CARAS COPERNICUS, MENELMACARI ISIL - Reports have been confirmed today of a substantial real estate transaction on the surface of Isil (Luna) between the Eternal Noldorin Empire of Menelmacar and the Danaan High Kingdom of the Resurgent Dream.

In a meeting between Menelmacari Prefect of State Lord Túrelio nos Fingolfin and Danaan Special Representative Wandadiana Foechuckle, a deal was made to transfer the as-yet undeveloped Aristillius crater, northeast of Caras Archimedes in the Sea of Rains, to the control of the Resurgent Dream, in exchange for an undisclosed package likely to involve cash and promised trade contracts. Lord Túrelio was quoted as stating that this arrangement "is intended to aid in the space program of a new and valued ally, while enhancing the economy and security of Menelmacar." Menelmacar's Isil holdings are not substantially lessened by the land sale, consisting of a substantial network of colonies scattered over the Sea of Rains, the Sea of Clouds, and the Ocean of Storms, and centered on Caras Copernicus.

CARAS COPERNICUS, MENELMACARI ISIL-The government today announced a large real estate transaction on the surface of Luna. The purchase consists of currently undeveloped Aristillius crater. A spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry refused to reveal the exact terms of the deal but suggested the package offerred by the Danaan High Kingdom was "purely economic in nature".

The government plans to build a domed city in the crater to be named Selinia. The government plans to construct the dome itself, roads, civil defenses, a Spaceforce station, an observatory, a police station, a courthouse, a shipyard, and a spaceport for civilian use. As a natural result of the presence of these personnel, the government expects market forces to "fill in" the rest of the city with a thriving and free local economy. While, legally speaking, Selinia and her people shall be under the same economic regulations and possess the same economic rights as apply universally throughout the High Kingdom, added transportation costs cause leading economists to predict that Selinia will rely more upon local production and imports from Menelmacar and other trading partners with Lunar holdings than upon products from home.

SELINIA, LUNA-Today, actual labor began on the Lunar city of Selinia. The Ministry of the Interior has contracted the prestigious Lipsky Corporation, reputed to be the best company in their field, for the actual construction of the city's basic infrastructure. Until the basic dome and life-support system is completed, workers and managers are living in modular living quarters transported with the building materials and personnel. While there is a military presence, just in case, officials say they have no serious security concerns, given the generally peaceful nature of the Lunar surface.

SELINIA, LUNA-Today saw the completion of work on the dome and life-support systems in Selinia. The next few months will see the already designed and partially built infrastructure of the city completed and expanded. The city is scheduled to open within the next few months.

SELINIA, LUNA- Today, construction companies, real estate agencies, and other private interests involved in the building of Selinia's private infrastructure were given leave to enter Selinia and begin work. Private land titles, many of which were arranged for months ago, were officially issued yesterday afternoon. Currently, 73% of Selinian land is privately owned. Another 17% remains on sale. Because of the special nature of the settlement, 10% of the territory, unusually high by Danaan standards, will be reserved for the use of local and royal authorities.
