Earlier today, Imelda Tewkesbury of Nordfeld Downs gave birth to the 3,000 millionth subject. Mrs Tewkesbury proclaimed, "I was well glad when I discovered I needn't give birth to all of them. One was more than enough!"

Mr and Mrs Tewkesbury welcomed their lovely daughter, Jessica Penelope, into the world at 1.04 am. "We couldn't be happier," Mr Tewkesbury announced. "She has the right amount of digits and even an admirable crop of hair." Both parents received a lovely plaque from the King commemorating the event as well as the assurance His Majesty will provide their daughter with the best educational and other opportunities possible.

"We would love to provide such opportunities to every Isselmere-Nielander child, but regrettably it simply isn't possible," the King lamented.

OOC: Congrats Isselmere! :)

Senior Vice President for Internal Affairs Nicole Lewis arrived at her office in Woodstock and issued the following statement:

On behalf of the government of the Incorporated States of Sarzonia, it is my distinct pleasure to congratulate the United Kingdom of Isselmere-Nieland on the birth of their three-billionth subject and Mr. and Mrs. Tewkesbury on the birth of Jessica Penelope. We hope that you and everyone have long, successful lives and wish you the very best.

"Madame Senior Vice President," an aide to Senior Vice President for External Affairs Mark Lorber said. "Aren't you aware that relations with Isselmere-Nieland are a bit strained at the moment?"

"I'm well aware of that," Lewis said. "I think we can look past that to issue congratulations and if you don't, that's too damn bad." She puncuated the last comment with a scowl that told the aide to get out of her way, which he did.
