KSCNC - The New KSC News Co-operation Direct transmission

"God morning and welcome citizens of The New KSC, the votes have now been counted and the result is as following for the parties.

The Freedom Party: (55%-1045 mandates/seats) (goes 15% up, get 285 mandates/seats)

The military Party: (40%-760 mandates/seats) (no change)

The Conservatives: (5%-95 mandates/seats) (goes 5% back, loses 95 mandates/seats)

The Socialist Party: (0%-0 mandates/seats) (goes 10% back, loses 190 mandates/seats)

As showed by the result The Socialist Party lost all its seats and is now with out influence in the Parliament.

In other news the experts of the voting commission were shocked to learn that a nine year old was elected into Parliament. As unlikely as it may sound there are no set of rules about what age you have to be to run for a parliament seat. The Conservatives are calling for the new goverment to act and write out a new vote with age limits for running, but re-elected Vice-President Mina Alhim has denied to call for any actions and states that the parliament vote is now over.

New Goverment:

Heads of State:

Vice-President: Mina Alhim (The Freedom Party)

His emperorship Alexander Thompson I of the Alexian Empire would like to congratulate the Freedom Party on it's decisive victory in the federal elections, perticularly Mina Alhim, on winning the position of vice president, and Misty Alhim, and taking the post of prime minister, and hopes that the Empire and The New KSC will be able to continue it's favorable relations under this new power situation.

A secret Message to the HQ of the Military Party:

Despite our goverments formal posistion, we feel that The Freedom Party of the New KSC is reality not much more than a band of incopentent fools, and seriously doubts there ability to lead the nation in an inteligent, efficent and morale manner. There newfound parlimentry power saddens us.

We sincerly hope that your party and President Decaris will be able to keep these radicals under control until the public realises there mistakes.

Sincerest regards,
Emperor Thompson I

(I actually don't know anything about the political system of New KSC with the exception of the parlimentry system, and I don't really know anything about the situation there, the public opnion, or anything about the parties at all I'm afraid. So I just decided to play the present situation.

But I would be very happy to learn, if you have time to explain.)

OOC: The political system of The New KSC is only describted in its basic form on my webpage, so I will give you a little more information about it and a deeper explanation of the system.

First The Parliament:

-Basic rules for running: Be a citizen of The New KSC, no age limit.

-Basic rules for casting a vote: Be a citizen of The New KSC, age limit 14 year old.

-Basic about the members:
--Goverment: President, Vice-President and Ministers have seats but no voting rights, only the right to speak before the parliament.
--Councils: The War Council(WC, 30 Members), The Security Council(SC, 30 Members), The Representative Council(RC, 30 Members), The immunity council(IC, 10 Members). These councils' members are not elected, but have seats, are able to vote on certain topics related to their area and of course able to speak before the parliament. They number 100 members, sometimes less.
--Elected members: They number 1900 members, have the right to vote, speak, call up on goverment and council members to speak before the parliament, basic like all other parliaments in the world.

The Parties:

-The Freedom Party:
--Basic infomation: Founded by the outbreaks and former protesters against the former dictatorship in the old KSC. First formed in the early days of the formation of The New KSC. Leader of Party: Misty Alhim.
--Advance information/political views: These people are the most visionary of the parties, they have their eyes on the future and development. They have long ago abandoned the isolationistic view the other parties have.

-The military Party:
--Basic information: Founded by Military leaders in the early days of the formation of The New KSC. Leader of Party: Sarah Mczuno.
--Advance information/political views: The party still holds many military officers among its supporters, but as time has passed the military support has slowly begun to drift away. It has become a party with no set direction, it has lost the isolationistic view following the alliance with UDF and lately many of the members have become very independent of the party views. Political observers think that the party is losing its unity.

-The Conservatives:
--Basic information: Leader of Party: Isak Van Gradea.
--Advance information/political views: One of the two parties that holds on to the isolationistic view. They take their name seriously, meaning that these are conservative in their opinions.

-The Socialist Party:
--Basic information: Leader of Party: Luna Von Dentura.
--Advance information/political views: One of the two parties that holds on to the isolationistic view.

I will not go into details about the voting process.

The Goverment:

This is the most interesting part of The New KSC political system, the members have seats in the parliament but are not able to vote.

The President is voted in directly by the people, the vice president is the one who get second most votes for the position. This works for all the ministers as well.

So there for a group like The Socialist Party could be represented in the goverment, but not in the parliament.

Running for a position in the goverment is more difficult than it seems, it is not just running for it. The requirements are different for each post, but let me take the presidential position as an exsample of what I mean.

To become president you will of course need to be a citizen of The New KSC, you will have to have been in the military and achieved rank of colonel or higher and served for at least 5 years.

But there are restrictions on the 4 highest members of the goverment's duties. These are as following:
-The President represent the domestic politics and has nothing to do with foreign politics. High commander for the military forces (domestic).
-The Vice-President deals with foreign politics. High commander for the Military forces(foreign).
-The Prime Minister: Leader of the goverment, domestic politics. No military command.
-The Vice-Prime Minister: Second leader of the goverment, foreign politics. No military command.

While the President has nothing to do with foreign politics is true in the sense that the President never leaves The New KSC, but the Presidents stand point is always taken into consideration.

The New KSC's decision to join the UDF was taken by the parliament on strong advise from Vice-President Mina Alhim, while President Sarah Mczuno was more reluctant to the matter. It is custom to hear all viewpoints before a decision of this kind is taken.

I think that covers my political system, if you need more information on any points then ask, okey?

The Military Party HQ

Member of Party: "I have a message for you, Mrs. Sarah Mczuno."

Mrs. Sarah Mczuno, leader of Party: "Thanks."

Mrs. Sarah Mczuno quickly read the message from Emperor Thompson I of the Alexian Empire, she slowly smiled to herself. Miss Decaris, who had been a general and leader of a gaison in the south for the last 5 years had both the experience and the patience to handle the political games in the parliament, but that the nine year old Sarah Mitraros had been elected into the parliament was both unexperted and unfortunate. She was a member of the military party, but she did not have any political experience. She could only hope that they could rally enough support from the conservatives to outwrite a new vote.

Secret Message to Emperor Thompson I:
We are thankful for your support and I am sure that our president will do her best to keep our political line as the main political line in the parliament.
Greetings
Mrs. Sarah Mczuno

Parliament meeting and voting hall

Minister of the Interior, Mr. Per Fasalius is on the speaker podium for members of the parliament.

A Member of the Parliament(MP), The conservatives: "The recent vote must be redone with new age rules, it is rediculess to allow members under the voting age limit to enter the parliament."

Minister of the Interior, Mr. Per Fasalius: "I understand your consern, but the vote is over. As a MP you could submit a new law proposal to adjust the running laws. We have debated this topic endlessly it is time to let it rest."

Same MP: "I can't let it rest, she has just been elected member of the foreign politic's commission. They oversee all foreign relations."

Minister of the Interior, Mr. Per Fasalius: "That is the parliaments concern, not mine. The rules for that election was followed as well, right?"

Same MP: "Yes, but..."

Minister of the Interior, Mr. Per Fasalius: "Then there is nothing I can do about it. Submit you complain to the speaker of the parliament and it will be noted."

Office of the parliament presidium

Present: The Speaker of the parliament (president of the presidium), Nina Stratwood Generas (age 25). Leader of the The Freedom Party's parliament group, Nill Martras (age 40). Leader of The military Party's parliament group, Sarah Mczuno (age 35). Leader of The Conservatives' parliament group, Dennis Kenwoderas (age 55).

Nina Stratwood Generas: "I have called you three here since you are the respective leaders of your parliament groups. I want the endless discussion about Sarah Mitraros' membership of the parliament to end here and now.
Mr. Kenwoderas would you please explaine your objections."

Dennis Kenwoderas: "Of course, first off she has no political exprience, secondly she is still in school and lastly she is under the voting age."

Nina Stratwood Generas: "Mr. Kenwoderas, her political experience has nothing to do with this, all have started without any experience of sitting in the parliament when they first began, as for the objection about her still being in school would not apply either because a lot of the voters are students. That aside can I assume that your group want her removed?"

Dennis Kenwoderas: "Yes."

Nina Stratwood Generas: "Mrs. Mczuno, does you group agree?"

Sarah Mczuno: "My party is not in total agreement about it, but about half of the group agrees with her removel."

Nina Stratwood Generas: "Mr. Martras, does you group agree?"

Nill Martras: "Our offical stand is that the vote is over and she got in, so no we don't agree. She has been elected by the people and therefore she must represent them, if not we can't continue to call our country a democracy."

Nina Stratwood Generas: "Right then, it seems she will stay if it comes to a vote for her removel, but I recieved a letter just before this meeting from Sarah Mitraros, I will now read it to you."

The letter:
"Dear Speaker of the Parliament and president of the presidium, Nina Stratwood Generas.

I write to you in this dark hour of my life to ask for your help. I don't have much experience with the proposing of laws and therefore I wanted to ask you to submit a proposal on my behalf. My proposal is an appendix to the law for running to the Parliament. Now I know that they will use it against me, but it is for the best. The following is the appendix to the law.
- only people who have reached the voting age limit can run for parliament.

I hope you will submit it on my behalf to the parliament.

Sincerely Sarah Mitraros.

The door is thrown open and two military dressed officers enter

Lieutenant 1: "Speaker..."

Nina Stratwood Generas: "What the hell is this? This is a closed meeting, lieutenants!"

Lieutenant 2: "Speaker, a member of the parliament has just been attacked."

Nina Stratwood Generas: "What?.... Who?"

Lieutenant 1: "Sarah Mitraros, miss Speaker."

Nina Stratwood Generas: "Is she alright?"

Lieutenant 2: "Her condition is critical, she was hid by three gunshots, miss Speaker."

Nina Stratwood Generas: "Give her 10 bodyguards from the parliament's military security staff."

Lieutenant 1: "Yes, miss Speaker!"

Location: Military Base, known as Cobra base, location unknown.

Officer 1: "Have you hear about the parliament member?"

Officer 2: "The one who got shoot?"

Officer 1: "Yes, I heard she is pretty young."

Officer 2: "She is 9 years old."

A captain enters the room, the two officers came to attention within seconds after the door had opened.

Captain Snake: "Attention! I have just recieved word from our insider, she is concerned about a member of the parliament named Sarah Mitraros, age 9, she is in need of protection, but the doctors are still unsure of weather or not she is going to survive the attack."

Commander Cheat and captain Cat enter the room. But captain Snake does not take any notice of them.

Commander Cheat: "As the captain just said, we have been asked to protect miss Mitraros and investigate the attack, it seems that our insider is concerned about the situation and fear that the police will not investigate seriuosly enough to catch the attacker. Therefore we will have to do it. Long live the Infested Cobras(IC). Dismissed!"

Office of the military security forces and staff of the Parliament

General Commander Arianna Heatsword, leader of staff: "How the hell did that happen?"

Captain Minaro Gesera: "Well, we are not sure, yet, Sir!"

General Commander Arianna Heatsword: "What do you know of the attack?"

Captain Minaro Gesera: "Not much. The attackers came out of nowhere and with only one assigned budyguard. This is the first attack on a member of the parliament for years, isn't it?"

General Commander Arianna Heatsword: "It is and I don't want this to continue, understood?"

Captain Minaro Gesera: "Yes, Sir!"

General Commander Arianna Heatsword: "Okey, all members of parliament is to be guarded and kept under surveillance at all times, understood?"

Captain Minaro Gesera: "Yes, Sir!"

Captain Gesera leaves the room and closes the door behind him, just as the door is closed General Commander Heatsword turns around and push a button on a panal at her desk.

General Commander Heatsword: "So what do you make of this? Is it an attack from the inside or outside?"

Commander Cheat: "I must say inside but there are indications that the Military Party was involved in the attack."

General Commander Heatsword: "Killing one of their own? You must be joking!"

Commander Cheat: "I wish I were but I am not joking. I will continue my investigation, but this must be kept a secret, understood?"

General Commander Heatsword: "I understand!"

The press is gethering in a lecture hall of the university. A young woman around the age of 20 walks to the podium and starts to address the press.

Young woman: "Welcome members of the press, I have summoned you all here to give you the views of the union of student councils of the universities. As some of you might know I am Natasja Heatsword and I am the present chairman for the union of student councils. It is true that I and serevel other student council members of the universities have been quiet about the resent events, but we are still very concern about the attack on Sarah Mitraros and what significance it will have on the democratical system that we have all worked so hard to build up."
