Fellow Nations,

As President of this progressive nation, it is my pleasure to announce that the Dominion of Ausholm has opened its borders to foreign industry.

With our competitive rates of tax and intelligent, harworking labour force, here lies an opportunity that the private sector of your nation cannot afford to miss. All I request is that you allow the Ausholm automotive sector the same opportunity in your own nation, so that we may grow stronger together.

May I suggest that you provide your nation's identity and the industry which you desire to set up within our border, for the purpose of our national records.

I eagerly await your response,

President Milo Ferrara

Mr. President

On behalf of the Serene Republic of Hypocria I would like to be the first to welcome the Dominion of Ausholm onto the international stage. Unfortunately the Hypocrian Department of Commerce has recently introduced legislation to preserve our own automotive industry so I fear the trade agreement you want would be quite impossible.

However I do not want this to prevent good relations between our nations. I am confident the Dominion of Ausholm has many other assets which would be of interest to us. We would be more than willing to talk further.

Dear Mr. Borada,

I fully understand the situation and let me assure you that this will not damage any potential relations between our two nations. However, perhaps a different form of agreement can be reached.

Our automobile industry is an established and efficient one and we would be willing to lend some of our expertise to your budding industry as a sign of goodwill between us. One of our leading manfucaturers, Farad, have even proposed a jointly designed car and are eager to send a team of technicians right away to begin work on such a project. If you are amenable to this, please let me know.

Mr Minton.

I will of course pass on your offer to our Department of Commerce. However as our "budding industry" has been in production for just as long as yours if not longer I believe the DOC will decline your kind offer to lend expertise.

However the joint venture is most intriguing. I'm sure a DOC spokesperson will be in touch.

Dear Mr. Borada,

Please accept my apologies, it was not my intention to offend. I merely wished to allude to the fact that since our industry is exclusively automobile based and heavily supported by the government, we may have something to offer you in the way of technological advances. Recent car magazines have voted our engines as some of the cleanest running in the Pacific and we would happily share such technology for you in the hope of drawing our nations closer.

We eagerly await contact with your DOC.

Greetings, Companions!

In the course of our war with the Ninaran Soviet Socialist Republic, the Peasant-Worker Coalition of Godnose has received a terrible blow. The Sector 28 area was heavily bombed last week and our agricultural sector in that area has been all but wiped out. We have no land left for which we can allocate to the production of food for the 1.2 million citizens living in Sector 28. The All-Coaliton Agricultural Council would like inquire if we could set up food production industries in your country. We have a great deal of money and are willing pay any reasonable price. We have signed a pact with the Ninarans ensuring that no countries other than the signees of the Mutual Declaration of War document shall in any way be affected by the Ninara-Godnose War.

Companion Watt,

It would be a pleasure to welcome Godnose's food production industries within our borders. There is a sizeable tract of fertile land serviced by a tributary of the river Mayon to the West of our capital which my surveyor informs me would be suitable location for food production.

All we ask for in exchange is that you provide funds for a modern rail system to connect the area to our existing transport services located within our capital Almsbrook and the opportunity to set up our vehicle manufacture facilities within your nation once hostilities with Ninara have ceased.

I look forward to meeting your delegation personally.

Companion Milton

Having reviewed your statement, the Coalition has decided that this exchange would be healthy and profitable to both countries involved.

Our assessment of the area you have referred to coincides with yours, in that we believe it would perfect for our needs. In assisting our nation, you have saved a vast number of lives.

We are also pleased to announce that we are not only willing to provide funds but would be more than happy to provide engineers and skilled workers for the construction of your railway. The PWCG has a great deal of experience in constructing highly-efficient railway systems and we recently assisted in the completion of the Industrial Freight Line in the Grand Duchy of Imperial Mecklenburg, which we have been informed is running at peak productivity.

The war with Ninara is reaching a close with both sides sending delegations to the neutral People's Republic of Mulrovia this Tuesday. We are certain that this will bring the war to an end which shall be mutually beneficial to both sides. Once this has been agreed upon, you are welcome to move your industries into a safe industrial zone protected by the 1997 Industrial Protection Pact. There are, of course, some minor regulations which your staff shall be required to adhere to. These would not in any way put the profitability of your industry at risk, we are highly aware of the value materialistic nations such as yours place in profitability. Foreigners, for security and public safety reasons, are prohibited from contact with non-government personnel (all people not involved with skilled work, security, military or administrative activity). Aside from this, you have the full cooperation of the PWCG.

Master of Commerce of the Holy Empire of Thechya,

It would be a pleasure to welcome such trade into our nation. My surveyor informs me that there are numerous flat pastures to the North-West of our capital, served by a tributary of the river Mayon that would be suitable for beef-based agriculture. All that we ask is that you provide the financial support for the construction of the transport infastructure to link it to our own current system. You may consider some co-ordination with the nation of Godnose, as the layout of the land would require some form of overlap in transport systems and a cost compromise could be reached.

I am currently considering proposals from our various automobile manufacturers and once I have found a suitable one I will send a team over to your nation at once. Could you please indicate if you have any suitable facilities available at present or will we be required to build one?

Our Holy Empire would have no trouble funding a transport system. If the nation of Godnose would like to share the costs, we could do that as well.

We have a few facilities that re avaliable, but it depends on the size and number of the facilities required.

To all concerned,

I am happy to report that the necessary deforestation required to create the two regions has taken place and work is proceeding apace on the light railway. I expect that it to be completed within the next few months. Rest assured I shall alert you when this happens.

Mr. Wilson,

The project I speak of is a fuel efficient and clean car, which will serve to protect each of our nations' beautiful countrysides. Naturally we may need get more nations on board, but I am hopeful that the bulk of the engine work can be completed by our own engineers. Would this form of scheme be of interest to you?

The door opened revealing the darkness beyond. The suited man took a tentative step forward. The room was covered in a layer of dust and cobwebs. A figure was seated behind a desk in the room’s centre.

“Garfield?” The suited man ventured. “A message arrived for you. It’s from Ausholm.”

The figure stirred dislodging a startled spider. “The light” It murmured.

“Ur. Yes. Anywho you have a reply from Ausholm Garfield. You remember? The car deal?”

“Where?”

“Ausholm”

“Ausholm?” The figure thought for a moment. “Yes. Ausholm. I remember. They replied! THEY REPLIED! Ahahahahahaha”

“O-k”. The suited man turned to towards the door, behind him the laughter had turned into uncontrollable sobbing.

“Jenkins” He called to somebody out of sight. “Can you fetch Director Braska? I think we may need to find someone else to negotiate with Ausholm”

“Where?”

“Ausholm. Look it doesn’t matter. Just fetch Braska”

A few minutes past before a second suited man arrived.

“Good evening sir” the first suit greeted him. “I think we have a problem with old Garfield”

He gestured to the figure now lying flat on his back in the dusty room making a curious buzzing sound.

“I see” Braska replied. “I thought I hadn't heard from him in a while. He said he was just waiting for a reply from someone but that was weeks ago. You’d better get a medical team down here”

“One other thing sir. I’d like to volunteer to head up the Ausholm deal while Garfield is . . . indisposed”

“Where?”

“Ausholm sir. The car deal”

“Yes. Yes. Whatever. Just get this mess cleaned up first. He’s making the place look untidy. Then you can talk to Aushole”

“Ausholm”

“What?”

“Nevermind”

Unfortunately Mr Wilson has been recently taken ill and will consequently be unable to continue with these negotiations. I will be taking over from him.

In answer to your question it is a scheme that interests us. However how confident are you of gaining the support of other nations and what role will this other nations play?

Yours,
