COMMUNIQUE TO THE PEOPLES OF EARTH

We are the people of Varuk, a nation of proud creatures. Those vulgar people, those human rebels, these "Schrijverans" of whom you speak, are our property...I can sense what you were going to say, and we are the Slavemasters of whom the Schrijverans speak. It is most unfortunate, however, that most of our equipment was lost at the hands of that renegade, the so-called, 'Prince Talos Bjarkasson'. Sad to say, we must say we recognise Schrijveran independence...for now.

I do believe, that once the Schrijverans are back in the Varuki fold, they will become a valued member of Varuki society. We have an Observation Post on your moon, and we have a small base of operations on a small set of islands off the coast of Iceland, whereby we shall establish a trading post on the planet Earth.

However, we have arrived on the island chain with many casualties. Our equipment has been destroyed, except for the manufacturing of exo-suits. Due to our race's unique biology and our unique evolution, we must wear exo-suits when operating in your gravity or we suffer greatly.

I am sorry that I have had to land on Earth, but we will relocate off-world as soon as we can - but for now, we need assistance.

COMMUNIQUE TO CAPTAIN TODD PLISSKEN

This message was broadcasted from the surface of the Earth, on Surtsey Island off the coast of Iceland.

The Varuki people mean the Crimmond no harm. We wish only to depart swiftly, and we have already recognised the Schrijveran independence for the time being.

We wish to open trade links between our two empires.

"Schrijverans" are your property?
I think not!

You do right to recognise their independance.
If you manage to survive your present difficulties, I will be watching just incase you decide to reclaim your "property" or wish to require more of the same.

My people are deeply disturbed by your recent communique to Earth, Senior Elder. This further implies that you seek to enslave us once again.

It is hard for me to remain composed when speaking to you, but I believe that it is a good thing for you to recognise our independence. To put it in layman's terms, we beat you fair and square. Don't sulk, do your OWN work!

Plissken scowled. "Open a channel to Fleet Command." He waited until it opened. "We have a population of power psi-talents on Earth. They have proven they have the ability to reach across distances with their powers. Initiating Level One proceedures."

Another channel opened. "Varuki represenative. Your abilities are obviously very powerful. The fact that you knew my name, where my ship was and who I represent proves that you can read minds. As of an edict laid down four decades ago, all Psi-Talents of your magnitude must be removed from Terra and perhaps from Sol. Your pose too much of a threat of destablzing entire regions of this planet."

Senior Elder Makri Tenosha reached across the stars with her vast intellect, touching the mind of the staunch one again. She desired an alliance with this one.

"Perhaps you are fearful? I can sense that you are frightened.

We mean you and your people no harm. I am willing to relocate to a different system, if you help us provide the means to do so. We have no spaceships, we are as helpless as the Republic of Iceland which we sit beside.

If we can come to a mutual agreement, then perhaps I could arrange something between us, we could come to a partnership. Plissken, you do not need to fear such as I..."

OOC: Hey, my nation has a longstanding hatred of anything that reads minds. Level One is diplomacy. Guess what Level 2 will be? ;)

IC: "I don't fear you. I fear what you could do to governments around the world. You could disrupt entire political processes. You could cause a just war to end in a tyrants rule. Hell, you could even find out Granny Slag's secret pudding reciepe." That got smirks from the peopel around him. "I will speak with my superiors about suppying you with a transport ship."

"Unacceptable," Senior Elder Makri Tenosha spoke, "for you do not state where you would have us transported. Our people are few, and we cannot function properly without our exo-suits anywhere other than on low-gravity worlds. Our people are driven into the depths of agony when exposed to what you would consider to be an Earth-level gravity without the suits. I have felt this pain once before, and I do not wish to feel it again. But, if you could state a world willing to house us, we will relocate if possible, but know this: we do consider your policy racist and xenophobic."

"Now let me see, a race follows escaped slaves back to their homeland and accidently crashes then finds an offer of help unacceptable and then accuses their 'helper' of being racist and xenophobic"
*She smiles a little smile and wnaders off to see how the new nation in her region is doing*

COMMUNIQUE TO BRUSCA

You do not understand, human. How can we trust Plissken and his men with our lives if he will not reveal the details of where he will

Shelter the Schrijverans if you so wish, they will do no-one any good, for we know they cannot possibly survive without our overseeing them.

*Looks around*
Who said that?
Oh I forgot.......

Senior Elder,
I am not human, in the real sense of the word, but I will forgive someone like yourself for that mistake.
As for sheltering the Schrijverans, that is what we will do until they have the chance to regain the skills they need to fend for themselves.
If they then choose to leave us then they are welcome to, if they want to saty then they are again welcome to, no-on will keep them from doing what they themselves want, nobody will force them to do their bidding and no-one will enslave them.

As for trusting Plisskin?
*shrugs*
Have you got an option?

(I'll not bother telling you who I am as it seems you already know, *shakes head* it's just like talking to Odin, he just pops in, no sense of privacy, doesn't matter where you are, what you're doing............*sigh*)

"You don't understand. Either you get on the transport and leave for wherever teh hell you want... or we start dropping Gauss shells on you. Regulations are very strict. Psi-Talents of your magnitude must not have residence on Earth."

He looked at the others on the bridge. "Signal the Javelin Craft. Fire one volley into the sea, 100 meters off the coast."

------------

The three craft that were with the Valkyrie were long and cylindrical, with an engin pod and command pod at opposite ends. One turned about fourty degrees on it's center, to line up one of the many rows of weapons pods.

The show is space wasn't much. A few dozen flashes of light, repeated three times. Moments later, on Earth, the show was much more spectacular. Into the cold ocean slammed the white hot metal shells, which vaporised the water it touched instantly, followed by missiles which caused depthcharge-like explosions, then pulses of blue energy which almost electrified the water.

After a short time, the water stopped boiling and cooled.

------------

"I'm only a soldier. I don't make the rules, I just play by them."

Attention Senior Elder:

Though our country is on the far side of the world, we feel compelled to "answer" your statement. Firstly, your declaration of intent to own human beings is reprehensible. Second, you have been beaten by those you would seek to oppress, and now you are asking for help?

Your words have shown that while you are alien, you are still quite primitive. The Republic of Samonides supports any and all actions taken against you. You seek to enslave one group of people, how much longer will it be until you decide all of humanity should "serve" you?

You must leave Earth immediately.

Senior Elder Makri Tenosha tried to send it. One last communication for peace. The newcomer decided that if this wasn't enough, she would negotiate an agreement.

"We agree to the demands under one condition - that we be granted a single life-bearing world unoccupied by other sapient beings. We will not survive another year - let alone another century - so give us a world where we can live in peace and isolation from you and your wretched kind."

I wish that this damn creature would get out of MY HEAD!

I don't think that you have any option but to be put where we WRETCHED people decide to put you.
I am sure that the nation of Crimmond will allow Captain Plisskin to make a suitable choice for you.
(Hasn't his ship got a nice name by the way? It's very flattering! ) ;)

Plissken scowled. "YOU make demands? The transport ship will land on your island, you will get on it and you will leave this planet. After that, you can go wherever the hell you want. If you don't agreee, you not only won't survive a year... you won't survive the night."

Indeed, there was a large transport ship cruising in orbit. It could carry a small town's population in it's holds. It brushed the atmosphere and dove, shields glowing in a bubble around it.

Captain Pisskin of the Crimmond nation, this is an urgent communication.

We have already made the appropriate offer to move them, into a place of their choosing, within our galaxy. That would enable us to annihilate them if they push the envelope. I will assure I tear their psychic souls from their minds scream, and throw them into a pit of darkness from which they shall not return.

Crimmond, this is the easy course. Send that transport ship to us, and your problems are over. As for your fear of psychic abilities, not all abuse their powers, nor seek to. I lived out thousands of years on Earth, without ever altering Human history of historical event. Although your concern in this case is perfectly reasonable.

Plissken sat in the command chair of his Dreadnought and watched the transport reach the visable range of the island. Unless a weapon or a mental power of some type stopped it, the transport would cruise over the ocean and set down on it's large cargo bays. The emmense doors opened, revealing... cargo bays. Well, what did you expect? The Ritz?

The Fleet Captain sighed at the messages he recieved. He hadn't decided what to do with the aliens, except to get them off the planet. Beyond that, he was limited.

*Brusca feels a sudden pain in her head, she halts her horse and puts her hand up to her temples and squeezes.
She hears faint cries and looks around her trying to pin point the noise.
As suddenly as it had happened, the pain has gone and all is quiet.
She looks around for a moment as though there was something that she should remember, then shrugging, she kicks her steed into a trot and carries on*

"Sir, the transport is signalling that the aliens... commited mass suicide."

Plissken blinked and looked at the young officer, then at the seior science officer, who nods. "Well. That was the last thing I expected. Call the transport back. Lets get back to work."
