Attention all Nations of the World:
This declaration follows:
We, the people of Samonides, do hereby declare ourselves a sovereign nation, in order to secure freedom for ourselves and our offspring. We claim the right to govern ourselves and will take up arms to protect our independence. We freely welcome trade with foreign states, and declare blessings of goodwill upon other countries willing to recognize our sovereignty.
This Republic of Samonides now swears herself, before God Almighty, to uphold Freedom, Liberty, and Justice; and to dedicate herself to the propagation of such lofty ideals throughout the world.
The Parliamentary Senate
East Pacific Republic of Samonides
May we be the first to congratulate you on your newly found independence. Our country itself did the same 2 years ago, and things have been going splendidly. We wish you the best, and if you would like to get in touch with me further, I urge you not to hesitate.

The Samonides Republic thanks you for your kindness in recognizing our newfound independence, and wishes to open trade with your great nations.
OOC-- How do I keep track of the nations that I'm friendly with, opposed to, trading with, etc.?

OOC: However you want, if you want to keep track. Most people tend to just remember, or if they really wish to, they make a thread looking for embassies, which they list in the thread. That's a good way of keeping track of your friends, if you want to make the thread. Or if you really want to keep track of it, I would make a word document etc to keep track.
IC: To the Parliamentary Senate of the East Pacific Republic of Samonides,
It is with happiness and vigour that we welcome yourselves, the great Samonides, into the international community. It is truly a great occasion to see a new nation formed, and we wish you every success in the future. We will observe your future with great interest, and if we can do anything to help you, then ask it of us and we will do our best to comply.
Yours Sincerely,
Simon Baites,
Minister for Foreign Diplomatic Relations,
On behalf of His Most Benevolent Imperial Majesty, Emperor Matthew VI of Falastur and the Empire

On behalf of the people of The Most Serene Republic of Hypocria I would like to take this opportunity to echo the sentiments of my international colleagues in welcoming The Republic of Samonides onto the international stage.
We are always looking to strengthen ties with other nations and would willing consider a trade agreement with the Republic of Samonides. Our Department of Commerce has noted your uranium mining industry and has expressed that an agreement could certainly be reached in regard to trade in this particular commodity.
I await your response.

We enrich our uranium for use in cheap, efficient nuclear power, as well as using it in nuclear weapons. We would be willing to sand shipments of high grade, unenriched (Sorry, you'll have to enrich it yourself :p ) uranium in exchange for newer military hardware, as well as Hypocrian-manufactured automobiles. Here are our military stats:
-AK- 74 standard assault rifle
1 aircraft carrier (nuclear) carries F-4s
2 destroyers
5 cruisers
1 Nuclear-powered submarine
38 light coastal patrol boats.
17 F-4 Phantom Fighter craft.
12 F-15 Eagle Fighter craft
20 C-130 Transport Planes.
As you can see, it is woefully inadequate to defend ourselves.
Our Nation eagerly awaits your reply.

Secretary of Trade and Commerce
Republic of Samonides
Secretary Johnson,
I regret to inform you that, upon further reflection, the Department of Commerce does not feel that your uranium mining operations are of the scale required to meet our needs.
However, in the spirit of friendship, we are willing to provide a gift in the form of 2000 SA80A2 assault rifles, the standard armament of the Hypocrian army, courtesy of the Cronos Armaments Corporation. I have been provided with the necessary specifications.
Calibre 5.56 mm
Weight 4.98 kg (with loaded magazine and optical sight)
Length 785 mm
Barrel Length 518 mm
Muzzle Velocity 940 m/s
Feed 30 round magazine
Effective Range 400 m
Cyclic Rate of Fire 610-775 rounds per minute
As a further offer of friendship we offer one of our MSTAR portable radars. I am reliably informed that the MSTAR is a lightweight all-weather battlefield radar, able to detect helicopters, vehicles and infantry to a range in excess of 20km. I am sure you will find a use for it.
Good Luck for the future Secretary Johnson.
Yours,
Sebastian Vermiro.
Department of Commerce.

Secretary Johnson,
In response to your telegram I can inform you that, although the Cronos Armaments Corporation is not interested in opening new facilities outside our borders at this time, they are more than willing to negotiate a supply contract with your nation.
It must be stressed that CronArmCorp specializes in armaments and equipment for ground based forces only. They will be unable to help in supplying your aerial or navel units.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Sebastian Vermiro.
Department of Commerce.
Welcome to the international community, Samonides.
We ourselves have been looking to foster strong trade links with other nations by setting up our higher quality automobile industries within them in return for trade goods. Would you be interested in such an agreement?

Department of Trade and Industry
Senior Elder Makri Tenosha scanned the universe. A promising mind, she thought. If she could only contact this religious one...
"I am Senior Elder Makri Tenosha of the Community of Varuk," she spoke in a telepathic link with Secretary Johnson. "I know you well, Mr. Secretary, and you are promising. Please consider an alliance with the Community of Varuk at a later date."
