we have had long dicussions and have dicided that we are starting the mass production of clones for militairy use and to decrease the ammount of citizens required to defend the nation. we have also started looking into a terracotta shell to be used in a bomb, in combination with minimal explosive charge and biological containaments. we are also in the ,market for some cerramie armor tecnology if any are willing to bater for some.

Sounds very interesting. The Commonwealth has also dug its nose into cloning, though no progress have made depth. We are barely scratching the surface. We send off our best wishes, fellow Cloners.

To the representation of Reken-

I have taken the time in noticing your nation only out of disgust. To clone a person just because you need a bigger army to defend your insignificant country, that many would not even bother looking at is unacceptable. Cloning people is skipping a step in the process, you see, and you act as if these clones were souless. They are human beings after all, so aren't they your citizens to? No, you'd use them as your slaves. You create more people to save another group, while they suffer and die. I'm sorry, I don't see any morality or logic in that at all. This I cannot permit.

Normally I would not waste my time, but this disturbs me greatly. I don't like people who think they can play God and decide to give life to others for the soul purpose that it be taken away. You have three days to call off this production, or I will personally take action.

[QUOTE=Rave Shentavo]To the representation of Reken-

". . .you act as if these clones were souless."

well as most cloners do i am working on changing their psyque to make them utterly loyal and almost souless for the reason of keeping a draft out of my country; and not having derserters be a concern of my force. one way they would be changed is to make them utterly fierce and blood thursty. this would not make them good citizens, yet, this would make them surperb close combat warriors. and my making them clones they would think alike making them almost one mind. so if youi wish to object to my cloning than why dont you bring it up with the other people that have cloning and not just single out a small nation that you wish to pick on.

Although a very small and quite insignificant country. Christac supports the Three United Empires in this matter and would like to pledge any support we can give to stop the development and use of clones in this inhuman and unjust manner, just because you have altered their minds does not mean that there is no soul. "...and yet, he will." thought the big man, sadly. Nations were foolish entities sometimes, and Reken was a prime example of this. Such a young world, and already their focus was on war and violence. Why did they need a "soulless" army anyways? Were the threats to them so large they could not seek a diplomatic solution? Were they unaware that there were other larger, benevolent empires ready to protect one such as this? Darius Steele, President of Gawdly, shook his head in disgust.

Foolish, foolish little people. Now they had brought the wrath of the Shentavo's down upon their heads, and if they didn't change their tune soon, they'd be singing a new one shortly.

Now...what to do? His choices were limited...

1) Join the Shentavo's to prevent this abomination from occurring.
2) Join Reken, defending their rights to sovereignity.
3) Ignore this ever happened, and go back to drinking beer.

Sighing, he grabbed another 6-pack and turned on the Sports Network.

This time, he was given a visual or the empress. She had dark auburn hair which fell over he shoulderse in loose waves. Her crimson eyes stared directly at the lens of the transmission. She seemed no more than 25 with pale soft skin and dark black robes.

"Your ignorance and complete lack of concern for a person, yes even if they are a clone they are a person, is absolutely appaling. You breed people so they can die? Really? You'll sacrifice them because somehow their lives are worth less than others. I find that very hard to consider to be rational or even remotely logical. I've lost family members to the Great Wars in the past. I fought in them. I do not regret it. I would not have some other group of people risk their lives for others. The entire empire would take up arms if I called them to because they have pride in their country. They would defend their own ground instead of sacrificing others to do it. As for your two children, I would protect them myself. Why don't you go to war one time yourself. Fight on the front lines instead of watching from your chair. I led my people, you should start leading yours."

She shifted with an unamused expression on her face, her cheeks flushed slightly.

"The clock is ticking.

Madam empress with all do respect I have been in many wars ranging back through history 500 years I have fought with many and lost many comrades that is why recently I have decided to enhance clones with our imaginary number program I do give them a choice whether they want to serve or not but I have fought beside Tusanco iin many battles I know he would do the same and he will most definately give them a choice but however they would most likely have to choose a government job. But know this me and my alllies would stand by him any day he has allies in my allies please search yourself his people would defend their country the same yours would you cannot ever keep original humans out of the loop because if you do that you're just asking for problems like in the Genetic Wars of the Federation. I beseech you to realize in these times things are very dangerous and we must improve ourselves to defend the weak and the innocent. Thank you for hearing me out.

There are some questions that need answering

1. Why create an army of souless killers unless you are preparing for something?
2. What are these clones going to do during peace time?
3. What when they grow to old to serve in the army?
4. To feed and cloth them you are going to need a large population of farmers and a large amount of money, something which I doubt you will have after spending it all on creating this clone army. How are you going to get more?
5. What happends when we all deside to create are own clones to do battle, do you realise how much more dangouras it will be then? How many of your people and my people and everyone elses peoples will die? think about it, you will end up killing more life than you could possibly save by doing this.

There is no threat with this, I have no real army and little money, but I would just like you to consider the long term effects of this action.

I pose a moral question here, on Behalf of the people of Anath, If a clone where created, and if it where put into a normal environment like any natural person, would it act as a normal person?

If you answer that it does than you are forcing your own citizens into slavery, and ultimately death.

If you say no then you believe they are no better than machinces.

I am interested in how you might responde. Please let me know your stances on this question.

I am posting this on behalf of the OMT (The Office of Manpower of Tortalesca):

We also plan to mass- produce clones. But not for military use, but for use as a working caste in dangerous or exhausting areas without spending too much of our budget for welfare costs of those workers..

Since a vast amount of our small population is active in the IT sector, we need cheap and obediant workers to feed the furnaces of industry.

Thus, we will continue our efforts in the cloning of workers.

Pale blue eyes scanned the text on the transcript. He scowled slightly as he also read the public comments made in response to the initial declaration.

"Cloning. Fools. The whole lot of them."

He handed the script back to the servant standing at attention and spoke, "Make it known that we dissuade them of their cloning, and intone this as the last question..."

He handed the servant another small piece of paper with some words handwritten on it. The servant nodded and departed quickly.

Sigrun spun his chair about and looked out of the window, at the city that surrounded the castle. His elven ears picked up the sounds of children playing happily in the streets, just outside the castle.

To the miniscule nation of Reken,

It is with disgust we read your plans on cloning. As a moral voice in the world, the United Realms of Tarlachia urge you to strongly reconsider your cloning efforts. However, unlike the Shentavos, we do recognize each sovereign nation's right to their slice of land. Thus, we urge you to not incur the wrath of the Shentavos, for they are a formiddable force in this world, and will easily, and we mean, EASILY, devastate your entire nation with hardly a small fraction of her Emperess's forces.

In regards to your cloning efforts, we find it disturbing that your nation must resort to cloning to man your armies. Are your people not loyal, patriotic to the cause? If so, they would gladly lay down their lives to defend what they live for. Perhaps you should set up a recruitment program, use patriotic means to instill the will and desire of the people. Surely there is at least a single uniting reason for your people to exist in your borders. Use it.

As a last word from our esteemed leader, Sigrun Greenwood, he would like to intone a question: If your council is made up of a coven of Elders, would it not be reasonable to suggest they form an army of vampires, training them in the arts of the Underworld?

Sincerely,
The United Realms of Tarlachia

Dratheria, Reken:

You both are small nations, and don't need to focus on an army. Gather your allies, but my position will not change. Outnumber me, and I will not move. This is a position I am very strong for. My empire is readying to go to war unless you stop this autrosity. You have been fairly warned. In two days time, if this matter hasn't been resolved, I have no problem in taking your rulers out personally, and seizing control of your nations where civil and political rights are high. With our economy, there is very little chance of you putting up much of a resistance to my army.

Tarlachia:

Sigrun, i see you have taken interest as well. They are fools. one army is enough for them, but with combined powers it will be all too easy. You know what I am, so you know why I am taking such an active stand on this. Same soul, different body. I am a person, among other things which you know as well. If we do go to war, save the leader of Reken for me. I will take him out for a 'drink'. You should come to the mansion again, Sigrun. Perhaps for a little chat. Dear Mr Haymer,

We, the people of Tortalesca do accept your statement and your position towards cloning.

However, be aware that our intended workers are indeed machines... born to work, living to work, and maybe dying to work. Think of them of organic robots.

I may quote our overseas project leader on this topic:
"You are probably feeling sorry for the clone. This is because you are crazy. It is a robot, a machine. It has no feelings".

Our intended clones are not human. They have no feelings whatsoever. We are currently developing rather interesting methods of psychoindoctrination and are willing to use them on the first series of clones.

Who knows, maybe we'll export them in the future. Who knows, maybe we'll produce models for other work no one else wants to do.

Our OEIT (The Office for Export and Import of Tortalesca) is currently working on a worldwide distribution strategy for types x001 to x003 (x001: industry workers, x002: "adult entertainment" model", x003: military multi-purpose). Might i suggest putting your money towards robots instead.

The nation of Christac has been quite sucessful in the feild of robotics, one such product was involved in the Religiopia war, you might know it as the Robotic Guard XXX342. Although there are some weaknesses I admit with this technology, such as the EMP effect, we are sure that a nation like yours would be able to look into and cure this problem. But I will stand by my beleif that your "clones" have souls, and should have the same rights.

Far above world, beyond the clouds and light blue atmosphere, Iuthian reconnaissance satellites were passing over the majority of nationstates on Earth. Iuthia's satellite network was very extensive with at least one bird passing over any nation once a day, if not much more often. Iuthian intelligence gathering depended in part on this network to confirm movements and watch events in the closest thing to real time. When something looked like it was going to kick off at any moment, spare space resources would be sent for addition coverage of the situation... and this was one of those situations.

Iuthia had never really viewed Rave Shentavo's military capabilities in action and observing such an incident would be educational for Iuthia's top brass. The situation itself, some moral issue about the rights of clones, didn't interest Iuthian officials so much, yeah, Iuthia officially condemned such actions though the soveriegnity of a nation's government came first in such situations, the accepted fact was that Iuthia had no authority over another nations laws and wouldn't enforce it's will on other nations unless it was a threat to Iuthia directly. This simply didn't warrent any real action from the Benevolent Dictatorship.

However, it did provide an interesting opportunity to learn more about the Vampire Nations preferences and military capability, a useful glimmer into how their society thought would be interesting for analysts to concider.

With minor alterations to their courses, several reconnaissance satellites, free of prior assignments, changed their paths to better view the situation from all angle, if the situation warrented it, some assets would be sent for surface observation... though it was unlikely that would be needed.

He sat down once more. He waved a hand toward the wall, where an image formed. It showed a visual of Tarlachian troops preparing as well.

"As you can see, we've been a little busy ourselves... we've got the Raxhun warriors preparing to leave in cooperation with the elves. The draconians have been gathering, they will leave upon my command. Sasha, my counselor of the Underworld Cities, has been gathering the moonwalkers(vampires) to force as well. We will also be bringing in one of our secret projects, which we've been creating in cooperation with The Outer Heaven MK II. A fearsome weapon, if I must add..."

I must inform you all that creating vampiric armies is the same if not worse than what we do with cloning. Forcing your people to become Vampiric is far worse because it is a curse that would be very hard to live with. Examine and scrutinize yourselves before you scrutinize others.

to Dratheria:

My nation isn't vampiric. it would just by myself actually. Cheers.
-Ravelyn Shentavo

to tarl:

I don't plan on sending my entire army in if not necessary. To tell you the truth I just want to assasinate the leader and watch the nation crumble. We should annex it and divey it up. She smiled softly, exposing her fangs without care.

No leader, no clones can be made. And i am asuming he is human, so I say, let the wolf loose amongst the sheep.

He waved the image away, "Mostly I'm doing a show of force. If they actually commit actions of war, then I will engage. And my attack will be swift, as I'll only need to send a few divisions to clean up."

He thought about the analogy of the humans to sheep. He smiled, "I remember those days...I almost miss them too..."

"How quaint." she said. "Dratheria says he will not fall to vampires, and has declared war. Pathetic and irgnorant fools. How stupid do you have to be...." She shook her head, and laughed.

"I'm too lazy to bother with them, but since we are now at war, let's just annex them both. they are wasting my time."

And prepare the 'triumph weapon' set it to destroy their region only deploy it if they choose to attack. Oh and ready the nanite weapons lets see how well their armies function for their purposes under our control. "You mean they actually WISH to wage war?! OVER CLONING?!"

He leaned forward and smiled, "Let's have a little fun spanking these children..."

He pulled a notepad from her desk and picked up a pen. He wrote down the names of the nations:

Pro-cloning
Reken
Dratheria

Support Nations:

Anti-cloning
Ravelyn Shentavo
Tarlachia
Tanara

Support nations:

Sigrun looked the list over and burst out laughing. "They really must be stupid..."

President Jones looked at her allies as their representatives sat back from the conference table. They had agreed unanimously that they would send forces to stand along side Tarlachia and Rave Shentavo, should such help be desired.

Turning to the Last Deadly Sin of Cats Keep Michiko raised an enquireing eyebrow and the Lady of Cats Keep nodded. A small starstone, shimmering crystal, silver, blue, and gold rose from the table before the auburn haired woman and floated before her at eye level.

Michiko took a deep breath and began to speak

"Unto the leaders of Tarlachia and Rave Shentavo. I am the President of Tanara, and about this table you see my allies, those nations on Midgard and allies elsewhere in space...and time. I am speaking as official representative for over thirty nations. Each of them has agreed that your stance on the nation of Reken's stance on cloning is morally and ethically correct. We are all willing to send military and financial support to add weight to our philosophical support.

This stone will, at your desire, record your response."

Michiko knew that the starstone, a psionic crystal would record a holographic image of her and her allies and project it to those who would recieve it. Once she finished speaking she watched the Last Deadly Sin of Cats Keep waft the stone into a puddle of shadow, and it vanish from sight.

It appeared before the Lady Ravelyn as she moved to follow Sigrun.

Back on Midgard those asembled departed each to ready their forces, should they be needed.

Quick footsteps pass through the castle, heading toward the rarely used war room council. Inside the war council had already assembled, waiting for Sigrun to arrive. However, the appearance of Ravelyn Shentavo surprised them, but they welcomed her as well.

"All right...who's got the stats on these situation?"

"Sir...between Reken and Dratheria combined, assuming they were to mobilize their entire population, which is frankly impossible and stupid...we're looking at 52 million enemy troops, 26 million for each."

Sigrun nearly died laughing, as did the rest of the council. Finally, he raised a hand, still chuckling, "And for our side?"

Definition of Godmoding
1) Saying what happens to other people's stuff.
2) Refusing to take any losses. Or lose. Ever.
3) Having übertech armies that are too large, etc.
4) Having your nation’s geography to your extreme advantage.

OOC: I would really suggest that you read this thread (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=367578) Dratheria, it's clear that you've never played in a freeform RP before and it's probably a little unfair to have gotten to this stage in the first place, but then again some things tend to provoke nations into a war situation... if you want to be respected as a RPer you're going to need to learn that making invincible shields and so on isn't going to earn any respect.

Meanwhile, I think there is a bit of a problem here with everyone not understanding much about one anothers nations, like if there are even on Earth or not... if you are serious about this war you need to sort things out.
Einhauser

Einhauser has noted your want for Cermite armor, and we can provide. It is simply a matter of importing the armor from our suppliers in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Please note that the armor would have to be worked on extensivly, as they are meant for the 2 meter tall space marines, and not for normal men. The armor is FT, by the way. Contact me if interested, and ill quote you a price.

As for my stance on clonning, I fell that it is a viable source of manpower, but the clones must have only limited inteligence, to prevent rebelion. Einhauser preffers robots, over clones.

"We have observed through our intercept crews, your determination to deploy the MIDAS barrier. In concurrence with the war council, we have agreed on the following:

1) Any deployment of the MIDAS system is a direct breach of another nation's territorial sovereignty, and will not be tolerated.
2)The deployment of the MIDAS system is also in violation of good ethical standards, and will be seen as an attempt for mass genocide.

We have decided that should you decide, we the United Realms of Tarlachia will gladly sit down to discuss this matter over a cup of java. I just want to be left in peace the shield isn't invincible but I shall not tell its weaknesses the array sends it a signal to create the barrier using M.I.D.A.S. radiation. OOC: First of all, you need to provide us details of your "imaginary" honky-tonks. We're not psychic, we can't read your mind. Second of all.
Secondly, you established a "holy seal". That's all great and good, but have you considered that normal attacks, (theoretically speaking) are usable? (ie: Knife, gun, whatever). Heck, a normal attack using holistic attacks would be permitted as well. Keep in mind that Ravelyn is a seraphim vampire. That leaves very little able to stop her. You have also stated that the abilities are only restricted to attack. What about defense? If your guy throws a knife at me, would I not be allowed to enact a defense shield that bounces your knife away, perhaps even back at you?
Thirdly, we have already established that this was to be a neutral location, so why the army in tow? Do note we bring only ourselves.
Fourthly, could you at least TRY to make more of a quality posting? It's not that hard to spend that extra few minutes to do your posts...

President Calis browsed the international message board of world leaders with little interest. It was always the same old crap, 'I declare this...', 'you are wrong, I'm invading you...'. Finally he came across a message entitled Cloning. Since Assington employed a sizable cloning industry, Calis decided to examine the message.

After several minutes of reading through the garble and tough talk, Calis grinned. It seemed some small nations wanted to play with the big boys. Noting Tarlachia, long time ally seemed to be under threat from vessels named Cubes, Calis decided it prudent to help out his ally. Especially since he hadn't come into contact with the new leader of Tarlachia and this would present a good chance to show he still valued the alliance.

To: Lord Sigrun Greenwood
From: President Calis

Lord Sigrun, first of all let me congratulate you upon your rise to power within Tarlachia. I don't know if you are aware of my nation, but Assington has been a long time ally of Tarlachia and I see no reason why that should change. He stepped forward and reached his hand out to touch Kazar's temple with two fingers. Kazar stiffened but did not otherwise react as Sigrun closed his eyes.

At first the images were blurry, but slowly focused as the memories passed before Kazar's eyes.

"Your destiny is unfulfilled"...

The face of Ravelyn Shentavo smiling as a blue orb hovered before her. Her voice spoke, "All right."

A single figure is seen lying upon a pale stone outcropping, the dawn appearing over the ridge casting its first rays upon the nude figure. He shifted in his position and sat up to look at the dawn. He smiled. Yet, because of the distance, he is unidentifiable.

The same figure is seen cloaked in elven garments, the hood held low over the face. He speaks, a sneering voice nearly laughing, "Damien Black. You have failed..."

Brief flashes of Sigrun are seen as he meets with old friends and reveals his identity to them. Shock and joy can be seen on their faces.

Sigrun is seen standing in a Coliseum of sorts, a new sword in hand and battling demonic forces that surge forth from an Inchion Gate
[located in Tarlachia. See The Sands of Time thread for more detail (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=388959&page=1&pp=15)

Sigrun is seen during the coronation, as he turns to the crowds to recieve a rousing applause. The golden age of Tarlachia had begun...

Sigrun released the fingers, breaking off the surging memories. He smiled and nodded.

"Yes. It's me." he spoke, and finally pulled his old friend close in a brotherly hug, "And it's damn good to see you again, Kazar!"

He broke apart, "However...you've arrived at a summit between a few nations who have been committing atrocious acts of cloning that Ravelyn and I have felt the urge to declare foul and persuade them to eliminate their programs, either voluntarily or by force. For now, we are attempting this through diplomatic means..."

For a moment, Kazar was too stunned to move - not to mention speak. Then:
"Maximus!" His grin was hidden by the shadows of his hood, but the delight in his voice was clear as he hugged his old friend.
"It's wonderful to see you again! I cannot remember the last time I felt as I did when you said you had been killed. I should have known you wouldn't let anyone get the better of you!
As for the business of this meeting, I am aware of it..."

He turned to President Mercer.

"This is not the first time I have encountered a group trying to create a race of slaves. I doubt the ash has yet washed from the place where the capital city of the last such group once stood, though all record of their empire is now lost in the mists of time.

I would strongly advise you to do your best to find a diplomatic solution..."

Saerat Helmz, standing next to his tent, part of a makeshift camp set up, takes his sword and throws it tip first into the grass next to him. It holds itself up in the cold ground.

"John!" He shouts.

John runs up to him, a laptop under one arm and a small arial under the other, he stops infront of Saerat and sets up the equipment on the ground beneath him.

Saerat sits down, and shivers "this is going to be tough" he says to himself.

He catches the attension of April, his war cheif as she walks by, "April!" Saerat shouts. After stopping in her tracks, Saerat talks calmly

"Make sure the troops are ready, and make sure they know exactly what they are up against"

April nods "yes sir" she said, a look of shock and anxeity in her eyes, she knew was coming.

Saerat returns to what he is doing, he opens the laptop screen and logs on...

He notices the new messages posted sinse last night, "April!" He shouts after her "forget those orders, we hold!"

He had noticed the posts on the peace talks, he goes back to the laptop and types;

"My small but commited army have arrived at the borders of Reken, we are holding here, I hope that the peace talks work, I am fully aware that I am going to get my ass kicked if not

The pur of jump jet engines could be heard from inside the summit building as a large black aircraft made a vertical landing upon the grass outside. The jet obviously worked on a similar pinciple to that of the Harrier but otherwise it was a completely different aircraft. The sombre shade of black and plentiful angles made it quite the sinister craft indeed, and yet it was mere a transport.

Once the aircraft touched down, a lone figure stepped out of the jet and straightened his clothes. He wore a collared shirt, no tie, long pants and a completely out of place trench coat. It was an odd choice of clothing, yet Calin had never been a man of fashion. He may of enjoyed the finer things of life, but whenever the situation didn't dictate a specific dress code, he merely grabbed whatever was handy.

Sun glasses hiding calculating eyes, Calin moved towards the entrance of the summit building with a well earned confidence. He had participated in hundreds of negotiations and had earned his title of Foreign Minister. The fact that he prefered to attend such functions rather than send some delegate was one of the reasons he was a respected minister.

Upon entering the building, Calin gave a nod to all those within the room, flashing a quick grin.

"Greetings. I'll be the representative of Assington. Sorry Calis couldn't make it, but he's got other... issues to deal with. By the way, the name is Calin, brother to the President and Foreign Minister."

Without another word, Calin took a seet next to Sigrun and flashed him a grin.

-Ravelyn Shentavo Vaughn,
Empress of the Three United Empires
Head of the Enclave

It is puzzeling to me Shentavo to why you feel threatened by this. Has Reken shown any aggressiveness towards you? Has he threatened to use his clones to attack you or in some way inflict death upon your people? I believe not. I myself have an army of some 27,000,000 clones. What are you going to do about that? I built them for similiar purposes and reasons to Reken's. If you condem clones then why not condem those who use battle droids, and dont say that its different because its not. A Clone or a Droid, each is made for combat and each will carry out its orders to the letter because it was either trained or programmed to do so. Your arguement and anger is hollow. Ad in the end it is not up to you to order another country to stop its internal activities. Only the United Nations could do such, with plausible reason. And I seem to remember several UN members who have or use clone armies or droid armies. It saves your citizens, though I still use mine for my fleets. So I would suggest that unless you are going to follow through with your threats of invasion on pretext of a few clones...that you kindly leave Reken alone.

I'll go first....FREAKING DUDE IS A GOD MODDER!!!!! (Clears throat) thanyou.

Less than six hours after the first announcement of Reken cloning hit the air waves, two small fire-teams appeared, one on Reken and the other on Dratheria. Using the mystic time-whorls for transport made it impossible for them to be detected, or stopped. They used this same technology to flit across the planet, a door opening precisely where they needed it to be. In each stop, they introduced an eldritch-techno virus into the air. The virus had numerous purposes, the first being a simple one.

It entered into the M.I.D.A.S datastream, and corrupted it slightly. The system would seem to be functional, but if anyone attempted to activate it, it would simply make a large farting noise. The virus was also biological, designed to infect clones and humans. In the clones, the virus would mutate, imparting the clones with advanced intelligence and an angry hard-on for their creators. In humans, the virus caused severe itching, flatulence and a total loss of any good sense the people posessed. The last part of the virus was chemical, causing plastics and metals to quickly lose their molecular cohesiveness, and fall to pieces.

ok ok i admit that clones have souls and if you wish to know why i had started producing them is because i know that some big country would give me crap about somthing rather stupid and start a war so i wanted to be prepared to defend my 'little" country and the reason i use clones is that they are all copies of each other, so thay would think alike and have the same consclusion of each battle plan that is presented to them.
for the thing about having them as normal citizens i have to say that if you had 5 of the same person in a town can anyone understand how chaotic and sucidal that would make them knowing that they dont matter for there is more of them and that they are just a copy; with my cloning i make it so they dont have these questions and that they are always under helms so they have no reason to discover that they are just a clone.
as to the whole religon thing; most of their day is ethier spent in battle training or deep in meditation and prayer to keep their minds focosed to they wont get the idea of being a clone even crossing their mind. if they would have a question of their parents or their origin or their reason i would bring the origonal person the clone was created from to them and introduce him as a father figure.
most of the clones will not even see battle unless you follow through on your threat (wich i have no doubt you will) and they will work and be paid to do the jobs of construction and possiably the more dangerous jobs that most people witsh not to do.
so if you have any more questions about my clones than please feel free to address me again on the matter, or on any other problem that you might have with my country.

General Noriev stood next to his command APC and taking a look around with his binoculars.

"It's disgusting. They call themselves democracies, and they say that they value life above anything else, and still they are trying to wage war on us."

"It's clear that this is a serious matter, General", Colonel Chugash responded. "They are planning to invade our country."

"Are you ready, Gentlemen?" the general asked with a wolfish grin.

"The first, second, third and fourth Guard Tank Divisions are ready, sir."
"Reporting Infantry Divisions 128 to 174 ready for battle, general."
"Sapper divisions are done with entrenching and blockade work and are standing by, sir."
"Artillery ready, general, sir."
"Air Force reports: Guard Squadrons 1 to 9 are ready to go up anytime, sir. Bombers are operational, Recon planes patrolling. As er your order, they are keeping within our borders."
"Air cavalry and attack helicopters are on stand by, general".

"Good. We don't want to get blamed on this one, do we?" the general said to his subordinates, and turned to a pale figure in black fatigues.

"Commander, how's your status?"

"We are ready, general. We got 5.000 purestrain clones standing by."

"Good. How're they?"

"Fresh from the facilities, sir. But we taught them well, and as I said, they're ready."

The tank colonel looked upon the clone's commander with disgust "You talk of them as if they were machines..."

The clone commander grinned coldly "But we ARE, colonel. Don't cry over one of us that has fallen. Better mourn every man of yours who died. We can be replaced and brought to full operation in less than three weeks. Can your men do that?"

"No, but you send them into the battle..."

".. without remorse, without regret. Our biggest advantage is that we have no homes to fight for. No dear ones at home that cloud our minds. We are born to fight, to protect Tortalesca. If it means our death, we agree. If we survive to protect Tortalesca another time, we agree, too. We simply don't matter to us."

"Gentlemen", the general said, "I know you've been through many battles. You have seen your share of bloodshed and death. I also know that you do not wish to see such things again. But there are predators out there, gentlemen. They wish to usurp us in the cause of a "greater good". Let them come, I'll say."

The general's vox link cracked into life.

"This is Sanctuary. Reporting full operational on all Sparda missiles. If they get too far, we'll bomb them to their ancestors."

The general grinned again in acknowlegdgement. "Roger that, Sanctuary."

"You'll use nuclear weapons, sir?" the air force colonel asked.

"Tactical nukes, colonel. Not enough to wield mass destruction, but enough to flatten an enemy battallion or two. Remember, we are a definsive army. We will never- I say NEVER- use any means of force on any country. But if they attack us, and invade our country, they will suffer severe punishment.", the clone commander said.

"Enough, gentlemen", the general said. He opened a vox link to each man and woman in the armed forces on a mass broadcast.

"Brothers and sisters, citizens of Tortalesca. The enemies are preparing to advance on us. This is it. A sword- day, a red day. Fight for your homes, fight for everything you hold in dear memory. For Tortalesca!"

The vox boomed "While it still lives!" in response, so hard one of the speakers of the vox sets simply cracked and died out.

"Mr. Oshkenti, prepare a message to those warmongers out there."

"Yes, sir."

Around thirty minutes later, diplomatical dispatches were going out to the leaders of Dratheria and Reken:
We are with you in your struggle. Let's ride for our rights and our countries' freedom.

Be aware, that the armies of Tortalesca will not take part in any military operations that extend beyond your original borders. If you plan to use us in a campaign to widen your influence over your borders, we will not comply.

Yours,
The people of Tortalesca

Christac, Tanara and all the other countries of the "alliance against cloning" received another message:
To those willing to attack us:

Be aware that you will suffer. Not only at our hands, but at the hands of history. Give up your unjust cause and return to your countries. We have no quarrel with you and your people.

Tortalesca will not wage war on you unless you cross the border. Note that. Our goal is not war, but the safety of all people.

Leave our borders, or face the consequences. Do not tamper with us.

Yours,
The people of Tortalesca

After dismissing the diplomatical scribe, the general put on his cap, brim-first, and turned to his subordinates.

"Good fight, gentlemen. I wish to see you in the Palace of the Party after this, to celebrate our victory."

The officers saluted in response, climbed into their vehicles and roared off into the distance.

"Yes, Wasilij. And they got a big advantage over human prostitutes... no more sexually transmitted diseases!"

I'm just going to say one thing - spirit of the law versus the letter of the law, and some one who is indoctrinated, brainwashed etc can not be said to be 'capable of making their own decisions' -

"We've gotten a few reports of Tortalesca greatly moving their military forces into position. They have issued delcarations, which have been intercepted by our boys, declaring that they will defend the nation of Reken. However, I'd like to show you this sir."

A moment later a screen popped up. Sigrun looked at it and smiled slightly. He slid the device to the center of the table and pushed a button. Moments later a hologram of the screen was seen.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to present to you our preliminary statistics if this entire situation were to escalate to war. I advise you to look at these figures carefully, as they are quite necessary to understand what is going on here, and what is at risk.

"As you can see, even with the three of you together, you are easily dwarfed by the forces of a single one of us. Therefore, I urge you to not be foolhardy and take the less violent path of politics."

Sigrun paused for a brief moment, collecting his thoughts.

"You are outnumbered, outsourced, and face no hope of winning. Your side has only 1, 280, 000 troops at best...whereas, ours has over 420 million troops at our disposal. A single one of us can dwarf the three of you combined. Therefore, common sense would tell one to sit down and talk."

He pulled the comms unit back to himself and closed it. It disappeared from view.

"Here's the deal, now that we're all here. We want you to completely cease and destroy any and all research, experiments, and productions in regards to your cloning. In return, we will allow you to continue to rule your nation in your own sovereign right. You will be offered trade by Tarlachia at the least, however, I cannot speak for my allies. Back at the Reken border...

Saerat stands and paces with those most loyal to him sitting round, he is growing tired of the waiting but he knows that it is worth it for peace.

After a while he splirts out "What is going on!!"

John, holding a laptop replies "nothing new sir, the talks are still going on"

"GRR... How the hell are we meant to find out what is going on out there...?" Saerat shouts back.

"Wait these peace talks, were we invited?"

"Not that I can see of" says John, with a look of shock.

"Your telling me that they are discussing clones and souls and did not invite the deeply religios country of Christac" Saerat shouted.

"John, E Mail Hazel, our head priestess, find a way of getting her into the peace talks, in times like this, faith can move mountians. I don't know how to get her there, just do it"

Miles and miles away...

The peace talks are well underway when the door burts open. A woman wearing a long gown wielding a large bible, walks by the leaders of some of the greatest nations of the world and sits down on an empty seat without uttering a word, she then puts her two hands together and mutters a silent prayer. After this she looks up at the people there, some heads turn to stare at her, but many are too buisy arguing to notice.

"these are dark days when people sit here arguing over the right to play God" She muttered to herself.

anyways i think that this incursion is barbaric and if you wish to have a war than we should gather all the nations that have or do not have clones/ battle droids in commission of the millitairy force and than weigh the scales again. also you must also look not only at the man power of the nations currently invloves be also the current weaponry that the countries have.
yes i agree that the claims made by dratheria are unrealistic and ultimatly unpossiable yest you must also realize that if you destroy and disembowel the small nations that you are planning too it will most likly arrise the same topic in the U.N. and than all that will happen is that the U.N. will be divided between cloners and those agunst it so if you would let me and my comrads be than you would see that my clones done "sacrafice" their lives and instead they devout their lives to protecting the country. these same clones also are some of the most reljous people i have ever met they pray before every battle for not only for themselves but also for their brotheren and their armor and their weapons that they may be true to the cause and withhold in the defence of the barren lands of reken, or their blood be spilt in the attempt to. this is not a thing trained into their mind yet they see the danger of their home world and they stand and voulnteer and request to be stationed in any place where they may be needed.

"I don't know sir, but if they start firing, you know that it will probably be the end of us, and possibly the end of Christac. Why are we here?"

Saerat continues staring at the boat

"Then we will be safe?" asks April

"I am Shalamar, Lady of Cats Keep and I might be of service. So lets cut to the chase - no more posturing, no more testosterone powered one upmanship. Cloneing people to be mindless, brainwashed, or indoctrinated slaves is wrong, and won't be tolerated. And I think it is the freedom of choice, self determination, in other words - slavery - that is the core, the root, of this current problem.

Shalamar gave the clone woman a sharp look

"There are ways of ascertaining the truth. I have gifts that will show all those asembled here if you lie - and yes I understand the nuances of lie and truth. "this maybe so, but you Arkor, as a man of the cloth have to realise that these lost people who are being "re made" are not going to be the same as the people lost. Those lost in the techno virus have now met their Lord, nothing you can do will be able to bring those people back, their souls are already waiting in heaven. You bringing back these "clones" do nothing more than defy God and his designs, and allow yourself to give the gift of life. How can you see nothing wrong with this?"

She then turned to Lucricia, this was going to be tough.

"Listen, I am sorry, I know that you have every right to live on this planet as I do, you are a living breathing human like myself and the last thing I want is to remove any life, but those not yet cloned or "re placed" are not living. It is simple; you live and then you die, it should not go the other way round. I respect that you are now alive, but realise that you are also dead"

She thought to herself, was this too blunt? The last thing she wanted was to make an enemy, but she would not refused what she beleived.

I know this because I knew many who were "cloned" and they aren't anywhere near the same as the originals. Lucricia is alive and has a soul how could you hurt such a kind person by saying that. They weren't cloned they were "cloned" new embryos born out of Dratherian wombs. Let me ask you a question. What makes a man a man? Is it his origins? The way he comes to life? I don’t think so. It’s the choices he makes. Not how he starts things… but how he decides to end them."

Hazel pondered this thought, she did agree, these people did have their own souls, and were now just other human beings, but she disagreed with the process of cloning, it was defying Gods perfect system.

She looked at the floor then held her cross again.

"I am afraid that we disagree here, and there is no way that I can change my veiw, I beleive that Lucricia here will be welcomed in heaven as will anyone who follows the right path, but that does not mean that she has a "right to exist". Surely only the Lord can give us the right to exist."

This was the best she could come up with, she knew that Christac's army was a stonesthow away from war, and that by failing this argument she would be failing those people who she loved the most. She was right about one thing, this man was prooving to be a deadly foe on the debating side

As for the Imaginary Numbers they aren't clones but rather genetically enhanced beings. But why side with either of us they are guilty of turning a large portion of their people into moonwalkers, vampyre, a dark being. Although he was greatly outnumbered he somehow felt safe. As he walked in the captian stood and saluted. Saerat saluted back.

"The rader is flashing like a damn slots machine sir" Replied the captain "those harlets are ammasing what looks like every ship in their navy, and thats not all, if our scans are correct we are looking at subs and nukes here as well"

"How long till they are in firing range?" asked Saerat

"Sir, we have both been in firing range of eachother for hours now, when that red light goes off and the siren blows, all the ships in this damn place go up!"

Saerat stood there looking at the very faces of the men he had probably sent to death.

And the logistics of these armies? 800 million? I don't care if you you have clones/robots, a nation of that size cannot support an army of 800 million.

That will do for now...

IC: Calin sat back and listened to the heated negotiations. He knew exactly what Calis wanted and thought it best not to mention the cloning activities that take place in Assington, as his allies seemed to be quite against it.

Leaning forward, Calin took off his sun glasses and looked around the table.

"Let me make the position of Assington clear to all of you. We have no qualms with your cloning activities. As far as we are concerned, it's your nation, your sovreign and none of our business. This talk of souls doesn't mean anything to us either. What we are concerned about is any military action against our main ally here, Tarlachia. I'm not exactly sure what's going on out there with military movements, but we're not about to get in the fray over some moral debate."

Satisfied with his speech, Calin replaced his sun glasses and rested back in his seat.

suddenly a green flash appered at the summet table as a borg queen entered the room. She took a seat.

"I am a representative from the borg collective of BLACKGRUE. I have been informed of this meeting and on behalf of the collective I must say that your entire line of thinking is wholly wrong. More then four fifths of our nation is either cloned or constructed by partially using cloned material. The fact also remains that we are NOT speciallised in almost any way other then our queens."

Another green flash as a borg drone appeared

"This drone was taken from engeneering duties on my starship currently in orbit and it is more then capible of seving as a military member. Observe."

The drone fired a plasma bolt from it's omnitool onto the wall behind the queen leaving a rather nasty looking hole.

He looked up and burst out laughing.

"Great! Jukeboxes have the ability to walk now! Now that's what I call patriotic inquisitiveness!"

For the first time in a while Hazel looked up at the others in the meeting room, "What the hell" she thought to herself. She knew that this meeting would be a bit different than others she had been to, but this was a bit beyond what she imagined.

Meanwhile on the Reken Border...

Saerat woke up on the CRN Peter after another rough night. He hated the waiting, even more than he hated the fighting that usually followed. He lent over to his bed side table and picked up a picture of his wife, he missed her alot, he wondered whether she had gotton the letter he had sent. He pulled up his hand and run it through his hair, and then looked out the window...

That was one hell of a navy Dratheria and Reken had amassed. God he wished that Hazel could talk some sense into them.

When George had signed up to the air force he knew that Christac would send him to dangouras places, but he never expected anything like this...

High above the Christac fleet he flew his Apostle (Helecopter), up to the horison he could see ships of all sorts, some from his own Christac, some from their neighboughs the Border Islands, but by far there were more ships belonging to their enemies...

as he flew more towards the land, he could see armies amassing there also, this is it he thought, all of these peoples lives rest in the hands of half a dozen people hundreds of miles away...

The intercom came on... "You are getting too close Apostle Blue, back off!"

Sure enough, an small rocket came flying by, George grabbed the controls and just dodged the missile by a few feet.

More were no doubt coming, he flew away as fast as he could.

Back down on the CRN Peter;

Saerat runs up to the comm in his room as sireins go off around him

"What the hell is going on?"

The captain replied "They are arming their weapons sir, unknown why, no sign of firing yet, shall we hold or try and get a first strike?"

Saerat gulped, he didn't know the answer

"Sir, what is your orders?" the captain asked back "Sir? Sir?"

Calin wasn't quite sure how these Borg were involved, but they were kind of creepy. He didn't realise that Star Trek had been a non-fiction program and had always thought the Borg part of that realm.

Shrugging it off, Calin spoke up, directing towards the Borg Queen.

"Who invited you guys?"

As well BLACKRUE stop announcing your power if we go to war you can demonstrate it upon them full force. And the weapons at this time we have such as the shield aren't invincible the bombs could fail easily since we haven't tested them. She looked down at her shoes for a moment and then turned once again to leave, should she tell him about Christac's Head of State being on board...

Searat laughed, April picked him up with the assistance of other soldiers and lifted him to a big boat, with the name Hrimfaxi on the side.
