I got bored and decided to draw three uniforms for the Buechorian Kriegarmee. I thought this was more appropriate thant general or something, anyway,
Whaddya think?

Desert and jungle uniform.
The scanner must die.
Assuming the second and third are for the field, I would suggest camoflauge. Other than that, they're fine.

I'd change the hat on the third one. It's a wee bit unmilitaristic.
Maybe include a helmet instead. Cowboy hats, to my knowledge, don't deflect bullets.

Actually, they do.
Anywho....Camo on the second and third uniform would be nice.

I loved all three, especially the third. Of course, I've been known to show particular affection for the obsolescent, the lives of my soldiers be damned, so my opinion may not be the best. :)
And I thought the drawing was quite good. Certainly better than anything I could do, anyway.

I would loose the high boots on the last one. It does tend to get hot in the jungle, and something more breathable would probably be a better choice.
Of course, the Crooked army wears T-shirts and sneakers, so mabye you should take my advice with a grain of salt.

Your drawings are great, but there are a few things you should consider if these uniforms are meant for modern warfare:
1) If your combat troops are going to wear body armor, the pockets on the front of the uniform are almost useless.
2) Look at some digital camouflage patterns for ideas on the future of BDUs
3) A decent helmet!
4) Make the pockets bigger and check out this site for some excellent examples of uniforms and camouflage (and other military gear):
http://www.militarymorons.com/.
The temperate/winter uniform reminds me of the Nazis from Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Your drawings are far beyond anything I could manage, I'm still at the stick figure stage...and most modern stuff is going to be incredibly hard to draw.

ive been trying to draw my bdus and uniforms, its a good model to follow
It seems you based your stuff over Soviet army uniforms. A good idea. A couple of points.
1) If your combat troops are going to wear body armor, the pockets on the front of the uniform are almost useless.
Which is why all modern RL uniforms have 'em.
And no, camoflage is unnecessary, if the color is chosen right one-tone camo is as good. Israel doesn't use them shiny camoflage patterns and we're fine with it.

The pockets on the front are almost useless (the lower ones anyway) and the current trend seems to be a severe angle on the upper pockets so access is easier. Read after action reports that give reccomendations for uniform changes after problems troops experienced in Iraq with their new vests. You don't need camouflage, tropp survivability rates increase greatly with it (according to German studies during WWII). Also, the IDF does have a camouflage system but for urban environments camouflage doesnt really matter as there isnt a semi-uniform backround.
I would link to isayaret.com for more Israeli gear, but the site is down until Mar 21st (check it out when it comes back online).
Read the section on problems with the US Army desert uniform:

I'd advise you to lose the boots; while they look cool, high boots are a cavalry thing, where they protect your legs from getting mangled by the horse or something. On foot, boots like that are going to be hell on your troopers' feet - and when you want them to walk long distances heavily loaded, that's a Bad Thing™.
What would be ideal would be walking boots, similar to the ones used by hikers; since they carry heavy loads long distances through rough terrain, the specifications are about the same.
Also, your dress uniform seems to have shoes. This seems somewhat anachronistic to me - dress uniforms, usually, are derived to some extent from older, more ornate uniforms worn back when you needed to be able to tell people apart through clouds of gunsmoke. Since nobody's about to re-adopt cavalry, it would seem more likely if the dress uniform had the cavalry boots, and the field uniforms had proper boots. Plus, they'd probably go better with that nice grey uniform.

Ooooh. Them drawings are nice :D
Quite pretty I suppose, and considering everyone has criticised the lack of helmet and big boots, I amn't going to repeat that!
Since everyone is sle is chipping in uniform info, heres a nice website. It's not very official, but what the hell...

Basically, what I do is:
1.) Find Soviet uniforms
2.) Trace the outline of the body
3.) Then fill in the details myself with my own ideas, i.e. hats, pockets, belts, etc. Very simple to do with the right monitor.
At any rate, I'll work on the boots. On the topic of camoflauge, I discovered I have a harder time detecting a solid color than a variety of colors, digital or regular camoflauge. The black and dark brown make the person stand out among many plants and fields. Of course, that's just me.
The hat for the jungle uniform kind of said, This will make your soldiers look cool. They'll look like jungle cowboys. Pimpin' jungle cowboys.
And then I wept.
PS: I'm in Britain right now, awaiting to transfer on a flight to Berlin. w00t.

I wish I could draw like that. 2nd and 3rd are rather similar to me.
