the words, but it could have never prepared him for what was coming next. "That woman is psionic. You couldn't not kill her by means of knife, she is too advanced for that. She simply played along in protecting me."
"And you are?" he persisted, turning from Hitomi, and marking the dagger toward the woman.
"I am the former wife of Tigairius..." she took pleasure in his expression. "....the daughter of Reine. I am Konai Vimes, and you have just made a grave error."

A tall man, about 6'1 with dark brown hair, pale skin, and bright cobalt blue eyes, lay on the roof of a building on the edge of the central plaza. He was dressed completely in black from his boots to his leather trenchcoat. A pair of Para P14 .45 automatics were in armpit holsters, a combat knife, and a HK USP 9mm with stainless steel slide sat in a waist holster.
Stephen Malone looked up into the night sky as a cold wind cut across the rooftop. The 1,287 year old vampire stood and streached. Stephen had been a full vampire for only 287 years because of a bite from a vampire he had recived as a human; the bite had made him immortal and as he neared his one thousandth birthday, he noticed he was slowly changing into a vampire. Finally, the vampire that had lay dormant in him for so long took over and turned him completly. Because of it, he had the strength of a vampire half of his full age, an advantage few knew about and many hunters who had attacked him died because they had underestimated the fledgling.
He walked to the edge of the buidling and looked down at the humans walking below him. Stephen spotted a young red-headed woman in her twenties walking down the street. He lowered his fangs in anticipation of his meal as she got closer. The sound of gunfire stopped his train of thought as he looked up at a building on the other side of the plaza.
Stephen stared at the building for several minutes. What is going on?
He was a Daeva in every since of the term. Well, almost. Unlike most of the Daeva, he hadn’t spent his life in the living as a club goer, a raver, or any other form of socialite prince. No, he had been a trained killer. Of course, it was much easier to be a trained killer in the 1600s. It was ironic; he had been an assassin for the Church. A killer for Christ. One of the many Jesuit trained soldiers who worked behind the scenes to make sure the pontiff was happy in all ways. He had taken many a life from protestant and infidel alike, who ever his eminence wanted dead, he would do it. Of course, that was before the embrace. Just over 400 years had past since he went from a so called killer for Christ to one of the dark ones. A true creature of the night; the undead. A vampire. Those four hundred years had seemed like a few weeks, when he looked back on them.
And now here he was, with a wooden katana being swung at his head with incredible force. He parried, his own wood sword coming up to block, then push away the incoming weapon. He grunted has he moved forward, bringing his weapon in a circle, down to the left so that it would move up to the right, then come back down on the left side. His move blocked, but a sweeping kick to his opponent’s shin moved his sparing partner back. He held his weapon down by his side, and faded to the left, coming back with an attack to the right. His partner had fallen for the feint, and now found himself sprawled out on the ground, clutching his ribs. “Christ Davos that hurt like a bitch” the man groaned, rolling to his knees.
Davos. Davos Santari. That had been his name four hundred years ago. In modern times, he went by David. It helped him blend in. “You shouldn’t have gone for the feint.” Davos held out a hand, helping the man up. He grabbed the two wooden katanas, and placed them on a rack on the wall. He tossed his head back, throwing a lock of his straight, mid length black hair out of his face. The vampire really was a Daeva. He was, without a doubt, handsome. His chiseled, toned athletic frame was covered by almost perfect skin; skin that seemed a permanent shade of light tan. He removed his shirt, revealing a number of tattoos on his right arm. “Same time tomorrow night?” he asked his partner.
“Yeah,” was the simple reply from the man, limping out of the sparing room. Davos’ apartment was surprisingly large, more of a penthouse than anything, with several good sized rooms. He sighed, and moved to his shower. It was 11:25, just enough time to shower, get dressed, and get to the clubs. That’s what he did on his free time, just like most other Daevas. Sit in Elysium, or go to clubs. When he was “on duty” so to speak, he was an assassin. It never hurt for the Daevas to have an assassin on hand, even if the Mekhets took care of most of the dirty work. He exited the shower, and dressed in a pair of black jeans and a dark, somewhat shiny crimson shirt. Like most Daevas, he too believed, as a Nosferatau had once said, that he could fuck the pain away. On his feat he wore a pair of classic tennis shoes, black Converse All Stars. He moved down the apartment buildings hallway to an elevator that dropped him off in a large garage. He walked to the two parking spaces that belonged to him, where he removed a set of keys. He looked back and forth between the two vehicles, a Silver Nissmo R34 Z-Tune and a Aprilla Mille Factory R, and chose the bike. He pulled a helmet on over his head, and grabbed a black leather jacket, and started the motorcycle.
The drive to the club was uneventful, yet fun, as he sped down the freeway, in between cars and trucks, using the bike’s mobility to make the usual twenty minute drive in just under ten. He chose the same parking garage that he always did, and parked the bike. He removed the jacket and helmet, and placed them on the bike. He was about to start the brief walk to the club, when he heard something that seemed like the faint sounds of a gun fight. He sighed, thinking that some Gangrel or Mekhet had picked a fight with the wrong person, and turned back to the bike, opening the small compartment behind the seat, and pulling out a black Sig Sauer P226. He checked the magazine, it was full, and stuck it in his pants, letting the untucked shirt hang over it. He normally carried either two Kimber Customs or Beretta 93Rs with a bit of custom work done to them, but he had decided not to tonight. He’d have to rely on his own skills. He used the elevator to get down to the ground floor, no need to bring attention to oneself, and began to walk in the direction of the sounds.

ooc: Oh, you can figure it out, GS :-P
IC:
"Konai...Konai..." he said repeatedly. "Konai Krestfall Vimes...You are Reine's daughter." He observed her carefully, and blinked several times. "You don't look like that brute Reine. You've got a nice figure there girly..."
"It's Miss Vimes to you, and mark you that brute is my father," Konai replied smoothly, her voice humming ever so slightly in her own melodious reverie. Konai, indeed was quite a sight. She looked to be around nineteen with an unforgetable smile and bright violet eyes (which since her enterence had turned a bright amber as she called upon her heritage). She was a hybrid, to say the least. The easiest part is her vampiric bloodline, which ran through her father, Reine Vimes. What was a bit more complicated was on her mother's side. Her mother was nephelic, and her spirituality was extremely strong. It did not stifle Konai's arrogance, pride, or aggressiveness. She was a fighter to the end. She had since removed her jacket, letting it drop to the floor revealing the light tan symbols on her body, which became more evident with every heart beat. Her long brown hair hit just above her waist. It was thick and lusterous, with a sheen from an implacable source. She was one of beauty.
She wore thick black boots that cut off just below her knee with straps for both small knives and support. Black shorts were secured by a golden belt with the emblem of a phoenix on it. Dark tape was wrapped around the lower half of her arm, around her wrists, and wrapped around her knuckles, over which she wore white gloves. When asked by Hitomi why she wore white instead of black gloves, as they would be better hidden, Konai replied 'so I can see the blood trickle over a clean palate when I am finished'.
Hitomi was a pacifist for the most part, which was very becoming of her current situation. She had crimson eyes that she took up after her grandmother, Genesis Versai, known later through her affliation with the seraphic Azrael as Gene Shentavo. Her hair was a pale blond, cut jagged to frame her face. Unlike Konai, she was more or less human, with a few advantages gained through her psionic training. She wasn't as nearly as widely known as her grandmother had been, but she had inherited her skills. Hitomi was one of Konai's guardians, but used more as an alchemist. As if Konai needed any protection.
Hitomi crossed the room to Konai, and Konai wrapped her arms around her guardian, kissing her cheek softly. You ever pull a stunt like that again trying to protect me, I'll kill you.
"So Reine's daughter is a lesbian..." he said, marking this gesture. "How is your father taking it?"
"Pretty well," she said softly. "Considering she's my sister. " she paused. "She's not Reine's daughter, she's Lasaria's. Different father. Different families. But here my blood is more valuable than hers. Should she go into the three empires, she would be the only decendent of the Shentavo clan." Hitomi, in turn, smiled at Vulcon. Oh, how sweet it was. The last heirs of two great clans in one room. "I guess you didn't get it when I said I used to be Tigairius'* wife...until I killed him of course."
Konai smirked and her fangs extended into full view. Vulcon had a smile of his own. His was swamped with malice far grearter than hybrid's. Konai pushed Hitomi back behind her. "Good..I was hoping I wouldn't be disappointed. Satiate my thirst for your agony...." Konai slammed her right fist into her left hand, and her demeanor changed. The symbols became clear in view, and her eyes took on a fierce glow. Hitomi waited, crimson eyes scanning over the battle which was about to commense.
Vulcon removed his own jacket and his muscles tensed as blades extended through both of his forearms and the skin healed over. Konai cocked an eyebrow, "Athealian are we?" she scoffed. Athealians were decendents of a clan of dragon worshipers. "You know its wrong to false gods..." she began. "Show me your wings I'll show you mine..." She smiled.
"Maybe later...." he tilted his head with a new air of confidence. He then lunged at her.

The sounds of gunfire seemed to of died away, but Stephen was still curious about who was doing the shooting. He jumped from the roof into an alley and headed out into the street. He could have easily taken the rooftops, but decided to move on the ground incase there were shooters on the roof. He made sure his pistols had fully loaded magizines and spares were in easy reach. Stephen put on a pair of black leather gloves and pulled out his combat knife.
The blade was nearly seven inches long, yet it was the handle that was the most interesting part. It was a hard black plastic with two bands of silver criss-crossing it, and a snarling wolf's head sat on the end of the handle. The black leather sheath had a large silver wolf on one side. The Wolfe Knife had belonged to Stephen's Great-Uncle Kurt Malone. It had been the symbol of a mercenary group Kurt had been apart of before he disappered. Stephen had to wear gloves or something to protect his hand when he handled the weapon, or else the silver on the handle would burn him.
Stephen placed the knife back into the sheath on his belt and continued through the streets and alleys, decided to go around the building and enter through the back. He paused on a street when he sensed another vampire nearby. The Simatarian jumped onto a nearby rooftop and headed to the next street over.
Stephen dropped into an alley as a man passed him, heading towards the area the gunfire had come from. Stephen moved out of the alley and looked at the back of the man.
"Looking for the battle my friend?"
Davos moved silently towards teh building. Doing his best not to bring any attention to himself. His walk was nonchaluant, his gait not quick, but not slow. He sensed something, probably another vampire, this area was thick with them. However, he heard movment, then a voice. "Looking for the battle my friend."
He froze, his fangs extending slowly, and he let his hand trail to his back where the Sig was. He turned, and faced the Simatarian vampire. He looked like he knew how to play the game, but wasn't a threat. Yet. "Well, its good to know I'm not the only one picking up on this." He let his hand move away from the pistol, and let it hang back by his side. "I take it your looking for the same?"

Samantha walked down the street, her form highlighted in the darkness. She wore a white shirt, which seemed to soak up the light and then send it out, illuminating her top half. She held a diary across her cheast, and her arm coming around and touching the oposite armpit. Her other arm had a purse string over it, which led down to her bag. She sighed, walked along with a confidence rarely seen with others of her age, at only Nineteen she had lived in the poor neighbour hood all her life, and she had not had the money to go to collage. She had never had an easy rode, but she had been watched, and now she searved a fairly profitable compony, although not an international one. She smiled, the only reason she had made it was the fact she had gone into every single academic thing she could find.
She droped her diary, swearing as she did. She bent over and droped it, just as the sound gunfire could be heard. She frowned, brushing aside a stray bit of hair, she sighed. Not exactly sure why, but she felt she needed to go see what was happening. The main reason was it was just where she had come from. She sighed, turned and began to walk back.

Joshua had abandoned his past for the second time in his 96 years of living. First when his "second death" occured so many years ago he couldn't remember any more and now after his unknown return from the realm of the lost and the dead. He stummbled slowly through the alleys of some city that he had failed to get the name of trying to make sense of the fractions of memories that constantly played in his head. His mind was in a state of chaos as if it were a mini-Globe theater and the groundlings were each thought calling out or preforming some action for attention and his eyes were putting on a show for them. He shook his head quickly and relaxed letting his mind slowly clear up and slowly walked out of the alley onto a main street. As he did he heard the gun fire and almost felt the urge to reach for one of the two pistols he carried on him yet he resisted the training he had fallowed all his life and kept his hands at his sides. "Just lovely," he muttered as he began to walk towards the gun fire.

"Yeah...the battle seems to be going on in some building on the edge of the central plaza, gunfire seemed to have stopped a minute or two ago. I was heading around to enter the building from the back."
As he talked, Stephen sized up the other vampire. He could tell the other man was older than him in vampire years, but Stephen was the older by about another twelve hundred years because of his time as an immortal human. The Simatarian noted the other vampire was also armed, probably with a pistol of some sort or maybe a knife. Stephen finally decided that this vampire was alright.
Stephen offered a slight smile, his fangs visable in the street light a few feet away.

Samantha walked down the street, crossing the road to enter the building. She paused, feeling something strang, but shook her head and walked to the door. It was then she saw the forms of the dead guards through the door, and she droped her diary for the second time this night. She backed away, leaving her book where it was, intending to get away from the blood.
As she turned her face paled, as she realised that Vulcon could be among those dead. She halted in indesision, not sure weather to go in and check or call the police.

He gripped her by the throat, and she smiled with an intense fire in her eyes for the challenge. She brought her right elbow down on his and threw a backfist to his face breaking the hold. He swung the blades in a crossing motion toward her stomach, and she jumped back. She growled softly. He was strong. And he recovered quickly. There was only one other she had heard of who had been an Athaelian...and she had learned to respect him through Hitomi.
Hitomi stood and watched the two fight intently, exchanging blows in an all out brawl. She laughed. Konai was having fun. Should he hit her it would make it even more interesting. The Shentavo stood alone, watching the battle, but as she did so she placed one hand to the side. If she had inherited anything from her name...it would be her experiance with manavex and manipulation. Quissera would have been proud.
"You bore me, Vulcon. For christ sake your the leader of this company and you can't even fight," she laughed and weaved in and out of the blades. They separated. Her opponent did not seem to happy. He closed his eyes, and she paused. "Is it later yet because in this form you are quite laxidaisical."
"I suppose you have left me no choice, Miss Vimes." Konai smiled, her fangs in full view. Hitomi could see the blood lust within her. He took off his shirt and Konai tilted her head. She had a tendency to fall for all the wrong type of guys. Hitomi was a little more wise when it came to that. Just because Konai showed interest, did not necessarily mean they'd be alive after the fight was over. From his back formed two leathery wings, dark blood red in color.
"Hoo..." she breathed heavily. "Finally. Someone worthy of fighting me."

As he began to move forward he stopped directly behind the young woman and spoke, "Scared of alittle blood? That should be the least of your worries at this time."
Stephen looked at the other vampire for a minute before giving a nod.

"Davos. Davos Santari, the pleasure's mine" he said. His voice held a slight accent, not quite British, but almost educated English. He removed his pistol from behind him, holding it at his side, and reached over, pulling the slide halfway back, checking to see a round in the chamber. "I only have this, they'll probably have some nice toys inside though."
He looked at the building, then back at Stephen. "Well, lead the way," he said, popping his neck.

"Nice to meet you Davos." Stephen said, he looked down at the man's pistol. "Sig Sauer P226, not a bad choice...but I prefer something with a bit more punch."
Stephen pulled out one of his Paras and pulled the slide back, chambering a silver .45 hollow point. He did the same to his second Para, decideding to keep the USP as a backup weapon. Keeping the Para in his hand drawn, he moved quickly through the alleys to the back of the building. Stephen screwed on a black silencer on his pistol, made sure Davos was behind him and entered through a back door.
He didn't bother turning on the lights, he could see perfectly well in the dark. The pair were in a storage room, piles of cleaning equipment and repair gear lined the walls. Stephen sensed two groups of people, a pair were in the lobby, and a trio were in an office in the middle of the building. He looked at Davos.
"I'll go check the lobby, you can go after the group in the office."
Without waiting for an answer, Stephen left the room. He moved slowly through the halls towards the lobby, the scent of blood getting stronger with each step. Reaching a corner, Stephen pressed himself against the wall and peered around to see the corpse of a guard laying in a pool of his own blood.
Stephen looked past the corpse to see several more and two figures, a female mortal and a male immortal, possibly another vampire. He blended in with the dark shadows as he observed the pair, the huamn was obviously scared, the other seemed to be more interested in scaring her even more and possibly killing her.
Stephen moved slowly down the hall and spoke in a clear voice to the man. His pistol at the ready if the man tried anything.
"You should be watching your back a bit more often."

"Actualy I realy shouldn't have to worry," he said no fear or surprise in his voice, "Besides I don't think a lovely .45 hole in the head is realy required when you have bigger things to deal with." As he spoke his hand moved at speeds that mortal eyes couldn't notice and he had a P16-40LDA in his hand aimed directly at Stephen's head leaving the other ASP hidden in his coat.

Stephen stared calmly at Joshua. He had been in worse situations than this before. He chuckled slightly and stared at the man.
"Am I suppose to be afriad of you pointing a gun at me? Because...I'm not and may I also add that I am not what I appear to be."
Stephen took several, slow measured steps towards Joshua and stopped. He stood there and stuidied the man. Just a damn kid.
"I suggest you run along and leave the lady alone...or things might get messy."

I am not some damn kid, Joshua projected into Stephen's mind. The fact that I only look twenty one is hidden by the fact that I am going on 97 years of age. "Besides I have seen things far more messy during the Civil Wars of Phalanix than this could turn. And yes I do know of what you are and I'm sure you know what I am as well."

Stephen's eyes bulged slightly, as he heard Joshua's voice in his head. Joshua definatly showed telepathic skill. The vampire quickly threw up a heavier defense, blocking Joshua from his mind.
"Ninty-seven...still a kid to me. I am currently 1,287 years old, but only 287 years I have been a full vampire. I have also seen some quite messy things in my life, I was one of those messy things."
Stephen lifted his shirt slightly, showing Joshua his scarred torso.
"From waist to bottom of my neck...completely covered in scars. All recived in four hours of hell."
Stephen lowered his shirt and stuided Joshua. Stephen smiled slightly, showing his fangs.
"Well, I am a vampire...as you know...but I have a few upsides that only my closests friends know. I'm positive you are a vampire or at the very least an immortal of some type."

Samantha looked at the two Vampires, her eyes wild. She kept her demanor however, and managed to straighten and look at the Younger of the two, her eyes all of a sudden filled with anger.
"What where you going to do, drink my blood?!" She shrilled. "In my own place of work to, you have no diginty. In case you haven't noticed their is blood all over the floor, take that!" She smiled, a sense of self satisfaction about her.

Stephen stared at the young woman. He could understand her reaction to having vampires only a few feet from her. He smiled warmly at her, being careful to hid his fangs.
"You don't have to worry about me drinking your blood. I do drink blood of humans, but have been doing so less and less. Though, the blood on the floor does smell rather nice...it isn't really seem too fresh and I won't bend down and lap it up like a dog."
He looked at her, debating if he should probe her mind and get the information he wanted. For now Stephen decided to try and see if she would willingly tell him.
"I would like you to tell me who is the head of this company and any possible reason for someone to come in and start killing? Anyone unstable fired in the past few weeks?"

The fact that I still fallow a military moral code is the only reason I havn't gone on a mad killing spree," he said, "Now as I was going to say before someone decided to be so rude. What do you know of those sired by angelic vampires? Those with bloodlines that also link them with dormant angelic blood?"

Deal with out front, Hitomi. Time for you to go to work, Konai said silently. I do not want to be interrupted. Hitomi nodded and walked toward the door she had entered, looking back a moment before walking through it.
Hitomi saw two vampires across the room, and looked at the mess Konai had created, not in the least bit startled. Konai always left her messes for someone else to clean up. Hitomi folded her hands and eyed the woman.
“It would be in your best interest to leave,” she said softly, crimson eyes swimming over their image. She then heard what one of the vampires said. Instantly she was behind him, as if she had simply vanished and reappeared. She placed one hand around Joshuas shoulder and slipped it two the right side of his face. "Now now..." she said in a whispering voice. She bore a remarkable resemblence to Gene. "Who are you to say your bloodlines have angelic root?"

Joshua smirked and laughed alittle. "Not even three months back form the dead and I still can't help but have people all over me," he said in a slightly playful tone, "Besides I'm sure my mother wouldn't be to happy with me explaining the long and boring story of my family history."
Davos moved silently towards the offices. He stayed in teh shaddows, it suited him, and he could see just fine. He held the Sig out in front of him, low. There were no gaurds, they were all probably out in the lobby, dead. He quietly slid into the hallway where the office was, and quickly trotted down the hallway. He arrived outside the door, and waited, hearing two voices inside, obviously fighting.

Stephen arched an eyebrow at Joshua's mention of 'angelic vampires'. It seemed completely contradictory to everything he knew about his kind. Then again, he descended from the Assington breed which had been created from a demon. So, it was always possible that somewhere along the line a vampire turned an angel or something along those lines.
Before he could speak her heard a soft femine voice behind him. He turned, the pistol barrel going up, but nothing was there. He heard the voice again and turned to find probably the most stunning woman he had ever seen in his life. Stephen stared at her before looking at Joshua.
"I am rather curious on what you mean by 'angelic vampires'? To my knowledge, most of the vampire breeds descend from some kind of demoic force."

"There is only one that I know of other than my self," Joshua replied to Stephen's comment, "Ravelyn Shentavo. If you havn't heard of her I'll explain. She was a angel a seriphm I believe who came to this level of existance. She met a vampire who eventualy sired her and many decades later she sired me and saved me from a death at the hands of her son. The last time I saw her was two months ago in the nation that she leads. She was fairly surprised to see me after my sudden death a year before then."

Hitomi slid her nails against the side of Joshua's face and pushed him for you. "Ravelyn Shentavo is dead," she replied coldly. She crossed over to stand in front of the other woman. "If this is your idea of a sick joke, I hope that you thought it through." It was not to Joshua's knowledge that Ravelyn had died, but Ravelyn ascended in unusual circumstances.
"I suggest you leave," she said to the two men, guarding the female human. she passed one hand over the other and thin threads of razor wire appeared and she pulled them tightly between her fingers. The threads could only be seen by their reflection of the light that was in the room, and still hard to see at that. Her crimson eyes singled out Joshua specifically. The psion sighted.
"I am the psionic thread master Hitomi Shentavo, the last of my kind."
Don't worry, my dear. I won't let them hurt you. she said silently to Samantha.
"Get out."

Joshua felt the nails run across his face and felt the scratches heal almost instantly before he spoke, "If this were a sick joke I'd say I was related to her. Besides leaving would only inspire questions that would continue to spawn more untill I would start to hunt you down to seak the answers to those questions." As he spoke he lowered the pistol he held and placed it in one of the holsters hidden by his jacket.

Stephen moved slowly forward, holstering his silenced Para, he then moved his hands outward from his body, making them visable to Hitomi. He stopped, smiled at her and gave a slight bow.
"Pleasure to meet you ma'am. I am Stephen Malone, the only Simatarian vampire in existance. I mean no harm to you or this young lady here. I heard gunfire and came to investigate with another vampire. I agree with this guy here that leaving now will raise questions."
Stephen smiled slightly, he had raises his fangs so the human wouldn't be as freaked out. He looked at Hitomi.
"Can we talk without our weapons out? The last thing I would do right now is think of hurting your or the human behind you."
Davos was about to enter the room, when he heard voices out behind. Well, he didn't really here them persay, instead he sensed it. He kept the pistol out, and started to move towards the lobby. He hated being interupted when fighting anyways, so he wouldn't extend that discurtousy to someone else.
As he moved back to the lobby, he cam across to men, both wearing uniforms, obviously gaurds. They looked at him, and he smiled, his fangs visable. He moved quickly towards the first one, and jumped towards him, hands extended. He tackled him, and decided he would do. Davos was hungry, and has he rolled, his hands digging into hte mans shoulders, he pulled him up, and used him like a shield. His counter part kept his shot gun leveled at Davos and the gaurd, but Davos moved first, sinking his fangs into the man's neck, and taking a long draw of blood.
The coppery liquid spilled over his fans, and sprayed into his mouth. He swallowed to large gulps, then ripped his fangs out, and stared at the other gaurd, who looked back wide eyed. Blood dripped from his lips and fangs. He sunk the fangs back in, taking another long drink, before throwing the body down. The other guard fired the shotgun once, but Davos moved quickly, seeing each pellet come in, and moving away from the projectiles. He reached out, and slapped the side of the shotgun, spining it around. He grabbed the shot gun out of the air, and emptied another round into his face. He wipped the blood from his mouth, and picked up his Sig. The other vampire had made a comment about the Sig, he'd need to show him his collection of .45 Kimbers and .40 Berettas.
He came out into the lobby, and saw Stephen, as well as two other vampires, and another girl, whom he assumed was mortal. He saw Stephen put away his weapons, and moved into the shaddows again, this time holstering his weapon, hoping not to be the target of anything.

Konai winced as she felt his solid fist connect with her stomach. Blood trailed from her lower lip as she clammerd to get up. Her amber eyes sighted. Taking another hit she fell to the ground, searching for the means to get up. Vulcan slashed the razor sharp blades toward her. She moved backwards, and growled. After several seconds, the cut became visible as a deep vertical slash over her left eye. The eye itself had not been damaged.
"My dear Miss Vimes," he began. "It is time that this meeting has come to a close. I am rather disappointed, but I am at least relieved I didn't get my hopes up too high."
Konai sighted again. "What are you talking about," she growled viciously. "We are just getting started... and its my turn." She held out her hand and snapped her fingers. A small black flame formed, and spread quickly over her body. She did not burn. Wings cut through her back. No, not wings...metal...There weas some sort of metal as a base bone and various long pointed chards which looked like feathers on the base. She grunted. "You know having this little adaptation from Lasaria never ceased to amaze me...
Now let's fight."

"Vulcan has been taken care of, Miss," Hitomi replied. "You see he had kidnapped me...well...I let him. My sister is taking care of him...she should be done soon."

"But your refusal to comply and your threat toward this beautiful girl make me unsure whether to hold back or not." She tightened the threads within her hands, showing a greater extent. "Easy Davos, this chick Hitomi means business. Best come out slowly, weapons holstered and hands visable. I would be bad to attack."

"He could do alot to you girly. If he had the mind!" said a voice from no where. Suddenly a figure droped from the building above and landed silently in the dark, just behind Joshua. Quicker than the blink of an imortals eye, he whipped out an eighteen inch duel sided silver blade, and put this to the vampires neck. "Naaa, not in the mood for a bloodbath!" He sheithed the deadly weapon. "Noticed you all hanging about, I decided to drop in." "I suggest all you vamps split, immortals tend to draw more and most are not savory characters." said the figure stepping into the light, He had long black hair an angular face, and two punture scares on his throat. He was dressed in black fatigues with carpase armore over his chest shoulderes and waist. Two high caliber sub machine guns were strapped at his waist. A ten inch combat knife was belted to one of his boots, his short sword was secured to his back. "The names Hunadin, I'm one of the few last Faydikaen warriors, Vampy slayers for short. Hitomi watched as the blade narrowly missed Joshua. Apparently she had underestimated him, and apparently everyone thought she was immortal rather than human. She sighed softly. "Little boy," she said softly in her breathless voice. "Run along and play somewhere else. This is no place for a childr to be at this time at night." She pulled the razor wire between her fingers and guided it with a soft psionic lull. It was only through her training and heritage that she was able to control it without cutting her own hands. Konai...I might kill someone. I need you...I don't want to kill when I don't have to..
Be there in a minute, dear. Konai replied. This bastard is a pain in my neck.
Hitomi strengthened the threads, and made her decision. She would not be taken seriously if she did not act. She extended her hands and they lashed out around the new comer, She gripped the threads tighter and pulled, restraining the individual. She pulled them tighter by gripping the several strands in her mouth as well, placing pressure and threatening to half the saddest excuse for a vampire hunter she had ever seen. Oh she wasn't a vampire, but her grandmother, Genesis Versai had been...as had Ravelyn Shentavo. And boy, was she pissed off.
_____
Konai rushed toward him and grabbed him by his shirt, pulling him upward into the air. Vulcan struggled, and tried to break free. He forced her to a wall in mid air with a powerful kick which broke the thin boarded wall. She landed through the rubble a ways off from the group. Vulcan rushed after her, his leathery wings beating as quickly as her metal ones. She avoided his attack and gripped him by the shirt, pulling him up into the air. Her fangs extended as she viciously tore at his neck, and dropped him to the ground. She unholstered her guns from her belt and fired at him while rotating in mid air. The bullets sizzled. The athealian had been pierced with diamond bullets, diamond...which was a substance unbearable to them. He struggled, and Konai landed near him, disregarding the audiance she snapped his neck with the heel of her boot.
She looked toward Hitomi and the symbols on her skin disappeared. Her amber eyes returned to their normal violet color. Her fangs had retracted and her metal wings had folded and resumed their lock within her body. She took out a cigarette from her pocket and lit it, inhaling deeply. She walked toward Hitomi, and Hitomi retracted the threads as they vanished into nothing.
"Are you alright Hitomi?" she asked. Hitomi stepped toward her and placed one hand on her stomach. Konai looked down to realize a large piece of glass had been lodged in the exposed flesh. "Well that's a bitch." Hitomi pulled it out and watched the wound close over. She pulled Hitomi closer and the young female rested her head against the other's chest, crimson eyes flashing at the others. Konai gave one look at those gathered, an headed toward the door.
Davos nodded. I'll take your word for this, you got a better view than I do, he mentally replied to Stephen. "You might want to look over the left shoulder, better view of me," he said out loud to Hitomi, keeping his hands up.
He looked down at the young female. His eyes traced her body once or twice, then he spoke. "You don't need to worry about me. I'm not that hungry." Although she could satisfy another taste he didn't add.
Suddenly, with the crash, he froze. He didn't go for the gun, but still kept his eyes moving, following the new commer. A vampire hunter. Dispicable breed really, they wait till you sleep to kill, never want to go one on one. He sighed. He had removed many a hunter from this etheral plane more than once. There blood always tasted best. He didn't move, and instead just watched the action.

Stephen looked at the human and understood what she was talking about. He couldn't blame her for freaking at the sight of blood.
"Its okay...we all have those bad days. I assure you, no matter what you have seen in the movies about vampires killing and torturing for sport...that is a minority. I..."
At that moment he sensed another prescense suddenly appear. Stephen's pistol materlized in his hand as he spotted the hunter. He didn't raise it, keeping it at his side. Stephen studied Hunadin carefully, the man definatly came packing and knew what he was doing. Definatly better than most he had faced, still the man had an araggont attitude, which didn't impress Stephen.
"You just happened to interupt my conversation with this young lady, not the act of a gentleman."
Stephen turned back to Samantha and gave a short bow. "I haven't properlly introduced myself to you. I am Stephen ma'am."

"I'm not here to kill, unless I have to, see I'm off duty." he said with a smirk. "And, dispite what you may think, you your weapons couldn't kill me. Then again I soppose they could, But thats beside the point see I'm also immortal." He said as he slowly walked around the group, two vamps, no three one trying to hide in the shadow. One human and miss threads. This group was not one he would like to tangle with, he knew he duck and dodge blades and bullits but this many. He slowly backed away into the shadows again, He wondered whether he should stick around this group or bipass them to find Vucan the very creature who had cursed him with immortality, the very creature who had bitten him those many years ago. He desided to stick around but keep his real agenda secret.

“I know that Ravelyn had saved his life once…he hadn’t shown up in the last few months she was alive, except for a festival. Then Vaughn returned…rest is history.” Hitomi replied to Joshua.
Konai began to scan the thoughts of the others, and smirked. Noting ones interest in Hitomi’s appeal. “Don’t get your hopes up to high,” she whispered silently. “She would be more interested in Samantha than any of the males here.” Oh her sister was quite the character. Konai then realized the fool of a hunter had started speaking again.
Konai turned toward the hunter and sighted. She had a presence about her, ethereal almost, as if in the image of Eros. Her long brown hair curled at the edges as her violet eyes engulfed the image before her. Her cleverness, strength, and guile resolved in battle only served to be advantageous in many situations. This ‘hunter’ was out of bounds. He did not realize who he was speaking with. Konai Vimes, heiress of the nation at the current point in time. He was not in a good position to be making threats in a group of vampires and two humans, one of which was a Shentavo. You never threaten a vampire around that name…Shentavo or Vimes…and both were present.
Konai stepped forward. “…you prefer one on one?…” Hitomi fell silent and felt her breath escape her. Her threads lashed out around Konai and bound her around the waist. Konai’s wings extended through her shirt, the metal slicing the razor wire. The metal wings, symbol of a Vimes, of royalty, and of power. Her violet eyes flashed a brilliant amber color and her fangs extended. She stepped toward the hunter.
“You are not in a position to be making threats in the middle of a group of vampires, love.” She said in a sickening tone which made the velvet luster of her voice seem to suffocate her adversary. “You are in my nation now, and I don’t know if you got the bulletin, but hunters are forbidden. The punishment is immediate termination with the king or his daughter’s permission, and I’m giving the OK.” She gave him sarcastic thumbs up.
“KONAI!!!” Hitomi yelled. “Please don’t…He probably didn’t know…”
“Well customs tells everyone,” she replied coldly. “If he’s here illegally he would be killed as well. So let’s get to it shall we?” She cracked her knuckles, and grinned ferociously, her wings extending and her demeanor darkening.

I came to this place hunting Vulcan you killed him, officially I'm just passing through, the reason I came here 'illegally' was so that he wouildn't know I was here. You do not want to put me in a bad mood Konai, FOR YOU GREATLY UNDERESTAMATE ME!" He said, as his voice started to get lower and raspy.

Joshua remained silent remembering the feeling of the cold steel blade slicing through his sternum and out his spine. He visably winced but quickly pushed the memories aside when he heard Konai's rage filled voice and watched Hitomi's failed attempt to bind her. "Great...," he muttered aloud before he began to remove his coat that held his two pistols and folded it. As he placed it down he brushed a random strand of hair out of his face and streched his arms and back quickly. "Hitomi, if I may call you that, do you need help keeping the two apart?" he asked.

He suddenly started growing to very large leathery wings and a pare of long horns sprouted from his head. His face started to elonggate, his teeth grew longer and ended in points. His whole carpace armor snapped as his chest and back grew, spines sprouted from his back, He then stood sxi feet taller than he had before. a spiked tail streched out behind him.

Stephen's eyes bulged as he saw the wings come out Konai. He had heard of some vampires having wings, but never thought in his life he would see one. He got a second dose of shock as Hunadin began to transform into some kind of monster. Stephen's attention switched from his safety to that of the human.
The vampire moved into the shadows and began to circle around. Stephen sent a message into Samantha's mind.
"Don't be afriad ma'am. I'm going to protect you. If you want to get to safety now or if it appears you are in danger, just call out and I will get you out of here."
Davos moved as well, circling around the beast. He had no intention of speaking to the mortal human, by telepathy or voice, but instead began to position himself for a better run position. He didn't have any of his "big guns" and the .40JHP wouldn't do shit to this monster. He looked at the other vampires in the room, the two females, and the other two males. He looked towards a door, and decided to wait it out a few, it could be interesting.
He looked back at Stephen. Any ideas other than run? he asked mentally. He could "call" for help, but no, that wasn't where he wanted to go. Not yet at least.

Stephen looked back at Davos. He was already thinking that, he had rarely run from battle and was not about to. His two .45s could stop a man in his tracks and knock him to the ground, with this thing; he stood no chance.
He looked at the other vampire. "Lets play this one by year, we're immortal, we got all the time in the world."
Davos nodded back, continuing the slow circling of the beast. He held his Sig at the ready, thinking the same thing that Stephen was. Hell, even some of the larger weapons in his collection probably wouldn't bring this thing down. He looked at the girl, down on the floor. She didn't have all the time in the world. Part of him felt, or at least felt the echo, bad, thinking that he should move in, and try to get her out of here.
On the other hand, he assumed the two female vampires would be less than happy with an advance on her, and that right now, they all needed both of them to concentrate on whatever the hunter really was. And like Stephen, he wasn't really ready to start running, either.

Samantha ran, slamming into the wall as tears began to stream down her face. She was not scared, scared was a pitiful Emotion compared to what she was feeling. In one night, she had seen dead people, her boss had died, she had thought she was going to be killed by Vampires and now she had a Daemon chasing her. She slid, falling into a crouch as sobs of fear racked through her body. She was striving to make herself as small as possible.
She was after all, a Nineteen year old.

Joshua grabbed his folded jacket and quickly jogged over to Samantha. He placed his jacket beside her, knelt down, and spoke, "Listen and listen good. I didn't mean to make me think that I would kill you and I'm sorry for it but right now I want you to stay here and not run unless I end up falling one way or another. I've delt with things far worse than this at your age and since I survived them you should, no you will survive this. Even if I will end up dead trying to ensure that you do."

"YOU KNOW WHAT I AM? I AM A DRAGON. IF I WANTED YOU ALL DEAD I NEED BUT JUST TURN YOU INTO BARBACUE, BUT I WON'T, IF TO YOU THAT IS A THREAT, IT WAS MENT AS A WARNING." yelled Hunadin. O no not again, he thought. He beat his large leathery brown wings. Suddenly the whole place was mess with stray paper, anything not tide down went flieing in the strong gusts, the vampires and the mortals, however, stayed standing.

He did not like the fact that the vampires were trying to surround him and the fact that the message wasn't getting across that he ment no harm, to the girl or anyone. So he jumped backwards over a vampires head and into a dark corner, luckily the dark corner was large enough to keep his whole bulk hidden in the shadows. No doubt the vamps knew where he was but he hoped giving them some space would calm them down.

Then again he wasn't sure if leaving the human girl with the vamps was so good for her, but then again she was terrified of this gental giant, that is untill provoked. Then he was'nt gental any more. He had all the traites of a Dragon, firy breath, flight, extremely sharp claws and teeth, his scales could withstand bullits, even his underside was armored, a trait few Dragons had, leathery brown skin/scales, and true to his profession, a hunter!

“Listen prissy boy, I don’t give a flying fuck what you are,” Konai began with an intolerable flare among her melodic voice. “I’ve already killed one dragon today and I do not mind killing another. You have over stepped your bounds in my nation, child. You will pay dearly.” Her eyes narrowed as the hybrid leapt into the air and hovered, metal wings contracting swiftly. “Are you going to just stand there and bitch with your futile threats or are you going to fight? You are boring me to tears”
Hitomi watched as Konai’s eyes turned black. She knew what was coming… and reached out to Konai. It was useless. Hitomi spread her hands out to settle the objects in the room, and the unknown source of air which haunted them seem to be stifled with her cold red glare. Hitomi was a Shentavo, regardless of her peaceful demeaner which she usually possesed.

"LISTEN LITTLE GIRL, DID YOU NOT KNOW VULCAN WAS NOT A FULL FLEDGED DRAGON, I AM, AND YOU ARE PISSING OFF THE WRONG LIZARD." He yelled jumping from his dark courner. "BACK OFF IF YOU WISH NO HARM TO COME TO YOU," he shouted to the others. He flew high into the air and dived down, when he was on a colloision course with Konai, at the last minute he swerved aside. But not before sending a spear of deadly liquid fire at her. He made sure that if he missed or if she moved that he would not hit any of the others.

VAmpires were creatures of power, Hunadin knew this, if he was to survive or win he would either have to kill her or make her immobile, if he could not immobilise her he would kill her. He just hoped his sence of mercy would not be his undoing. He had a huge advantage over her, yes but having the dormant dragon blood only awaykened in him a few hundred years ago he was still not a master of all his power, but he knew enough to take care of this beautiful girl. Hunadin guessed that her appeal to men had been the undoing of many a poor human male.
He swooped up after the attack run and perched on the building from which he had dropped half-an-hour before. He looked down apon them...

Konai sighted. "No wonder Vulcan was so pathetic," she sighed. "Looks like he was worshipping the wrong God." Konai turned her back and let the fire run across her metalic wings. She rushed toward the hunter, and gripped his neck, pulling him in close to her. She kissed him roughly, tearing his loser lip. The two disappeared.

Hitomi fell to the floor, the threads dropping as well. She hadn't been able to stop Konai. What Konai had done was something that was in her heritage. She brough the dracon into the dark path; a realm untouchable by anyone else but a guardian. The guardians of the dark path were the Vimes family.
