"It is time, revolutionary comrades, to cast aside our bonds with the pretenders and to set forth with our true comrades! Together, we will spread word of the true revolution throughout this great region of ours, and create the Worker's Haven we have always dreamt about! For the Revolution!"
"For the Revolution!"
A scene that used to be common only on street corners and attended by few, now drew frenzied masses to hear the "Legislative Speeches", conducted by Legislator Comrade Gary Powers. With his final "For the Revolution", guns came out of pockets and were unholstered as the crowd made their way up into the upper floors of the complex to the President's Office.
Up the stairwells, militia officers simply stood their ground, taking no action at the unruly mob. They too believed in the words of their idolized Legislator Comrade. With a final kick at the plain wooden doors on the top floor, the armed mob had stormed the Office of the President of New Haven.
"We demand plebiscite! Cast aside the pretenders! Do it for the Revolution!"
President James Newman sat in shock as the crowd flooded in, waving guns in the air and chanting those words over and over again. He withdrew a slip of paper from his file cabinet, made sure it was an Executive Order form, made sure it was the correct format and signed it. New Haven was now on its first step to leaving the USR.
