OOC: I know it's been done before, but I promise that it has never been done quite so well as by me. You can join in if you'd like, but I have a plan for this, so telegram me if you want to take any roles as the pirates. If you want your ship to be attacked by the pirates, your government can send all the outraged messages it wants and all will be answered accordingly by a mid-level bureaucrat. Ok, maybe it'll be more interactive than that.

IC:

While The Great Crimson fleet was parading across the galaxy, some of the
smaller transport ships had reported numerous encounters with ruthless space pirates. Some crews fought them off, and other transports wer enever heard of again. Distress calls were being sent more routinely, now from far outposts and private transport ships.

Admiral Ogana was in the headquarters of Second Fleet of the Stellar Corps, reading over the reports of these pirates and their disdainful antics. The citizens were getting worried, and therefore might not decide to travel beyond the bounds of New Sparta. Travel and transportation were very important factors of Spartan life, as the planet was not yet ready to hold all two-plus billion citizens, and travelling to small worlds or living on small galactic "houseboats."

He had to stop this piracy against his citizens and his ships. Ogana put together a task group comprised of parts of Second Fleet to be commanded by Captain Fujiwara Sumitomo. He would command the carrier Nigitsu, and the fleet would be made up of Ariake Class corvettes, Mogami Class cruisers, and one Ryuku Class intellligence ship. He hand picked his command staff, and he would be represented by at least one man on each ship, but preferably more. The plan would be to cloak ships and leave a decoy to wait for the pirates. Then the light ships would decloak and hopefully take the pirates down. If that didn't work, the carrier would be ready to decloak and release its fighters.

The Grand Fleet Admiral prepared some information for the captain and allied forces. The documents would be sent out in the next message wave to Padmasa and The Monolith Builders. Captain Sumitomo gathered all the information available on the pirates, including their propaganda, and got to reading it. He would need to know his enemy inside and out if he were to achieve the upper hand on them.
