Count John Antonette sat inside his office. It looked to be aboard a naval ship. He was wearing a naval dress uniform. He began to speak,

"Francis I of Burgundy is a theif. He as income tax rates up to 100%. I pledge to change that. He is also a freemason, illegal in CR and that means he is no longer a Catholic,disqualifying him from being emperor. I have the supprt of 95% of the population of Cherry Ridge. To the Dersconi forces. Sing the Julius in your harbour. It is a wretched reminder of the past. I have the support of the archbishop of Cherry Ridge, John Hughes, and all high council officials. The Archbishop has crowned me emperor of Cherry Ridge. I am also now King of Burgundy. I have documents stating that you wanted to secede from Greater Prussia. The military supports me also. I have signed a writ of execution against Francis I and order that whoever kills him will get 5,000,000 bills. Thank you, Good Day, and God Bless."

"Sir, there is movement inside that barn"

"Execute orders, Captain?" asked the young Corporal.

"Granted"

The men sprung from the bushes. They rammed down the barn door. The masons fired on the Ridgian Army team. 2 were hit and killed instantly. A soldier threw a smoke grenade. The soldiers quickly beat the masons to the floor. They found a document with a list of members. One name popped out" Francis I.

"Captain, we got what we need"

"Good, blow the place up."

Privates ran to each corner and placed sticks at each corner. All 50 men then ran into the woods. The Captain hit a button and a huge flash was seen, then a smaller, consistant one.



ooc- The masons are Francis only basic supporters now. The rest support the revolutionary, and now new Emperor of Cherry Ridge and King of Burgundy, John Antonette.

OOC: Cherry, go along with it, don't worry. Just one thing, though -- no spies.

Somewhere in a Fortress in Derscon

In a meeting of a secret society, the Grand Master looked over his subordinates.

"We have a slight problem, brothers." Various people, high ranking members of the Brotherhood, most of which were 32nd or 33rd degree Masons, but not all (such as the Grand Master was not a Mason), were assembled in the ellipse. The very top people of the Brotherhood were mostly of Greater Prussian origin, which was odd, but there were some scattered others, too. Specifically the unofficial Grand Master of the Cherry Ridge Masonic Lodge. Unofficial, as he'd be executed otherwise!

"Antonette has been pushing his antimasonic propoganda again, only this time he's taken up arms against our brothers. You," he said, looking at the Ridgian. "What import spots have you infiltrated so we can ship supplies in?"

OOC: This is NOT the assembly of a "national masonic lodge," or anything. it's far more secretive -- most people don't know it exists.

"I have complete control over a small airport in the Ridgian countryside. I used to have control of the Government, until Francis was overthrown. now all the masons is government have been executed."

Frank pressed his head against the glass of the train he was hiding in. He had already heard the declaration by John Antonette several times over. 95% of the population supported him.

It really sucked to be in the other 5.

"Hey, I wonder if he will lower the taxes..." Mused a guy behind him.

"Damn straight he will! Those thieving freemasons an' him have been using that money for caviar an' gold an' crap. It's about time we got some of that!"

"I thought you were allergic to fish."

"Yeah, so?"

"Caviar is fish eggs."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"No shit... I'll just take some gold instead."

Frank rubbed his face a few times, in the desperate hope that he was imagining the whole ordeal. Granted, there was no sensor invented that could tell the revolutionaries that he was a mason (And a damned loyal one at that, he reminded himself), they would still eventually root him out. And then it would be a bullet to the back of the head, if he was lucky.

For the first time since he was 11, Frank started to cry.

The Grand Master, his face unclear by the lighting nodded. "No problem with the government thing. We can use this field, though. Very descreetly, of course, but use it all the same. How many places in Cherry do you know of that can be safehouses for our brothers?"

"In the northeastern region there is a huge mountain range. They can hide in there. The rest of the whole north is basicly forest, with a New England/Canadian type climate. Towards the south, there are beautiful beaches and a Meditarrian climate. They can blend in as tourists. There are also offshore islands all up the Ridgian Coastline. I would avoid the bigger ones like St. John Berchmans, towards the middle of the country and up there are a few tiny ones that are home only to birds."

The Grand Master nodded. "Good. It is best to stay away from the deserted islands, though. People would get suspicious if someone suddenly started using them. Now, you, personally, do you have control of an armed militia?"

"No, not anymore. They were wiped out by the Ridgian Army about a week ago when they raided meetings across the country."

The Grand Master nodded.

"Unfortunate, but no worry is needed. We can start shipping in soldiers into Cherry Ridge. We must act quickly and quietly. I believe this meeting is ajourned."

The Grand Master nodded. "This is unfotunate, but for saftey reasons, I can understand. Now, I'd say it is time to start moving troops in. You will lead the Masonic troops in, as you know the territory."
