To: Sirithil Nos Feanor, Elentári of the Eternal Noldorin Empire of Menelmacar, High Queen and Lady-Protector of Elvenkind
Subj: Royal Visit
Clearance: Eyes Only
There comes the time in the life of every advisor, heavy though the burden is, to deceive his ruler for his own good. This is the case, today. I have been advisor to the Royal Family for six decades. I have known Little Fiona since she was but a baby, and I can tell you, she is not just a mere human. By all signs, she is a demigod, a gift upon the long-suffering people of Tussaint from the Gods Above.
It would be good – for Little Fiona is a good person, basically, and will apparently rule Tussaint for eternity since she is effectively immortal, it seems – yet the habits she acquired during the war, her martial character, childishness that leads her to acts of cruelty unfitting with her general demeanor, and manners unbefitting a Queen might impinge on what might otherwise have been a perfect reign.
Thus, I engineered my deceipt. Little Fiona has been shown a different version of this letter, and thinks she is to be arriving to the Eternal Empire for a mere diplomatic mission. In fact, I deliver her to you as a pupil An apprentice if you will. As she arrives, we will devise excuses to lengthen her stay – only so as you may do as much as your good will will allow to alleviate the misgivings of her character.
She is scheduled to arrive on __/__/__.
Entrusting myself on Your kindness and the help of the Gods Above,
His Excellence Duke Wilhelm de Lorz, Royal Advisor to Her Majesty Fiona Aelen Riannon, Faer’n-Valsharess, Uniter of the Kingdom, The White Flame that Dances on the Enemies’ Tombs
