Well ladies and gentlemen. It looks like we have a couple of interesting matchups this 1st round. First timer Daniels will get a hard time beating the home favourite Günther Bachmann. World number one, Jarenko, got an easy first match.
The biggest match this round must be between 4th ranked Gregor, and 10th ranked Beerquaffer. An interesting match indeed.
I will be back with more reports as the matches are played. Untill then we will show a rerun of the exiting final match in the Roegrow open, between Bachmann and Jarenko. Enjoy.

Bachwald Indoor Open

The qualification round turned out to be quite interesting. Six matches required another set to play to decide the winner. The results were as follows:

J. Derby (RNS) bt. T. Backwater (FLP) 6-3, 7-5, 3-6, 6-2
J. Entzkinis (ORD) bt. P. Marxintowski (LMX) 6-1, 6-4, 6-1
D. Damiels (LEN) bt C. Marxintosh (LMX) 4-6, 6-1, 7-5, 6-2
M. Sell (ESL) bt. C.Sorenson (ANA) 7-5, 7-5, 6-2
J.Grabow (ESL) bt. G. Rodeon (FLP) 6-3, 7-5, 6-3
D. King (RNS) bt. S.Oberga (DOK) 7-5, 6-2, 6-1
H. Nagauma (DOK) bt. P. Harding (RNS) 6-3, 4-6, 6-1, 6-4

J. Kabrinski (ANA) bt. G. Sewell (LMX) 6-3, 4-6, 6-3, 6-1

These results make the first round of the tournament as rounded as possible. In an interview conducted with Nagauma, Nagauma was thrilled with his 4 set victory over Harding. "I thought it was well played, especially the 2nd set and fourth sets. We both battled hard but in the end, one of us had to win and I'm just glad I managed to pull it out."

Sell swept his opponet that required an extra game to be played in both sets one and two. "Those were two sets that I wish I could play over again. I wasn't at my best during those two sets. I don't know what was wrong with me and I am just glad to move on to the 1st round of the tournament."

Bachwald Open Closed

This is Nieder Ostland news with a tragic message. Earlier today, our Grand Duchess suffered a heart attack, which she unfortunately never recovered from. Seven minutes past eleven, the Grand Duchess pasted away.
The Nieder Ostlandish government have announced four mourning days, and tomorrow at noon, three silent minuted wil be held all over Nieder Ostland to comemorate our Grand Duchess.
All sporting events have under these four days, been cancelled.
Nieder Ostland Tennis Association (NOTA) have also decided that under the current circumstances, the tournament Bachwald indoor open, can not be continued, and hope that the international tennis community may forgive and understand the decision.
All applicant fees will be repayed, and the Nieder Ostlandish government have promised to pay all the competitors and staff return tickets.

OOC:
I am terribly sorry to announce this, but i have to cancel this tournament at his time. :(
It is not what i wanted, but i just found out that i have to work late every bloody day this week, and I will be away during the weekend, til probably tuesday.
Sorry to say this, but, from now, Bachwald open is closed. I will however hold this tournament (with new applicants etc etc) on a later date,. But til then, someone else can hold another tournament.
Terribly sorry.
