The Sjwitz team is looking forward to their matches, especially the one against Sonaron. That match will be the first time the Sjwitz national team meets a team in two different tournaments after Sjwitz already played Sonaron during the last Baptism of Fire. Ofcourse they would love to repeat the result from back then, a clear 2-0 victory. Coïncidentially, that match was also the very first official match of the Sjwitz national team. On the other hand, ofcourse the matches against Jeruselem and Raptor Claw will be taken seriously as the Sjwitz team hasn't come to this tournament to let their asses be wiped... again.

Say, are we gonna have a RP thread? :)
There was no repeat of the 0-2 over Sonaron in Sjwitz' first match as the game ended in a draw this time. The excitement was there however as both teams took turns in taking the lead with the scoreline finally stopping to a halt on 3-3. Both teams will be looking for a better performance however as the defences weren't in place and were very easy to penetrate.

The scene turns to Jay and Bruce, sitting in a pub in Okerson, Legalese:
Jay: Say, Bruce, shouldn't there be a soccer match on? I can't wait to see this Cup of Harmony. It may finally be our year to win it all.
Bruce: You know, I was sure there was a match tonite. Here, let's ask Dukie.
*shouts down the bar, to where Dukie, the bartender, is taking an order* HEY, DUKIE! WHAZUP?
Dukie:*in a deep and raspy voice* WHASSSSAAAAAAAAP!!!!
*Jay and Bruce laugh*
Jay: Hey Dukie, ain't Legalese supposed to be playing tonite?
Dukie: That's what I heard, but then again, I haven't heard much about the tournament. Figures with those Belmorians. What do you guys think about their chances?
Jay: We were just talking about that. I think this is finally the year! We've been to the finals twice, the semis once, and were oh-so close to being in Cockbill Street instead. We gotta hoist that thing!
Bruce: I can't be so sure, guys. I mean, with the managerial situation, who knows what will happen? Hey Dukie, fill me up again.

Chicanada stumbles out the gate
With only half the NSWC team making the trip to The Belmore Family yesterday (today, at some time), the Kodiaks ended up with a respectable if still dissapointing 1-0 loss to the host in Group D action. National Coach Jesnui Viladetta said that with several new players, including Rookie of the Year candidate goalkeep Makri Joesphsen from North Coast, as well as Bishop FC leader Jude Westington the team is quickly mashing together to be a threat to advance. Of course, this involves the team performing better against Melmond, who "beat" the Kodiaks "7"-0 during WC qualifying as well as Legalese, but hope always springs eternal for the squad.

Raptors draw Jeruselem
Raptor Claw start Cup of Harmony good with a draw on Jeruselem. The game finish 1-1 and Raptor Claw will try to win games now to advance from the group. Jeruselem and Raptor Claw have a history from past world cup fighting for first place and then for last place in very close group and another game is done with no team being better than the other.

It has seemed so long ago, but in reality, it was only months earlier. The scene was the Legalese Soccer House, shortly after the Black and Red had been eliminated on the final matchday, again! Arthur Schram, the LAFC Executive Director, walked into Manager Robbie Heard's office for a chat. Arthur knocked on the closed door. "Robbie? Are you there?" he said. There was no response, yet the door was not locked.
Arthur turned the handle, to see his manager sitting at the desk, in a near catatonic state. "Robbie? What's up bud?"
Still no response. Robbie stared off into space.
"Robbie? C'mon bud, snap out of it." Arthur clapped his hands.
Robbie looked at Arthur. "Sorry, Artie, I didn't see you there."
Arthur frowned. "Robbie, are you okay, really?"
"Yeah, sure thing Arthur, it's no big deal. Just another loss on the final day. Just another elimination at the last opportunity." He sighed, grabbing his glass before continuing.
"I've been at this for 14 years now. Fourteen years! We didn't expect to do much our first time, and we didn't disappoint. Hell, we even beat Sarzonia! What a match that was."
"Again, not too much happened the second time out. We did what we could, got roughed up a little, then went to the Cup of Harmony. Heck, our biggest challenge was during the Great Storm, when we came so close to the trip to the Final, so CLOSE!"
"But you know, it happens. We were an outside shot then, but were in a good shape to playoff for the spot this time. And what do we do? We drop it on the final day! We just can't catch a break! just can't!"
Robbie puncuated the last statement with a snort.
Arthur surveyed the scene. "Hey Robbie, do you want some time off? We can do that for you, there's still awhile before the Cup of Harmony. If you need a month off before we start up again, it's no problem."
Robbie looked at Arthur. "T-t-t-time off? Yeah, I might want to do that..." His voice trailed off in despair.
Arthur patted him on the back. "It's okay, Robbie. Let's get the paperwork handled tomorrow, and you get a good night's sleep. I'll see you in the morning."
Arthur walked out the door. He made it to the exit of the Soccer House, when he heard the gunshot.

CUP OF HARMONY 13
Your Liamist States Times Liftout*
(*Yes, we only caught on late but that sex scandal that was no business of ours and a breach of Constitutional privacy, was too juicy to give up precious pages over.)
Tournament Overview
Unfortunately, due to a distinct lack of information and a very anti-media attitude by our hosts, The Belmore Family, it’s next to near impossible to actually find anything out about this tournament. All we know is that the Liamist States will be playing in Group 3 in a very evenly matched draw, at least for us. Our opponents will include Praying2God, ranked 51st, Kipto Mare, 56th, and Haperd, 50th. We can only assume we will be playing them all once and the top two from each group, of which there are four, will progress to some sort of knockout phase. Of course, don’t quote us on this: it’s not like we’re a media outlet or anything. Or are we?
We do know the Marmadukes will be using roughly the same starting line-up they finished the WC with, which is:
GK: Mi Rainford Jr (City de Liam)
LB: Alvaro Wiggen (East Trenport)
LCB: Thomas McQuary (Alexandra)
RCB: Hugh Killick (CDL United)
RB: Drew Vallis (Sheffield)
LM: Jackson Eaks (Alexandra)
CM: Troy Champion (Trenportsmouth)
RM: Rod Manoni (C, Mayfair)
LF: Christian Dressel (York)
CF: Armand Iziary (Canterbury)
RF: Hal Bell (CDL United)
What are our chances, we hear you ask? Well, it’s hard to say. We could either perform really well in such a close knit field or do really badly. It’s up to the football Gods. Of course, it’s pretty unlikely we’ll win the trophy but we can always hope.
Postview – Match 1: Praying2God
Final Score: Liamist States 2 – 0 Praying2God
A big sigh of relief was in order for the Marmaduke fans. They made it past the most difficult phase of the competition: the first game.
It was indeed a fine game, as the Marmadukes debuted in their first Cup of Harmony against the P2G team, who like the Marmadukes, failed to qualify for the WC proper. Hal Bell made a mockery of the P2G backline as a simple side-to-side-shimmy-and-shake utterly confused them and it was child’s play for the champion to slot it home in the nineteenth minute. While the P2G seemed to have some divine intervention, as some shots defied belief, Mi Rainford Jr was more than up to it and deflected, cleared and diffused his butt off. Armand Iziary put away his twelfth international goal to stay four ahead of Christian Dressel for second in the all time scorers for the Marmadukes. His strike came in minute eighty-four, leaving the finisher a little late, but as Iziary said after the match, “Better late than never.” Never were truer words spoken.
A good start for the Marmadukes, who were quite worried about being slammed again.
Postview – Match 2: Kipto Mare
Final Score: Liamist States 0 – 3 Kipto Mare
A full 180° (or π radians for you maths geeks) turnaround for our Marmadukes and then some, resulting in the equal biggest loss suffered by the ‘Dukes in their short history. Not a good way to attempt final qualification by losing our second of three games.
The Liamist States were simply held goalless. Not much they could do about it as the team spent most of the match fighting off shots from the KM front line. The Kiptos were relentless, except at halftime, during which they relented, but the Liamists, despite all efforts, were not allowed to play during the break. This was a clear indication of referee bias which was a theme throughout the match, which many media pundits are blaming for the poor performance on. This bias came to a head when Troy Champion was given a yellow card for the smallest of offences: headbutting a Kipto midfielder…three times…in the groin…while he was on the bench…and already injured. A pity but that’s the way the game is sometimes.
Qualification will depend on other results and come down to the final game.
Preview – Match 3: Haperd
Final Score: ?
The Marmaduke’s twentieth game and an important one as far as this tournament goes. A win would probably seal qualification (unless its only the top team, in which case we could still go through, but a big win would be required).
The Marmadukes, as ever, will play reliantly on their strong defence and wait for opportunities in which the forwards will strike and BAM! we’ll be in front. A hopeful prediction, but probably an accurate one.
We wish the Marmadukes luck and hope they can win and take us to the finals.

I’m confused.
Did we win 2-0 over Praying2God? Or did we lose 3-0 to Kipto-Mare? Or is it both?
*Reserves some RP space*
You have both it is 2 scores.
Jeruselem 1-1 Raptor Claw
Sjwitz 1-2 Raptor Claw
One is for first match the other is for second match like that.
The Raptors have won second game of the Cup of Harmony. Raptor Claw will play Sonaron in third game and if they do not lose Raptor Claw should be in the top 2 positions. Imat Arget score both goals for Raptor Claw against Sjwitz. If Jeruselem win over Sonaron then Raptor Claw will be tied for first and it would be like this.
Jeruselem 4
Raptor Claw 4
Sjwitz 1
Sonaron 1
If Jeruselem tie Sonaron then Raptor Claw is first but can lose to Sonaron and be out
Raptor Claw 4
Sonaron 2
Jeruselem 2
Sjwitz 1
Or Sonaron could win and the winner of game of Sonaron and Raptor Claw would be in first place.
Raptor Claw 4
Sonaron 4
Jeruselem 1
Sjwitz 1
Sjwitz one, Raptor Claw two. That's the way the second game for Sjwitz in the CoH ended after a bad game from the Sjwitz team. It had looked good for a while with Roman Bingk scoring the 1-0 after 65 minutes but Imat Aget managed to score two for the Raptors in the 73rd and 79th minute. During that period the Raptor team was dominating the game and there was not much the Sjwitz team could do. Sjwitz will now have to win against Jeruselem to get into the next round.
The Coaching team Schmidt and Greaves has announced that the team does not seem to be motivated for the tournament. Mostly due to personal reasons by the individual players. "During the first half there was no movement at all, the players were just not putting up any effort, when Roman scored the first goal the spirit improved a little, but as soon as Raptor came back the game was over and I just knew we were going to lose, we're lucky we didn't lose by a lot more I think', explained Schmidt. Greaves believes however that one good result might create an "upward spiral of results".

CoH XIII Results - No WC XXI hangovers yet
After being dumped out of the World Cup XXI playoffs into the Cup of Harmony 13 (yes, 13), Jeruselem aren't playing the fool.
Old dino friends Raptor Claw played Jeruselem first. It's always been even between the teams, and nothing changed much in the CoH. Both got one point, with a 1 ALL draw.
Lower ranked Sonaron were next and Jeruselem did take advantage. They scraped a 2-1 win to provide for 3 points in two games. They play Sjwitz next where they should win like their U21 counterparts did in the U21C13 (yes, 13 again).

Chicanada score a point!
Chicanada played a tough match against Legalese and was scrappy enough to ecke out a 1-1 tie, giving the Kodiaks 1 point. What this means in the scheme of the bracket is uncertain, as based on our info TBF still has 2 points and Chicanada and Legalese are tied with 1.
Hopefully we will have more information on the TBF/Melmond match and actual rankings. We expect the Kodiaks to be either in a tie for second or in third after today's action.

Zucchini on the Ascendancy After Win Against Gaian Ascendancy
Sharleston enjoyed the luxury of putting his feet up early after inspiring Giant Zucchini's romp over 10-man Gaian Ascendancy in the Cup of Harmony.
So happy boss Tolar relished the chance to take Sharleston off with half an hour remaining with his job well and truly done.
Sharleston set up Kryff's 17th minute opener with an inch-perfect lob and rattled home Giant Zucchini's third in the 55th minute.
In between Verdi volleyed his last international goal before his retirement against the Ascendancy who stood next to no chance after a 39th minute dismissal.
Shot-happy Kryff grabbed his second with six minutes to go when he blasted home a rising effort from Madorna's cross.
And there was still time for substitute Kozi to finish off Kryff's cross with two minutes left to round off a commanding display.
Only the Ascendancy keeper's first-half penalty save was a bright spot for the beleaguered Ascendancy after handling Mashev's goal-bound header earning him a red card and the Zucchinis a spot-kick.
The Ascendancy keeper saved well from Perles but his boss was still left searching for a win in the Cup of Harmony.
Tolar's men were clearly a class apart from the moment inside the first half-minute when Sharleston blazed a long-range effort over the bar from the edge of the box.
Sharleston tried another long-range effort in the 13th minute which curled not far past the Ascendancy keeper's left-hand post.
The Ascendancy might have made a difference when sent clear by Mave's misplaced header in the 17th minute but he took too much time over his shot and was dispossessed by Badenfauer.
Immediately at the other end Perles ran unchallenged into the Ascendancy box before an interception ended the danger.
Sharleston inspired the opener with a brilliant lob which found Kryff on the left side of the Ascendancy box and the Rynkanal player volleyed under the Ascendancy keeper.
The Ascendancy had half-chances from set-pieces but already the pressure was beginning to tell amongst the supporters.
The Ascendancy’s moment of madness in the 39th minute when he clearly put his hand up to stop Mashev's effort all but ended their chances of claiming some much-needed points.
The Ascendancy keeper kept the slim possibility alive by superbly blocking Perles' poor penalty before booting the Mato FC striker's rebound off the line.
Confident Kryff continued to rain shots on the Ascendancy goal in the second half as they camped in the Ascendancy half.
The Ascendancy was caught marginally offside during a rare counter-attack - but the game was over when Verdi grabbed the second in the 51st minute.
The Piemont striker found Kryff wide on the left before racing into the box to meet his cross with a bouncing volley past the Ascendancy keeper.
Just four minutes later a foul on Perles on the edge of the box gave Sharleston the chance to earn his richly-deserved place on the scoresheet.
Perles soon joined Sharleston - who had received a warm ovation from both sets of fans - back on the bench as Tolar watched his side play out the match in cruise control.
Kryff found the top of the net while substitute Kozi might have done better with a shot straight into the Ascendancy keeper's arms.
With six minutes to go the brilliant Kryff blasted home his second after the Ascendancy defence missed Madorna's cross.
The ball fell to Kryff on the left edge of the box and he slammed a rising shot across the Ascendancy keeper and into the net to wrap up Giant Zucchini's comprehensive win. Kozi tapped in for the fifth two minutes before full-time.
Final score:
Giant Zucchini - 5
Kryff (17, 82), Verdi (51), Sharleston (55), Kozi (89)
Gaian Ascendancy - 0

OOC: After TBF informed the #sport chatters that he was leaving as host, and the absence of Sonaron, Rejistania and I successfully petitioned the HSC to award us the replacement hosting duties for the CoH. As we don't have any of the results from TBF/Sonaron (notice that TBF deleted the MD 1 scores, and not everyone received any further TGs), Rejis and I are starting from scratch.
