Hello..and welcome to the
Rejistania and Melmond
World Cup 22 Bid Thread!
The bid we affectionately call "rm *"
Yes, two respected FAs in the NationStates footballing world, Rejistania, the most prestigious national team in NationStates footballing history have joined forces with the plucky yet unlucky footballing nation of Melmond in our attempt to forever be a part of World Cup glory! Before we cover the stadiums and all the in character things. Now here is some procedural information. Not every bit of information on how things will be scorinated and RP bonus will be divulged in order to keep an element of surprise, but the need to know basics will be stated.
scorination: We will use the java leagion system as it is a very easy system to use.
groups: The number of groups and the numbers of teams in the group will not be set in stone until the winner to host World Cup 22 is announced. By then we will know how many nations are looking to participate and will make a number in which the number of groups and teams will be an even number. We do not want to leave anyone out prior to the announcement of the number of teams and groups, so we are likely to still have open spaces if we are selected to host World Cup 22 for any late entrants as our number will usually be greater than the number signed up if it doesn't fit in our even groups and teams goal. In case we have a set up where a playoff is needed, it will be home-and-home and aggregate scoring.
RP bonus: It will be based on both quantity and frequency. Of course, stat and schedule regurgitation will not count in terms of quantity. Frequency is rather obvious...did you post or not..and how often?
We are both experienced at hosting tournaments. Rejistania would be honoured to be the first ever three time host and Melmond would be especially honoured to host the World Cup for the first time ever. Either way, let us all enjoy the NationStates beautiful game...have fun!
I have to admit, I like your bid, but I think we should give LE a chance. I mean, this is about ALL of us having fun... and we've given TBF a chance too. I just think its about time for LE...
Just some extra things i thought i would throw in...both ooc...
List of Great German-American Unions
Hamburgers
Hot Dogs (don't forget bratwurst as well!)
Daimler Chrysler
And this bid of course!
Rejistania and Melmond is the first ever and probably only ever all-female bid!

You forgot the NFL Europe....they may as well just call it NFL Germany now anyway.
You forgot the NFL Europe....they may as well just call it NFL Germany now anyway.
Good point, it will be anytime where the Amsterdam Admirals will move to Stuttgart or something, but then again never underestimate the Dutch and their openness to foreign cultures...I also hear Sweden has a small American Football league.
Do you actually miss the London Monarchs?
First off, we must state that we feel that the World Cup would be a wonderful centerpiece to our symbolic announcement that the heart of the Exclusive Capitalizt Zone is still alive and well and that we are in a new area of peace and prosperity. We hope to have that privilege. But now without further ado...
Melmond's Stadiums for World Cup 22
Before the stadiums used for the Melmond portion of World Cup 21 are introduced, let me take you to a theater in Melmond City, where a live action version of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast are being performed. In this scene which best describes the Melmond presentation of stadiums, Gaston is now played by the now infamous Melmond musical star Stillint Hecloset, known for not only his immense talent on stage, but his excellent essays. Melmondian actress Paige Binder has finally been replaced by a younger actress in Brooke Staples plays the part of Belle.
Gaston: How can you read this stuff? There are no pictures?
Belle: Some people actually use their imaginations.
We ask of you to do what Belle does, use your imagination with these stadiums. Most are based on actual stadiums, but most of them are so altered from the original basis that I decided not to show pictures. Well enjoy the Melmond stadiums!
Melmond Bowl II
Location: Melmond City, Melmond
Seats: 92,542 (Open Air)
Melmond City is the capital and largest city in Melmond. The United Postmodernist States of Melmond grew from this ancient city which was said to be visited by the mythical light warriors. Anything and everything happens in the megalopolis known as Melmond City. The original Melmond Bowl was destroyed in the socialist invasion, but the Melmond Bowl was brought back with most of the original features, plus more. The Melmond Bowl was built so that Melmond would have a national stadium of sorts as well as have a centerpiece stadium for a World Cup bid. It was built with football first at mind as it is the home of the 4-time Melmond Premier League champion Melmond City Blues. However, it also hosts events like the Exclusive Capitalizt Zone Olympics as well as many other athletic and non-athletic events. The stadium itself has a throwback bowl shape, but with all the modern amenities of skyboxes, a jumbotron, and lots and lots of restrooms for the 92,542 who can fit into the stadium. New in the addition were some more architectural additions, such as murals commemorating the expulsion of the socialist invaders and a botanical promenade just outside the stadium. Expect this stadium to host three group matches as well as the World Cup final.
Microcosm Football Colossuseum v. 1.1
Location: Aldi, Melmond
Seats: 97,474 (Open Air)
Aldi is the second largest city in Melmond and is on the coast of the Aldi Sea. It is known for its beautiful weather and gnarly surfing. However, this town does seem to have an inferiority complex to the larger Melmond City and the more glamourous Unne. One sign of this complex is that the city of Aldi felt it had to build a bigger stadium than Melmond City to still look like a world-class city. With that and the sinister brainchild of Microcosm of Melmond, the Microcosm Football Colossuseum was built by those subconsciously hypnotized by the talking dolls made by the company and Matmel which brought people from other cities in Melmond and far away places like Bedistan and Commerce Heights to build this monolith for free. Unfortunately, the socialist invasion destroyed the stadium which is ironically the home of the club side Aldi Reds. Microcosm of Melmond is currently working on a stronger hypnotizing transmission device to bring those who have the Matmel talking dolls of various Melmond players back to rebuild the stadium. Under those hypnotic orders, the stadium will look just as is before the invasion happened, hence the version 1.1 added to the stadium. This stadium is the home of the Melmond Premier League club Aldi Reds. The stadium is in the shape of the most perfect circle a sentient being can create. However, the pitch is in your traditional rectangular shape to keep the fans near the action. Of course, being that Microcosm of Melmond is the sponsor of the stadium, this is one of the most hi-tech stadiums with air-conditioned stands and two jumbotrons. Of course as with any prerequisite for a stadium this size, lots and lots of bathrooms! This stadium will host three group matches along with the semifinal.
Feliz-Unne Stadium
Location: Unne, Melmond
Seats: 48,000 (Open Air)
The city of Unne is Melmond’s third largest city and is said to be the most fashionable city in the nation. The city was named after the famous Dr. Unne, in which Melmondian legend claims that he taught the Light Warriors an ancient language which helped rid the world from Chaos (the evil being, not the concept). Descendants of the Unne family make their home in Unne and are a sort of unofficial royalty in Melmond. Four members of the Unne family: Critandi, Gina, Diallo, and Charles have played for the Fearless Farmers. Feliz-Unne Stadium is one of the first football-specific stadiums in Melmond as it was built due to the success Melmond had in the Cup of Harmony also along with success the Unne Yellows club team had early on in the footballing history of Melmond. They expanded the smaller Feliz Stadium by 30,000 seats. It was funded by the Unne family, hence the name. Seats are almost right on top of the pitch, and in the humid climate of Unne, it can make opponents claustrophobic. This also makes it a large yet intimate venue for world class football. Some of the closer seats to the pitch actually retract in to make room for the track field which is around the stadium. Some of the old section of the stadium was maintained and is an excellent spot to watch the match. Unfortunately, part of the stadium was destroyed not by socialist invaders, but rather one angry giant evil spider named Bob. Fortunately, the stadium was able to be rebuilt to its original for, but it has lost some of its original charm as some of the parts which was from the original Feliz stadium were destroyed by the giant evil spider. This stadium will host three group matches as well as one playoff match.
Makinshakes Stadium
Location: O'Connor, Melmond
Seats: 60,217 (Open Air)
The city of O’Connor is Melmond’s fourth largest city. It is the big city hub which is smack dab in the middle of the Melmondian fertile plain. O’Connor is also the heart of the largest industry in Melmond, the book publishing industry. However, it was Melmondian fast food giant Makinshakes who bought the naming rights of this new football-specific stadium. It is a very versatile stadium which can host things from hockey games or a regional favorite like American football. Football is its number one client however as O’Connor Greens of the Melmond Premier League calls the stadium home. This stadium doesn’t have some of the fancy amenities new stadiums like Melmond Bowl and Microcosm Football Colossuseum have, all it has in technology is a jumbotron, but it has a blue-collar beauty to it that the people of O’Connor love to call their own. Of course, having Makinshakes being the sponsor of the stadium, expect good food at the concession stands as well as the famous sandwich of O’Connor, the Big O. It is also said that the city of O’Connor has one of the most beautiful skies In Melmond. This stadium will host three group matches and a playoff match.
MelAir Stadium
Location: Faasen, Melmond
Seats: 43,200 (Open Air)
Faasen, the fifth largest city in Melmond, has A spanking new facility to celebrate the city’s arrival into being known as a top flight sports city as well as Melmond’s musical mecca. The success of their hometown club Faasen Oranges as well as the promise of a World Cup pushed this marvelous stadium to be built. It’s wavy bowl shape is said to represent Faasen’s musical heritage (the shape of sound being measured) and each end has a jumbotron scoreboard of its own, which is also perfect for staging big music festivals! The biggest and most well-known airline, MelAir, decided to start showing their support for football by buying the naming rights for the stadium already being called “The Runway” by their progressive community. It will host group matches as well as a playoff match.
Anachronism Park
Location: Cali, Melmond
Seats: 43,275 (Open Air)
The people of Cali, the sixth largest city in Melmond are not know for being sports fanatics, but as Cali native Martin Goodwin helped popularize the sport of football in the nation and noticing that there is a lot of homegrown talent for football coming from the city, they decided to support the building of a football-only stadium. However, this stadium had to have unique architecture and be fashionable to fit the beat of the town. A clothing company called Anachronism, who makes period style clothing for everyday and modern wear, was up to the task. They along with some top Melmond architects designed a stadium with the appearance of a grand castle along with modern amenities within the stadium. What resulted was one of the architectural sporting marvels not only in Melmond, but in the world and will be a picturesque place to play some World Cup 22 matches. Three group matches and a playoff match will be played at this stadium.
Frankndottir Stadium
Location: Acosta, Melmond
Seats: 42,176 (Open Air)
Acosta is Melmond’s seventh largest city and possibly one of Melmond’s most majestic cities. Acosta’s crystal clear skies and its glacial and mountainous background make it a tourist attraction for nature lovers. Finally, Acosta football fans can enjoy that grandeur from their own outdoor football specific stadium. Frankdottir Stadium was a stadium where many college and semi-pro sports events happened. It got a facelift and five times the seating so the Melmond Premier League’s Acosta Browns can make their home there. It will be expanded from 37,176 to 42,176 seats if Rejistania and Melmond get the right to host the World Cup. The retractable seats near the pitch are also used in the newer stands of Frankndottir Stadium just like Unne’s Feliz-Unne Stadium, also because track events are also held at Frankndottir Stadium. It’s not the overbearing intimacy of Feliz-Unne, but this stadium has a scenic background that is second to none. This stadium will host three group matches as well as one playoff match.
Dark’s Park
Location: Bezrukova, Melmond
Seats: 60,056 (Open Air)
An absolute cathedral of a football-only stadium was built after the success of the club team Bezrukova Turquoises and the eventual overtaking of popularity of football over baseball in this city. Bezrukova, Melmond's twelth largest city, is probably the only city where more people talk football and Bezrukova Turquoises than the local major league baseball team from Melmond’s division of the Batter Up Baseball League. The outside has a classic red brick outlook and the inside has many modern amenities which surprise people when they enter the classic looking building. The stadium is perfectly suited for the spectator, with every seat being near the action in some way and an awning which keeps the spectators dry during precipitation, which does happen quite a bit in Bezrukova. The alternative fashion department store Dark’s, which is headquartered in Bezrukova, has the naming rights to the stadium and designs some of the souvenirs for the club team and the World Cup itself. This stadium will host three group matches.
Rejistania

Rejistania's Stadiums for World Cup 22
Estadije Sen-La-Sa~o Relekhati
Location: Riandu kalesa, KaMaRi kali, Rejistania
Capacity: 149,000
The club Sen-La-Sa~o Relekhati (pronounced as: Zenlazou relegarti) was one of the most famous clubs and always on the verge to be in the final stage of the H1SR. Their stadium is an impressive building, by far the biggest stadium in Rejistania. In the qualifiers, most home games take place here due to the incredible atmosphere. Its architecture is remarkable due to the roof reminding of many arches.
Estadije Hetlasane Hetkali
Location: Hetkali, Rejistania
Capacity: 105,000
"Theteam from thecity" (which is the translation of the majuvedian name Hetlasane Hetkali) is one of the most successfull rejistanian teams ever. Even though their rival Hetaki is more solvent after 'crazy billionaire' Alan Belmore bought it, Hetlasasne is the team his more prestige. The stadium is the second largest in Rejistania. The nickname of this stadium can be translated as 'hellhole' because hell breaks lose (in a positive sense) when Hetlasane, or a team which qualified for the XVSR plays there.
Estadije Hanin Sekhika
Location: Maiju kalesa, KaMaRi kali
Capacity: 99,000
The Estadije Hanin Sekhika is another stadium in the fascinating city KaMaRi kali. The biggest city of Rejistania is located in the central north on the border between the territory of two ethnic groups: the Minokaje and the Majuveda. For foreigners these differences are not really obvious, but the Rejistanis distinguish between the 'Maiju kalesa' (minokajeti speaking) and 'Kalimnintan kalesa' (majuvedi speaking). Hanin Sekhika are a successfull team but on the decline. They have a proud tradition for losing out on penalty kicks in the XVSR.
Estadije Najajara Ynu
Location: Najajara kali, Rejistania
Capacity: 90,000
The town Najajara kali is a beautiful port town known for its relaxed atmosphere and the fact that it changes as soon as the Blacks (Ynu) play an important match. The Najajara Ynu Stadium is the only stadium on this list, which is not just used for soccer, but also for a southern Rejistanian sport called Mjinen, a strange sport, which rules are not comprehensible for anyone, who did not grew up with it. In that respect is it similar to baseball and tennis. Matches here will be rescheduled in case the
Estadije Vaje~n Sekhika
Location: Vaje~n kali, Rejistania
Capacity: 84,200
Vaje~n kali (pronounciation help: it rhymes with the french word "matin") is a rather small city in southern Rejistania, but it always was a perfect place for high class soccer. Vaje~n Sekhika was the first professional soccer team in southern Rejistania, and the stadium is not the newest, but after renovations it is a worthy venue for international matches. The only problem is the really hot and humid climate, which maybe a reason why teams from the south overperform on their home ground against northern teams.
Estajie Sijitalatirikimidateme Xkora
Location: Sijitalatirikimidateme kali, Rejistania
Capacity: 56,000
"The team from the city with the long name" is a typical name for Sijitalatirikimidateme Xkora, while everyone knows that the city is called "Sijitala...uluhet" by Rejistanis from other cities and "Sa~etahti~lki~ndae" by seleke. There are plans to rename this stadium to "World Cup Stadium Northwest" during the time of the finals. Seleke consider this a sacrilege and can not understand or see the reason for it, but most foreigners and non seleke welcome this idea.
Estadije Ines Kalisimu Salan
Location: Kalisimu kali, Rejistania
Capacity: 40,000
Noticed the inventiveness concerning Rejistanian stadium names, They always consist of the word "Estadije" and the name of the team playing there: "Estadije Sen-La-Sa~o Relekhati" means "stadium of SLS R". This time, it is slightly different: The Estadije ines is the "new stadium". It is not just the home venue for Kalisimu Salan but also for H2SR team Kalisimu Seli, a fact which makes scheduling of the H1SR and H2SR matches always a rather complicated issue. Despite the name and the new construction date, it appears to be modern as a telegraph and elegant as a rhinoceros.
Estadije Karela lines
Location: Kalimnintan kali, KaMaRi kali, Rejistania
Capacity 9,500
The absolute backup venue in case of some unexpected occurances, like the lack of interest in a certain match, a worker's strike in another part of Rejistania or an earthquake. Karela Lines is the most famous or most infamous rejistanian amateur club, depending on whether you like or dislike all-out-defense. But indisputable is their success: They won the H1SR three times already and won the XVSR twice (once in its old league-style form and once when in the new elimination style tournament). If other stadiums are cathedrals of soccer, this is a chapel, built for the god of defense. Calling it a stadium is maybe not really justified, it is a grass pitch with stands on two sides.
