To date, Osteco Field has only hosted local league matches due to the lack of a national baseball league, though it was built big in anticipation of such a league's formation. Indeed, Bedistan's first national baseball league is scheduled to begin playing sometime before 2074. Hampton is one of the largest cities in the nation, and will likely be home to at least one team.

Outfield Fences: 10 feet high from left field to center with 19-foot span that reaches 14 feet high at its peak in left field; 26 feet high in right field.

Opening Date: March 4, 2005

A brand new stadium with a heavily influenced old-style feel; based in Jurai’alheim, it was heavily modeled after the SBC Ballpark in San Francisco, California, Terra, the home ballpark of the Terran San Francisco Giants. The park was financed by government funds, authorized by the Lord Excellency himself, to allow citizens the most affordability, as well as allow the baseball atmosphere the citizens wanted, to be maximized, both for the team, fans, and visiting teams and their fans as well. Everything in the stadium reflects the advanced technologies that the Ascendancy has to offer, including seats that have their own holo-screens to allow for checking of players stats, or any other basic baseball information at one’s fingertips.

Primary seating is 100% open air, leveled in three major terraces and a fourth for VIP boxes and restaurant catering. The lighting system is a mirrored series of fusion powered halogen lights, allowing for clear vision at all angles of the playing field, for both players and fans. Also, a limited static shield grid allows for only a light drizzle of rain, even in a pouring rain. However the system cannot prevent lighting strikes, and is deliberate to actually increase the ‘baseball’ feel that the stadium offers for the purists. The seating also includes multiple VIP boxes for many varied activities, as well as to give player families an option in extra comfort. Several restaurants and caterer venues dot the stadium with great regularity, with the fore mentioned having even a four star rating, by Terran standards.

View from the stadium is dominated by the Palace Tree, even being over 6 kilometers away from the Tree Canopy. Mountain ranges and view of the nearby Sapphire Core Sea give all angles of fan seating something to look upon. Even the worst seating has beautiful vistas to gaze. A well integrated transit system, as well as three separate Primaryway hovercade adjuncts, allow easy access to the stadium, with them even running in the off season to allow tours and other business affairs to be conducted. Visitors can even walk on the stadium grounds with prior permission and escort.

CAG Republic Ballpark is dominated by a large, several thousand meter wide and high holo-screen, with easy capability of showing stats and game statistics, as well as requests by fans for occasional personal use, for a fee. The holo-screen is flanked by monument version of two OmniMechs the Ascendancy Tourman uses: a Timber Wolf, and a Dire Wolf. The area below the screen has a grove of trees that have sticking out of them, the team Pennant Flag and the Ascendancy Flag, flanked by other team Pennant Flags, and finally mini-flags of the combat units of the Tourman.

When the park opened, the Excellency dedicated the park to his family, along with all others in the Ascendancy. “This is for them, and stands as a place to bring the most important element in the growth and success of the Ascendancy, to a place where they can enjoy their fruits together.

This park also dedicates to the honor and sacrifice out Tourman makes every day to protect the Ascendancy from threats external. To them this park also finds honor.”

And actually I live closer to Seattle, but San Fran and Los Angeles seemed better choices. I took the former. =^^=

The Sabres play in the beautiful new baseball stadium recently built in Camor, which seats 65,000 and measures 330 feet to both poles, running to 395 feet in deep center to left-center. The right field wall is slightly curved, with right center at 370 feet. The seating is arranged in a 3-deck format, with the center deck consisting of luxury boxes and an onsite casino that has a view of the field. Deep center consists of an arrangements of flowers and shrubs, with no seats below the giant scoreboard. The bullpens for both teams are located in the center field area, well removed from the reach of any fans (though the away bullpen is quite close enough for words to reach). Both bullpens are open-air, with a few benches under an awning. Camor Stadium officials assure us that, despite appearances, both awnings are in fact the same size.
