Win on first day, somehow done without players.

Before the FLP team were even aware the competition had started, they had achieved their first victory. No confirmations on who the players who took FLP's place were as yet but the real team has now arrived and is expected to start their traditional losing ways.

Corneliu loses to Tonissia

In its first game of Football, Corneliu drops a heart breaker to Tonissia 10-7. The game ended when a game tying field goal went wide right.

FLP win again, even with players present.

FLP recorded their second win of the NS Bowl IV tournament earlier today, even with the correct players in the stadium. The fans see this as little more than a fluke, and are expecting the team to mess it up somehow.

The match was won late on, when Crile Fisher fell over the line. The fans cheered, because they didn't exactly know what else to do. They've since gained composure and have reverted to scowling.

Corneliu Drops 2nd Game

Corneliu has dropped its second straight game by the same score of 10-7 but this time to Hockey Canada.

"This is tough. We lose two in a row, it'll be hard to climb out of it. I do have faith in my team though that we can win and make the playoffs."

"Of course this loss was tough. We lost this one in OT!" Quarterback Elway stated. "We managed to tie them but they won the coin toss and they just were able to march it into field goal range and their kicker made it. We'll bounce back and we will win the next game."

"Yes ma'am, a very good team. Is there anything that you want to know?"

"Actually there is... who did we draw for the next round?"

The man looks at a piece of paper and reads from it.

"Ummmm Oliverry,Euroslavia, Fmjphoenix, Hisam, and Bryn Shander"

"A formidable group. But we shall win."

"Why do you say that ma'am?"

"You doubt my authority?"

"Sorry ma'am, it's just that we were eliminated in the 1st round last time. We think that we can go farther."

"As we can and shall."

FLP actually record large win.

In a surprise to everyone in the nation, not only did FLP win another game, but they did it in style. Defeating the sports powerhouse of Vilita was almost as much a surprise to the players as it was to the fans, and to do it by 21 points to 10 is just unthinkable.

The victory puts FLP into the next round with a 3-0 record. Many fans are still unsure as to whether there has been a mistake and it is infact meant to be 0-3. But time will tell on that issue.

The group they shall face in the second round is formidable to say the least. Containing many great Grid Iron nations this will surely be the end of FLP's cup.

(All pessimism is IC solely. Do not take it as whinging.)

Hockey Canada defeats Fmjphoenix in tight game.

it wasn't easy, but Hockey Canada continued their momentum as they beat Fmjphoenix in the 2nd round robin for their 1st game. A close 21-17 score saw Wide Reciever Brad Marx catch a touchdown to put them up 21-17 but a failed conversion attempt sealed the score for the Hockey Canadians.

Now with more games to be played, Hockey Canada will be looking for more wins against a very tough group.

FLP are fulfilling the prophecy!!! By losing.

Oh yes, that's right. Fans all over FLP are quietly proud that they were right and the team is a failure after they went down to Funny looking islands. The loss was pretty big, though somehow it was still the tightest game in the division. Getting even the 10 points required to not be humiliated proved difficult however and the team were left floundering.

In the next match they are expected to perform just as poorly. This is not quite just relief for the teams successful performance in other sports, but the people will accept victories (Or losses, as the case is.) when they come.

IC: Euroslavia Wins Bye, Drops First Game

After a stunning previous season, the team from Euroslavia achieved at winning a bye and automatically qualified for the Fourth NS Bowl; however, the team dropped its first game to Oliverry, the defending champions by a 19 point loss. The team just wasn't playing like it did in its previous season, but the head coach is drilling his players like no tomorrow.

"These men know what their potential could be, but they haven't played up to those expectations, so I'm going to get it in their head that our team is a formidable opponent, and won't go down easily. The team from Oliverry is the best team out there, and we put up a fight, but not as much as we could have. Next time we go against them, it won't be so easy."

Sarzonia on Quest for title

Took 'em long enough.

After three unsuccessful NS Bowl tournaments, the Sarzonian gridballers came into the fourth edition with a new coach and a almost completely overhauled roster in an attempt to improve things slightly.

They didn't count on dominating the group stage the way they did.

"It was a delight to watch us play gridball," Coach Dave Collins said. "We established the run, we were great with our play action and we played tight defence."

Quarterback Cody Quinn threw six touchdown passes in the three group stage games and tossed three scoring strikes in the Quest's 28-14 preliminary stage victory over Tonissia. Running back Brian Sanders rushed for over 100 yards in each of the group stage games before being held to 71 yards against Tonissia.

"We've still got a long road to go before we get where we want to be," Quinn said. "We haven't done anything yet."

Kicker Nick Novak has rarely been called on to do more than kick extra points and launch kickoffs, but Novak's 47 yard field goal against Druida gave the Quest the seven point margin of victory with 28 seconds left and Druida out of timeouts.

The Quest will face Adam Island in the second game of Group B preliminaries. The Adam Island team defeated the Quest in the first meeting between the teams during NS Bowl II. The Quest is dismissing the idea that result could be a motivator.

"That was a long time ago and we're a completely different team now than we were," Novak said.

The Vilita & Turori Sporting Inquiries and Window Art section respectfully declines the offer to simply "rename" the Tonissia team to Turori. The Turori team never once prepared nor played against Sarzonia, and should not have to continue with the falters of the obviously less talented Tonissian team.

We respectfully request the chance to compete in the tournament from the start just like everyone else, with our own rank and players, or to be removed from the cup altogether.

Euroslavia Looking to Set Things Straight

With a tough loss in the start of the Fourth Edition of the NS Bowl, the Chromas are looking to set things straight, and get back to their winning ways. There are still many things that the team needs to improve upon, mainly their defense. In the first game, one of their best defenders, Jason Markeich, fractured his left femur, putting him out for the entire season, and leaving the Chromas defense to the dogs; however, with an extra practice, as well as extending the current practices by another hour, they were able to work up an even better strategy to coordinate their playbook even more. They're all looking forward to redeeming themselves in their next match, and putting a win on the chart.

The coach was available for an interview immediately after the Chromas' last practice. He immediately sat us down, and told us the scoop in the Chromas and what's going on with this team.

"Immediately after their first match, they were an utter wreck, losing to Oliverry in such an embarrassing way. I was pretty disappointed in the way that we lost as well, but there's nothing we can do about that. All we can do is move on, and improve ourselves. Since then, we've been able to work a few new plays into our playbook, with the help of some of the newer people, and we're looking forward to trying them out in our next match. The team from last year is finally back, and we're looking to get revenge, and take the victory away from Oliverry. Third place isn't good enough for us anymore, and we certainly won't settle for second place. This is the season for these young guys, and they know it. Our mentality is stronger than it has ever been before, and we're going to show that to the rest of the NS Bowl."

Chromas Back on Pace with a win over Bryn Shander!

With their first victory of the tournament, the Chromas are back on track, according to the efforts of the team. The first three games that were scheduled for Euroslavia put them up against Oliverry, the defending NS Bowl Champions, Hisam, who is the Chromas next opponent, and currently has the best record, as well as the best offense and defense in the league, and Bryn Shander, with whom the Chromas gained their first victory over. Bryn Shander is an opponent that shouldn't be taken lightly. The entire division that the Chromas are in is extremely tough, and in order to advance to the playoffs of the NS Bowl once again, Euroslavia is going to have to play some of the best games of its existance.

Hisam 2 0 1,000 66 13

The statistics don't look good for Euroslavia, but then again, you can't judge a game by whats on a piece of paper. Just by looking at this alone, you can't see exactly what happens in a game to make the statistics that appear on this very page. The Chromas will do everything that possibly can to knock Hisam out of their first place position, but its going to be quite a task at hand.

3rd straight loss ends FLP's chances.

FLP's 3rd straight loss in the second round of the NS Bowl IV puts them thoroughly out of the competition. Adam Island were the team who dished out a humiliating defeat to the team and have prompted extreme measures for the final games.

The coach will try some experimental measures for the last games, bringing in various, completely inexperienced, players.

Eels Clinch spot in Next Round

The Turori Bowl Eels have clinched a place in the next round after going 3-1 in the first 4 matchdays. The Bowl Eels have kept up their reputation for overachieving in the bowl, despite a scare when the team showed up to their first match against Sarzonia only to find another team on the field. However, they finally got their date with Sarzonia, and 3 wins later, The Bowl Eels are looking forward to the next round.

Euroslavia Defeats Defending Champs; Head to Finals!

In its second time reaching the semi-finals, the first time which occurred last season, the team from Euroslavia gave its all to knock the defending champion Oliverry team out of the playoffs. Luckily, they were able to, through an immense amount of teamwork, as well as different strategies that were worked upon in the few practices before-hand. The next match, which will determine the best team this season is against the team from Turori, which like Euroslavia, did not finish first in their division; however, proved itself to be the better team throughout the playoffs. The Chromas are going to do whatever it takes to make Euroslavia the Champions of the Fourth Official NS Bowl, so expect an all-out performance from them.

Bowl Eels get to the final, will probably lose

----------------------The Turori Bowl Eels have won after a touchdown inside the final 2 minutes of the game broke the 3-3 deadlock that had become after each team had a field goal in the 2nd quarter. Turori will now face Euroslavia in the final, but Euroslavia is well known for their team and Turori will face an uphill battle to try and win the match. Uato Miakoala will be the player to watch for Turori, and will turn the game if Turori is to have any chance of taking home the NS Bowl IV championship.
