Okay, I am starting an RP about Thrope's greatest Tradition, The Lycan Festival. This RP will take place for the most part at the Keiran Castle, during the Moon Ball. This will be the first time the festival shall be open to foreigners, so it's a big deal. My nation is mostly Lycans so I'll set down some lycanthrope(werewolf) rules according to my mind.
1)Civilized, but passionate and instinctual at times
2)Immensely Sensual
3)The Lycan Gene is a virus passed through the blood. You can't become a werewolf through sex
4)Change is volontary, but harder to resist during a full moon.
5)The whole Royal Family is Lycan, you bad mouth werewolves you die.

Right now I'm trying to see if I can get enough interest in this. The RP will be throughout the nation, but mostly during the Ball. The main character is Duchess Xaria O'Keith. Who after the terrible assisination of most of her family, will be crowned at the end of the ball. That's about it. They'll be battles, dances, and many non-humans. That's about it.

I'll be putting up my vampire, and maybe one other character.

I am VERY interested in sending people. I'll probably send Fae of some kind (I'm thinking Sidhe right now) who, in my canon, were once allied to werewolves, though not exactly the type you have. Anyway, very interested.

I'm in for this for sure. I'll probably bring in Sigrun, who's dealt with lycans before. He's an elf, with a complex history, which will probably end up being told throughout the RP.

Thrope, I suggest you limit this thread to like 5-8 RPers...otherwise it'll get too fractured and hard to maintain.

OOC: If its ok, can I send one of my vampires for some controversey? I would prefer it if I can send em not as a representative, but as a missioned agent sent with a few silver bullets? I dont mind if he's successful or unsuccessful... so its up to you really.

Tag - Might I send the Last Deadly Sin of Cats Keep? The Lady Shalamar Thorskald, is definitely no longer human, and is used to being around Sidhe, Goblin kind, Lycans etc.

Morning. I'd like to send The SARGE! over to your bash as the envoy of my country, 'Ttellof'. Also id like Sarge! to have a sitdown with you if possible, with looks to incorporate a couple of Lycan 'volunteers' into our military program.

Okay so now that I see that there's a good amount of interest. I'm setting up so standards to being chosen. I'm only picking 10. Here are the standards;
1)You have to give a brief Bio of the main character you will be using.
2) Once you are accepted new characters have to be run by me in this topic
3)Only serious RPers are allowed, no slackers and no people who think they know the "better" way to do the RP

Interesting. I would like to send Darius Steele, President of Gawdly. He is not loved by vampires, though that may change by the time the RP gets going. He has no feud with werewolves anywhere. He is interested in what causes vampirism, and hopes to discover if there is a firm link between vampirism and lycanthropy. Also, he really enjoys a good party, which would be the main reason for his visit.

Sigrun Greenwood, a Tarlachian elf, has had many experiences with many species. Werewolves are amongst those. He is the current ruler of Tarlachia, and has managed to create a stable government and society within Tarlachia that has never been seen before as stable as it is now.

Naturally, doing this, requires one to be able to be diplomatic in their interactions, yet not afraid to show muscle if all other venues have failed. When put into combat, he has proven himself time and time again the extent of his abilities to survive. Public opinion has placed him at just under, or equal to the strength of such characters such as Kain Shentavo, or Lance Crusade. He exerts much patience, but there are a few things that will cause him to snap in anger.

Beware of those few things...

Sasha, as she prefers to be only known by, is a friend of Sigrun. She currently is the head councilmember of the Underworld Cities in Tarlachia. She will be traveling with Sigrun, as a friend, and as a bodyguard if necessary. She is a vampire, so there might be some tension between lycans and her. Nevertheless, she will remain as civil as the situation requires.

Zanendithas Carter:
A Redcap, Zanendithas is particularly fascinated with other supernaturals such as vampires and werewolves. He has spent years serving the Foreign Ministry as an academic expert on supernaturals but has never met a werewolf in person before. He jumped at the opportunity to do so. Like most Redcaps, he's hardly the most polite person but his diplomatic training does allow him to avoid causing particularly unseemly incidents.

Alikahn Sandtracker:
A Nocker, Alikahn is a tinker by trade and is normally the scientific liason to allied states. This assignment is a brake from her usual assignments because Alikahn liked the idea of being able to attend a party for her country. Like Zanendithas, Alikahn has some problems with ettiquette or, rather, with polite language.

Lady Zinnaatra:
An ennobled Boggan, Zinnaatra provides the social power of the delegation. Unfailingly kind, polite, and undestanding, Zinnaatra has proven her ability to get along with the most diverse group of cultures and peoples and is eager to add Lycans to her success list.

Count Dolgorn ap Fiona:
A Sidhe noble, Dolgorn is beautiful, passionate, and often wild. He is refined and cultured, despite his often reckless nature. Dolgorn knows ancient tales of alliances between his House and werewolves and they've driven him to seek out modern werewolves in search of ancient or new allies and friends.

Stephen Malone- Stephen is the only Simatarian vampire to exist. He is an ex-Ranger and was bitten in Tarlachia by a vampire, because of this he lived for a thousand years before becoming a vampire. Because of this, he had the strength of a five hundred year old vampire. Part of Stephen’s military career is a mystery to many, and is only known to him.

Todd Harte- HUMAN. An ex-viral researcher. He went to a vampire conference in Akaton and is the second Simatarian to know in depth information about them. Returning home, he found out the facility he worked at had a leak and the whole area was quarinteened. Unable to get reassigned to another facility, he has spent much of his time traveling and doing more research on vampires. He has also begun to expand his studies into other creatures such as werewolves.

When he is not traveling, Todd is helping his sister run thier family's wine vineyard.

Eszti Batory: High Priestess of the temple of Ithtyr. Like all high priestesses of this particular goddess, she is a Callisdrunian Moroii. She ascended to this postfive years ago, after a few years as an outspoken and popular priestess of one of the lesser temples. She was born in Istengrad, Callisdrun, to the large Batory clan of Moroii. She became very active in her religion after coming of age. She is now 31.

OOC: Moroii means "living vampire." They differ quite a lot from the Strigoii type of vampire usually used, and are the closest to the kind of vampire I use, so that's what I call mine. Any questions, just IM me or TG me.

Dama Elantrex

Born some seventeen hundred years ago, Dama is one of the founding fathers, (or mothers, considering she is female afterall), of one of the Seven ruling clans of the Blood Dynasty. As a matriach of this nation, she was once considered one of the strongest, and most respected. Unfortunatley, due to the rise of a personal vendetta after the murder of one of her twelve daughters. Suspecting that the ones involved were of the Lycan type, she now lives in the shadows of society, living and carrying out the revenge she most desires. She is currently seeking those who murdered the royal family of Thrope, so she may join forces against the enemy she hates most.

Coming to this event, she has plans for furthering what the group she is seeking had set to do, hoping to complete the murder process.

SARGE! is the number2 in Ttellof.He can be sensible and hardnosed when the need arisies but prefers to be the life of the party (just like me) (thats how we like to do things in Ttellof). An ex-military man, SARGE! has overall control over Ttellof's military issues and has been genetically modified to handle any or all combat situations (but only when the need arisies). SARGE! is a total party animal who knows how to have a good time. He is somewhat of a comedian and a laydeez man who, after speaking to me earlier, would apparently relish the chance of getting "freaky naughty" with some Lycan ass. He also does a good turn on the mic as a stand-up comic.

sounds like fun, you can count my ambassodor/body guard/ assasin, Victor Crumble, in.

Victor Crumble came from the more opprressed, remote area's of Van Demans Land, and seing as joining the military was the only option for new borns there, his family sent him away to learn the family trade of protecting the country. As his training started he excelled in the arts of dagger throwing and using small arms to extreme effect. Not much use in a battle field, his superiors thought, but very effective in battlalion-X, the governments highest class of assasins. He joined the semi-legal group, and quickly rose through their ranks to make class-A, the best abilitied of all the classes. As his jobs got more and more complicated, his family received better and better treatment from the government as payment for his "assignments". Thus he is fiercly dedicated to completing his set tasks, if not for his family at home, then at least for the sheer thrill of the kill. He does not have much practise in hunting vampires, but during "The Great Hunt", as the national media dubbed it, many once blood maddened werewolfs's corpses, were attributed to Victor Crumble.
He also has a deadly tact to his conversations, able to withdraw vital government and military secrets through semmingly idle chit chat. Thus making him a perfect ambassoder to talk with the rebels that had once terrorised the nation of Van Demans Land. Though the lack of war's recently has dulled his blade a tiny bit, he still practises daily, and makes a deadly opponent in both ranged and close combat.
His age is unknown, but he has been suspected to have had experimental processes done to him by the government's "scientific" depart, in age reduction and metabolism increase. Whether these where succesful or unsuccesful, remains to be seen...


Hope hes good enough to participate in what looks like will turn out to be a good RP! Any word on the date/time itll be happening?

OoC: I usually do give a better description but I was in a mad rush to get this done. Shame I couldn't be in it...not too bothered though, I would've stuck out like a sore thumb anyway, a relatively realistic nation mixing with werewolves and vampires!

Um, normally Eszti wears what priestesses of Ithtyr wear, which is pretty much nothing. Is that ok or should she arrive with clothes? And what is the policy on weapons? as Callisdrunians normally carry one-handed battle axes everywhere with them.

Have her clothed. And the battle axe is fine, so long as she carries it in a non-threatening manner. Like not in her hand. If she has to carry it on hand, then just try to keep it seeming non-threatening.

Well, in most of the RP's I've done. Not how many people want to be in the RP, it's up to the creator. I mostly just didn't like the characters of everyone else. Either I didn't think the description was enough, or if the character seemed out there. Or I just didn't like the character. You can't please everyone. SORRY!

It's up to the thread originator who gets in. He made it very clear from the beginning to this was something you had to apply for and that he would decide whether characters would be accepted or not. If you feel insulted that you didn't get in or feel that his decision was unfair, don't try to get in on any more of his threads. There's dozens of good or at least decent rps on the NS forum on any given day and more than a few of them are totally open. If you still want to play with him, try again later. But being passive aggressive about it isn't going to make you look any more appealing as an rp partner. You can be as frustrated as you want but there's no need to flame the guy about it. His thread=his call.

The battle axe is carried on a belt. Carrying it in one's hand all day long would be somewhat inconvenient. I'm glad I asked about the clothing issue before posting.
