The Mirfakan Labule finished its twenty-year expansion last month, and today released publically their full fleet report. The numbers of the newly-commissioned fleets and facilities are staggering, having been built primarily with private loans totalling in the hundreds of trillions. Mirfak's government said in a statement that this expansion will be the Labule's last for what could be over a century. "We will continue to finance fleet maintenance and upgrades," said Speaker of the Council Ziona Kindal, "but no new ships will be commissioned until we can pay off some of the debt incurred in this venture." The new fleet, which was financed primarily by domestic interests on the highly-corporate planet of Mirfak III, was constructed under emergency conditions to fill the defensive void left by the departure of forces occupying Mirfak and CoreWorlds' recent involvement with the Sith conflict. The Mirfakan government is expected to operate on a balanced budget henceforth, barring future emergencies. It currently owes approximately $416 trillion to public and private interests across the quadrant, which are expected to be paid off in about 500 years accounting future economic growth.
