GOALKEEPERS:
[ 85 ] Jimmy Kater [ - Strike FC - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 29 GOALS::SR: U21: REG: )
Jimmy Kater took over the starting position on the National Team under the intense spotlight of the World Cup 17 Finals in Vilita. Kater has remained first choice keeper since then, despite a Quarter Final exit to Liverpool England. After leading the Vilita Under-21's to the Under-21 World Cup 7 Championship, Kater left a deflating Tivali City to join up-and-comers Arcticala Inlet, who he led to the top half of the Stellar Division tables. Kater earned a pair of consecutive Vilitan Cup titles with Arcticala Inlet, before returning to Strike FC ater the departure of Bryan 'Pop' Duiker
[ 86 ] Delain Falcón [ - Yeaddin Owls AFC - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 26 GOALS::SR: U21: REG: )
Falcon signed for Vilita Declasse side Akisa Surta midway through Vilitan Season 9, joining the club in a promotion battle. He is the first ever recognized international from Akisa Surta, And has large shoes to fill in defending Vilita's Under 21 Championship earned by National Hero Jimmy Kater. He took a further step in filling Kater's shoes by joining his former team, Stellar Division side Tivali City in Season 11.
[ 95 ] Jawz Oaker [ - Lopinka - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 16 GOALS::SR: U21: REG: )
Jawz Oaker is the son of Colonial Sile and Oaker national midfielder Arthin Oaker, who moved to Vilita early in his career after his impressive performances for Oaker in past World Cups. Jawz was called up to the Vilita Under 21 squad as Oaker did not participate in the Under-21's, qualifying through his residency and his Mother, a Vilitan. The young keeper spent most of Season 15 on loan to Mavaloiao, before being recruited by Doug Freech's Lopinka side, Declasse champions looking for a starting keeper for their return campain in the Stellar Division.
[ 89 ] Manolis Masi [ - Marine Coast United - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 23 GOALS::SR: U21: REG: )
Manolis Masi moved the Mavaloiao during Vilitan Season 13, and helped lead the team back to the Stellar Division for the first time Since Vilitan Season 1.
[ 88 ] Ilias Soma-Phiri [ - Kionao Locals (TUR) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 28 GOALS::SR: 1 U21: 0 REG: 0 )
Soma-Phiri became the first ever Vilitan Goalkeeper to register an international goal after coming on as a midfield substitute in World Cup 18 Qualifiers. His instant media attention netted him a lucrative transfer to Turoki Isle in Vilitan Season 9.
DEFENDERS:
[ 3 ] Jaloey Afrikka [ - Yeaddin Owls AFC - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 33 GOALS::SR: 0 U21: 1 REG: 1 )
Jaloey Afrikka is one of the quiet talents in the Vilita lineup. A regular in the team since graduating from the Under-21 side, Jaloey is always in the roster somewhere, either starting or on the bench, when the Vilitan teamsheet is announced. With the retirement of Vilitan defensive legends Giacomo Adika and Enzo Ahat, Afrikka finds himself as first-choice Central Defender for the World Cup 19 Finals. Afrikka will have added confidence after returning home to Jlinal Cove FC, the club where he got his start, after a stint in the Stellar Division with Turoki Isle and Strike FC. The well travelled Afrikka is the only player known to have featured for the Vilitan Trio, after signing with Yeaddin Owls, Afrikka featured for Strike FC and Marine Coast United in addition to a host of other teams throughout his career.
[ 6 ] Ricky Ezis [ - Yeaddin Owls AFC - ]
------- D RC ( AGE: 29 GOALS::SR: 3 U21: 1 REG: 1 )
Ricky Ezis is one of the most exciting prospects in all of Vilita, being molded in the exact form of the most capped Vilitan player in history, Enzo Ahat. The Strike FC defender plays alongside former Vilitan Nationals Danilo Liguori and David Leacock in the Stellar Division and frequently outshines his more experienced teammates. His performances have consistently earned him selection to the National team in favor of this duo, and Arcticala Inlet's Emarka Laniora. Ricky transferrd to Yeaddin Owls in Season 14 and helped lead them to the Stellar Division Championship.
[ 9 ] Andrea Lamberti [ - Jlinal Cove FC - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 23 GOALS::SR: U21: REG: )
Lamberti became the youngest player to ever feature for the first team at Arcticala Inlet and has been tipped as the next Giacomo Adika after a high profile transfer to Nusira-Lionta following Vilitan Season 9. At just 17 years old, looked set to be a regular in the Vilitan starting lineup following the semi-retirement of Adika and Enzo Ahat. However, a widely-publicized screw up in World Cup 19 cost Lamberti his position at Nusira Lionta, and he moved to Jlinal Cove.
[ 8 ] Niccoló Mazzeo [ - Inland Peaks FC - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 23 GOALS::SR: 0 U21: 3 REG: 0 )
Niccoló Mazzeo earned a favorable report from Vilitan Coach Helmut Vilkaus and was tapped to replace Esemar Aliana upon his retirement from International Play.
[ 4 ] Sibusiso Azaïez [ - Marine Coast United - ]
------- D C (SW) ( AGE: 31 GOALS::SR: U21: REG: )
Azaiez never realized his potential, from Marine Coast, never becoming a regular starter on the national team, but still leads his youthful teammates with his skills
[ 5 ] Petros Alfieri [ - Marine Coast United - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 28 GOALS::SR: 0 U21: 1 REG: 0 )
Petros Alfieri is just the next in the ever growing list of impressive defenders coming from the Marine Coast Academy. Coached by utility player Baron O'Toole and defensive great elekim Cairns, the Marine Coast Academy has already graduated names like Cairns, Enzo Ahat and Sibusiso Azaiez. Alfieri, a strict Central Defender, has a bit of a temper to overcome before seeing a regular starting role with the National Team, being sent off multiple times in the Vilitan League season, including an embarrassing dismissal against non-league Mliona-Lpaka that led to Marine Coast's early exit from the Vilitan Cup.
[ 67 ] Ade Hinds [ - Eastal Lunar - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 20 GOALS::SR: U21: REG: )
Ade Hinds transferred to Turoki Isle for Vilitan Season 14 after the Islanders made a surprise shift towards Vilitan based talent, offloading foreigners Alejandro Vantrease and Henrik Bastale
[ 63 ] Dene Shaw [ - Lopinka - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 19 GOALS::SR: U21: REG: )
Dene Shaw was the first player to ever receive international recognition from Turoki United after being called the the Under 21 squad in Under 21 World Cup 12. However, Turoki United's failure to promote from the Declasse division saw Shaw ultimately leave the club, as his stock rose so did his ego and there was no better place for his ego than Lopinka Rovers, controlled by Liverpool England's Doug Freech, newly promoted in Season 16 to the Stellar Division
[ 65 ] Timmy Leaburn [ - Liguon Valley - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 18 GOALS::SR: U21: REG: )
[ 66 ] Emarka Laniora [ - Yeaddin Owls AFC - ]
------- D RLC ( AGE: 30 GOALS::SR: 0 U21: 0 REG: 2 )
Solid Defender from the rising Alikki-Corra Youth system that also produced Esemar Aliana and Marasent Siaone. Called up to the National Team for the AOCAF competition while Full National Players were out at the World Cup Qualifiers and is still a regular call up for Regional or Fill-In national team roles.
[ 61 ] Tanner Lembi [ - Turoki Isle - ]
------- D LR ( AGE: 28 GOALS::SR: 0 U21: 2 REG: 0 )
Lembi Transferred to Eastal Lunar in Vilitan Season 9 in a high-profile move that saw him leave Strike for the first time.
[ 68 ] Kagiso Alfieri-Molali [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
------- D R ( AGE: 23 GOALS::SR: 2 U21: 0 REG: 0 )
[ 2 ] Tulio Arizmendi [ - Jhanna City (STR) - ]
------- D RLC ( AGE: 25 GOALS::SR: 0 U21: 1 REG: 0 )
The unknown Defender made an impact after a late call into the Under-21's, scoring once on the way to the Under-21 World Championship
[ 60 ] Ricata Tivalan [ - Siji~e Xkora (Rej) - ]
-------------- D C ( AGE: 17 GOALS::SR: U21: REG: )
DEFENSIVE MID:
[ 31 ] Christian Sanou [ - Eastal Lunar - ]
------- D DM RC ( AGE: 25 GOALS::SR: 1 U21: 2 REG: 0 )
A star out of place in his lowly club side, Sanou is leading the new crop of Defensive Midfielders being trained under Vilitan legend Jurgen Ramzi. Ramzi was recruited by Jlinal Cove FC after their relegation to the Declasse Division of the Vilitan Football Pyramid, and since has introduced a wealth of Defensive Midfield talent to Vilitan head coach Helmut Vilkaus. Under-21 International Sanou has risen from absolutely nowhere under Ramzi's leadership to bypass Liverpool England based Antonis Ratuva and Corra Rangers' Lai Otieno to challenge Ramzi himself for his place in the starting lineup for World Cup 19. Sanou established himself in the Vilitan squad, and earned himself a transfer in Season 16 to Vilita Cup 15 winners Eastal Lunar, after many seasons at Jlinal Cove.
[ 35 ] Mauro Capuano [ - Eastal Lunar - ]
------- DM C ( AGE: 23 GOALS::SR: 0 U21: 2 REG: 0 )
[ 33 ] Michele Mariano [ - Jlinal Cove FC - ]
------- DM LC ( AGE: 23 GOALS::SR: 0 U21: 0 REG: 1 )
[ 34 ] Daniel Oram [ - Yeaddin Owls AFC - ]
------- DM C ( AGE: 21 GOALS::SR: 2 U21: 0 REG: 0 )
Oram made one of the most predictable transfers in season 15, covering the gaping defensive midfield spot at the Yeaddin Owls after attracting attention by being called to the Under-21 Squad and being named captain while playing for Non-League Alikki-Corra
[ ] Antonis Ratuva [ - Iskara Daii (STR) - ]
------- D DM RC ( AGE: 32 GOALS::SR: 0 U21: 1 REG: 3 )
Called to the U21 side for Defensive Midfield cover in U21wcIV, Ratuva had an impressive debut season in Central Defense for Jlinal Wanderers in the Vilitan Lower Leagues, and was noticed when Baron O'Toole attended the Jlinal Wanderers v. Turoki Isle Vilitan Cup match
MIDFIELDERS:
[ 14 ] Inaki Soler [ - Inland Peaks FC - ]
------- AM RLC ( AGE: 26 GOALS::SR: 8 U21: 9 REG: 1 )
Inaki Soler may be the greatest Vilitan talent since Santo Kecker graced the Vilitan history books with the first ever game-winning Vilitan goal against Compound Interest in World Cup 13 Qualifying. Despite a lack of goals so far in his senior career, a high profile-record transfer to the ever-improving Yeaddin Owls AFC was sure to do nothing but improve his chances of keeping his place in the Vilita side. With Helmut Vilkaus announcing an emphasis on Wings in the coming years, many expect Soler to breakthrough and take his place as the first-choice Vilitan midfielder. However, Soler left the Owls with friend Antonis Siazzu during the Season 12 Exodus to train independantly and focus on international play. After starting the first half of Season 13 with Alikki-Corra, Soler returned to Yeaddin Owls and sparked a resurretion that saw the Owls catch and pass Strike FC to earn their 10th Stellar Division title. But Once again, Soler showed an uncanny unpredictability, by ditching newly acquired friend Antonis Siazzu, and the Yeaddin faithful, after they failed to secure the championship in Season 15. Soler was talked into joining Inland Peaks FC by former Yeaddin teammate Riccardo Appolloni, and as his contract ran out with Yeaddin, Soler once again refused to resign and walked into a new and questionable chapter in his very fascinating domestic career.
[ 20 ] Antonis Siazzu [ - Yeaddin Owls AFC - ]
------- AM C ( AGE: 23 GOALS::SR: 5 U21: 7 REG: 0 )
Siazzu is a product of the Yeaddin Owls youth academy, moving on a fully funded loan deal to Melmondian side Titania Forests during the World Cup 19 Qualifiers. The impressive youth midfielder is one of the youngest since World Cup 13 to make a regular starting role in the Senior National Team, taking up the role during World Cup 19 Qualifiers at just 17 years of age. Working under Coach Nigel Chapman, Siazzu was apart of arguably the best midfield lineup in the entire World, taking up a central role alongside Calaesa Mitaroka, with the phenominal Inaki Soler and the always reliable Tanner Nerni on either side. However, Siazzu and Soler left the Owls during the Season 12 Exodus to train independantly and focus on international play. However, after failing to achieve promotion with Alikki-Corra in Season 13, the price on Siazzu's head was to much for the Declasse side to pass up, with the exciting young midfielder moving to Arcticala Inlet for a fee almost double that of the previous record for a Vilitan club. Arcticala failed to press for the Stellar Division title, despite 4 consecutive appearances in the Vilitan Cup final, and Siazzu returned to partner old friend Inaki Soler at Yeaddin Owls AFC In Season 16 for a fee much reduced from the fee Inlet paid to acquire him from Alikki-Corra.
[ 51 ] Jonjo Hulyer [ - Marine Coast United - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 19 GOALS::SR: 2 U21: 0 REG: 0 )
Jonjo Hulyer is one of the most exciting prospects to come out of the Marine Coast academy in many seasons. He is expected to challenge for a place in the Marine Coast Lineup at just 16 years of age, Preferring to attack down the middle or on the left flank.
[ 26 ] Maurizio Sala [ - Marine Coast United - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 25 GOALS::SR: 0 U21: 5 REG: 0 )
The former Tivali City youth trainee transferred to Nusira Lionta from Marine Coast during Vilitan season 9 in an attempt to get regular first team action. Sala was left with just 10 starts in two seasons with Marine Coast before being transferred to Turoki Isle, where he learned his trade as a free kick specialist. After some impressive performances, Sala returned to Marine Coast in Season 13
[ 76 ] Rueben Laberge [ - Iskara Daii (STR) - ]
------- M C ( AGE: 22 GOALS::SR: 1 U21: 0 REG: 0 )
Thrusted into the limelight from obscurity, the Daii have hid this kid's talents well. Will form an all-Vilitan central midfield with Antonis Ratuva at the Daii
[ 27 ] Jacques Vintila [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
------- AM C ( AGE: 29 GOALS::SR: 0 U21: 1 REG: 0 )
Once tipped to change the face of Vilitan Sport, the Cednia, Turori born player made his move to the Stellar Division when signing for Jlinal Cove FC. Vintilla impressed at the Cove despite their relegation in his first season, but has cooled off recently. Vintila is the rarity at Jlinal Cove, the only Attacking Midfielder on record at Jurgen Ramzi's defensive-minded work house, but his attacking prowess has yet been able to see Jlinal Cove back to the Stellar Division
[ 23 ] Tanner Nerni [ - Eastal Lunar - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 30 GOALS::SR: 5 U21: 6 REG: 3 )
The Impressive Wing Midifleder, born & raised in Turori by Vilitan parents, saw his first international action in the Atlantian Oceania Cup of Association Football. Nerni's performances at a young age in the AOCAF Cup and for Cednia Beach AFC in Turori earned him what was a then-record transfer to high-flying Yeaddin Owls AFC, a fee still only twice eclipsed, both in Vilitan Season 10. Nerni, however, seemed to have never made the impact on the National Stage, as is the case with many of the Owls stars, who seem to save their best performances for the league and never walk too far from the bench when the Teal, Orange and Navy are in action. That is, until the World Cup 20 final. It was Nerni's penetrating runs down the right flank that eventually earned Vilita the World Cup for the first time, Nerni scoring the winning goal and becoming the hottest commodity in sport. Eventually, Eastal Lunar tendered an offer no club could refuse, and Nerni was off to his new club for an all-time record Vilitan transfer.
[ 93 ] Sublé Tonic [ - FC Almintora (TUR) - ]
------- M RLC ( AGE: 29 GOALS::SR: 3 U21: 1 REG: 2 )
Called up to the Vilitan National team for international experience and bench cover during the AOCAF I Finals.
[ 57 ] Teariki Mané [ - Eastal Lunar - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 29 GOALS::SR: 0 U21: 2 REG: 3 )
Teariki made his first transfer from Makosile after leading the team to an impressive start in Season 12, earning himselfa move to Eastal Lunar.
[ 55 ] Sylvain Emeka-Tuai [ - Strike FC - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 23 GOALS::SR: 2 U21: 4 REG: 0 )
Sylvain was a transfer target of Santo Kecker at Strike FC, and was acquired following Terraroka Spirit's relegation to the Declasse division.
[ 52 ] Thierry Columbo [ - Makosile - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 22 GOALS::SR: 2 U21: 2 REG: 0 )
Columbo left Lonngeylin Coast in search of first team action with Declasse side Mavaloiao FC. Columbo was an instant hit at the club, and helped lead them to the Declasse Division title and a place in the Stellar Division starting in Season 14.
[ 54 ] Manolis Makunike [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 23 GOALS::SR: 0 U21: 3 REG: 0 )
[ 78 ] Brent Obwinyi [ - Turoki United - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 17 GOALS::SR: U21: REG: )
[ 51 ] Rowan Majara [ - Internashionale (STR) - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 17 GOALS::SR: U21: REG: )
Majara trained at the Arcticala Inlet Youth Academy before being snapped up by Starblaydian side Internashionale when he was old enough for his first professional contract.
[ 78 ] Toby Tzikas [ - Basian Valley (STR) - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 17 GOALS::SR: U21: REG: )
Tzikas moved with his family to Starblaydia and was accepted to the Basian Valley squad on a non-contract basis after spending many successful years as a youth trainee for Arcticala Inlet of Vilita
[ 59 ] Manolis Ipoua [ - Strike FC - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 27 GOALS::SR: 0 U21: 2 REG: 0 )
Joined a re-vitalized Jlinal Cove in Vilitan season 9 after two moderate seasons at Marine Coast United, However made a quick transfer to Turoki Isle after Jlinal's relegation in Season 9.
[ 79 ] Contall Rumaoa [ - Tournetas (STR) - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 18 GOALS::SR: U21: REG: )
FORWARDS:
[ 16 ] Callum Banda [ - Marine Coast United - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 36 GOALS::SR: 64 U21: 6 REG: 1 )
Sensational Striker averaging over a goal per game in the U21's remarkable Runner-Up performances in U21 WC3. First Appeared for the National team in World Cup 13 and scored the Jungle Cats first ever goal in Inter-NationStatal Competition in the 2-1 over Compound Interest. Banda set a Vilitan record by scoring 10 times during World Cup 19 Qualifying, includding his 50th career goal, both in all international competitions, and his 50th Senior-National tally with the equalizer against Tadjikistan. Banda capped off a sensational season by winning his first Vilitan Most Valuable Player award. Banda netted his 196th career Domestic goal for Marine Coast United as he helped return his long-time club to the top of the Stellar Division in Season 15.
[ 19 ] Riccardo Appolloni [ - Inland Peaks FC - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 26 GOALS::SR: 7 U21: 13 REG: 0 )
Riccardo Appolloni came through the youth ranks at Mavaloio before transferring to Yeaddin Owls AFC and quickly displacing Jan Christiansen from his role as first choice striker. Appolloni also one-upped Christiansen by earning a regular role in the Vilitan National team, something Christiansen was never able to do. The third largest transfer in Vilitan History at the time saw Appolloni depart his beloved Owls for up-and-coming Inland Peaks FC. The Peaks used the transfer income from the sale of Ade Hinds, Martin Watt, Aman Dedur and mostly Under-21 forward Kris Wrice to sign the Vilitan International, signalling their intentions to be respected as a top class team in Vilita for seasons to come.
[ 17 ] Mauro Baraza [ - Eastal Lunar - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 28 GOALS::SR: 4 U21: 10 REG: 9 )
Mauro Baraza looked to be a player of the future for Vilita after setting records for goalscoring in the Under-21's. However, he could never break through and displace Callum Banda or Serge DuPont and has slipped down the picking order.
[ 12 ] Serge DuPont [ - Strike FC - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 33 GOALS::SR: 32 U21: 8 REG: 17 )
Youthful Prospect Striker signing for Strike FC prior to VL Season Two. Made International Senior Debut in World Cup XV Qualfiying against the East Asian Empire and has been favored on the senior bench over veteren Lorenzo Mumamba. Has scored at the inter
[ 49 ] Tika Massa [ - Makosile - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 17 GOALS::SR: 1 U21: 3 REG: 0 )
Tika Massa was thrust into the Vilitan Spotlight after netting on his debut performance in the Jurassic Invitational Tournament after coming on as a sub. Massa's late goal sent Vilita into the Semi Finals of the inagural Jurassic competition. Massa's performances earned him a transfer to the admitedly more high profile club of Eastal Lunar, from Makosile where he trained as a youth. Massa was an instant hit at Eastal lunar netting 7 times in 18 games and helping them to the Season 15 Vilitan Cup title.
[ 18 ] Carmine Mbidzo [ - Iskara Daii (STR) - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 29 GOALS::SR: 12 U21: 17 REG: 11 )
Former Understudy to the inseperable strike partnership of Callum Banda and Jim Vella at Marine Coast United. Transferred to Cednia Beach after Requesting First-Team Football.
[ 46 ] Julian Lisbie [ - Arcticala Inlet - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 20 GOALS::SR: U21: REG: )
[ 41 ] Kris Wrice [ - Inland Peaks FC - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 17 GOALS::SR: 0 U21: 1 REG: 0 )
Wrice made 10 appearances for Inland Peaks in Season 15, and his 5 goals helped propel the team to the top 5 in the table at the halfway point. The young striker's potential did not go unnoticed, and Turoki Isle opened up their pockets to make an offer the smaller Inlands club could not refuse, bringing the Under-21 International to Turoki Isle.
[ 47 ] Ippolit Adjei [ - Marine Coast United - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 23 GOALS::SR: 0 U21: 5 REG: 1 )
Adjei moved to Arcticala Inlet during the Yeaddin Exodus following Season 12, the first in history that Yeaddin were not in the top 2. Adjei won many awards with Arcticala Inlet, but never the Stellar Division title, and he was recruited in Season 16 to the defending Stellar Division champions Marine Coast United for a fee half that of the Vilitan Record transfer at the time.
[ 48 ] Tristam Bumbar [ - Yutzie Sorma - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 17 GOALS::SR: U21: REG: )
Tristam Bumbar added his name to a very short list of recognized internationals from the Yutzie Sorma acadamy by being called up to the Vilitan Under-21's for The 14th Under 21 Championships.

Praying2God Warriors Roster
Head Coach: Paul Johnson
He is the only Head Coach the Warriors have had since returning to WC competition. This is now his 3rd WC as Head Coach, and he has a career record of 11-9-6 (wins-losses-ties). Expectations are high for this WC, as the Warriors have come very close to qualifying in each of the last two WCs.
Assistant Coach: John Ball
Goalie Coach: Mark Williams
Trainer: Mary Ann Glover
All of the assistant trainers know their roles, and are outstanding in them. In particular, Goalie Coach Mark Williams is becoming renowned throughout the world as one of the best in the business at what he does. Trainer Mary Ann Glover always seems to have the Warriors peaking at just the right time physically.
G: Sarah Walker (age 22)*
Sarah is developing into one of the best goalies in the world. If the Warriors can get her a lead, the other team is in big trouble, as she finds a way to take her game up a notch when she's protecting a lead. She has also gone down in Warriors soccer lore for scoring the match-winning goal against Giant Zucchini in WC XXI. It is rumored that she is seeing Thomas Larson, but neither of them has confirmed or denied that rumor.
G: Laurel Thompson (22)
Laurel has the misfortune of being stuck behind Sarah. Laurel had only played in one half of a match in the two WCs she's been on the roster. That half was a forgettable one, as she yielded two goals to Seton Rebel, and almost cost the Warriors a victory. This might be her last time on the Warriors' WC roster, as there are promising candidates to take her place beyond this WC.
D: Christine Holly (22)*
Christine came into her own during WC XXI, and has developed into the leader of the Warriors' defense. She even had a goal and an assist during WC XXI. However, she's more known for her defensive abilities. Sarah Walker is her best friend, but she won't say anything about the Sarah-Thomas Larson rumors either.
D: Claire Paulson (22)*
A very solid defender. She is also an outstanding passer, having garnered three assists in her two WCs. She is the emotional leader on defense.
D: Luke Royal (22)*
D: Jenna Sullivan (22)*
It is no secret that Luke and Jenna are in a serious romantic relationship, and are rumored to be on the verge of engagement. They also work together great on the soccer field. They have a chemistry between them that helps make the Warriors defense so difficult to penetrate.
D: Ellen Davis (23)
D: Loren Peterson (23)
D: Jessica Hollins (20)
It is also no secret that Ellen and Loren are engaged, and planning on getting married soon. All three of them are solid defenders. Jessica is rapidly becoming a very good defender, but with the talent amongst the starters, it is hard to see any of these three cracking the starting line-up, unless forced into the line-up by injury or cards.
M: Kevin Faith (22)*
Kevin is one of the best midfielders in the business. He is the third leading scorer for the Warriors, with seven points in the last two WCs, with five of those coming on assists. His ability to hold onto the ball is something that has left even the best opposition that he has faced shaking their heads in amazement. He is in a serious romantic relationship with midfield partner Christa Nelson, which appears to be headed towards engagement in the not too distant future.
M: Ashley Gore (21)*
Ashley is the fourth leading scorer for the Warriors over the last two WCs, compiling six points, with four of them coming on assists. She also has the distinction of being the first Warrior other than Thomas Larson to score a match-winning goal, when she scored in the 89th minute against Turori to give the Warriors a 2-1 upset. She is a solid defensive player too.
M: Christa Nelson (20)*
Christa shares fifth place on the Warriors' leading scorers list with Amanda Tracy, having scored five points in the last two cups (two goals, three assists). Her relationship with Kevin Faith is well-documented in the Praying2God tabloids. Her defensive abilities make her the best defensive midfielder in the starting line-up.
M: Jessica Stevenson (21)
M: Michael Star (21)
M: Gwen Wall (22)
A solid collection of reserves. They are all excellent defensive midfielders, but with the offensive talent and chemistry amongst the starters, they are left to sit on the sidelines. Jessica and Gwen are also close friends of Thomas Larson and Sarah Walker, but so far, they have also declined to comment on the rumors about them.
F: Thomas Larson (22) Captain*
Arguably one of the greatest scorers in the game today, and by far the most well-known Warriors player. He has the ability to score anytime he touches the ball, no matter where he is on the field. He has now officially been named team captain, after the team played without a captain in the last two WCs. Hands down, the Warriors' leading scorer, having poured in 22 points (14 goals, 8 assists) in the last two WCs, almost twice as many as the next player. Defenses have already started to focus on trying to shut him down, but with all the offensive talent between the forwards and mids, it is hard to double him at all times. He is rumoredly in a relationship with Sarah Walker, but nobody has been able to confirm that rumor, and they refuse to confirm or deny the rumor.
F: Kelly Carter (21)*
The second leading scorer for the Warriors, having scored 12 points (8 goals, 4 assists) in the last two WCs. She is a threat anytime she touches the ball. However, her accomplishments have been overshadowed by Thomas'. She seems to be interested in him, but then again, which of the single ladies on the team isn't?
F: Amanda Tracy (21)*
Probably the weakest link amongst the Warriors front six. She is only tied for fifth on the Warriors' leading scorers list with five points (4 goals, 1 assist) in the last two WCs. If she doesn't have a good WC, she might lose her spot in the starting line-up to Sarah King.
F: Sarah King (22)
F: Alissa Madison (21)
F: Kendall Hall (22)
A solid group of back-ups. Sarah would be starting for most teams, and she might be for the Warriors before too long, as Amanda can't seem to score regularly. Kendall might lose his roster spot after this WC, because there is a lot of talent behind him. Overall, all three of them can score when called upon to make a very rare appearance.

Starblaydi Squad for World Cup 22
Who knows waht awaits our valient players?
The Staff
Lord Rikaard Van Honjiik, Minister for Sport and Double-Posts - Manager
His first ever attempt at management of a team, at club or international level. Perhaps here more for his sheer presence and authority than his tactical ability, Lord Van Honjiik is a shot in the dark for Starblaydia.
Nikola "Laser" Lazerevski, Coach, 56
39 Caps, 15 Goals (0 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 Level)
The first Starblaydi goal-scoring legend, his tally of 15 goals is still the benchmark by which all Starblaydi strikers are measured.
The Goalkeepers
1. Thaddeus Gonzalez, GK, 28 - Jhanna City
3 Caps 0 Goals (15 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 Level)
After two substitution appearances in World Cup 20 Qualifiers, it is disputed as to whether Thaddeus is really the best 'keeper in Starblaydia. His best so far is a 3rd-Place at Under-21 World Cup 11.
12. Gavin Thornley, GK, 38 - Jinal Cove FC (Vilitan Declasse)
19 Caps, 0 Goals (5 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 Level)
Even with an AOCAF4 Winners' Medal under his belt, Gavin has never quite made it to the number-one jersey for his country, and many point to his determination to stay in Vilita as the result.
19. Corominas, GK, 19 - Riandu Anum (Rejistanian 1st Division)
Uncapped (8 Caps, 2 Goals at Under-21 Level)
With a Winners' Medal from the Liverpool England-hosted Four Nations Invitational as well as Bronze, Silver and Gold Medals from the Under-21 World Championships, 'crazy' Corominas and his free-kick abilities may come to the fore during this Cup.
The Defenders
2. Garth Terrenson, C/RB, 23 - Hallad Reavers
5 Caps, 1 Goal (16 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 Level)
A substitute during the Four Nations Invitational, Garth is promoted to the 'full' Starting XIdue to a shortage of quality, experienced Right-Backs. Had a relatively poor Liga Starblaydia Season 2 with the Reavers, but is considered good enough for the National Side. Another Four Nations Invitational Winner.
3. Khim Azanulbizarn, Captain, LB, 34 - Alan City (The Belmore Family)
45 Caps, 5 Goals (10 Caps, 4 Goals at Under-21 Level)
The first ever Dwarven Captain of Starblaydia, Khim's experience in three previous cups will be invaluable. The second great Left-Back to Captain Starblaydia, perhaps better, even, than the great Ryan Garry?
5. Valentino Caltabiano, R/L/CB, 27 - Tabeck FC
6 Caps, 1 Goal (13 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 Level)
Often overlooked due to being a utility defender, it was Tabeck's Cup-Winning and 2nd-Place in Liga Starblaydia Season 2 that has earned him a starting position. Plays at left-back for his club, but is good enough to play anywhere with strength, skill and determination.
6. Martin Watt, SW/D/CM, 27 - Eastal Lunar (Vilitan Stellar)
10 Caps, 0 Goals (11 Caps, 1 Goal at Under-21 Level)
Another player who suffers from not having a set position, Watt's performances with Inland Peaks have guaranteed him a astarting spot for his country.
13. Dimitrios Steliopolous, LB, 23 - Veles
12 Caps, 0 Goals (15 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 Level)
Liga Starblaydia Season 1's Defender of the Year, Dimitri is still a one-man team at Veles, and suffering for it. Only the great Azanulbizarn is keeping him from the Number-3 shirt that he really deserves.
14. Ezra Nimz, CB, 26 - Phraen Palace
13 Caps, 0 Goals (14 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 Level)
Anyone who's lifted an international competition medal seems to be winning a place in the Starblaydi squad these days, and Ezra is one of them. Even if it is a Phraen Palace player and a Four Nations Invitational medal.
20. Nunzio Gre, CB, 20 - Inkatil Seli-Veran (Rejistanian 2nd Division)
Uncapped (16 Caps, 1 Goal at Under-21 Level)
Captain of the Championship-winning Under-21 side, Gre is certainly going to remain leader for the 15th Championships. Has the potential to be a very good centre back and perhaps Starblaydi Captain one day.
The Midfielders
4. Gbenga D.J. Ogunniya, A/C/DM, 24 - Eastal Lunar (Vilitan Stellar)
10 Caps, 4 Goals (23 Caps, 5 Goals at Under-21 Level)
The record cap-holder for the Under-21s was first spotted by Simeone Di Bradini and taken to Vilita where he earned his crust as a utility midfielder. Great at driving his team both forward and back, he is the solid playmaking core around any good team. Vilitan Stellar Division's Foreign Midfielder of the Year for Season 14, as well as a defending AOCAF Champion.
7. Nick Matranga, L/RM, 31 - Montepool Waves
32 Caps, 10 Goals (10 Caps, 4 Goals at Under-21 Level)
The Matranga genes are still flowing strongly with this one as he comes back for his Fourth World Cup. Liga Starblaydia's Player of the Year in Season 1, this versatile winger is in the exact same mould and even the same shirt number as his illustrious father, Aiden.
11. Thanh Madray, LM, 29 - Iskara Daii
24 Caps, 3 Goals (8 Caps, 2 Goals at Under-21 Level)
Surprisingly one of only two Iskara Daii players in the squad, Thanh's inclusion at the cosmopolitan Daii side shows off his real skill as an industrious left-sided midfielder.
15. Stelios Doukas, CM, 33 - Eastal Lunar (Vilitan Stellar)
18 Caps, 3 Goals (4 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 Level)
Stelios is a much-travelled midfielder and notable for being one of the few Starblaydis to have both AOCAF4 and AOCAF7 Winners' Medals in his collection. Always good in times of crisis, Stelios has been rewarded for his AOCAF and other efforts with a place in the World Cup team.
16. Keiran Rabalais, DM, 27 - Hallad Reavers
5 Caps, 0 Goals (14 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 Level)
Best-known for inconspicuous displays sitting in front of central defence, Keiran's much-needed though unheralded skills are good to have in any tme of crisis when the battle in the middle of the park is being lost.
17. Tyree Vang, RW/M, 23 - Internashionale
13 Caps, 3 Goals (16 Caps, 3 Goals at Under-21 Level)
Whether tied down to the right side of midfield or given a wide or even free role up front, Vang's pace and ability are never in question. These abilities gave him a Four Nations Invitational Winners' medal.
21. Alejo Cuevo, C/DM, 20 - Hersch Albion
Uncapped (10 Caps, 0 Goals at Under-21 Level)
A Champion at Under-21 Level, Alejo is another young player who could turn into the next Ki-Jana Carter or Jerome Montefalcon and be the rock around which a Starblaydi midfield is based.
22. Surachai Buathiang, L/CM, 19 - Eastal Lunar (Vilitan Stellar)
3 Caps, 1 Goal (11 Caps, 5 Goals at Under-21 Level)
This Wunderkind, discovered in Vilita, is an all-round excellent midfielder with drive, determination and a fair bit of skill. Starblayda's youngest-capped player at the age of just fifteen in the Four Nations Invitational as well as an Under-21 Champion.
The Fowards
8. Syku Lyku-Agbayani, AM/SC, 27 - Arcticala Inlet (Vilitan Stellar)
23 Caps, 13 Goals (11 Caps, 4 Goals at Under-21 Level)
Sweeping the board at the Vilitan Stellar Division's Awards in his first season (13), Syku was ther first non-Vilitan Player of the Year, as well as Foreign Player of the Year, Golden Boot (19 goals), Forward of the Year and Foreign Forward of the Year. Season 14 saw him as the second top-Scorer with 13 Goals. What can be said about this half-Rejistanian man that has not been said already? He's now in his preferred position as a withdrawn Striker-Midfielder, playing in 'the hole' that won him such acclaim in previous years.
9. Zhorin Tumunzahar, SC, 24 - Lonngeylin City (Vilitan Stellar)
14 Caps, 5 Goals (18 Caps, 18 Goals at Under-21 Level)
Liga Starblaydia's Young Player of the Year and 24-goal runner-up in the Golden Boot race for Season 1 with an unheard-of Widdrington Wolves team, Dwarven stirker Zhorin earned a big-money move to Vilita. Power, strength and determination are his qualities, though not as a target-man for Route-One football, obviously.
10. Darius Belizaire, SC, 28 - Iskara Daii
26 Caps, 13 Goals (16 Caps, 15 Goals at Under-21 Level
Golden Boot Winner for Season 1 with 26 goals at the Daii, Darius is in the peak of his football. A fantastic all-round striker, his on-field partnership with Vilita's Carmine Mdbizo has only increased his abilities. If you want comparisons, try 'a poor man's Simeone Di Bradini'.
18. Isiah Sodek, SC, 24 - Tabeck FC
5 Caps, 0 Goals (17 Caps, 5 Goals at Under-21 Level)
Never really sparkling until Liga Starblaydia Season 2, Sodek was thought to be AOCAF squad-bound before he lifted the Tiberius Cup.
23. Marco Del Blanco, AM/CF, 33 - Tuncastle Rovers
29 Caps, 12 Goals (15 Caps, 12 Goals at Under-21 Level)
The veteran striker of this squad has been outpaced in his goal tally by players seven years his junior. This is perhaps his last chance to surpass the great Lazerevski, as at 33 he's unlikey to play in another tournament for Starblaydia.
The Kit
Home: Starblaydia play in a traditional all-white with some purple trim.
Away: Starblaydia play in a traditional all-purple with some white trim.
3rd Strip: In case anyone else decides to play in white-and-purple, Starblaydia will play in yellow shirts with black shorts and socks.

Raptor Claw
05-04-2005, 01:20
The Raptor Claw Goalkeeper, Gonnast Opyou, from Tonka City in Giant Zucchini, has been National team keeper for many seasons now, improving at every attempt. The Raptor Claw Defense is led by Imapla Yindabak, also from the South Island Clan The towering central defender is a menace to all that approach. Partnering this Raptor in Central defense is Iwilltac Kleyou, from the rejuvinated Central Island Clan. This Raptor is the first to make the National team from the Central Island Clan since the horrific dismembering of the clan prior to World Cup 14. Playing as Wing backs will be Makapla Yupdaline and Overla Pinrun, both from the East Island Clan and regulars in the Raptors Lineup. The Raptor Claw midfield is led by Captain Imdalea Der, the experienced Raptor from the North Island Clan is an important fixture in the Raptors lineup every time they step out onto the pitch. Partnering Der in the Center of Midfield is Contro Lindaplae, also of the North Island Clan. On the left wing is the pacey Runni Nondaside from the West Island Clan and on the right wing, one of the most prolific Raptor goalscorers, Maki Narun from the South Island Clan. The Raptor Claw strike force is the frequently troublesome duo of Imat Arget and Runni Naroun. both from the East Island Clan

Coach Dave Wilson announced the World Cup roster and the identity of his two assistant coaches, Barry Owens and David Bostwick.
Dave Wilson: 57 years old, head coach in his fifth World Cup qualifying campaign. Served as assistant coach to the late Bryan Marshall in World Cup qualifying campaigns XVI and XVII.
Barry Owens: 40 years old, assistant coach in his fifth World Cup qualifying campaign. Played in the first two. (NOTE: Named manager of Legalese national squad. Kept here for Legalese's reference.)
Chris Trautwig: 49 years old, assistant coach for his first World Cup qualifying campaign. Has served in administrative capacity for the Incorporated Football Federation and has served as interim head coach for the Woodstock Wild in the past. Considered the heir apparent to Wilson with Owens' departure.
Bryson Juergens: 45 years old, head coach for the Sarzonian second choice national team during two AOCAF tournaments. Led the team to the finals of AOCAF V in his first campaign, then lost in the quarterfinals in AOCAF VI.
ROSTER (starters in bold)
GOALKEEPERS
35 Horace Sandt (Woodstock Wild): Backstopped the Wild to the first-ever AO Champions League title and appeared in the Under 21 national team finals. At 26 years old, he is coming off leading the Stars to their first-ever World Cup finals victories.
39 Harvey Cooley (Saugerties Snakes): He also backstopped the Under 21 nationals and won a third place title in his first stop entrenched as the starter. At 23 years old, he should be part of the team for years to come.
DEFENDERS
2 Mike Coyle (Woodstock): Left back in the Wild's 3-5-2 alignment. Speedy defender who has added veteran savvy to his athleticism. Now 28, getting better with experience.
32 Emacio (Hallad Reavers - Starblaydia): Known as a tremendous offensive defender, has played a key role for the Reavers. (28 years old)
35 Lance Alcina (Hallad): Plays right back for the Reavers, but is playing right fullback for the Stars. This 25 year old is a teammate of Emacio's so the two are familiar with each other.
3 Trevor Crenshaw (Woodstock Wild): The right fullback for the four time champion Wild adds much defensive depth and experience to the team. At 30 year old he has finally earned a starting job.
12 Taylor Williams (Rochester): Plays right halfback for the Rage but can also play midfield. Not much pure speed, but tremendous quickness and great smarts. The 35 year old has announced that this will be his last Cup.
MIDFIELDERS
9 Darwin Russell: (Parkville F.C. - NEWI Cefn Druids): Team captain. Tremendous left-side player with a deadly accurate free kick from that side. Can be roughed up and taken out of his game, but has gotten much stronger physically. At 30 years old, has become a star on the national side.
4 Henrik Bastale (Turoki Isle - Vilita): Has starred for Turoki Isle since his transfer from the Portland Timbers, being named Foreign Player of the Year in the Vilitan league. He has a lot of pure speed and ball control, but needs to learn to pace himself for 90 minutes. Just turned 21.
10 Bobby Convey (Woodstock): Easily the best playmaker in all of Sarzonia. Very experienced. At 28, one of the venerable Stars.
16 John Benmont (Portsmouth): Rugged right sided midfielder who has the skill of Convey or Russell and the toughness of former national teamer Conley. Adds a little more speed than former midfielder and current assistant coach Barry Owens had. 32 years old.
33 Bronson Adelsen (Rochester): New addition to the national team, this 33 year old adds a rugged defensive presence to the team.
37 "Dix" Porter (Portland): Just signed with the Timbers, is the heir apparent for the role as offensive playmaker. Spent a lot of time with Bobby Convey's dad to work on his skills. At 29 years old, may be playing for a spot on the starting 11.
FORWARDS
22 Brian Wilson (Wzkknfs Hnyd Pinks, Melmond): At 26, has earned experience playing abroad in one of the world's largest media fishbowls. His father is the national team's top assistant coach, so he often thinks like a coach on the pitch. Former national team captain.
31 Barry Alphonso (Likh'gokh K'druz'ba - Cockbill Street): Can play either withdrawn forward or striker for his club team. Led the league with 22 goals last season and has led the league in goals scored two straight years. Set records for most goals in Joe Gibbs University's history as a four year starter. 31 years old.
32 Bruce Badger (Randolph): Badger scored a career low eight goals, but has become known for his veteran leadership from the player's bench. Is an avid supporter of "Sarzonian football," with an emphasis on possession and aggressive attack. Just turned 32.
19 Kenny Cooper (Tacoma): Now 25, he is the all-time leading goal scorer for the U21 national team. He still hasn't cracked the starting 11 yet.

Fmjphoenix Vikings
Starters listed in green.
Rookies listed in blue.
After the months of deliberating, the FAF has decided upon their coach for the Vikings, Gisterfred Q. Disterfred. His expierence in coaching the Turori team in WC 17 and 18 are seen as a good way to help improve the young team. After a month of minor drills and interviewing, Disterfred, who has been nicknamed GQ by some of the players has finalized the squad for the Vikings qualification run in World Cup XXII. "GQ" has choosen to run the Vikings in a 4-3-3 formation for the beginning, but might switch to a more aggresive type as the qualifiers move on. The only thing that has not been decided on is who will be the fourth starting forward between Shelly Berry and Dave Daniels. It is expected to be a hot topic for the next few weeks until it is decided.
Coaches:
Head Coach: Gisterfred Q. Disterfred, 42 Years Old (Turori) - First non-Fmjphoenix native to become coach of the Vikings. Has good coaching expierence and will be a great addition to Fmjphoenix.
Assistant Coach: Mariano Rodriquez, 36 Years Old (Vanguard Eagles) - Ex-Star of the Vanguard Eagles and Vikings, now learning the ropes of coaching, brings charisma and enthusiasim.
Fitness Coach: Gary Accrew, 55 Years Old (Liverpool England) - Came to Fmjphoenix and has helped keep the team in great physical shape and broken lots of bad habits by the rising stars.
Scouting Coach: Brian Pulmore, 47 Years Old (Liverpool England) - Has scoured all over Fmjphoenix and other nations in the region to find players with talents, and helps bring out some of their talents.
Goalkeepers:
#4 - Powell Lamar - 27 Yrs Old (Ariot Lupes) - Has been the teams goalkeeper since coming in for Adam Larouse in World Cup XIX
#9 - Adam Larouse - 33 Yrs Old (Vralt Icons) - Was the original goalkeeper, had a FFL record of only allowing 5 goals in one season. Has become a mentor for the young team.
#18 - Brian Boyd - 29 Yrs Old(Ariot Lupes) - Lamar's backup since they were on the Lupes in the FFL. Has great focus and determination in place of raw talent.
Defenders:
#6 - Naulio Xavior- 25 Yrs Old (Pompi Knaves) - Converted from midfielder to play defense on the Knaves, is capable of keeping up withthe fastest of players.
#17 - Tra Miranda - 26 Yrs Old (Vralt Icons) - Great ability, but his emotions ride into his short temper and has stunted player growth, but he still shows flashes of maturing.
#14 - Bobby Bash - 24 Yrs Old (Phonecia Heat) - Best slide defender to come from Fmjphoenix. Has unbelievable timing when going after the ball to set it loose.
#8 - Aaron Chapman - 27 Yrs Old (Phonecia Heat) - Played defense due to ability to read the strikers body to find where they are going. Not always right, but still provides a good challenge to the best of them.
#10 - Ryan Fremont - 22 Yrs Old (Vanguard Eagles) - Was considered to be a top defender prospect on the Eagles is still maturing and learning how to play at a higher level.
#0 - Wei Zeng - 26 Yrs Old (Waterloo Indians) - Consistant and fast. Provides challenges everytime, very rarely gets fooled.
Midfielders:
#7 - Devin McBall - 25 Yrs Old (Spraat FC) - Built like a lacrosse defender, but still has the speed to keep up with smaller players. Still working on footwork.
#10 - Paulie Onelie - 22 Yrs Old (Draal Vegans) - More of an offensive player, likes to kick the ball as high as possible. Passes more than anything else.
#11 - Jason Mitchell - 24 Yrs Old (Ariot Lupes) - Multi-tool midfielder. Accurate kicks to score, fast moves to challenge forwards. Doesn't excel at either, but can do both well.
#16 - Quinten Bell - 25 Yrs Old (Pompi Knaves) - Fastest player on the team. Loves running the length of the pitch to score or stop.
#5 - Larry Brown - 21 Yrs Old (Alabaster Lions) - Made switch from being forward to midfielder. Better suited as a midfielder to make more plays all over the pitch.
Forwards:
#1 - Jorge Mendel - 29 Yrs Old (Spraat FC) - Named team captian for fifth straight cup. Top goal scorer in Fmjphoenix history. His leadership keeps the team together and is always in a good mood.
#3 - Mike Nolan - 22 Yrs Old (Waterloo Indians) - Expected to become the next big thing in Fmjphoenix. Scored a rookie record in the FFL with 38 goals in his first year. Top goal scorer in Fmjphoenix.
#13 - Alex Rivera - 31 Yrs Old (Alabaster Lions) - Even though only 31, his best years were in his early 20s. Still more than adequite backup in any situation.
#9 - Dave Daniels - 21 Yrs Old (Chacor) Prodigy that is part Chacor and Fmjphoenix. Helped lead the Junior Vikings to their first championship in Under 21 World Cup 13
#2 - Shelly Berry - 19 Yrs Old (Waterloo Indians) - Girlfriend of Mike Nolan. Has learned fast from what Mike has taught her and quickly became a top prospect throughout Fmjphoenix. Is expected to be a top scorer in the future.
#15 - Tuggle Flores - 24 Yrs Old (Vanguard Eagles) - Solid secondary option. Able to perfrom when needed to.
Retired from football: Esteban Zeus, Carlos Santos
Players not returning: Brenden Kapono, Fred Robust, Va Qui

The Football Association of Bettia (FAB) has announced the squad for the forthcoming World Cup.
Colours:
Home Kit:
Yellow & Green Quarters, Yellow Shorts, Green Socks.
Change Kit:
Blue & White Quarters, White Shorts, Blue Socks.
Manager:
Ian 'Blackbeard' Atkins - age 47.
Has managed Bettia's national team since the nation's inception. Acquired his nickname after losing an eye in a bizarre training ground incident 25 years ago. Prefers to utilise a more attack-minded 4-4-2 formation, he has on occasions used the rarely seen 4-2-4 against what he regards as weaker opposition.
Squad:
Goalkeepers:
1. Amir Bettison (captain) - Gabalfa Rovers, age 32, 41 caps.
One of the few to have played for the team since the nation's formation. Considered by many pundits to be something of a talisman.
2. Ricardo DiTorino - Endunn Town, age 19, 5 caps.
A bright prospect renowned for his cat-like agility, DiTorino has made a name for himself since making his team debut at the age of 15.
3. Robert Sole - Lorshill United, age 22, 0 caps.
An ever-present in Lorshill's cup winning team of 2001 but has yet to make his international debut. His 6'4" frame allows him to easily deal with high crosses and set pieces.
Defence:
4. Michael Ryder - Gabalfa City, age 27, 23 caps.
A tough tackler, Ryder has played for the national team since the beginning, but has recently been hampered by a recurring knee injury.
5. Musa Williams - Gabalfa Rovers, age 27, 22 caps.
Has made the left-back position his own since deputising for the injured Michael Ryder. Captain of the 2004 champions and current league leaders Gabalfa Rovers.
6. Wasim Morgan - Ceffinton Town, age 23, 16 caps.
A versatile utility man who can play on the right or left of defence.
7. Geraint Carew - AFC Rendrew, age 26, 27 caps.
A speedy right-sided defender noted for his ability to set up swift counter-attacks. Can also play on the right wing.
8. Said Ismail - Butetown Dragons, age 31, 35 caps.
Vastly experienced defender who has recently returned to his hometown club after plying his trade abroad.
9. Marty Rahl - AFC Rendrew, age 28, 13 caps.
A tenacious player with undoubted defensive capabilities, but whose temperament has occasionally been called into question.
10. Jonathon McKinnon - Ceffinton Town, age 20, 4 caps.
Former captain of the Bettia Under-21 squad, his performances earned him his first call-up to the senior squad just in time for this tournament. A bright prospect for the future.
11. Amir Bin Da'ud - Gabalfa Rovers, age 28, 21 caps.
A solid, dependable defender famed for his long throw-ins. His speed however sometimes lets him down.
12. Gareth Coates - Grappenhall United, age 25, 16 caps, 1 goal.
A towering physical presence in the centre of defence, his height comes in handy in attacking set-pieces as well as defensive.
Midfield:
13. John Connick - Aust Rangers, age 29, 28 caps.
Has come into his own as the playmaker of the team, his natural position is deep in central midfield from which he sets up his forwards.
14. Roman Pullman - Roath Albion, age 28, 13 caps.
An unspectacular but solid, influential figure in the centre of midfield. Probably would have won more caps than he already has if it wasn't for his infamous bust-up with the manager at his former club resulting in a one-year suspension.
15. Aaron Brown - Whitchurch United, age 22, 18 caps, 1 goal.
A quick little player who has proven to be adept at floating in long crosses from the right-hand side.
16. Jason Abdullah - Butetown Dragons, age 19, 8 caps.
Very pacy young left-sided midfielder known for his hot-headed disposition.
17. Omar Whistler - Maindy Wanderers, age 24, 18 caps, 10 goals.
A stylish midfielder known for his efficient style and deft touches. He is also proving to be a cool-headed penalty-taker, something which the Bettian national team has been sorely lacking.
18. Evan Brooks - Gabalfa Rovers, age 27, 35 caps, 13 goals.
The 'Golden Boy' of Bettian football, Brooks is well-known for his prowess from set-pieces and stinging long-range shots.
19. Ieaun Swain - Grappenhall United, age 22, 4 caps, 1 goal.
Self-styled 'country boy' who has recently emerged into the Bettian top flight after leaving his local Fourth Division team.
Forwards:
20. Stuart Abdul-Rahim - Gabalfa Rovers, age 33, 40 caps, 32 goals.
Bettia's long-time target-man and record goalscorer (but only just). An unrivalled poacher in the Bettian First Division.
21. Chris Hutton - Whitchurch United, age 18, 6 caps, 3 goals.
A precocious young talent who has burst onto the domestic scene. Famed (or feared) for his tenacious hassling of opposition defenders.
22. Bobbie Rosenstiehl - Downton, age 23, 3 caps, 2 goals.
A somewhat controversial selection for the national squad, he only qualified because his maternal grandmother was born one mile inside Bettia's borders. He soon silenced his right-wing critics by scoring a brace on his debut in last month's friendly against Unklestan.
23. John Harding - Endunn Town, age 28, 19 caps, 13 goals.
A lanky centre-forward whose early career has been hampered by injuries, but has recently seen his prospects improve after gaining promotion with Endunn. A deadly header of the ball.
24. Gethin Ward - Gabalfa Rovers, age 29, 20 caps, 13 goals.
Forms the feared strike partnership with Stuart Abdul-Rahim which has performed so well both club and country. However, he has recently experienced a dip in form which has seen him lose his first team place in the national squad.
25. Judson York - AFC Rendrew, age 25, 6 caps, 14 goals
The first black player to pull on the green-and-yellow shirt. His lightning-quick pace is virtually unmatched in the Bettian league. Is equally at home in the centre or on either side of the pitch.
First-choice lineup:
1. Bettison
7. Carew 8. Ismail 12. Coates 5. Williams 11. Bin Da'ud
18. Brooks 13. Connick 17. Whistler
20. Abdul-Rahim 21. Hutton

Yes, the roster is finally up. After weeks of deliberating who, how, and why, manager Randy Gamman has finally picked his BoF and WC22 squad. Having seen the players in action in the 1st week of Nedalia Premier League action, he has become convinced that he has made the right choice in his selection. So without further ado, here are the 22 chosen members of the Nedalia squad:
GOALKEEPERS:
1 - Derrell Lynch: Capteria GK, 27 years of age. Solid on the ground and in the air, his speciality is crosses and freekicks. Has no glaring weakness.
12 - Jim Brown: Rappor GK, 21 years of age. Started for the U21 WC 14 runner-ups Lions squad. Has earned 7 U21 caps.
21 - Task Flagrant: Carlesa GK, 30 years of age. Problematic vs. set plays, but solid in every other aspect. Level-headed and professional.
DEFENDERS:
STARTERS:
2 - Huller: Momesta CD, 28 years of age. Strong tackler, known for his volatile behavior.
3 - Cole Zenith (C): Bronkstone CD, 29 years of age. Best defender in the country, professional and intense. Does everything right.
4 - Justin Stake: Bronkstone RD, 26 years of age. Speed, agility, pace. Lacks tackling skills, makes up for it with positioning.
5 - Joshua Vastu: Honsfield LD, 27 years of age. Never backs down, speed and fitness are his strengths. Solid tackler and good with headers.
RESERVES:
Jorgem Ruff: Edensanne LD, 23 years of age. Solid all around, a little slow off the ball.
Stevenson: Brickell CD, 22 years of age. Very impressive player, is slated as the up and coming defender of the Lions.
Hans Lamm: Honsfield RD, 21 years of age. Very quick and agile, if a little soft. Has earned 7 U21 caps.
MIDFIELDERS:
STARTERS:
7 - Nene: Shoreland LM, 18 years of age. The shining star of Nedalian football, is a wonder with the ball. Breaks defenses down as if it was a stroll in the park. Phenomenal offensive talent. 7 U21 caps/7 U21 goals.
6 - Trent Hardman: Riveria DM, 21 years of age. Straight forward, no nonsense type of player. Intimidating and tough. 7 U21 caps.
11 - Kenneth: Rappor AM, 26 years of age. Great passer, great finisher. Has speed to match his power.
8 - Ali Fouad: Dorpar RM, 25 years of age. Great goalscoring threat, also dishes out a fantastic cross. Great at set pieces.
RESERVES:
Don Downing: Carlesa LM, 22 years of age. An incredible talent, would surely be starting if not for Nene. Fast, strong, and a great ballhandler. Adequate at crossing.
Jim Samuel: Woodston DM, 32 years of age. The elder stateman of the team, very poised and controlled. Great passer, good tackler.
Innit Point: Internashionale (Starblaydia) AM, 20 years of age. The first Nedalian player to make the move out of Nedalia. Incredible playmaker, sure to break into the first eleven before long. Was bought for $6,000,000. 7 U21 caps/2 goals.
Brian Gordon: Aanjar RM, 19 years of age. Consistent and solid. The best crosser on the team, great at set pieces as well. 7 U21 caps/1 goals.
FORWARDS:
STARTERS:
9 - Mattan: Porasse SC, 24 years of age. Ultimate goal poacher, finds ways to get them in seemingly out of nowhere. Very quick.
10 - Chris Yamtech Shoreland SC, 26 years of age. Great shot, great heading ability. Very strong, has decent speed.
RESERVES:
Tim James: Dorpar SC, 17 years of age. Quickest player on the team, has the ballhandling skills to match. Consistently gets by 2 or more defenders. Sensational talent. 7 U21 caps/6 goals.
Karry: Bronkstone SC, 19 years of age. The tallest player on the team, his heading ability is second to none. Has decent ability on the ground, very powerful shot. 7 U21 caps/4 goals.

Syku Hanmatu is the first ever female player in the Orange-Blue team.
Haxa I Sira is a brilliant defender whose disadvantage is only that he is deaf. An aide from the ASR have to give him light signals if the referee blows the whistle.

Shark Attack
Stadium: Pinealla International Stadium
Roster:
Carrin Oaker (GK), Torry Oaker (GK)
Carrin Oaker will be the goalkeeper of choice for Oaker in World Cup 22.
Stef Oaker (D), Gray Oaker (D), Mitel Oaker (D), Orion Oaker (D), Tabby Oaker (D), Dieter Oaker (D)
Orion Oaker is a defender who is rumored to have some kind of mythical power. Orion doesn't have much skill most of the time, but sometimes it seems the skies open up and he turns into a machine. The oaker coach is trying to learn the signs of Orions abilities to use him as the ultimate substitue in world cup 20.
Sport Oaker (M), Venus Oaker (M), Kelvin Oaker (M), Raven Oaker (M), Rollee Oaker (M), Nickel Oaker (M)
The Oaker midfield is not very well known or very important. There are two new members of the midfield here for this World Cup who have come from the Under-21 team. Rollee Oaker and Nickel Oaker probably won't play because they are pretty bad, but will be used if needed.
Flash Oaker (F), Tip Oaker (F), Misty Oaker (F), Pond Oaker (F), Float Oaker (F)
The legend of Flash Oaker extends to the far reaches of the world, and his goalscoring record is undeniable. He averages over one goal per game during his career and overshadows the rest of his Oaker teammates everytime they step on the field. Misty Oaker may play instead of Pond Oaker during this cup even though Pond was very important in the Sharks great performances in World Cup 21.

LIAMIST STATES MARMADUKES
Cast & Crew
Coach: Jamus Spring
A normally reserved man, Jamus Spring has rarely been seen by the media at his matches, let alone in public. His speech at the BoF presentation was a perfect example. Spring said "Thanks" and quickly walked off. He is noted for intolerance of bad sportsmanship while using thuggish players to intimidate opposition. Using a 4-3-3 formation, Coach Spring rarely makes substitutions. If you want a place in the Marmadukes, you had better be able to play full-on in your role for ninety minutes.
Media Contact: Illario Forster
Forster is the man who presides over each of the Marmadukes press conferences, usually the only thing preventing Hal Bell and Mi Rainford Jr from killing each other, and secretly co-ordinates the psychological gaming that the Liamist States became notorious for in the BoF. Gaian Ascendancy, who the Marmadukes share a group with, were the first targets of such attacks, each player waking up with one hand in a bowl of water and a very wet patch on their sheets. He manipulates Mi Rainford Jr’s contacts for his own use, sparking off the terrible rivalry between the Marmadukes and Chicanada Kodiaks, which, due to a mass depression from losing, has since been resolved. After causing the Marmadukes to show up late for their first game, resulting in the Marmadukes biggest ever loss, and refusing to take responsibility, Forster is an important, albeit unpopular, component of the team.
Embedded Journos (from the Liamist States Medieval Network or LSMN):
Sir Peter d'Gradburg Thy Match Reporter
The Black Knight who deliver unto thee his eyeing of all thy events that take place on thy field of international battle. Beginning as a lowly paige unto Master Ted Wehling, Gradburg has evolvethed into a fine, as the Franco-Liamists sayeth, journalistique.
James Fortesque (Esq) Thy Commentator
Noneth talk louder than he and he be thy match commentator on thy recorded play theatre (OOC: TV). Fortesque is of unnatural ability in his regard to describeth events as he seeth them and gives the duel of nations a magical swordedge.
Elizabeth Nobeel Thy Beauty
Truly thou is a grace and picture of perfection beyond even those off Wobblesword's (famous Liamist playwright) sonnets, especially #456. Born into the loftiest of all of thy bluest enblooded families, Nobeel will distract not just thy athletes, but verily, even thou womanly fans.
Ulfilas Codex Argenteus Thy Rover
A man who verily spends a great deal of time on the privy, thinking thy deepesteth of thoughts. Truly there art none who be quieter than he, yet he be a journalistique of unreal potential realised.
Verence Rex Thy Fool
Prithee...and verily...thee Rex is truly one of thee world's greatest fools. As but one half of the Comica Comica fastbreaking radio programme, Verence Rex is widely knowneth for fulfilling all the duties of World Cup-class jester.
The Marmadukes (*starting line-up)
Goalkeepers
01. Mi Rainford Jr (City de Liam)*
One half of the Bell-Rainford rivalry, Rainford is a surly, bitter and often sarcastic character. He feels he is unappreciated on a side who worships their forward line, with little regard for the fact that Rainford conceded only a handful of goals, most of which were penalties. He is the son of Commander Mi Rainford, head of the Liamist States Military Forces and his favourite film, as a result, is Team America.
02. Carl Cashmore (Marmadukes FC)
Backs
Collectively, the backline is fairly no name, rarely making press conference appearances but their strength, fitness and commitment are responsible for the Marmadukes BoF win. They are frequently relied on but rarely break in their staggered formation. They usually follow from Mi Rainford Jr’s lead.
05. Hugh Killick (CDL United)*
03. Thomas McQuary (Alexandra)*
07. Arthur Claridge (Canterbury)*
16. Michael Knight (Liamistan FC)*
15. Dane Abatiell (Sheffield)
23. Drew Vallis (Sheffield)
11. Brant Musetti (Fairbank Vice)
Midfielders
17. Jackson Eaks (Alexandra)*
A popular hit with the ladies, especially the babe reporter, and fiancee, Neva Jardin, Jackson Eaks is a young Marmaduke at just twenty-four years of age. As such, he is a sensitive young man, yet to come to terms with the fame and pressure of international soccer, crying when it seems like too much (halftime against Naglegrad, for instance). However, Eaks is a talent to watch for, especially with his deadly corner kicking skills and ability to combine with Rod Manoni and Troy Champion to create opportunities out of nothing.
09. Rod Manoni (C, Mayfair)*
The captain and midfield leader, Manoni is an uberexperienced player, leading domestic champions and Liamist Club Cup winners, Mayfair, to their double victories, thrice in four years. He is now the oldest on the team at thirty-one years of age. Known as the Master of the Boot at home, he can take any free kick from the edge of the penalty box and turn it into a goal.
12. Troy Champion (Trenportsmouth)*
A late call up last WC, Champion has since worked himself in as an integral part of the squad, even if it does mean a tactical reshuffle from 5-2-3 to 4-3-3. Champion, somewhat of a mystery, does not attend press conferences when they are held, leaving him the odd one out on the midfield. He is a quality player, and when he settles into his international role, will be quite a handful for the opposition.
30. Edward Lautscham (Fairbank Vice)
04. Marshall Ash (LS Town)
21. Kahumanu Hart (Mayfair)
Forwards
13. Armand Iziary (Canterbury)*
A flamboyant forward, Iziary first made an impression by scoring a hattrick on his, and the team’s, international debut. He is an athletic striker and very passionate about his game. He, like Christian Dressel, defers to Hal Bell when making striking decisions, although he leads Hal Bell in the all-time top scorers list.
24. Hal Bell (CDL United)*
Hal Bell is considered by fans, his team and the media alike to be the MAN. He was highest scorer last season for his side and many tipped CDL United to take the Liamist Club Cup four years ago, until they were stopped in the semis by local arch rivals, City de Liam, when Bell choked, a psychological problem he faces until this day, haunting him. He and Mi Rainford Jr have not got a good relationship. They were friends up until that semi-final when Bell met Necia Rainford and began an illicit love affair, resulting divorce and the most vile football rivalry ever seen in the Liamist States Empire.
08. Christian Dressel (Gradburg North)*
Scoring two goals in the BoF final, Dressel is somewhat of a surprise package from that tournament. After Marlin Smoots failed to shine, he was given the go ahead and scored in his first match. The quietest of the forward pack, Dressel has proven himself a decent forward and many look to him to replace Bell when he retires (may that day never come) as the forward pack leader.
19. Yoichi Kajahara (Marmadukes FC)
28. Fraser Pushkin (East Trenport)

Goalkeepers:
1. John Simpson, 19, Mackintosh Thistle Celtic.
There is only one word for Simpson: tall. At a full height of 6'8", Simpson is the tallest player the Weegies have ever put on their side, and knowing the height of most Weegies, that's tall indeed. Whilst it gives him an advantage in reaching those shots unreachable to other goalkeepers, it also leaves him with slower reflexes and a tendency to stick to the goaline thinking his height gives him the advantage. Simpson is known as a efficient, if not gifted, goalkeeper, and it's only the erraticisms of other goalkeepers that has got him to step up into the number one shirt.
12. Billy Craig, 21, Buchanan H.F.C.
The best goalkeeper the Weegies have... if he's on a good day. Fairly tall, an excellent jumper and almost suicidally brave when rushing out in a one-on-one with a goalkeeper, Craig would be the choice of any Weegie manager, except for one thing. His lack of dependability. He's an erratic goalkeeper, occassionally pulling off bizarre poor performances against minor teams and then becoming the Man of the Match in the next match. It's all extremes with Craig - either he's great, or he's terrible. It's this erratic form which leaves him the reserve.
Defenders:
2. Ronnie Gemmell, 17, Mackintosh Armadillos
A strong full-back, with a good turn of speed on him, Ronnie is well known for going forward in matches to keep a link between the back of the defensive line and the midfield. Ronnie is a skilled tackler, swiping the ball off of opponents before they know what's happening to him, and keeps a high rate of performance throughout the game due to his high stamina. However, with his tendency to go forward, he does tend to forget his place in protecting the back line.
3. Tommy Clark, 18, Mackintosh Thistle Celtic
Clark can be summed up as frankly, a football zealot. Committed to his club to the point of fanaticism, he gives the impression that he would rush out at strikers even if they were covered in full body armour and armed with a machine gun, although that would make tackling them a little easier. His committment to the club and commitment to performing his best for them makes him formidable, despite what would be considered only fair talents - his work rate and sheer strength of mind makes up for that immensely. He has a tendency not to think things entirely through, charging up to opposing players, and having often unfortunate arguments with the referee, who of course is obviously biased.
4. Jim McNeill, 20, Lylia Foresters
McNeill, compared to the fiery-tempered and often irrational Clark, is normally seen as cool, logical, and technically precise. Another tall, forceful defender in what is the Weegie mould, McNeill gives the impression that his tackling is effortless - no tackle is hurried, no clearance panicked - everything he does is made for an exact purpose which will only serve to turn the game in the Weegies' favour. It seems as if he gives off an almost reassuring air. He is, however, compared to other defenders, lacking in pace, something Weegie strikers have capitalised on quite a few times.
5. Willie Malcolm, 21, Buchanan H.F.C.
Malcolm is one of those strange players - ones you know shouldn't be good but are. Malcolm is a huge, lumbering sort, when your normal profile for a full back should be short and nippy. But Malcolm is quite adequate in his position - in stopping wingers in their tracks, and can occassionaly get up well to provide a well-placed cross for a striker to get on the end of. However, what Malcolm does very well is free kicks, big, swerving monsters of free kicks that have power and excellent delivery behind them.
Subs:
13. Bobby Murdoch, 17, Carlsson Rangers
14. Ally Lennox, 18, Easter House Islanders
15. Andrew Auld, 17, Hanover Town
16. Robert Wallace, 20, Mackintosh Thistle Celtic
Midfielders:
6. Alan Johnstone, 19, Mackintosh Thistle Celtic.
The Weegies have always prided themselves on fast, pacey wingers, and Johnstone is no different. "Flash" Johnston, as he's known to his fans and admirers, combines a blistering pace with inch perfect-crosses. Unfortunately, he isn't the most long-lasting of players, and by the middle of the second half usually looks worn out, and he's only good when he's got the ball - he has little vision of the entire match or anticipation of how the match is going.
7. Davie Chalmers, 17, Buchanan H.F.C.
Chalmers is what is generally known as a "midfield general", a captain who can sense the way the game is going and inspire his teammates to shift things to their favour. With Chalmers, sometimes it seems as if he knows what's going to happen before he does it - where an opposing defender will tackle, where a supporting player will come from, where exactly the goalkeeper will dive to, and so it almost looks effortless. Of course, that only works with people who have some idea of where the games going, which may leave Johnstone out of it. Chalmers is also well known for occassional flashes of temper which have led him to do rash things, such as headbutt the referee. And the linesman. And one of his own teammates. In the same match. This fury normally gets channelled into driving the game forward, but in other cases, it's better to be wearing a safety helmet.
8. Jimmy Stein, 21, Mackintosh Thistle Celtic.
Your basic all-purpose midfielder, having been placed in the wing, the attack and the defence for various times in the Jaggy Men's tenure. Stein is normally found in his role in the Weegie side as a holding defensive midfielder to allow some cover for the attacking midfielder to go forward and assist the strikers. Whilst his pace isn't the best, he doesn't really need it - not many people get past the first flooring tackle from Stein, who's gained the nickname in Weegie circles as the "Brick Wa'", an immovable object.
9. David Hedman, 18, Lylia Foresters
Possibly the most famous player in the Weegies, a winger with the ability to find himself in the centre of the action, and not just contribute to it. To the Foresters, as a player he walks on water, and even Weegies who support other teams - even the fiercely parochial Mackintosh teams - grudgingly show that they realise that Hedman is, indeed, something special. A fierce dribbler, with the ability to round defenders with superb poise and balance, Hedman makes himself felt in every game he plays. A couple of long spells on the operating table due to a recurring knee injury from youth has made him slightly more delicate, and his fame in his native country (possibly also due to his good looks) has seemed to have led him to believe his own hype - a dangerous position, at best.
Subs:
17. Maurice Rough, 22, Easter House Islanders
18. Steve Hansen, 21, Buchanan H.F.C.
19. Bertie Johnston, 17, Mackintosh Armadillos
20. James Charnley, 21, Hanover Town
Strikers:
10. Alan Cooper, 17, Trams Union United.
The man who single-handedly saved Trams Union United from the drop this season, Cooper came from nowhere from the youth scheme of the Tramsmen, to becoming the WeePrem's top scorer with 27 goals in the bag at the moment. Cooper is the "wee man" of a typical Weegie striking partnership; fast, small, with an excellent eye for goal. Being slight, he does have a tendency to be sometimes bullied off the ball, but that's only if he can be caught.
11. Gavin Baxter, 21, Mackintosh Thistle Celtic.
Gavin Baxter is the "big man" in a Weegie striking partnership, the delivery man who sets up the goals for the smaller, faster partner and breaks up the defence. Indeed, he's the big man's big man, a hulking great striker who has no qualms with using his body to charge his way through anyone unlucky enough to get in the way. Excellent in the air, Baxter's headers have given defenders and goalkeepers a major problem, although quite a few people have criticised him for being all force and no style.
Subs:
21. Jim McCoist, 19, Carlsson Rangers
22. Thomas Rae, 20, Buchanan H.F.C.
Manager: James Kinross.
Those numbered 1-11 are those most likely to play. The Weegie national side play their games in the People's Stadium, Mackintosh, which seats 58,000 people. They play in a blue and green striped shirt with white, numbered shorts.

Oglethorpia to field World Cup team for the first time in 19+ years
MEGALOPOLIS CITY (BT) -- After the long hiatus following World Cup 17 featuring yet another uneventual effort from the Oglethorpian squad, the nation's footballing authority is ready to field another team for World Cup 22. This return to the Cup shall break the streak of four Cups featuring the nation as a non-participant.
The Oglethorpian Association Of Football named possibly its most notable and skilled player, Torrence Black, as manager/coach, but more importantly, as Head Moral Supporter; because expectations for this new novice squad are not high. Consider the statements of OAF Head President Joe Staplin; "we're taking baby steps in getting back into the Cup. First fielding a team, then maybe a good team - it's not going to be successful right off the bat. In anticipation of such, we've gone to great lengths not to bring you the best team; but certainly the most recognizable."
Staplin went on to cite both Mike White Jr. and Billiam Christmas Jr., both sons of journalists, and goalie/striker respectively. "And finally," Staplin stated, "I introduce to you, comr- uh, Torrence Black as manager of this new squad! May their unabated plummit down to the bottom of the qualifying table at least yield publicity in our return to the Cup."
Manager/Coach/Head Moral Supporter: Torrence Black
Formation: 4-4-2
Goal:
Mike White Jr. (age 20, Megalopolis City F.C.)
Defense:
Jim Seasons (age 23, SpVgg Stuttergart)
Ed Head (age 19, Steerford United)
Les Potbell (age 26, Steerford United)
Harry Falls (age 19, Sheffingham Rovers)
Half-field:
Phil "Phillys" Lysp (age 39, Polyesterhampton F.C.)
Isaac White (age 28, Sheffingham United)
Nate Leonard (age 26, Polyesterhampton F.C)
David Davison (age 31, A.C. Vague)*
Offense:
Anton Kremlov (age 20, formerly Grazrokistov F.C - now unsigned)**
Billiam Christmas Jr. (age 22, SpVgg Stuttergart)
*A.C. Vague located in The Vague, The Etherlands (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/23244/page=display_nation/nation=the_etherlands)
**Grazrokistov F.C. from Grazrokistov, Stanigramistan (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/23244/page=display_nation/nation=stanigramistan)
Of further note is Anton Kremlov, former domestic player in the Saavy Socialist States of Stanigramistan, brought to Oglethorpia under the false-pretense of "political asylum."
"It just turns out," explains Staplin, "that he was a good football player. And that he had never played nationally, making him available to Oglethorpia. Wholly coincidental."
Bets now on the Oglethorpian team are not centered on how far they'll make it past qualifying; after having successfully qualified from World Cup 4 and on; but how fast they'll falter and how bad their preformance in qualifying will be. One can only watch.

Legalese Soccer House, Francis Town. Sometime after the end of the First Round of WC XXII.
Barry Owens: [picking up phone] Hello?
Arthur Schram: Barry, Arthur here. I just had a sudden thought: did you ever send a roster in for the World Cup?
Owens: [after a brief pause] uh, I thought you were supposed to do that.
Schram: Funny, cause as you can tell, I thought that you were supposed to do that.
Owens: Why don't you have Annie do it? All the cup records should be on the computer.
Schram: I would, but it crashed. What do you have?
Owens: Well, I can tell you who I started in the finals. They're the only ones who played, actually. Would those 11 be enough?
Schram: Possibly. You'd have to ask the hosts about that.
[Momentary Pause]
Schram: Wait a second. We did co-host the cup, right?
Owens: In a manner of speaking, yes.
Schram: So, that means that the LAFC can decide whether that's okay, right?
Owens: That sounds right.
Schram: Alright then, as director of the LAFC, and the decider for the co-hosts, I say that's okay.
Owens: Good. Who should I send it to, then?
Schram: Well, to the co-hosts, I guess. So, I guess that means you just send it to my office.
Owens: Will do, Sir.
