Today, the United States Government has released Allanea's new Uniform Crime Report. The various government agencies have expressed alarm about the figures, which have risen to an unprecedented level in Allanean history - the murder rate, for instance, is now 4.2 per 100,000 people. It is rumoured that the President is considering collecting a special task force on Violence and Crime, which will also review the reports of investigatve committees on the recent riots.
The National Rifle Association of Allanea, the Allancen Civil Liberties Union, and NORML-Allanea have released a statement condemdning 'attempts to persuade Allaneans to give up freedom for safety'. The John Birch Society has also issued a statement, attributing the rise in crime to the 'criminally lax immigration policy of the Kazansky Administration'. It is unknown as yet what exactly is the government going to do about the situation.
In other news, a grenade was rolled under the doors of a gay bar in Port-Allanea. The thrower was shot by passers by and is now in critical condition. If he lives, he will face multiple murder charges...
