"Jeeze, will you look at that. I don't understand this. It seems like the flesh at this part of his brain has water damage and shrapnel. But the cauterised wound...how did he die?"

His partner held up what appeared to be a broken glass.

"The explosive device was somehow inserted into the thick glass at the bottom of the cup. When he took a drink from the glass, it detonated and sent a small amount of glass into his brain. It took him the best part of an hour to die."
"So...who was he?"
"Undercover agent for the Taiwanese intelligience. He was tracking a former ROCA assasination squad leader."

The coroners had done their job well. It would be up to the intelligience services now to do their job. The body was once a person, Detective Wang of the Taipei police. It was clearly beyond the police's capability to track a former ROCA assasination squad. He had come off worst in a competition of wits and will - and paid with his life.

As the coffin that would now be his vessel until the resurection was laid into the ground, a full orchestra had been hired by the police force began playing Mozart's requiem.. It was his favourite classical piece, and he would take it with him.

From the distance, his comrades choked back tears and swore vengence, redoubling their efforts.

*Background, JUst might be a handy thing in case the assasins are looking for a place to stay.
Secretly, The Xiannese Government had slowly forgotten about their own paid Chinese mafia, which was more of an underground system of criminals.

The Red Scarves, the criminal society of Northern China traced its roots to the Japan war which acted as assasins for the government.

The Xiannese government uses it as somewhat of a mercenary security force, much of like the Sinoese Gestapo.

OOC:Yeah, that was meant for the 'Moscow Bombers' Not like the government will let you find out who was in charge of the planned assasination.

OOC: Gestapo? We have replaced the Chinese PAP with Stapapol (State Paramilitary Police), but with similar functions and more emphasis on law and order in wartime. The Stapapol also operates a covert undercover branch, like the FBI. Other than that, there's the National Militias (similar to the U.S. National Guards but also involed in rallies and propaganda).

With information relaying back to the Stapapol, LJJ, Sinoese Customs and the Chinese Civil Police; covertly, in the offices of security have declared a manhunt, although the exact identity of the assassins are still not known, the security of the Chinese people is all too important.

OOC: Is the Chinese PAP a menace? Not unless you're Falongong, of course.

OOC: The Sinoese State cares little for religion as that is an individual's private business. But missionaries must no spread any faith in the name of espionage or imperialism, nor can public broadcasts of religious doctrine be contrary to proven science (i.e. Christian fundies must STFU about about being anti-Darwinist).

^ And that's where limitation comes in. Religion is seperated from education. So Evolutionism is only taught at schools. Why can't the Christian just believe God created life, and through time, he allowed it to evolve.

OOC: That's a very modernist Christian view that fundamentalists are not willing to accept. A science teacher back in high school was a devout Christian and he believed that evolution was guided by God.

^Yeah, I mean, does God really have the time to create every single thing? WHat about the millions of species of bugs and plants? Maybe God did guide the evolution process you know?

OOC: Want the Taiwanese Christian Church to send fundie Brian Tam(aki) on a mission to Sino?

Skipping almost right to the end....

IC:

Following further investigation by the police with co-operation from the intelligience bureau, secret agents were able to confirm the identities of the criminals who had murdered the policeman - they were former special forces specialising in snipering and explosives. Under surveilance for offering their "services" for payment from less than favourable foreign regimes. The explosives expert, known as Lao, had been suspected of planting a similar ball-bearing bomb to the Moscow bombing during the civil war.

Their last known locations were Beijing, Xiaguo.

The results of the investigation were forwarded to the Russian authorities immediately.

IC:

Due to the sharing of information, the Sinoese authorities have increased security at all borders. Little do they know that these men are now inside the realm.

OOC: Thanks, Taiwan. I couldn't get around to an investigation of my own.

The Russian investigation had hit a brick wall, with their only suspect, a man named Yuri, in pieces. That was the problem with suicide bombers. They are usually lonely drifters with no past nor future to investigate. This Taiwanese bit of information finally allowed them to pierce that brick wall. Indeed, authorities did record two individuals with the description provided by the Taiwanese entering the conference, under what now seems to be fake IDs, and have dug up various connections with the dead suicide bomber. A warrant has been issued, and a full manhunt is underway. Also, since the suspects are known to work for various regimes, suspicion immediately falls on the Xiannese. They are the only government to have such a direct, vested interest with Liu's death, and Russian agents are poring over the financial records of the Taiwanese agents to find any Xiannese connections.

Torture may be illegal under the Sinoese, but as the war wore on, a video tape of interrogation of the sniper was shot, and today it was released to the public.

Only one segment was declassified, but it revealed uncanny information about the suspect's motives.

The scene begins with a man in a hospital bed, surrounded by guards. He is obviously in pain.

Interrogator: You've given us your name, now tell us your motives, a regular criminal would have picked the collection of rifles alongside that Type 79. We've got files from the ROC saying that you were a sniper, of a very special unit. Is that true?!!!

Suspect: Give me some morphine, my leg hurts.

Interrogator: You're will not get that until you answer my question. We know that you're an assassin, a gun for hire, quite a far cry from the former honor of a soldier. Mercenaries have no honor. Now tell me who are you planning to kill?

Suspect: If I tell you, your men will simply plunge a knife through my chest. Look, does that give you enough? I want the painkillers.

Interrogator (to his subordinates): Troopers, out.

Interrogator (returning to the suspect): So is there anything you want to tell me? Tell me who!

Suspect: Please don't tell me, when I tell you the truth.

Interrogator: Make it quick and I'll promise you morphine.

Suspect: Alright, it's General Liu...

Interrogator (to the doctor): Proceed.

Suspect (euphorically): That's the stuff...

As the mind numbing effects come into play, the interrogator unholsters his sidearm and points it to the suspect's left temple.

Interrogator: I think we should leave your punishment to the courts, but I have my sense of duty as an officer. Now tell me, who's paying you?! Or I'll blow your goddamn brains out!!

Supect: Xiaguo's General Lin. Me and a buddy were paid ten million.

Obviously angered, the interrogator steps back, firing three shots from the 9mm, each one missing the suspect's face by inches.

Interrogator: You maggot! I hope the morphine will give you your last peaceful sleep.

"So I'm only worth $10m?" Gen. Liu's remark to his fellow generals after viewing the tape.
