Should Syskeyia leave NationStates?

Right now I'm thinking about leaving NS. As I've been banned from NSwiki for three months (which, it turns out, seems merciful, as some have called for my permabanning) and, at least from talking on #nationstates, I am reviled and hated as a religious fundamentalist fanatic. Not to mention the fact that it seems that I'm a horrendous military wanker who's got a pushover military. So I thought about just saying "I'm leaving" and quit NS for good, but then I thought I might regret that decision. What do you think?

Mate, it's the main event!

Syskeyia: Don't leave, there are much worse wankers out there than you, and the people who "revile and hate you as a religious fundamentalist" are having difficulty separating OOC from IC. Stick around, we'd all miss your familiar face!

If you want to take a haitus, I'll watch your nation for you and keep it alive in case you decide to come back.

And how exactly do you get banned from NSwiki? Isn't it just an encyclopedia?

Still don't think you should go. I do hate threads like this though, sometimes they feel like they're fishing for compliments. I suspect I'm not alone, which I'm sure goes part of the way to explaining why the poll is going the way it is going right now.

Nah, don't go. You've come this far...

I voted "yes" anyway though, mostly to mess your poll up. :p

I notice some amusing factoid... In NSwiki, you're basically incapable of respecting the general TOS, as well as the general consensus, despite being warned about it. Multiple times. Apparently, you're judging your own opinion in the wiki to be above the opinion of everyone else (Which is perfectly right. One's own opinion is always above everyone else's, otherwise it wouldn't be your opinion, would it?) AND you're trying to enforce it over everyone else (Which is stupid, given that you're not owning the wiki).

Yet, in NS, where you're having no problems whatsoever with respecting the TOS, and as such, can do pretty much whatever you want, you're asking for the opinion of others, despite your continued stay/ sudden leave being entirely your own decision?

I do find this 'a little' odd and fairly flawed... From a purely logical point of view...

Don't go, otherwise VoteEarly clones win run crazy around here.

I voted YES to break the tie.

Dude (or dudette)...do you like RPing? Do you like some of the folks you RP with around here?

If the answer is YES, then considering leaving NS is wack.

This is just a game, and a place to write with like-minded folks.

As a side note Panto, Sysk is very much his "religious fundie self" on #nationstates, and this is reflected in his RP's, but that is an aside.

Sysk, people still RP with you, you are not hated.
Yet, you seem to have gotten it into your head that, regardless of what you do, your "goodness" will bail you out, whinging constantly in an OOC thread is also a problem.
My advice: Don't leave, just be mindful that there's alot of people on this game, and when you start bitching because the RP doesn't go how you want it, don't bitch and whinge, do not see the "unkown" of the ideas of the other RPer as a threat, but an opourtunity to make an intresting and different story angle/arc.

OOC: I don't care one way or the other, but arguing about RL Catholicism and NS Catholicism and RL versus NS issues was just dumb. For everyone involved. You pack of knobs.

Trust Ilek Vaad to say that... xP No really, while I haven't seen much of you, you'd best not leave NS simply because we need a relatively equal ratio of pre-04ers to young 'uns or the post '03ers will start ganging up on the old ones - and that would mean us 03'ers and 02'ers cant bully little nations anymore!

Well, one thing I've noticed is that people who make threads about leaving never actually leave

Go figure.

Indeed.

And you should not leave. Just behave. :) You could have known that posting that stuff would have gotten you banned, and it did. Your war with the Reich is still going good, so just continue that. :) I might help you out when my world of warcraft addiction becomes less.

Well, enough pseudo-compliments for me... back to quoting you from www.evilbible.com or something.

If you like the game, stay. If you don't like the game, go. Just don't leave for the wrong reasons.

And I didn't vote, as this should be your decision, not anyone else's.

Sysk, you seem like a reasonable bloke who is a little mis-lead. Like Knootoss said, just behave. Doing things which are simply 'stupid' and 'unfair' to others are too far out of line. I cant comment on what happened, because I dont exactly follow you around, but there is a line, and I believe you are aware of where it is, and when you are crossing it. Dont cross that line, and respect the people around you. That will gain you some form of OOC respect. ICly, just play things through as they go; isnt it interesting when there is a little bump in the road?

Basically, im not saying to stay, because like Geheena said, its entirely your choice. But if your reason for leaving is as you said, you have no reason to, because everyone can make changes, and everyone can reform.

When I made my leaving thread, I left.

Granted, I did come back, but still my point stands. :p
