The man continued to run through the backstreets of Arcadia as fast as he possibly could. It seemed as if his legs were going to fall off if he kept it up much longer...

Must... keep.... running...., he thought. There was only one thing on his mind at that time, stay away from the others.

"The others wouldn't understand my motives... and the way I think. They can't possibly help me at this time."

At that point, there was a bright flash of light in front of him, in which a woman dressed as if she were an angel appeared. She was glowing as bright as the fiery flames of the sun, and her skin was as perfect as it could possibly be. She had no blemishes. Slowly landing on the ground, this mysterious woman glanced over at the man in front of her. He stopped running instantly, and stared in awe of the woman's presence.

She reached her hand out and tried to grasp the mans' arm, but in confusion, he backed away and continued to marvel at her sight. The woman frowned a bit. By the look on her face, and her quick shift of focus towards another area, the man knew that his team was getting close to him.

"This is your team, you really shouldn't run away from them. That's what you've been doing all of your life. For once, stick around and explain your actions to them. After all, you did save my life...."

The woman smiled and disappeared in a vast mist that covered the area, though, not nearly enough to give the man any cover from his team.

In the distance, shouts floated through the air from down the street saying, "There he is!" and "Catch up to him!". It was all too confusing. Should he run and give himself some time to think, or should he do what the woman suggested...

In the short amount of time he had to think, he caved in and began to run as fast as he possibly could. There was no excaping the fact that he was scared...scared that he may have ruined the whole mission for his team. His actions today could cost his fellow teammates their own lives...and despite his fear, he considered all of them his only friends.

OOC: Basically, I'm leaving this as vague as I possibly can, but still trying to develop a plot for everyone to understand. This team of men and women captured the mysterious woman, for reasons unknown to you (for obvious reasons, it'll be revealed later), but this one man (who has yet to be named) released her, and set her free. He got scared, and ran away from the rest of his team, not realizing what he had done.
I'd like to keep this for active RP'ers only, and for people that I have an idea of their own RP skills. It's very open, so feel free to join in as a team member, or someone that is un-related to the plot (so far). I can find a way to link them. Perhaps a friend of the woman?

Yellow, almost snake-like eyes watched as the man ran frantically, then stopped as some strange woman appeared before him, speaking words he could not hear himself. He heard the shouts coming from down the street and stepped into the street, quickly pulling the man into the shadows of a nearby alley.

He shoved the man behind a few garbage cans and motioned for him to remain silent. He himself leaned against the wall inconspiciously, watching as the team ran past, still shouting.

Amateurs...

Once they were gone, he turned to face the man, who seemed to look at him incredulously, almost with a disbelieving look on his face. The yellowed eyed male stood before him, his entire body covered in scales with a reddish tint to them. His facial features were draconic in appearance, and he bore strong leathery wings that were folded at rest behind him. His muscles bulged clearly, even under the armor that he wore. His hair had long ago changed from onyx to a silver hue, and hung backwards to his shoulders. His tail floated a few inches above the ground behind him idly.

In his hand, he bore a spiked club of sorts, which he tapped in his hand lightly. He sighed slightly as he realized what was going on.

"Relax. I'm not here to hurt you. I am Tokram. Why do you run from them?"

The man was frightened by the sudden appearance of a massive looking fellow. He stopped running, afraid of being killed by one swift punch, but the stranger grabbed him, and hid him from his team.

Perhaps he's here to help me... as the man scrambled for something to say.

He looked up at the stranger and felt an odd energy. One that wasn't frightening to the touch, but ...very eerie. It was quite warm, and very inviting, but still not knowing this fellow good enough made him refuse to connect with his energy.

"My name is ...Ruairi. I was on a mission to capture the woman that appeared before me, and to dispose of her immediately. Her life will put the entire planet in danger in the near future, with the power that she has. The sad thing is, she doesn't even realize what she can do."

He kicked a garbage can, lying in the alley as hard as he could, making a massive noise in the distant night. The frustration began to build-up in his eyes. He was never known to be emotional, but tonight...he ruined everything just because of a stupid feeling he had. He let her go. The world could have been saved already, but he failed.

"It'll be my fault if this witch destroys everything on this filthy planet..." he grumbled.

Tokram studied the man before him carefully. So...weak, afraid. He considered just leaving this guy out on his own, but then again, his story intrigued him. Perhaps it was a path to find his last relic, the last of six relics that would grant him the final key to the unlocking of ancient powers of his bloodline. This woman the man spoke of seemed to be quite the very path he needed to take. How, or why, he did not know.

"What exactly is she capable of?" he asked at long last. "Perhaps we can inform her, wherever she is, of her unknown strength and possibly prevent undesired results?"

"It was in my ....vision." He shrugged. "You'll probably think I'm crazy, but I personally seen this woman use her powers to kill my team, and destroy the world slowly, with the use of forbidden magic. Not just simple spells...spells that even I don't know. Ones that can cause havoc upon innocent people across the world."

Ruairi began to shake, and his teeth began to chatter. He couldn't think of any possible way to stop her, but they still had some time before she finishes her task.

"She's going to use her magic whether we talk to her or not. My visions have never led me astray. Will you help me in stopping her?" Ruairi asked. "I know you don't even know me, and I understand if you'd rather not get involved, but this is for the sake of the planet. We need to do everything we can to stop her."

He looked around menacingly, as if there were someone there in the shadows listening.

"Perhaps we should take this conversation to a place safer than the alleyway of Arcadia. I have a place not far from here, where we can talk."

He pointed in a different direction, past the alley and across from the city library.

"That's where I live. If you wish to help me, follow me; however, if you don't wish to get involved, then I would assume this conversation never happened."

Tokram watched as the man stole away in the night toward his home. He remained where he was, thoughts going through his mind. The obvious danger was constantly nagging him, but he paid it no heed.

Finally, he took off in a slight jog after Ruairi and slowed to a walk by his side. "I'm listening." he said while not looking at the man, instead keeping his eyes scanning the dark night carefully.

(OOC - No, no need for that. Just starting my char naive about her. Let me know if what follows is to your approval.)

Michael jerked awake. The same nightmares ran through his mind, never altering, only rotating. This was from when he had been captured on Capella IV. He had made master sergeant in Central Worlds military but left after the Capellan wars. Those were some of the worst conflicts he had ever known. Many didn't live to the end, he had, and sometimes he wondered if that was a blessing or not. Afterward he fell into the bottle for seven years drifting from one security job to the next. Finally he had taken a shuttle and left the system. His wife, his job, his pride even, all gone. But he didn't die. He crashed landed on this backward world. Highport had a king and Dragonsreach a Queen. The king gave him another chance at life and he grabbed it with both hands.

Tonight though .... the dream had changed. He remembered that day. The day the woman came to him. He had been wounded, hungry, thirsty and running for his life from a full squad. He had fallen, unable to continue. That was when she had come to him. The angel. The woman he never spoke of because he had never been sure if she was real or not. One moment he was injured and about to die. The next, though it was a week later, he woke up walking through the jungles, out of it, to a base camp for the Central Worlds marines. He had asked her why she was helping him. "For the future", she had said.

This time the answer was, "The future is now, and I need you, as you needed me."

So it was that the former master sergeant and tactical expert reached out to his contact button.

"Commander?" He knew it was late but it didn't matter. She would answer because he was the chief of security for the palace and she was next in line for general of highports forces.

"Michael? This had better be good."

"I'm taking a Wraith and heading out."

Susan frowned, "And might I know why it is you need a stealth fighter?"

"Not yet, classified security issue."

"You know I'm quilifed for..."

"Then lets say it's personal, okay?"

She sighed, "Be careful Michael. Send the forms to my personal mail, I'll clear them."

"Thanks", he said.

He went to the weapons locker and took out two pulse plasma rifles and a second PPG then got into his flight suit and headed to the hanger. In a few minutes he had left the planet and set his course. He suddenly realized that he didn't know his course, but he was sure she would tell him or guide him in some way.

"Your nuts, Michael", he mumbled to himself.

Hearing the noise of the chase, Koryl Tarethon raced through the alleyways until Ruairi came into view. He arrived just in time to see mysterious woman vanish, and watched from the shadows as Tokram hid Ruairi from his pursuers.

He wasn't close enough to here exactly what was said, but his feline ears caught enough that he was sure it would be worth taking the time to learn more. Moving in near silence, he followed the two.

Something about the semi-draconic figure prodded at his memory, though he couldn't quite recall why.

OOC: Feel free to notice him, of course.

Koryl's of average height, with feline ears and slit-pupiled eyes. His build is very slender, with long limbs and fingers. His skin looks like it has been darkened with a slight dusting of charcoal or a small amount of black ink - the color isn't evenly distributed. His hair is short, and dark brown with faintly noticeable black stripes. His clothing is black and loose fitting. He carries a short sword with a black handle, several knives, and a few weapons that are harder to identify.

Ruairi looked over towards Tokram, and stared at him for a brief amount of time. There was something about this guy...he seemed extremely stubborn, but noble. He had some great qualities about him, and knew that he would become important further down the line.

Ruairi had the ability to sense someones' strength and weaknesses immediately when he seen them, as well as the ability to read the strangers' energy to determine if his own energy was compatible to theirs. In this case, it wasn't a perfect match, which was a rarity in its own, but nonetheless, it was a odd, but good fit.

"To be honest with you, I'm not sure about how we would go to capture her. For all we know, she could be listening to our conversation right now." as Ruairi shrugged. "The only thing we may be able to do is to make her think we're going to support her, gain her trust, then capture her when the time is right. I suppose that is cheap...but to save the world, any method is the same. It'll get the job done."

Ruairi stopped. He felt a ...different energy approaching at a faster rate. Immediately, he looked over at Tokram, nodded his head, made a spin to face the opposite way that he was previously facing, and made a quick dash. he grabbed the dark intruder, and put him up against the closest wall.

"Who are you!" he shouted.

"Oof!"
For a moment after the impact, red light flickered around the stranger. He seemed a bit stunned by Ruairi's speed, but quickly regained his composure. Koryl was used to rough welcomes and startling people.

"There's no need to shout; my hearing is actually quite good. My name is Koryl Tarethon. And you are?"

His right hand rested upon a small, five-spoked metal wheel, which was tightly tied to his belt.

Tokram watched as Ruairi quickly held their stalker to a wall. He had noticed the approach of the stalker before Ruairi had, the feline's lightly padding feet having given him away too easily for his draconic hearing. He stood back a bit, wanting to observe what this stranger would do to their stalker.

His eyes naturally watched the stalker's hands. A finger twitched slightly toward some round object on the belt. He wasn't going to have any of that, and with surprising speed, he had his blade pressed into the feline's hand. When the stalker shifted his eyes to Tokram in surprise, he only saw Tokram shaking his head negatively. Tokram's eyes seemed to bore into the soul of the feline, a stare that seemed devoid of any warmth. An ironic feature considering his element. Tokram made sure that the stalker clearly saw the small ball of flames that spun in a sphere in the other palm.

Any wrong moves, and they were going to have fried kitty, extra crispy.

Koryl nodded understandingly, and slowly moved his hand away from the weapon.

That one's incredibly fast. he thought. A flame-wielder, as well, and strong enough that he wants me to know it. No surprise there; most draconics use magic, and fire is by far the most common.

He began shaping a water shield in his mind, just in case. It wouldn't hold off dragonfire for long, but it might last long enough...

OOC: You just had to go and ruin my potential threat, didn't you! He wouldn't have used it except to avoid torture or death, but of course Tokram has no way to know that.

"Ruairi had the ability to sense someones' strength and weaknesses immediately when he seen them, as well as the ability to read the strangers' energy to determine if his own energy was compatible to theirs."
If you give me a bit more information about Ruairi's senses, Euroslavia, I'll better be able to describe what he would recognize about Koryl.

IC:White Tower of Magical Affairs, Caladonn:
The room was bright as long rows of mages sat hunched over pools of water, flickering images in each. An air of intense concentration pervaded the room, as one mage suddenly blinked and sat up. He quickly left through a side door, opening into an office with much the same atmosphere and floor-to- quite-high-ceiling bookshelves. A small imp hovered close to its master's ear, ready to retrieve any books too high for his reach. The senior mage was seated in an imposing high-backed chair when the junior ran excitedly in. He was slender, even for an elf, and had a silver robe that complimented his emerald eyes. "Sir, I have found something that will interest you!" The senior mage looked up in annoyance. "What is it, young Aramil? You interrupted me from a very old book on the lore of teleportation." he said waspishly. "Oh sir, I'm sure you'll think this is very important. Look!" The young elf pulled out an oval scrying glass, not able to perform the intensive scrying of the pools in the other room, but good enough. An image appeared, of a human running, and then an angelic (for a human) woman appearing in front of him. then, a draconic creature, and what appeared to be a catfolk. "Well, this is a bit interesting!" The senior mage remarked. "A human woman of not inconsiderable power, and two previously unkown species! Where did you say this is from? The border on (insert planet's name)? This may be of no insignificant importance. I will notify the Council and they will send an operative."
"Oh, Senior Mage, if you please, I would like to go in the stead of an operative from the council," Aramil said. "I know I do not have much experience, but that is the only way I will earn a promotion!" The normally austere demeanour of the senior mage softened for a moment, and he said,"Well...Very well then, Aramil. I know your need to prove yourself to Caladonnian society, and you do show promise, so I suppose you may go. I will notify the council." Aramil jumped up in delight. He said,"Oh, thank you sir! You won't regret this!" And hurried off to the Teleportation pads. Oh, I'm sure I will, the senior mage thought grimly. Having to explain to the council that I sent a young stripling on a mission because my heart wouldn't let me do otherwise? I almost envy him. He returned to his book, but there was a twinkle in his eye.

Teleportation Pads, Collegiate Arcane, Caladonn:
Aramil strode briskly through the magically manicured lawns, passing groups of mages talking and pacing about. I finally have a mission! He thought with exultation. He ascended via levitation cube to the Teleportation Pads, and entered the bustling hall, filled with mages running about and the zap of teleportation magic. Hundreds of Inscribed circles dotted the hall. Aramil looked a little bewildered, until a junior mage dressed in the yellow robe of teleportation strode up to him. "Destination," He curtly announced, pulling out a wand and tapping the nearest circle. Err...Arcadia, (insert planet's name)." Aramil managed to utter, and the teleportation mage quickly uttered an incantation, and a glowing yellow portal appeared. Aramil quickly stepped through, thanking the mage. He stepped out onto a completely different world. It was night-time, and the long shadows of darkened buildings made hideous designs upon the alley in which he had appeared. He shivered, and opened his robes to reveal his scrying glass. he quickly uttered an incantation, and the glass showed the layout of the surrounding area. A red blip marred the surface in the far corner. That must be the place, Aramil thought, remembering the draconic creature with a ball of flame in his hand he had seen in the pool. The creature must be using fire magic, that's why it showed up on the Scrying Glass. Well, I might as well get going, Aramil thought. He strode along at a brisk pace, using his glass to navigate the twisted alleys and his feet to avoid the all-too-common undesirable objects. Nearing the place, he uttered another incantation and disappeared. He strained with the concentrated effort required, but managed to pull it off. He wanted to observe these creatures unnoticed.

Well, I assumed this draconic creature was fire based because you posted that "Tokram made sure that the stalker clearly saw the small ball of flames that spun in a sphere in the other palm." I kind of meant that the scrying device detects magic, and so would find Tokram if he was using fire magic. If he isn't, then I can have Aramil find someone completely unrelated.

He uses summoning and fire/arcane/shadow/poison/earth/demon magic.
He's alignment is neutral despite his heritage.
He doesn't know who his father is.(personal quest who can change his behaviour and I don't want him to find out yet)
He's personal favorite summoning and pet is a succubus named 'Lili'

Can I use him or do I better use some other low lvl or a less filled history kind of character.

First of all, this is NationStates, not D&D, Ragnarok, or whatever. Here on Nationstates, it is usually customary to start with a low strength character that would (through roleplaying) get stronger as time passes. Jumping into this game with a level 33 supertrooper or whatever the hell you have (when most of us probably don't have any idea how to equate the strength anyway) is not a wise idea.

Now if you wanted to create a character based off another one from another game, go ahead, but it's kinda frowned upon to duplicate exactly. This is Nationstates. Everyone starts at square one. You can't come in with an 'OMG I IZ TH' SHIZNIT!' kinda character. You'll get ignored before you even finish saying that.

Take my character for example, Tokram Firescales. He's a Draman (draconic man) with fire capabilities. He started out as a normal guy who had draconic blood in him. A series of quests over time helped him slowly unlock his strength (he's now searching for the last relic of six in total). I created this character about a year ago, and still am working him through. By now, he's decently strong, by by no means indestructible.

Realism is a favored thing here on Nationstates. Good luck, and may your muse carry you far.

EDIT: I'm taking this little bit of conversation to be put into here: OOC: Writing Emporium (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=412161). It will be wise for any new people to take a look at this thread, as it will help you.

Aramil, through the haze induced by invisibility, could feel that he was getting close. The sounds of muted voices reached his ears. "I smell magic in the area. I'm not sure exactly what, but you might want to keep an eye out for it. I know you don't trust me, but at least you know where I am." Aramil stiffened. They know I'm here! The catfolk can smell magic! His mind raced, and he almost lost concentration enough to return to visibility, but he retained a grip on himself and inched closer. Now the three of them were in view, the draconic creature pinning the catfolk to the wall, while the human stood by. I better keep at a distance and observe them, Aramil thought. He continued to concentrate on remaining invisible.

OOC: Ruairi is in tune with his energy and the energy around him. He's able to adapt the energy around him by focusing on it, and forcing his energy upon it. His skills aren't exactly in full potential, but they are reliable for the smaller tasks. In Ruairi's eyes, energy is everything. If someone elses energyis stronger than his, he has certain ways of putting up a fight, but I suppose thats a whole different story. Beyond reading an opponents energy, Ruairi is also able to read their strengths and weaknesses. I'm keeping the definition of "reading an opponents energy" very broad because there are so many different things that could be deemed as a strength or weakness. As the story develops, it'll be explained.

IC:
Immediately, Ruairi sensed the tension in the air between his friend and this stranger. Their energies were already in full battle, and all that was left was for the physical fight to occur. Something must be done to stop it.

"Both of you! Don't even think about it! he yelled.

Turning over to the mysterious man that he held to the ground, he asked him, "Who are you and why were you sneaking up on me?"

His thoughts began to race.
Was this guy a stranger trying to get into my business in hopes of squandering anything he can get? Was he a minion of the vanishing woman? Was he willing to aid our group in the quest to rid the world of this sort of evil?

There were many questions to be asked of him, and if they weren't answered...well...they will get answered. If they weren't answered up to Ruairi's standards, methods would be used in getting the answers that he wished.

Caladonn: Perhaps you want to separate your previous posts into paragraphs. I know it can be very discouraging for certain people in reading other peoples' posts when they are massive one paragraph posts.

Tokram was not liking the arrival of many new figures from the shadows. He looked over to Ruairi, wondering for a brief moment if this guy had a sort of psychic magnet drawing all these other people to him.

He positioned himself discreet, prepared in case violence exploded this ever increasing gathering.

Ruairi began to think about what had just happened in the past fifteen minutes. You have to admit, it was pretty strange...and this guy seems like he really doesn't have a clue about what's going on.

"Alright, get up." whispered Ruiari.

"Erm... I'm sorry for the... aggressiveness. I didn't mean to harm you. It's just that you were following me. What else was I supposed to do? You probably could have chosen a better way in getting in contact with me, if that's what you wanted, but hey, I'll look past that."

He looked back at Tokram, and hoped that he had something on his mind to help the situation.

Ruairi whispered to Tokram in an odd fashion, "What should we do with him? Should we take him along with us? What if we tell him about the whole situation, and he decides not to join us? We can't afford to have people running away from the situation and spreading all of the news across town. Riots would break out, and cause even more of a disruption than anything."

Tokram turned his draconic eyes to glare upon the one that Ruairi was speaking about. He studied the creature's eyes, as if he were reading teh man's eyes.

He kept his gaze while talking to Ruairi in a similar fashion, "Bring him."

He turned to the others who had approached, "You're coming with us too." He glared at each of them, daring them to try to slip away. "You'll find this little quest to be interesting..." he added, shifting his eyes between all present.

Ruairi turned back towards Koryl and gave him a stern look, then looked back at Tokram. He sighed, and started to walk towards the house that they had originally planned to go to, before he was rudely interrupted.

"You can come with us. We'll explain everything to you when we get to my house, that is, if you didn't secretly listen to our conversation as well."

He stopped, turned around towards Koryl, gave him a worried look, and began to examine him. His energy was ..different. It was cold... almost numbing. He felt scared to let his own energy depart his body and move in his direction, because the essence of Koryl's energy would probably freeze his own energy.

A brief flash came in Ruairi's eyes... a flash of war. It was as if some sort of foreshadowing was to occur. A battle between Ruairi and Koryl? He wasn't too sure. It could have been anyone.

Aramil studied the trio. It appeared as if the human had some odd powers, that would be interesting to find more about. The draconic creature and the catfolk appeared in a strained alliance, and they were heading away.

I'll have to reveal myself sometime, I won't get very far in this mission if I don't, thought Aramil. He concentrated, and withdrew his invisibility as he stepped forward, ready for any hostile move they might make. "I am Aramil, a Junior Mage of Caladonn, and I would like to help you if our plans coincide."

Tokram's eyes flared briefly as yet another figure stepped forth. It was clear he was not liking the party growing exponentially by the minute. He glared at the newcomer, leaving Ruairi to deal with the newcomer.

He strode away, sheathing his blade at his side and muttered to himself in his native language.

Ruairi muttered a few words under his breath about how many people failing at spying on the group. If you were gonna try and find out at what the group was going to do, at least make an effort at keeping yourself hidden...

"Come along with us, Aramil.", he said in a melancholy manner. "I assume you heard everything that has been said?"

He turned back around, and headed the group towards his house, which they had finally reached. He paused for a second to look at the night sky. There were no clouds in sight, and all of the stars were out.

Tonight's going to be an interesting night... he thought. Last time it was so clear out... Ruairi's thought process stopped in the middle of his sentence. He shook his head and pulled out his keys from his left pocket. It took him a few seconds to search for the correct key to open the front door. He reached out, inserted the key into the lock, and opened the door.

He looked at everyone in the group, and said, "After you. Take a seat in the living room. We have a lot to discuss."

"Yes, I did. I apologize for the unforseen entrance, but I deemed it best for my mission to remain unseen at first." He took a seat in the room.

Koryl brushed himself off and followed calmly.
"If I'd heard what you were saying, I wouldn't have had to follow you to try to find out what happened." he said, with a wink.

Koryl whirled to face the mage as he appeared, his left hand dropping to his sword hilt. He relaxed as Aramil spoke; and silently noted that the scent he had noticed earlier was vanishing.

When the group arrived at Ruairi's home, Koryl found a chair that would allow him to sit without removing his sword belt and waited for the explanation to begin.

OOC: Sorry about the delayed post; I've been rather busy with a project for school.

OOC: Was hoping for a Tarlachia reply, but I suppose I should reply before this RP dies...

IC: Ruairi looked at all of the people who sat in his house. It seemed like some sort of international gathering of freaks, no insult intended. But that didn't matter. The fact of the matter is that the planet is in danger, and these people were at least interested in helping to save it.

He poured out a glass of wine for himself and for everyone else, and handed it to them. He figured if he could get them a little drunk, perhaps he could convince them to join the quest. After he took a sip of his own wine, he gave a brief chuckle, sat down, and closed his eyes for a few seconds. Ruairi needed to concentrate on what he was going to say, and how he was going to say it. It was certainly confusing to a normal person out there.

"Alright now. Listen to what I have to say, and if you have any questions, wait until I'm done talking. I'm going to explain this once, and I'm gonna hope that you all understand this. That lady out there, that came to me while my team was chasing after me; she is the one that is going to threaten the very existance of the planet. She's young and inexperienced, but when she begins to learn about her life, she'll realize that at her parents union, she was given powers that no other human being could ever wield. She has the power to ultimately destroy the world, and that's where we come in. We need to stop her from doing so. That's the hard part..."

Ruairi looked around the room, and made sure that everyone was listening to him. He took a sip of his wine, then started to talk again.

"She has the ability to teleport, to a certain extent. I believe that the furthest she can go is up to a mile away, unless something is blocking her from initially teleporting. Trapping her in a cage, though inhumane, is one of the few ways that we can stop her from teleporting her way out of our traps. I can't go into much more detail about where she is, and how the hell we're going to capture her in the first place...but that's where you all come in. I need your help in making suggestions about getting her to come along with us."

He stopped talking, and downed the rest of his wine. This was going to be a long night...

"Very interesting," Aramil said as he pretended to sip his wine. He had found that most types of human wine did not taste well to an elf. "I'm afraid that her teleportation and the fact she can destroy the world is very little to go on. At the moment, I advocate reconnaisance and surveillance. We may be able to find out more about her. This, no doubt, will prove essential."

The wine glass sat before Tokram, untouched even once. He listened as Ruairi described what they were looking at. Still, like one of the others had observed, it was not much to go on. He toyed with a ball of fire between his fingertips, making it appear as if it were a stationary sun about three inches in diameter. There were even minature solar flares observed as well. Anything of metal nearby was slightly pulled toward the gravity that had accumulated between his hands, but he made sure that it was minimal at best.

He looked up to Ruairi, his draconic eyes studying him. Finally he spoke.

"You say you know how to stop her. So, why haven't you done so yet?"
