The Beaneastan Open (Open golf RP)
Beaneastan
27-02-2005, 09:42
Since the only golf RP thread I've found seems to have fizzled out, I thought I would start my own. I will not participate, only post scores which participants can then RP.
So please enter your golfer today! Describe his or her background, strengths, and any other minutiae you would like to throw in. If the event is successful, I will consider starting up a tour.
If you want to RP (not required), note that The Beaneastan Open will be held on this course, blue tees:
http://www.patriotsglen.com/course2.html
The first of four rounds will begin after twenty people sign up or Thursday March 3rd at 8AM Eastern Standard (US). I will randomly determine scoring by pairing each participants score with that of a players score in a previous, real PGA tournament. In other words, I might use the 2000 Doral Open, and player 1 will randomly get the Round 1 score of Mike Weir from that tournament, the round 2 score from Stuart Appleby, and so on.
Good luck and swing away!

Funny sport results
It's not the World Cup or any tennis results. An obscure game called Golf. Yes, Jeruselem does have golfers and it's not all bad.
Round 1 of the Beaneastan Open to be precise. Carrie Fisher is leading with two others while Yashak Gomez is flat last although a score of one over is nothing to be ashamed of. There's only 6 players in this Open so there's a good chance of winning for our team.
It's only early days, so we wish our golfers the best.

More Golfy results
Beaneastan Open results again. Our team managed to shoot the 2nd best scores for the 2nd round, but we have a real leader. While Fisher and Gomez shot impressive 67s, Gomez is still 6th but Carrie now holds 2nd.
Dutil shot a course record 63 and leads Carrie by 4 shots. There are three players tied in third so the game result is still open.

Euroslav Golfers Step Up; Dutil Sets Course Record!
As the Beaneastan Open continues into its second round, the Euroslav golfers have both proven to be consistant competitors. Mario Dutil shot a course record, 63, and has begun to dominate the Open, however, he has no room to make mistakes, as Carrie Fisher from Jerusalem continues to pace right behind him. One missed putt could lose him the Open.
Marona Foster continues to perform well, however if she wishes to win the Open, she's going to have to step it up a few notches to have a chance at breaking away from the pack she is currently tied with.

Sullivan and Tuomeinen frustrated.
After both being tied for 3rd in the Beneastan Open, Jim Sullivan made some quick remarks before heading out to practise.
"We're playing awful... maybe it's age catching up on me or inexperience on Annika (Tuomeinen). It still doesn't help that we're not playing as good as we know we can."
This report is almost as quick as the way Sullivan said it.

Below par results ...
Today in the Beaneastan Open, scores were very disappointing. The Jeruselem pair of Carrie Fisher and Yashak Gomez had mixed results. The best score was Sullivan from Hockey Canada with a 70 and Gomez did the same for the round. Carrie's 73 was her worst so far.
Dutil from Euroslavia leads Carrie by 5 shots with Sullivan 6 shots behind. Gomez is not last and 4th now. Foster shot 74 to drop to last. We fully expect Dutil to win this unless a shocker happens and Carrie fires a sub-68 to be competitive.
ROUND 3 COMPLETE
1. Dutil -13 (68-63-72)
2. Fisher -8 (68-67-73)
3. Sullivan -7 (68-71-70)

Dutil wins Beaneastan Open despite Carrie's charge
Dutil from Euroslavia won the Beaneastan Open despite Jeruselem's Carrie Fisher shooting 66 to claim the cup. Dutil held strong with 68 and always looked the winner. Gomez shot 69, but it was the worst score for the last round sadly as 68s, 66s and 67s were also shot.
