Also Sprach Zarathustra... (Sign Up and Suggestion Thread)

Five Civilized Nations

I am thinking of starting an RP based on the book Gladiator by Philip Wylie, the reported inspiration for Superman. If you haven’t read the book, Gladiator is the life story of a boy who was genetically modified by his crazy doctor father. The modification imbues him with superhuman capabilities. He’s virtually invulnerable, stronger than anything alive, and can jump very high. This RP will also be based heavily on Also Sprach Zarathustra by Friedrich Nietzsche and his story about the seclusion of a superhuman.

In my RP I hope to begin as the superhuman as he slowly secludes himself from the world after a disastrous incident involving the death of hundreds of men and women. The other people RPing would either be people investigating the incident or people living in the area where the superhuman lives.

This is pretty much open to four to five experienced roleplayers.

If anyone has any suggestions, please put them forward.

We could have this in ancient times...maybe.

Uh… That would not be good… Especially with the superstition and all… The superhuman would be like, god…

Oh wait… That’s actually a pretty good idea…

I’ll just have to change the genetic modification bit…

I'm in, if you want me. This sounds interesting. Plus, if we do like ancient times, by character's name will actually sounds normal compared to everyone's.

Sure, you’re in. I’m pretty much waiting more for suggestions than people actually signing up, so if you have any ideas, post them, please!

Have it changed by magic instead of science. Would be good if the locals are particularly superstitious and fearful of magic.

Uh... Right... Let's leave magic out of this for now... I've done too many magic RPs... X_X

Woo. I'm in. Hmm... it could be a genetic mutation, like a natural, random one. Even though those have slim chances, since we are doing it in ancient times, the standard genetic code for humans isn't stable yet, since their have been billions and billions of people in history, the probability thing isn't a factor. I am still liking this ancient time idea. I was thinking Rome during the Second Punic War. Rome wasn't big then, but there was lots of growth and things happening.

I don't know if we are doing it in ancient times. The Romans would probably be like, "Holy crap! God!! Not worthy, not worthy. Bring the sacrificial sheep!" During the second Punic War though? Or after?

No, there'd be many people who'd flip out. During.

Um... Er... Roman times... Right...

If you don't like it, s'okay, I don't get offended.

Well, the history of the Romans is concrete. I don't really want to mess with it and stick a "Heracles" into the middle of Pax Romana.

Ha, alright. Well... we could have like a small group of villages, not even a nation really, in Northern Italy before the Romans crushed it like so many other things in that time.

Hey Ravea, nice to see you joining in.

I usually don't pass up the chance to enjoy a nice RP with 5CN. Glad to see you here, too.

Haven't done much with 5CN, but from what I've seen, he does kick the collective arse.
