Hevn Mido

Balor walked up the stairs of the palace to the last room, and knocked lightly. He was a charming young man of twenty five, though he did have white hair. It was just another plague of being a psion. A psion, a special division of magic users, who was extremely advanced in the arcane arts such as Balor was highly prized. The empreror, however, did not care about spending his money on many things, even if they were uneeded. He wasn't hired to protect the nation or property. Oh, no. He was highered to protect the princess. Out of all the things a psion could be used for, he was assigned to baby sit. Now, the princess and Balor did become rather good friends. He became her confident. It was not easy for a girl to be deemed a god's wife. A god's wife, was a woman who was deemed to be the bride of a god and cast his rule upon the nation should their leader fail. The people relied on her judgement in trials and nearly everything. The emperor was a figure head, but he commanded great power in things that emperors should not be dealing with.

Balor was tall, around six four. His eyes were a light grey, and he had a rather strong frame. He placed his hand on the door nob, and turned it slowly. As he stepped in he was thrown against the wall. He raised up his arm and through the figure back. He looked at the young woman on the floor, two guns raised in his direction. She pulled the triggers and the bullet catapulted towards him. He raised his hand and a purple light shielded him from the silver bullets. That was Hevn Mido, god's wife and princess to the throne of one sector of the three united empires. She had long brown hair with bright lavender eyes. Her berry stained lips were parted slightly, breathing in as she eyed Balor. He chuckled, "You know we could be at this all day."

She stood up and dropped her hands to her side and leaned to one side. "Why can't I just get out of here Balor? I do the people no good just sitting around here waiting for Marcus to die. To tell you the truth, he won't. He just wants me here for his own amusement. Confining me to this wretched palace for the rest of my life...all so he can keep his nation." She lifted up the white strap that had fallen to her arm back to her shoulder.

"If I could help you," Balor replied, placing an arm around the girl. "I would. I truly would. But you know that we could not out run the army that this empire has."

"This sector isn't that large," she replied. "I'm sure I could out run half of them at least."

"But the empire that has been accumulating over the decades would take concern in your absense. Not to mention that Marcus---"

"Marcus? Marcus!" she scoffed. "That uncivilized fuck is containing my life within his hand."

"Oh, here we go again." he grabbed both of her arms and looked her dead in the eye. "As much as I want to leave with you, Hevn, I can't. And you know you can't either. Even as much as I..."

"You what?" she asked, raising her eyebrow.

"As I....care....about your safety." he said, and she sat down on her bed, running her fingertips over the white silk overlay.

Marcus was quite the character; long dark black hair with orange eyes. He was pale and often carried a onyx cane not used for walking. Now his eyes cast upward toward the stairs as he awaited Hevn's company to the council. The council had not been called in many decades, but issues of theology needed to be discussed, and that is why Hevn was actually needed rather than simply an object.

Marcus tapped his cane on the ground awaiting. Balor appeared first, walking in front of Hevn who wore a priestesses attire; elaborate gold jewelry and cream colored silk fabric. Her hair was done up and twisted with jewels. Her lavender eyes cast down upon Marcus, and she immediately turned away from him. Oh, how she despised him.

The council convined in the main hall of the palace. It had marble floors and one large table and forty seven chairs, two at the front for Hevn and Marcus, and one diagonally from Hevn for the residing psion, Balor. There were many issues that needed to be addressed.

The young man leapt off the bridge head first, as if he were about to dive. He pulled a string from the vest and felt the parachute eject. His whooping voice could be heard carrying throughout the valley as he looked back up at his pursuers still stuck on top of the bridge. He extended a hand to them, giving them a clear bird.

"Later!" he declared, laughing as he directed the parachute past the great waterfall and down into the abyss. On his belt, a bag hung, holding some very dear items to particular people in the government.

Just then, he pushed a button on a remote in his other hand.

The bridge exploded in a blast of searing heat and balls of fire...

How he loved to spite the government. He lived for the challenge, the danger, the adrenaline rush!

He landed upon the rocks on the banks of the river below the waterfall. He immediately released the parachute and made his way to the hill beyond the rocks. He moved quickly and pulled a whip from his belt, snapping it at the air in front of him. Instantly, a rip appeared in the fabric of reality and he leapt through. The seal closed up behind him moments later.

OOC: Although I may not be involved just yet, might I suggest my nation as a location of refuge? We always have open arms to those who are trying to avoid those who would try to control them. That is, if you don't mind half-orcs and modern tech.

He tilted his head. He knew exactly what she wanted to hear, but said nothing. The psion pulled her up and began to lead her downstairs. This time, she did not struggle. She was silent, and he knew why. She saw the emperor at the bottom of the staircase, and he felt the tension rising within her veins. He could feel her pulse quickening. She stopped in front of him, and he placed his wretched hand upon her face, and she winced.

"Such beauty," he said, admiring her features instensly. "And so much anger, Hevn. You should really lighten up. You have a kingdom in your hands." He took his hand from her, and led both Balor and Hevn into the council. Balor, who hid it well, was ready to stifle the emperor himself. How he loved Hevn.

She sat next to Marcus and Balor took his seat as various councilmen and people took their seats. Marcus stood up and began, "I'm not one to make this boring, so let's get to the point. There is a threat of greater demons on the west coast. If we give them the village of Tekhat, I feel they would be satisfied.
