New Sports Game! NSASCAR Racing-- sign up fast!

Spirit Nation
18-02-2005, 03:39
I will only be opening this up to 16 nations at a time due to feasability of the amount of work I'll have to put in.

This is a simple idea called NSASCAR- Nation States Association for Stock Car Auto Racing. Spirit Nation has many outstanding racing venues and drivers and is proud to host an attempt to have a truly global stock car racing championship to test the skills of various member nations of Nationstates.
Each country may enter one government sponsored racing team to compete in the league. They will get a budget of 25,000,000 Lopardos (the currency of Spirit Nation) with which to spend on various things required to operate a successful team; how they choose wehre to put their cash goes a long way in determining a winner. Also, they will receive 100 'focus points,' which they can divide as they choose amongst the schedule's 16 races. Want to win the title? Spread your focus out evenly. Looking to rake in the prize money at the more prestigious races? Focus your attention on those.

The nation's budget decisions, along with its' focus points, go into a Microsoft Excel Formula to come out with the team's ranking. The formula includes the following factors:
Economy- a nation's economic condition is one of the factors, based on what the box says on the national profile
Engines- each team will purchase a contract with an engine company based on what it may afford
Chassis- same as engines, purchase what you may afford
Pit Crew- all teams assign a pit crew budget out of their $25 million
Crew Chief- pick a crew chief out of the field of free agents.. they each come with certain costs and benefits
Driver- the wheelman.. pick yours.. some excel at different tracks, others dominate everywhere, others are not so good- they all come at a different pricetag
Focus Points- how many focus points you put into this race
Roleplay Bonus- This one's simple, if you posted a press release regarding the last race, or something prerace, you get the points, if you didn't, you don't.
Racin' Luck- Luck is a part of stock car racing; before each race I'll roll a dice for each nation 1-6 which is part of the formula
Points- your current rank is considered in the formula

The formula is run, the rankings in each are averaged out, and, this is the unique part. Each car's ranking is entered into the simulation game from 2000, NASCAR Heat, for PC. Then a simulation is run and the results of this computerized race are what are posted as the results for the race.

When you register your nation to enter, you need to pick an engine manufacturer and a chassis manufacturer and a pit crew budget, as well as state which driver and crew chief you've hired (you can change these later on in the game, although you have yearly contracts with manufacturers, you can fire drivers and crew chiefs at any time)

Without further ado...

I kinda like the idea. But it looks a little over complicated.
