The Peoples Republic of Grimyak would like to officially announce our independence and open our borders. We are a small and developing nation founded on the values of Socialism. We welcome and encourgage future interaction with other nations and look forward to diplimatic engagments

population : 16 mil and growing

national religion: Roman Catholicism (although all religions are tolerated)
tech level: modern
UN government catagoy: Democratic Socialist
any citizen of Grimyak may apply to the Grimyak University of Government studies where students are trained in governing techniques, ethics, and socialist ideoligy, these studunts are then placed in local and federal government based on thier skill and talent. anfter so many years in the bureaucracy especially talented administrators are placed in the highest executive branch. this small executive branch then elects among them who will serve as the acting President for the standard 7 yr. term. after his term the president traditionally then becomes a teacher at the gov. University.
the Legislative branch on the other hand is made up of representatives elected by the people. voteing is compulsory.
the Judicial branch is made up of appointed judges who serve for life
the people of Grimyak value order/law and have a strong sense of honor. Although strongly Socialist minded in an economic sense the citizens of grimyak are not to be confused with tree hugging peace mongers, Grimyakians as a whole love there meat mediuam rare and they love thier guns even more. After recent income tax experimantation the people of Grimyak are currently experenceing a severe economic crisis although the government is currently attempting to improve this situation with a drastic revitalization initutive to Grimyaks automobile industry
The governemt of Grimyak would also formily like to form bonds with any other like minded socialist governments. We also request any offers for cheap armaments as currently our military forces are small and drasticly in need of some means to properly defend ourselves. This problem has been compounded by the recent economic situation.
