You don't remember when the boat went down, or even what kind of boat it was,be it luxury or a small fishing boat. Suppose at this point it doesn't matter, becausenow you're washed up on some sandy beach in the absolute middle of nowhere, on some small deserted island. You stumble to your feet and begin searching for bits of wreckage, but not a single item is to be found, not even a piece of the boat itself. Discouraged you begin to search for food and a possible place to provide you shelter, but none of the trees bear any fruit and none of the plants contain any berries. There are absolutely no caves or sheltered places for you to rest, so you begin to build.

None of the leaves or branches are big enough to provide adequate shelter, so you just decide to sleep in a nearby bush when it gets dark. With no food and no fresh drinking water available, you begin the long wait until you slowly starve to death. You think about your family and the life you left behind, and just as you were about to give up hope, you see an object floating towards the shore. In a hurry you dash down towards the water and watch as the object floats onto the sandy beach. It's not a piece of wreckage or anything useful, but instead it is a dead body. The body is that of a small African teenager, and his naked body sits there on the beach, motionless. You stare at the body in horror and realize that you cannot leave it sitting out in the open, because soon it will start to decay and the smell will become overwhelming.

You try to move the body, but you cannot bring yourself to touch the corpse's cold clammy skin. You try to use leaves as gloves, but you still cannot bring yourself to move the dead body, so you decide to just let it sit where it is. You move to the other side of the small island and sit there for a few days, thinking about the body that is beginning to stink in the hot sun. Out of curiosity you go back down towards that spot of beach, and you notice that the body is starting to bloat. The boy's facial features are distorted and his body blown up like a balloon, and insects and other small creatures are beginning to feast upon his rotting flesh. The sight it overwhelming, and you run from the site feeling sick to your stomach. The smell is disgusting.

You spend that night in agony, for your insides are starting to digest themselves and all you can think about is that rotting body. Each day that passes your hunger increases, to the point now where you move back down to that section of beach and give serious thought to eating that body. You kneel next to the now horridly decayed corpse and look it over, your mouth thinking of nothing but food. As you bend down to take a bite, you recoil yourself and come to your senses. You know that the toxins inside the body would surely kill you in a most painful and disgusting manner, so you decide you would rather starve than taste his repulsive flesh.

As you get up to leave, your ears catch the faint sound of a voice saying Thank you for not eating me! You turn back to the body to see it smiling at you, it's white teeth clearly visible, for the ants and other bugs have eaten away his lips. You shake your head in disbelief, but the corpse keeps talking to you for the rest of the afternoon and well into the evening. You chat about life and love lost, and what you plan to do in the afterlife. The body sings songs to you as the sun begins to set, and he walks with you back to your sleeping spot. He lags behind you a bit, and you look back to see his body moving to and fro as his rotten legs struggle to carry himself. His near skeletal arms sway back and forth, and his massively bloated gut make him look almost humorous in appearance. You watch as he slumps to the ground several dozen yards away from you, and you begin to sleep for the night.

When you wake up the next day, you realize just what happened to you. You were talking to the decaying corpse of some boy, and the horrifying thought makes you begin to visibly shake. You decide to put your mind to ease and go back down to the site to reassure yourself that it was all a hallucination, but when you arrive there the body is gone. You look around frantically for the corpse, but it is completely gone. There are no animals around that could have taken it, and it did not appear to have washed out to sea again, so for the remainder of the day you search for the body, but you find nothing.

That night you try to sleep, but the moon is high and there is a slight breeze that causes to vegetation to stir. The tide begins to crash and save for the moonlight, all is dark. You close your eyes several times but find yourself opening them mere seconds later, for the fear inside your now withering body grows by the minute. Finally, as your weary mind begins to slip into slumber, you notice that stench again. You try to keep your eyes closed, but the smell intensifies and you get the strange impression you are not alone. You open your eyes in an instant and see the corpse mere inches from your face, it's glazed over eyes staring directly into yours.

You then sit up in bed, your forehead covered in sweat. The alarm clock read 2:57 am, and the entire room is dark. Your mouth is dry from thirst, and you decide that you need to go upstairs for a drink of water. You remove yourself from your bed and the first thing you do is turn on the light, and as you walk from room to room you turn on every light behind you, making sure that nothing and no one is following you. The last lightswitch in the basement is at the top of the stairs, and with an uneasy feeling you bolt up the stairs and flick the light on quickly. Nothing is there.

You walk into the kitchen and remove a tall glass from the cupboard, pouring yourself some fresh ice water from the fridge. As you drink it you pay special attention to the shadows and especially the windows, expecting a nasty surprise at any minute. But nothing happens, and you down another glass or two of water then start back to your room. You intentionally left the light on at the top of the steps in case you needed to come back upstairs for anything, and as you turn off the lights in each room before you get to yours, you look over your shoulder and all around you. Nothing is there.

You climb back into bed and pull the still warm covers over your body and tell yourself it was all just a bad dream. As you lay there looking at the ceiling, that same uneasy feeling washes over you. The headlights of a passing car outside shine in through your window, and to your horror that same corpse is in bed with you. You scream as loud as you can, but your brother that sleeps in the same room as you cannot hear you. The corpse climbs on top of you and begins smothering you, and you cry hysterically as your life flashes before your eyes.

Then morning comes, and you wake from your bed. It's 7:40, and you need to be to work at 8:00 am. As you stand up and stretch, you say to yourself, That was one messed up dream.

The walk down the hallway took forever, and it seemed as if the half hour walk got you next to nowhere. At the end of the long corridor was an empty room that had but one window on the wall to your left. The cold stone walls were poorly lit by the few candles that lined the top of the wall, but for some reason you did not feel cold. You entered the room and glanced around for a second, and just as you turned around to leave you noticed that the room was now fully furnished. In fact, the room was full of people garbed in long black robes, and their faces were shrouded by the hoods that covered their heads. They all turned and looked at you at the same time, but none of them spoke a single word.

You look around in a near panic, and just as you begin to move towards the window they all riase their right hands and point at you. Again, they spoke not a word but instead moved closer and closer to you, until you had your back firmly pressed against the window. You opened it without hesitation and began to climb outside, except you made the mistake of looking down. The castle window that you were hanging out of was several thousand feet in the air atop a jagged peak, where the ground was not visible at all. The mob of cloaked beings moves closer to you, and this time they begin chanting your name in the same raspy tone, as if it was being played through dozens of speakers at the same time.

Thunder outside cracks sharply and you lose your grip. As you fall you turn yourself about and scream like a madman as you plummet at an ungodly rate towards the ground. You fall faster and faster, until you sense the end is near, at which point you shield your eyes and brace for impact. As you feel the ground nearly upon you, you cry out to God and ask him to spare your life.

Your landing is not hard and gory, but soft and cushioned to your surprise. You open your eyes and see that you are in a white gazebo surrounded by white doves and fields of flowers that sit next to a babbling brook. The water is cool and crystal clear, and you bend down and splash a fair amount on your face and tell yourself that you are just dreaming and that now is the time to wake up. As you stand amidst the most beautiful scene imaginable, you see a figure in what appears to be a white wedding dress walking towards you. Her moves are smooth and graceful, and her waist length brunette hair sways gently about her hips as she moves over next to you. Your heart jumps for a moment, for here in front of you is the most beautiful woman you have ever seen. Her pouty lips and mesmerizing green eyes beckon you closer, and she motions her right index finger at you seductively.

She throws her arms around you and giggles gently, and you find yourself smiling as well. She gives you a small peck on the cheeck and then blows into your ear, whispering your name and moving her body even closer to yours. You reply back Yes?, as you run your fingers through her long soft hair and take in her pleasant scent with a deep breath. She whispers in your ear yet again, Take me..., and she places your hands on her hips and giggles yet again.

A tear fills your eye as your breathing quickens, and you tell yourself you've never been happier. You loosen your grip on her body and go to look into her beautiful eyes once more, but to your horror you see that all her perfect features have withered away. Her lovely green eyes had shriveled into nothing, and her face is cracked and a horrid shade of brownish green. Flies and bugs exit from her gaping mouth, and you drop her stiff and now cold body on the ground and begin crying aloud. You cover your eyes and wipe away the tears that had formed on your face, and as you remove your hands you notice that the paradise that once surrounded you is aflame.

Animals attack and maul eachother at random, and the once clear waters that flowed through the small river have turned to blood. You look behind you and see your home town, and it too has been consumed by the ravenous fires that have spread everywhere. You walk the burning streets looking at the carnage that surrounds you, and you watch as people leap out of tall buildings in large numbers, but as their bodies smash into the pavement they remain alive, and screaming in unimaginable pain. Bodies lay strewn everywhere on people's lawns and on roof tops, and each sight you see is worse than the last.

You see your mother crawling towards you slowly, and she is very badly burnt from head to toe. As you rush to her side, a pack of wild dogs grabs ahold of her, and there is nothing more for you to do than cover your eyes and scream at yourself to wake up. This isn't real! This isn't real!

You wake up well into the afternoon and glance at the clock on your wall, and the hands read 1:24 pm. You had slept way too late, and you get out your bed slowly and stumble towards the mirror in the bathroom. You stare into your own eyes for several minutes before realizing that you haven't exhaled since you woke up, and you gasp for breath and shake your head several times. You undress yourself and climb into the shower, and for the rest of the day you think of nothing except that horrible nightmare of yours.....

Hahaha...those dreams suck man. I normally get them when I'm really tired. I'll have to think of some past ones. The memory of the dream seems to fade quite rapidly over time.

OOC: I'll give this a shot too...I've had a number of strange dreams, but this one takes the cake. It freaked me out. It happened literally in five separate dreams, all forming one big one...

Five days of the same dream...quite freaky I'd say...

IC:
There comes a time when you will one day climb some mountain in some unknown location and find yourself standing on the edge of the cliff at the peak. You can see the land sprawled out, reminding you of some artist's landscape painting. The colors are bold, and sharply defined. You look up at the eastern horizon, on your left, to see the rising sun, rising like a fiery pheonix heralding the coming day. But something is wrong, you can tell, as you watch the sun rising. Something will happen today, but you don't know what. Something that will change the world.

As you are pondering these strange thoughts, your eyes wander and locate a small town nestled into the base of the mountain, the town's inhabitant's moving about their morning duties. For some reason, you feel uneasy, as if that town is condemned to a dark and ominous fate. You look in another direction to see a great city sitting upon the plains, the skyscrapers rising up like pinnacles of greatness. For that city as well, you feel great uneasiness. You know, somehow, that it too is condemned.

Suddenly, the air rushes about you, quickly dropping in temperature as a dark shadow captures your vision to the right. You turn to behold great fearsome creatures ripping the skies apart with their hands and stepping forth from another dimension. They are dark and ugly to the sight, and stand hundreds of feet. You watch as they take their first steps in different directions, their footsteps trembling the earth like great earthquakes. You can only think one word, one explanation for this that you have become witness to:

Apocalypse

You watch in horror as one of the great beasts bends over slightly and opens its mouth, sending great clouds of dark matter toward the town at the base of the mountain. You are frozen to the spot and can only speculate what that beast has sent unto the earth. Plague is the best you can imagine, and you can only watch as numerous humans far away, collapsing and dying unto the earth.

Suddenly, numerous cries of fear, pain, and great suffering can be heard over the winds which now have regularly buffeted the earth ushered forth by dark clouds that are illuminated by an incredible, almost surreal display of lightning. Your eyes watch as that once great city is cast upward by great earthquakes that rip deep tears through the earth, swallowing the city into the ground little by little.

Suddenly a great wind buffets you and you close your eyes and crouch down in self-protection. The wind dies momentarily and you look up, only to find yourself within the great city of skyscrapers. Millions of humans are running from the east and you turn to gaze with awe and fear upon the numerous monsters that approach steadily.

Death is coming, and you are powerless to do anything. And so, you turn to run, fear filling your thoughts, impending doom gripping your soul with a deathly vice. Something is wrong and you look down to your feet, to find them completely frozen in place, unwilling to move. There is only one thing left to do, and that is to face the oncoming Death. You watch as humans running away suffer greatly as their souls are ripped free of their mortal bodies, the eternal screams almost too much to bear.
__________________________________

You wake up suddenly, sweat covering your body like a thin film of fear. The day passes almost normally except for one major problem. As you walk about, you find yourself watching the people around you, and have that ominous feeling once more. You find that each of these people's lives are shallow, their talking is blank, muted. Even the emotions are false, merely masks for their souls. Each of these are tools of their damned souls. You cast your eyes upon those whom you've always considered to be good, righteous people, and see that they too are dead to the world, just like the rest of them.

There is one sure thing besides the fact that they are all condemned, that you know of. You know that millions, if not billions of people will suffer greatly upon the coming of the Apocalypse. You don't know how, or why, but you just know. And all you can do is whisper words of mercy to their souls as you pass on by.

You think you are trying to be told something, something you may not understand. Yet, the inevitable question now rages in your mind: Will I be too late to understand fully?

You eventually are back in your bed, and soon fast asleep. Unfortunately for you, you are to continue the fearsome dreams...
__________________________________

You are back in the city again, still stuck in place as you watch the beasts arriving closer. Their footsteps cause great quakes, their foul voices roaring words of some unknown ancient language. The closest beast steps clearly over your head, sparing your life, only to force you to watch it as it demolishes great monuments in the city. Hordes of people run screaming before it, but are effortlessly crushed under its great feet. You notice that these people are strangely thin, their skeletons clearly showing through their skin and loosely hanging clothes. Famine comes to mind and you feel pity for those souls.

You collapse to your knees, your hands wrenching your hair ferociously. You wish to die already and no longer be a witness of the End of Times. You cower to the ground into a fetal position, your every hope extinguished as you cry to yourself, your voice mumbling incoherently.

In your mind, you count off the terrors you have witnessed: Pestilence, Famine, and Death. There is one more horseman of death that you know has yet to show itself, and strangely, you know that it will come. It probably has already arrived in other parts of the world you realize, and you are powerless to stop any of this.

You awaken from a deep sleep, still within the city. You hear nothing around you, not a single sound. Even the wind has died to you, the air becoming stale. It too has passed into oblivion. You wander the earth, gazing upon the dead bodies that litter the ground, the stench of death heavy in the air. Many times, you are forced to retch until you can retch no more. The crops have been burned away, every soul but your own is long gone. Once again, you find yourself upon that cliff and gazing upon a dead, withered earth. All tears have become spent, and you can only wonder why you are the last one alive...

My weirdest dream that I can remember to this date:

Me and my highschool friends, also my brother, sneek into a sort of German concentration camp at a clear night. I really can't remember what it was what we were searching. In the largest building in the middle we disguise ourselves as waiters and attend to a dinner party of my old highschool teachers in grey and black wehrmacht-uniforms (even the ones I liked). We manage to escape with our booty yet at the gate some other awaits us with two catapults made a straw. They capture us, steal our prize and without me doing something I see my brother and my best friend shot back into the camp with the catapults.

I really think I'm too much into WW2 stuff. Few nights ago I dreamt I was a dead paratrooper lying in a ditch on D-Day.

Now that first nightmare reminded me of a kids show...it was like, a ten minute segment on the Nikelodean channel, called 'Freaky Stories'. Heh, it would always start off with 'This is a true story...it happened to a friend of a friend of mine...'
But anyway, I don't usually have nightmares. Or else...I dont class them as nightmares because I like them too much. But then...I don't really have gruesome nightmares. Mine would more likely be psychologically scary. But here's one anyway. It's the only one I can remember waking up with a start from.

I was situated in a sewer, somewhere. The walls were black with mildew, as if they had once been slimy and green, but had since been neglected. One tunnel ended, and another one started, and in between was a square room, where there were stairs leading up to a square ledge, and a ladder. There was a small light fixated to the ceiling, but all in all the place was rather dull. There were three figures in this small room. One suspicious looking man, wearing all black and leather, and attatched to his elbow a rather skinny looking girl. She was the skanky kind, though also intimidating. The third man walked in through the tunnel which was ending - he was young, also dressed in black trenchcoat, with longish hair. At first I acted as an omnipresent being. I watched the situation as it unfolded. I don't remember the conversation, though there was one. The conversation became heated, and turned into an arguement between the two men. The girl merely sat back and watched. The young man then turned his back, and began to walk back in through the tunnel. It was then that I became him. I heard the female voice behind me, eery and hushed. "Kairu, Kairu, Kairu..." she said, and it was then that I turned. I felt the barrel of a gun at my stomach, and my hands instinctively came up to clutch at it. I swear I could feel the cold of the metal, and I woke with a start. Now here's the freaky part - I was awake, or at least half awake. Hell, lets say I was three quarters awake. I heard a male voice, which said "Isn't this what you've always wanted?".
And then it faded, and I was clutching at my pillow. I was lying on my back, which I never ever do. I always sleep on my side, or on my stomach.
It's one dream that I will always remember,

Edit - Well, the Neo-Con's are right - us liberals are trying to get evil gay marriage at any cost.
I walk onto the bus. Some girl asks me, “Are you a part of the Demon Invasion.”

“Yes.”

“I never thought you would be. I thought ‘Jane’ (Real name edited out) was the leader.”

“No, I am the leader.”

“Weird.”

Then I get off the bus, and am talking to some red-neck.

“I heard these demons are coming. I blame the gays, trying to get married.”

“Really? You blame the gays? Well, when I take over, any group of people can get married” I ask as a horde of semi cute, black, burning demons come racing down the road.

“Oh $h!t!” He fires a shot gun at them. They ignore him.

I am now next to the boathouse. The world is in flames – except they are just not hurting anything. The sky is blue still, but there are towering red infernos all around.

“You caused all this?” asks the first girl,

“Yes.”

"For a demon invasion, its not that bad."

‘Jane’ then asks me about her War-Lord-ship.

“Fine, take over, I don’t really care.”

I think the wierdest dream that I ever had (or rather the only one that I really remember) was when I dreamed that I was some kind of infantryman in world war two, probably a paratrooper, and I set up all my platoon for an ambush, but suddenly tanks burst into our position. I tried to run, but I couldn't move, and shot at the tanks with my rifle, which must have jammed or something. I was about to be run over or machine-gunned and I yelled for everybody to run.

And then I woke up. This was after watching Band of Brothers. While we were doing the Reunification Rainbow RP I also had a strange dream. I was in a T-55 and was trying to fight off all these tanks and infantry, and the tank started to burn. I jumped out of the tank and shot at some people, and then I woke up.

OOC - Here is something freaky I had in a dream, very simple

IC - I was being chased around the house by a shadow, it would not go away, I keep on running, but can't escape it. I run into the street, and it follows. Something about it is familier but I don't know who or what it is. It gets bigger and bigger and there is no escape. I run and run but all I can hear are screams. Then the shaddow takes over and I am falling. Then I wake up
