Di Lorenzi frustrated with 25th position.

Ondrea Di Lorenzi from team NHLPA has not been satisfied with the results from qualifying. After taking a bad turn and 2 360 degree turns, she lost a potential 4th to a sad 25th. However, Hockey Canadians are pulling for the only female in this event. odds are a wholt lot of femininists will be cheering for her too.

Vince Chaundaun performed best in his #97 Car as he set the 8th fastest time. The PPPStore team get's place 12 while the CuisineX team has a somewhat slower time putting them in 22th position. Driver Simon Hugo needed to get used to his car though and says all-in-all he is very happy with his run.

All three of the teams are very optimistic for the upcoming race and believe they can set a good result.

The Stump Times
"Stumperia, Stumperia, Oh we're so Superior"

Well, it was the first race today for the 2 Stumperian racers Mav Roidy and Bokiru Revishutz who unfortuently both finished in the last 10 for qualifying at the Tonissia 500.

"We are only a new team, but soon, we will be up there! Things are just a bit fresh at the moment, we need to be used to the busy-ness of running a team. Eventually we'll have it all round our little finger." explained team manager Calofk Stumpj.

Bokiru Revishutz would have last position in the grid is it weren't for an engine failure on John Ray-Roy's car.

More updates soon from The Stump Times on Stumperia's first Stock Car season.

Pole position attained. Dancing no longer banned in FLP.

Mike Baffle reached pole for the first race of the season. Officials looking over the results for qualifying are frankly, excuse the pun, baffled. Not only by the pole, though that is a surprise, but by what the results actually mean. Baffle himself just drove as fast as he could until told to stop.

The government of FLP has released 2 new initiatives following the amazing event. One is that private sporting ventures are to be promoted, and from now on the government shall have little to no say in most sports. The other is that dancing, having been illegal for a couple of years now, is to be legalised.

Baffle drops in actual race. Dancing now legal only under supervision.

The first race of the Stock Car season saw Baffle go from a prominent pole to a 7th place finish. This means the team leave with just 15 points, far short of the expected target. But, as most expected the car to mysteriously explode, or atleast finish last, it is seen as a small victory.

Di Lorenzi Hops 15 places to 10th. Big writing effective getting message through.

After jumping from 25th in qualifying to 10th in the race, Ondrea Di Lorenzi, the only racer from Hockey Canada, is thrilled just to be here.

"It's amazing just being among so many people going after the lead. We'll be sure to do much better next race."

And so she shall.

...or are very fun to wreck, as none of the three Sjwitz teams managed to finish. Vinca Chaundaun performed best of all, he managed to drive in the the lead for three laps and gets 2 points instead of one.

Mechanics are working on all three cars to ensure that next time all three at least make it to the finish.

The two racers that Formal Dances had entered had a poor showing in qualifing for the first race. Lawrence Peterson of Alstons Formal came in 23rd and Nicole Carson of Rach's Dress Shop qualified 30th.

"This wasn't our best but then this was only qualifing. This wasn't the real race. We'll do better in the race." Lawrence stated as he headed back to his trailor.

"I'm disappointed. I wanted to do quite well and I didn't! I have things to prove and this didn't get it done." Nicole replied to questions. She then headed back to the garage to see if there is anyway to make the car run better.

The race itself was a different story!

Rob Munson and Greg Thompson do well in qualifying. They proved what training can do for a team. Though Greg didn't qualify in the top 10, he was still happy with his showing.

"I did what needed doing. Now when the race comes, I shall prove myself again."

As for Rob, he qualified 4th overall. "I'm quite thrilled with that. I'm hoping to win the race but if I don't, I shall prepare for the next go around."

Havlian Participates in International Race

Capital City resident Aris State Jr. finished 19th in this Sunday's race in DaytonaCity, Tonissa in the Tonissia 500, and while that may not sound impressive, it is certainly notable. State becomes the first Havlian to participate in a foreign motor race, and the first athelete to compete internationally since the attacks at the South Eastern North West soccer playoffs, where the entire Havl team was attacked and killed.
Despite his less-than-stellar finish, State's 19th place was 10 places higher than his qualifying effort, a languishing 29th. Although State did make one pass on the track, the remaining 9 places were given up due to accidents and attrition. Still, in the 500 mile race, finishing is important.
The race was the inaugural in a new, international stock car racing series, funded by Tonissia tycoon Bryan Franse. State will be competing in the remaining races of the season, including the Grand Prix of Havl, one of the few road-course style tracks on the calander.

Pasquinelli Aghast

"How!?" asked Pasquinelli after the end of the first race of the stock car year. His Kazakh Oil car was to fault for his 14th place, he says, as it was perfect in qualifying but lost pace continuously through the race, which is what matters.

He was complaining of a lack of power, but looks forward to future races. He promises to improve in the future, and perhaps post a decent result or two!

Baffle hits 9th.

In a rather startling qualigying session earlier today, Baffle enterprises drive, Baffle, Posted a 9th place finish in qualifying. He posted quick laps early on but slacked off later, as the other racers were beginning to hit their stride. Nonetheless it was a good result and he will be happy to have a top 10 place in the starting line-up.

Stumpy Sports

The Voola's are not up to managers standards.

Calofk Stumpj today had spoken his thoughts. He had said today that the team could do better.

"The team can do much better than this, I think its because Voola's is a big business in Stumperia and only using the team for advertisment, please you money hungry buggers, give your team some bloody help!"

Since the last qualification round of the last race, Mav Roidy has gone up 9 places and Bokiru Revishutz has gone up 7 places.

"Well, at least the team is improving from the sources we do have!" commented Calofk Stumpj.

More news to come from the NS Stock Car League!

OOC: Voola's is a Stumperian business who are like Coca-Cola, there are just everywhere. So they buy whatever they can, and bought the team.

Grabow Gets 16th position after Accedent Last Time

James Grabow, East Lithuania's top driver, now has an ok spot going into the next race. Also, we all hope that what happend in the Tonissa 500 doesn't happen again. For all those that missed the race, heres what happend:

In lap 15, James Grabow was driving into turn 2, of course listenin to a implaced CD player and was playing a mixed CD of all his sponsers greatest. According to Mr. Grabow, While listening to "We've Had Enough" by The Alkaline Trio, Lithuanian Racing's main sponser and one of James Grabows favorite bands, when it suddenly started skipping a bit. As James Grabow reached to fix it up a bit, Tommy Lopkina came up along the inside of Grabow. Grabow suddenly turned a sharp left and went straight into Lopkina. James Grabow lost control and ran into the wall. On his way up he nudged Greg Thompson. Greg then lost it enough to hit Lopkina in the rear, causing Lopkina to flip many times. Thompson was lucky for it, since it brought him back on track and he held it enough to go into the pits to fix up his car. Grabow and Lopkina weren't lucky, having to be towed off and be out of the rest of the race. Afew days later, both Grabow and Lopkina confirmed there cars were ready to race. Plus, Grabow sincerly apologized for the whole inncident.

Well, that was last week. Join us this week, as James Grabow hopes to snatch a good position in this race. The race will be this Saturday at 3:00 pm on S.S.N., Scharfetter Sports Network. Thank you, and good night.
