With the entire Shinduago region of Seck’Sapeel under Istolinathian command after a swift and low profile conflict, and artillery has been pounding the Obsul’e – the only connection between the surface world and the underground city of Seck’Sapeel, the people of Seck’Sapeel have finally surrendered to the Istolinathian attackers. How this came about is still unknown as the ilythiiri were expected to hold out until the bitter end. No reporters were allowed to approach the Obsul’e therefore were not able to enter the underground metropolis to find out.

It is however rumoured that Istolinathian elite forces entered the Obsul’e while it was under fire and conducted covert missions inside. It is believed that these forces eliminated key targets to weaken the organisation of the ilythiiri military trapped inside Seck’Sapeel City.

Consul Vailphi and Consul Ra’kath have installed a new Valsharess in Seck’Sapeel and have declared Seck’Sapeel a provincial state of the Istolinathian Republic. The new Valsharess is Luanolu Barrit’tar, an Istolinathian Military General who has been quietly tutored by Consul Vailphi; apparently for quite some time. Though she is a strongly devout follower of Eilistraee, she is also a tough and intelligent individual and definitely suited for the task of governing the ilythiiri of Seck’Sapeel. She was the mastermind behind the swift capture of the Shinduago region of Seck’Sapeel.

Most curiously, the previous Valsharess, Dilinil Zauaphin, seems to have disappeared, and the Istolinathian Military seems to have no idea where she has gone. Intelligence reports stated that her last known location was in the Golden Palace in Seck’Sapeel City. Unfortunately it seems that these reports were evidently quite out of date and Dilinil may have escaped.

For the most part, Istolinath is starting celebrations for the liberation of their drow brethren. While most of the military stationed in Seck’Sapeel will remain for a while, some will be returning home to a hero’s welcome. The latter plans for the occupation of Seck’Sapeel are still being finalised, but it seems that the Istolinathian Military will be there for some time yet.
