This is the OOC thread for "Echoes: Redux", if you didn't read the title. (Eh?) Anywho, this is a semi-open RP, so if you want in, you'll have to talk to me, and I'll have to discuss it with my co-writer, Trans.

Background:

This is a reworking of an old story/RP that died for stupid reasons (people involved going away, personal issues, etc), and two of us really wanted to make it right, leading to this "Special Edition" thread.

For purposes of story, I jumped into my nation's future in order to jump back into the past. (The first post will make it clear.)

Trans and I will be writing this co-operatively, so if you want to get in, or just give feedback, use this thread, so the other stays clear.

What is it about?

Well, a little something called Mind Blade is the topic, and the story/RP deals with drug cartels, conspiracy, and of course, the "Waking" caused by Blade.

You're in Xenos Flare, you should recognize this stuff...

This is a Deicide RP. That means, if you enjoyed "Prometheus Fire" (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=310747) or "Seizure of Power" (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=333913), or if you're currently reading "Xenos Flare" (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=370173) or "Price of Power" (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=329597), you will recognize a lot of what's going on in this thread, and might be able to pick out some events that relate. All in all, this thread happened "first", a good fifteen-twenty years before the others, and is kind of a prequel, but it does stand alone.

Sure, but you'll have to wait for a bit, there's a lot to write in before it folds out. Also, as a warning, a lot of this is pre-planned, including the ending, but, I know you're good, so if you don't mind long waits between posts and a lot of scripting, sure.

Oh, and "Xenos Flare" is the main RP right now, this is a side project/backstory.

Incorrect use of the spanish translation. You actually said "Hello, who is this?"

If you were to use the correct spanish-english translation, you'd be saying:

"?Si, quien es?"



I am in no way, an expert on Spanish, but five years equivalence of studying, packed into four years tends to leave a few remnants behind...

I actually can't speak a lick of Spanish besides "Hello", "I don't speak Spanish", "What", and "There's a party in my pants". There's a story behind that last one, but that's for another time.

I asked Deleuze to translate for intent, not word for word, so that it would be "natural" speaking, and not fall into "bad word by word translation". I hope he did a good job of it, and it looks right to me, but for all I know, he could have written, "This man is a giant lizard." If he wrote about fire or pants, I would know.
