Just One More Time (Imitora Begins Preperations for War)

Secret IC

The two figures walked through the park, a nice, quiet, peacful, and above all private, place. The two figures pulled the heavy coats they were wearing closer. It was odd, three weeks left till the Imitora spring started, and it was still snowing heavily. However, it wasn't the weather that the two were talking about.
"So you sure you can do this? This isn't as easy as pinning it on a single individual. We're talking a full nation here, one that will probably fight back. I mean, I'm not at all worried about the fighting, you know I can hold down my part of the bargain, but will we get Fratelli to bite? She's young, but smart."

The man speaking was Adm. Thomas Dodge of the Imitoran Navy, and commander of all Imitoran Military Forces. He was, in peace time, a Five Star Admiral, and in war time, a Full Fleet Flag Admiral. He wore his usuall dress blues, and a dark blue great coat. His hat was pulled low over his eyes.

"Positive. I know Fratelli. Shes a smart girl, really, but it wont be to hard to convince her that Fultonia is behind this. She's never trusted them, and to be honest, no one in Imitora really ever has. Anyways, even if people did, we did trace that one terror action back to a Fultonian territory, so I'm not worried about her not buying it."

The woman speaking was young, attractive, and above all, deadly. Holly Lutz was the current acting Chief of Operations with Imitora Central Intelligence. She had completed a more than enough training exercises, and real life operations, to earn the title. Her peacoat was pulled tight around her upper body, keeping the cold wind off her. Her hair fluttered out behind her. "I'm not to worried about this at all. In fact, if Fratelli needs convincing, we can just fake an attack. Bomb a school or something. THat alsways riles the people up."

Dodge wasn't suprised to hear such a comment from a woman who had shot an innocent in the face in order to get a confession. Hell, he was suprised she would go on such a small scale. "Right. Well, get the papers ready, I'll go ahead and tell her the news."

Holly nodded. "I'll get right on it. Should we go ahead and get 'more proof' now or just hope she buys it?"

"Lets hope she buys it. Otherwise, she'll want to start doing raids here, and that would take op the use of the 22nd, whose doing arctic training for the other action." Holly nodded in agreement.

Fratelli nodded in amazment as Dodge told her the news. "So you have solid proof here that Fultonia was directly behind these attacks? I mean, I dont wanna go in if its not them, just assumptions. Can we get positive id's from Holly?"

"Already did. I was as suprised as you, I thought we were all buddy buddy. She sent them to me, jsut to get my advice, before sending them to you. I haven't called her back yet, I came right over. She didn't want to recomend military action without my approval." He handed over a folder full of documents. "This is everything we have as of now. Locations of camps in Fultonia, recorded conversations between Jeferson and the leader of the cell, stuff like that."

Fratelli was in amazement after looking at the documents. "How long has this investigation been going on? I didn't authorize it."

"Bout five months. I know you didnt authorize it. Holly told me she did, that we didn't have time to wade around in red tape. She wanted to make sure nothing like the last airport attack would happen. It was for the nation."

Fratelli nodded. "I guess your right here." The stress was starting to build. She sighed audibly, rubbing her forhead. "Ok. I'm putting you in charge of this. But leave the 22nd alone. Jerry has pull on them for Operation Garden Snake." Dodge nodded.

"I'll get right on it Madam First Speaker."

As he turned to walk out of the room, Fratelli spoke again. "Tom," she never used his first name, "these people killed Imitorans. Innocent Imitorans. I want you to end their world." Her voice was, for the first time, cold. Her normally deep blue eyes were light, and empty.

Dodge nodded. "I plan to ma'am."

10-02-2005, 01:03
Brigadier General Kevin Bligh gripped the control column of his AFD-14 Skyfire fighter, cursing quietly as he burned another hole in the sky. At that moment, he felt four distinct emotions as they warred for supremacy within him.

The first emotion was thrill. He would actually get to fly in combat and not just that, he would lead a hand picked air wing (two of them, actually) into combat.

The second was fear. Stealth had been almost a necessity and his aircraft were most certainly not stealthy. What they were, were some of the best equipment his nation could put forth. People overlooked the dedicated, lavishly maintained and equipped Adejaani military forces at their peril. True, his nation never sought glory or a large military, but what they had could still come back and bite you.

The third emotion was loathing. There had been a time, Bligh noted angrily, when the Adejaani Air Force flew from proper air bases. Then came the realignment of the forces and now the AAF were responsible even for the Navy's carrier air wings and indeed, anything that belonged in the air. He'd almost belted one snotty Naval Petty Officer who'd sniggered quietly, thinking he couldn't hear.

The last was resentment. Unlike his spaceborne counterparts, the terrestrial earth bound forces had almost stagnated, become second class citizens. Sure, they had good funding and equipment, but they had been denied 'true' combat situations. Not even a peacekeeping operation, let alone a proper conflict.

Bligh 'trapped' aboard the ANS Lambert, one of two carriers in this operation. The rest of the escorts and many pilots were conducting training exercises which was putting a strain on everyone, but like professionals, they just simply shut up and went about their business.

Rear Admiral Bob Danforth was hunkered around a large map table with his staff when Bligh went up, shaking Danforth's hand. The orders were implicit. Do nothing yet. If the Fultonians commence hostile action, you may take whatever means necessary to defend yourself with appropriate force. Support the Imitorans, but do not engage or provoke without further authority.

Bligh looked at Danforth and he got a look in return. Both were older, balding and greying, the former with a slight tummy, the latter as thin as a beanpole. Without a word, both men shared the same though. Why bother spending hundreds of billions each year for a military if we're never once going to use it?

Both were professionals, though both wondered who would through the lit match onto the trail of gasoline already on the floor.

The waves crashed against the hull of the George W. Bush class heavy destroyer, the Northampton. The gray ship powered its way through the waves of Northampton Bay. The ship moved slowly through the crashing waves, the captain standing on the bridge, watching the waters ahead of his ship. It was a single ship, moving out towards the open waters, soon to be changing home ports. Its new home, a port in Imitoran held Hodgania, was only a three day sail away.

The captain was looking over maps, with ship positions around Fultonia outlined. Most were Adejaani in nation, a few were Fultonian. He sighed. "They're a bit over zealous. I mean, did we even officially tell them we were moving in?" He shook his head, and walked over to the computer communication device. He punched up a message, and sent it off to Dodge.
-
The message was recieved by Dodge, who sighed as well. The Adejaani were of course over zealous. Every time they got involved, they went in a little fast. Of course, thats why they were good allies.

He quickly wrote up an official comunique and sent it to the Adejaani Military Command, officially telling them about the invasion, and inviting them to assist in the military actions.

OOC: Shitty post, I know, but I just cant think of anythign right now.

"Officially we now have orders." Bligh grumbled and handed the message back to Danforth. "I'm glad they came in secret and told us! Our military hasn't exactly atrophied, but we're hardly in a capable state! Yes, Admiral, we can fly off the carriers and we can do missions, but we're not an effective fighting unit. We've had these two weeks to train up and we needed every minute of it."

Danforth nodded. "And we now have our marching orders." Danforth led the way outside, to the starboard catwalk. He'd been a cruiser commander all his life, with a cautious streak, which made him more than ideal for this mission. "Remember this, Kevin. The best way to work diplomacy is quietly and behind the scenes. So when they come out and make the announcement/request, there's already an agreement."

Bligh nodded curtly as the nuclear piles were brought to power and boilers were lit. At least those Navy pukes sail smartly! They'd better keep my planes in the air! With only flashing lights, the Lambert Battle Group sailed out to sea to make rendezvous with their Imitoran counterparts.

A modest group. Two carriers, twelve cruisers, a dozen destroyers, six submarines and two replenishment ships. The Adejaani leadership still didn't want to fight a full scale conflict nor commit more forces. As the Adejaani mainland slid below the horizon, the owners of the eyes watching that event wondered if they'll ever see their homes and families again.

Bottom woke up a little dizzy not realizing he had drifted off to sleep while reading his book. The Vice-Presidential phone was ringing. “Bottom speaking.”
“This is Hobart, we have reports of Adejaani ships near the coast of Coastal City.”
Bottom was tired, “That means what exactly?”
“Well sir, last time we were attacked it was from a rogue nation off this same very coast. We were never able to pinpoint exactly who aided in their attacks sir, yet they were able to decimate us. Literally, by the second wave ten percent of our population was gone. I’m saying that this is a threat we should take seriously, Adejaani is a long time supporter of Imitora and other nations that have proven hostile to us in the past.”
Bottom knew the President was busy trying to get laid, “Under my authority reactivate the Special Operations Fleet and put it under the command of Admiral Sanchez. I want them flying Ambassadorial colors; he is our new Acting Ambassador to Iansisle. Send the entire fleet to the Gull Republic to open relations. I want all three Sky Fleets in the air and off toward our regional allies. Call up all reservists and active members of the military as well. I want press releases sent out to all stations stating that the nation is about to participate in a terrorist war game. Secondly contact all State Governors and the Territorial Leaders. Hobart, I want all of our “émigrés” on alert as well. If war breaks out contact all nations with nationals in our borders and their countries of origin. I’ll contact Jefferson as soon as he’s done with his ball.”

Hobart had known the job as National Security Minister would be tough, but this was insane. A potential war, viral outbreaks, negotiations, and blockades. One tough job.

As the movements began, several satalites in action over Fultonia began to record the images of movement among the troops. In Imitora, the imagaes were being analyzed and documented for when hte shooting started. Meanwhile, preperations for the First Speaker Victoria Eala Powell carrier Battle Group were being made. The group would set sail after the Seventh Column and the Autumn's Pillar began bombardment of Fultonia bases, which would comence shortly. The two Projection groups were nearing Fultonian waters, and it was only a matter of time before the combined Imitoran/Adejaani attack began.

OOC: Shity post yes, tons of time, no.

The dark blue waters lapped along the side of the large ships as the plowed through the ocean. The tri-hulled ships pushed the cold waters away from them, slowly bobbing as they moved towards their target. At times, dolphins would appear, and dance along the sides of the ships. The sailors, while not getting distracted from their duties, watched the dolphins, to them a sign of good luck. The large ships sped through the blue seas. Theres was not a mission of diplomacy, peace, or assitance. It was a mission of war.

The two large fleets, each consisting of several ships, were meeting with an Adejaani fleet to begin military operations against the nation of Fultonia. The dogs of war again barked, and this time, they barked towards the once allied nation of Fultonia, who had been convicted by the Imitoran governemnt of harboring anti-Imitoran terrorists. Upon movement of the Adejaani fleets, Imitoran satalites over Fultonia picked up the start of mass troop movements.

The sail took less than five days to complete, with a total of 44 ships sitting of the coast of Fultonia. The ships were massive, with large guns, and multiple missle launchers, and helipads holding light attack helicopters. The lead ship, a Levitahn class cruiser, The Seventh Column, sat slightly forward of the rest of the group, which had assumed a disperssed, yet still close knit for air defense, pattern. The battleship began a radio transmission to the government, letting them know what was about to happen.

RE: Terrorist Actions

It has come to the attention of the Imitoran government that you are harboring multiple members of several cells of anti-Imitoran terrorists. We are here to fix this problem. We require that you submit to us the right to fully search any and all military facilities, any and all lists of expendatures for us to go over in detail, and search and seizure of all sea and air traffic. Further, we will require exactly 22.9 trillion in reperations for deaths and expendatures caused by said terrorist groups. Please reply promptly.

RE: Actions against Fultonia

The Fultonian government will grant a force of no more than 25,000 Imitoran troops access to all bases and military facilities however we need clarification as to the amount of reparations to be paid to your Imperial Nation.

Respectfully,
Minister of Foriegn Affairs Wheatly

After promptly sending the following communication he ordered all scientists within Fultonia to begin helicopter evacuations and called Bottom.

The phone rang twice before being picked up, "Yes" the deep scraggly voice came across from the other line.

Wheatly paused momentarily, "Sir Imitora is on the move."

"Evacuate all Anoran Offices, all senior officials are being sent to an allied nation. We have less than an hour to be airborne at best. These pricks don't play around."

"Yes Sir."
----------------------------------------------------------------
All over Anora Senior government officials were being dragged out of thier houses by the Special Tactics and Rescue Squad of the Anoran Police Force and herded into vans being shipped to Rendevous Alpha. Bottom was personally overseeing the extraction.

Vega looked over the return comunique. A watch man was looking through a pair of heavy duty binculars at the coast. "Defenses look light sir. I think we can take them hard and fast."

Vega nodded. "Lets see how far we can push them, then move from there. Sound good?"

The watchman nodded.

RE: Actions

While I appriciate the effort you have made, I'm affraid it is not enough. I am under command orders to land no less than 500,000 operational personel in order to secure all information we need. Further, we ask that you put a hold on all shipping traffic so that we may begin search of all in bound and outbound ships. Also, we ask that you imidiately ground all air traffic. Please notify any in or out bound ships and aircraft that if they do not follow procedures, they will be registered as a target threat, and fired upon. Thank you.

To Imitoran Command,

The Grand Republic has been authorized to allow you to land an initial force structure of 100,000 men. As far as air traffic is concerned all flights currently inbound will land under thirty minutes. We do have Iansislian Staff that are currently flying toward the Gull Republic. They have just finished take off procedures and are currently flying east from Anora. All other traffic is being told to halt although some some fishing vessels and recreational vessels may not be able to recieve the communications. As far as the reperations are concerned exactly what amounts at what times are we speaking about.

Respectfully,
Minister Wheatly

Bottom and all Senior Officials were in planes heading toward Iansisle. Jefferson was in command of all military units. All fleets previously ordered had reached their target destinations except the Special Operations Group which was still en route to Iansisle. All told some 300 government officials were flying toward Iansisle. The Scientists weren't able to make it off the ground before the no fly policy was instituted. Well, sucks to be them. He sipped his cheap brandy and wondered what Amspoker was doing.

Admiral Danforth flicked ash from his cigar carelessly into the sea as he leaned forward onto the railing. "Diplomatic tightrope. On the one hand, we can't follow through... If we back off, we'll have the Imitoran Navy putting us into Davy Jones' locker before we can blink. Even our orders aren't helping. Escort. We send our fighters in to 'escort' the Imitorans and patrol and we get fired upon... We have to do something otherwise we'll get bitten in the ass."

Bligh shrugged. "Then let's play police. Our only involvement is a patrol of a 'no fly zone', local Fleet defense and..." He shrugged again. "Escort. As long as the Fultonians get smart and don't fire on us... We should be okay. I think we should have Rules Of Engagement which state categorically that we don't take offensive actions at all against them. Sit back, relax and watch the show."

Danforth snorted. "Chances are the Imitorans will fire at us anyway just out of spite for not doing anything. But... That's Adejaani for you."

FtAdm. Vega looked over the current radar situation. "They just don't want to cooperate, do they?" He sighed, looking over several computer readouts. "Put two Archangelsks up, chase down the ones trying to bug out on us. Contact the Adejaanis, ask them to inforce the no fly zone, we dont want any Fultonian fighters in the air if we have to start shooting."

"What about us and the other boats sir?"

"Begin initial targeting, put the guns on their major bases, missiles on infastracture units like power and water plants. We also want to hit highways and rail ways, keep them from moving supplies. The Powell and her group should be here soon. When they get here, we'll be able to hold air supperiority."

The XO nodded. "I'll order it right away, plus get in contact with the Adjs, sir."

Vega nodded, and the XO left his quarters.
___

On the deck of the Spectator STOVL carrier, two F/A-96E Archangelsks launched of the short pad, speeding towards the aircraft that took off before the enforcement of the no fly zone policy. Satalites and the control tower from the small carrier guided them in, and they came in hot, shooting up behind the airliners.

The pilot of the lead of the two fighters dropped in behind one of the airliners, and began to open broadcast. "Diplomatic flight, you are hearby ordered to land, or we will be forced to open fire. Please dip your left wing if you understand, and we will reroute you to an airport."
____

While the Adejaani fleet was being notified of their job to enforce a no fly zone policy, and help police the ports, another message was being sent out. However, this one was from Imitora, and not to Adejaani, but to another ally, Iansisle. It was straight from Fratelli, and not from any Secratery or Assistant, and adressed directly to the King, but not Bradsworth.

The Ambassadorial Unit actually consisted of three planes. Republican One, and two smaller civilian transports. Jefferson was in direct contact with the pilot, "Greg send a message to the Adejaanis stating that hostile action has been taken against a neutral Ambassadorial Flight heading toward Iansisle over international waters. Ask them for escort status. Send out another open communique that the last message was not recieved due to static caused by the shots fired."

"Sir we'll do"

"This is Ambassadorial Air Corp One, we did not recieve all of the last message due to static caused by shots fired. Please repeat."
Greg changed the frequency

"To all adejaani units in the vicinity of this message hostile action has been taken upon a neutral target over international waters, we request escort out of target zone."

Jefferson ordered that all military personall get into forward combat positions.

Bottom was coordinating all units that had previously been sent from Fultoni. The Air Corps were in allied territory, and the Ambassadorial Fleet was almost within Iansislian waters.

The pilot of the lead fighter chuckled. "Looks like they wanna play games out there, Mongoose. Let's show them how we play."

The second fighter accelerated forward, and dropped infront of the lead airliner, opened the side weapons door, and armed two of its AMRAAMs, letting them slide out into the air stream, making them visable to the pilots. The lead fighter opened its centerline weapons bay door, and two AIM-9x sidewinders popped out, still on the rails. The targeting alarm alerted the pilot that each missle had selected a heat point on the airliner to hit. The pilot spoke again.

"I repeat, this is LtCol. Mike Davidson, Imitora Naval Air Force. If you do not turn around now, we will open fire."

Jefferson was wiring Telegrams to his regional allies when the message came over the box. Jefferson looked at Bottom, he clicked the communications box on his desk. "This is President Jefferson of the Grand Republic escorting priviliged foriegn dignitaries to thier country of origin. We can not comply with your order to return to Fultonia although we will arrive in Iansisle within the hour. We would appreciate a military escort."

Bottom loaded his pistol and went back to talk to the foriegn dignitaries, they were all being strapped into safety and evacuation outfits.

The other two planes picked up to to full speed and began to break away from Republic One.

"I don't like the smell of it," said Rinehart bluntly. "Fultonia is still hosting émigrés who are actively conspiring against the Revolution, and this stinks of an Imitoran set-up. If President Jefferson comes here, Imitora may take it as an excuse to invade. We've seen how effective our countermeasures are at repeling Imitoran incursions in the past - not at all."

"I don't understand how we've been caught up in all this," said Appleton, the Director of the Gallaga Office. "Why Fultonia? Why come to us - we can't offer any real protection."

"We can't turn they away at the border," decided Bradsworth after some thought. "I doubt the entire RIFC could reject a Fultonian squadron should they decide to force their way."

The other directors nodded; they had come to the same conclusion.

"And if the Imitorans press?" asked Rinehart, voicing every man's concern. "They've never even recognized our government - we can't afford a third war."

"We'll cross that bridge when we come to it."

-----

The Directors were still in council when the Admiralty sent a messanger over with dire news.

"Sir, an Imitoran squadron has intercepted the Fultonian transport en route. There may have been shots fired," he said, without the pomp and circumstance which the ancien régime would have demanded. "We estimate their arrival in an hour. Admiral Lord Westergate would like permission to send up a Noriker squadron."

Bradsworth inhaled deeply. "Tell Lord Westergate to keep his flyers on the ground - there is nothing that can be done to help them by us. I want that Fultonian transport directed to the nearest dock - where would that be? MacMillan?"

"I believe so, sir."

"Then tell the Fultonians at once - God, what a mess!"

Although one copy certainly did make it to James, the staff at Dûn Ádien - whom Bradsworth seleceted personally - made sure that a copy also made its way to Jameston Place.

James read it curiously. He did not know much about the nature of the Fultonian-Imitoran War (though he supported Fultonia simply by gut instinct) and wasn't quite sure what to make of the curious telegram. This damned constitution had taken nearly all the power out of the Iansislean monarchy; all he could do was forward the message to Bradsworth.

Meanwhile, the government in Jameston Place was far too busy with the crisis over the Western Marches to reply to First Speaker Fratelli.

Davidson sighed. "Ok Mongoose, break, give me some room here."

"Roger that Tasker, breaking away to return to loose double etch." The Archangelsk in front of Republic one banked, and retarted the throttle, slding beside the airliner before falling back behind the other Archangelsk.

Davidson got on the radio to Vega, direct line. "Containment, this is Razgriz six, I'm with Razgriz five here. We have target lock on fleeing aircraft, they have failed to obey orders, request permision to fire. Repeat, request weapons free."

"Razgriz, weapons free."

"Roger."

The Archangelsk slid back, arming one of its AIM-9Xs, and selecting the outer most engine on the left wing. The idea was to down the plane in the water, without causing to much damage to make the plane unlandable. He had selected Republic One, seeing as it was more likely to be carrying less Iansilanians.

"Ok, Razgriz one, Fox one."

He pickled the thumb trigger, and sent the missle into the engine of the airliner.

The plane immediately banked left and began to go down very fast. The Pilot manuevered his way around the debris falling from the left wing. The plane was definitely slower and harder to control but Greg had seen combat on two fronts before this selection. He quickly stabilized the plane and his co-pilot shut down the the fuel being sent to the non-existent engine. To compensate he had to slow down the rotations on the right engines. They were flying low but still making good time.

"To all interested parties: Diplomatic immunity, international law, and soveriegn respect has been broken in an aggressive act of war. Republic One is damaged but stable. make your way to the emergency exits and embrace for impact."
----------------------------------------------------------------

The impact ahd sent the secret service team flying to the ground. The lead man had cracked his skull and lay bleeding to death as a combat medic came to patch him up. Jefferson began to move toward the back of the plane with Bottom following right behind. The secret service and military personall began to move with them. Jefferson came to Elizabeth who was being strapped into an MPLD. "Lady Liz would you like to accompany me as I leave this plane?"

The Marquess of Westergate paced impatiently across the echoing floor at Fort MacMillan as he waited for the latest reports to come in. This was interminable: an Admiral's place was on his flag bridge, he assured himself, not at some land lubber's paradise.

"We have confirmed shots fired by the Imitorans, sir" called out the radranger officer. "The Fultonian flyer is hit - it looks like she's going down."

"Damn this buisness," growled Westergate. "Flight officer! Put up the intercept squadron at once!"

"Aye aye sir!"

"Yeoman!" he called. "Yeoman!"

"Yes sir?"

"Make to fleet: 'Build up steam at once and prepare to sail for Southern Strait.' Encode that and send it off at once - oh, and prepare me transportation to Harbor City. I'll sail with them."

"Aye aye sir!"

"Begging the Admiral's pardon, sir," said Tillman, the base commander, in a timid voice, "but aren't we under orders not to provoke the Imitorans?"

"Hang the orders and hang the politicians!" replied Westergate with a snort. "Tillman, I want all your rescue craft to weigh at once and search for survivors - we are on a recovery mission, but I want to give the Imies hell if they ask for it."

"Your car is ready, Admiral."

"You have your orders, Tillman. I'm off to Fleet - see that they are carried out."

"Aye aye sir. You can trust me, sir."

EDIT: forgot part ;)

Elizabeth had only been on a modern aircraft once before - coming from the Shield to Fultonia. Frankly, the prospect of a return voyage (especially one at such altitudes and such un-Iansislean speeds) scared her witless, but she had known that Jefferson had only her best interests at heart.

And now here she was, plunging to her death over the Western Marches, doomed to a sailor's grave. She wasn't so much panicked as shocked at the sudden end to her young life; Elizabeth couldn't hear Jefferson's words, but just took his hand and let him guide her.

DNS Cyclops - Spartan Class Frigate - International Waters just outside Fultonia.

Commander Bailey sat uneasily on the bridge of his ship. His orders were to monitor the current situation in there neighbours country and with all that had happened recently what with the blockade of Fultonia and a no fly zone being put into place by Imitora It looked like conflict was soon to follow. The radar operator had reported a Fultonia airliner taking off with escort but it was later idented as Republic One. The radar operator watched the screen for a while board out of his skull until he saw 2 contacts appeared behind Republic One.

"Commander We got 2 bogeys strafing Republic One. They have active target lock sir."

"What! Radar we need an ident on those bogeys pronto."

"Sir, aircraft configuration suggests F/A-96E Archangelsks."

Bailey’s eyes widened. It had to be Imitora going after the Fultonia President. Before he could say anything his fears were conformed.

"Sir bogeys have launched. Republic One is hit and going down."

"COM's get on the line to high command and tell them what’s happening."

The Com's officer nodded and stared to talk into his microphone telling the person down the line what was going on.

Dominion High Command - Redon - Mental Lands

“Someone had better have a good reason why I was dragged away from my holiday!”

Yelled Emperor Shaun Padley as he marched into the main situations room. Head Minister Mike Williams was there along with the minister of Defence Kerry Pullings. Mike was the first to reply.

“We got problems in our backyard. Imitora just attack the Fultonia President. They already have Fultonia under siege.”

Kerry Spoke up

“We have mobilised the Supremacy carrier group but 17 ships won’t be enough to deal with the entire blockade and it will be a week before the rest of the 1st fleet returns from exercises. We could bring the dictatorship carrier group around with the second battle group to reinforce the fleet for a t...”

Shaun raised his hand to cut off Kerry.

“Hold on a second. Fultonia haven’t asked for our help yet. Yes keep the Supremacy group on standby and keep the 4th, 9th and 17th interception squadrons on alert 5, but we are not going into where we are not wanted.”
The 2 ministers nodded and backed off going back to there business. Now all they could do was wait and see what happened.

Jefferson firmly grasped her and pulled her up into his arms carrying her down a flight of stairs and into the kitchen area. He strolled through toward the back of the plane into the luggage area and waited as his military handlers opened Escape Pods 1 and 2.

Each was a submersible or land escape vehicle that could fit up to five people comfortably.

The door flew up and into the ceiling and Jefferson strapped Elizabeth into the farthest back chair. Jefferson took his seat beside her and the three frontal seats were occupied by a combat physician, Air Force Police Lt., and a secret service operative. Jefferson dialed in the codes activating the orbital missile platforms preparing them to be fired on his command. "Liz, it'll be fine sweetheart." Jefferson firmly grasped her hand, his daughter hadn't made it to the evacuation zone but there was no way Elizabeth wasn't going to make it safely back to her homeland.

Bottom was busy taking the front navigation seat. He ordered his escorts to take load thier weapons. If he was caught he was going to die fighting. He only hoped Jefferson would be able to make it to Iansisle. They were about 20 minutes away flight speed and maybe a day submersible travel.

After Bottom was secure both doors were shut and the pods prepared to launch.

Meanwhile, Greg was struggling to maintain flying speed and was only about 200 ft from the ocean ceiling. He was trying to pull up while not flipping the damn plane. If they flipped it was over. Just when he thought he had the plane under control the left engine began to show signs of instability. If he couldn't pull the bird up soon it wasn't going to make it.

He flipped on the emergency beacon and sent out a communications signal, "This is Republic one, we have taken fire and are unstable. Left wing about to fail and right wing beginning to crack. Only minutes left till plane makes ocean contact. We are inside international waters heading toward Iansislian territory. Diplomats from said country are in danger, repeat Iansislians in danger from Hostile Forces."

The statement was half true, and half truths hopefully would prevent the dicks from sending a missile into the heart of the plane. He was drenched in sweat and his co-pilots were calibrating instruments left and right.

Jennifer had been here the last time Fultonia came under attack, the difference was that her father had been there with her. Now she was in a dark bunker filled with a hundred strange military personell plotting courses and sending out signals. All of the sudden the place went a bright red and the speaker box started spitting out words: ORBITAL MISSILE SILOS ACTIVATED, PREPARED TO LAUNCH, FIGHTER SQUADRENS BEING ACTIVATED.

A short, but rather handsome young man, came walking into the room and sat down beside her. "I'm Ryan Hobart, your father's national security advisor. Is there anyhting I can get for you?"

Jennifer was a lonely young girl of seventeen and all she wanted was some affection. She wrapped her arms around his waist and laid her head on his chest. Hobart was thirty and not entirely sure what to do, he held her tightly against his body and lay down on the couch with her. "it's alright Jen. We'll be ok." Probably the biggest lie of his entire life, in the last conflict only some 20 chaplains made it out of the combat zone alive. The Imitorans were a nasty and brutish sort of people. Uncaring and most importantly amoral.
----------------------------------------------------------------

In every military base across Fultonia fighters were taking to the air patrolling the skies. The Fultonian fleets still patrolling Fultonia began to gear up for war. All military personall began to gear up and head for strategic locations in country.

The vast Fultonian police forces also began to gear up and prepare for the urban conflict they all suspected. In many cities Fultonian Police units were more highly trained than the regular military. Big Brother was locked and loaded.

The fighters watched as the plane began its descent. "Alright Mongoose, I think that they'll follow orders from now on. Lets bug."

"Aye aye," the other pilot responded, and the two Archangelsks banked away from the slowly falling airliner. "Want me to put through a rescue call?"

"Go for it Mongoose."

Lt. Ryan "Mongoose" Chepman wondered about his last squadron commander at the moment, LtCol. Christin "Fireball" Chaffin as he put through a rescue call. He doubted that Vega would send any ships, he couldn't spare any. He sighed, and followed the lead plane back to the light carrier.
__

Vega checked the readouts. Another fleet had moved in, a small one at that. It was close to the size of just one of his projection fleets. Further, the Fultonians were running air patrols, in clear violation of the no fly zone. He checked his standing orders regarding the situation, and decided on his options. First, he could just simply wait for the Powell battle group, which according to current reports, was just over a days sail out. The Fultonian fighters had no chance to hold with a few squadrons of the Archangelsks. Second, he could start shooting now. It would piss off the fly boys with the Powell battle group, but make their lives easier in the end. His third option was to work out a landing strategy. That would have to wait.

He could start engaging fighters now, but he didn't have enough fighters in the few STOVL Carriers he had, and needed a full sized one. He sipped a cup of coffee, and looked out his window as the two fighters swooped towards the STOVL Carrier, comming in to land. "XO," he said to the other man in the room, "I want you to start aiming."

"I've already taken that liberty sir. The guns are all aimed at major targets, bases situated within cities to cause the most effective damage. The VLS Systems are aimed at both logistical centers and air basses. All are carrying the HE warheads, going for maximum damage. We also have a few set up with Antisat capability, our KMAVs have designated at least three target satalites that would be benificial to hit."

"Ya know, your working real hard to get my job." Vega chuckled, and took another sip of his coffee. "Very well XO, excellent job. Weapons free, lets soften them up for the fly boys."

"Aye sir."

"Also, keep on eye on this other fleet thats moved in. I want up to date reports on them. Keep one ship ready to fire at all times, I dont want any suprises. Lets do this by the book."
__

In the two fleets sent, there were 4 Levithan battleships a piece. That came out to a nice round eight of the massive battleships. Each had a total of fifteen massive guns, Ballistic International Mk.10E 550mm/64 ETC Rifled Naval Cannons. The large guns had an optimal effective range of 200km, and as soon as the order was given, the began to bark, sending off the massive rounds towards their targets, basses located in or near cities, in order to cause the most damage. With a 3RPM rate of fire, the shells came down in droves, some with incindeary warheads, others with HE. A combonation of satalite guidance and GPS targeting put the deadly rounds right on target.

The other major gun of the ship were the eight Ballistics International Mk.5 Dual 155mm/64 ETC Naval Gun systems. They too barked round after round at closer targets, but mostly at the nearby ports, aiming at ships and dock structures.

However, those werent the only things the Levithans were shooting. They were also popping of small amounts of cruise missles from their singe 144 cell launcher, and four 48cell launchers. In totall, the Levithans fired off a combined 550 HE missiles, and continued the inital barrage of gun fire four fifteen minutes.

They weren't the only ships shooting, however. Each group had four of the Sabre class guided missle destroyers, and they too were letting off missile after missile. In all, the eight Sabers launched over 1000 missles towards air bases, logistics centers, and infastructure bases (water/power plants, TV stations, government buildings...). They were also firing their main gun, a 1 x D/P 6”/52 Mk.3 Electro-Thermo-Chemical Naval Gun System, at ships in near by ports.

The other 8 guided missle destroyers, Centaur-X class ships, were firing as well, but a lesser amount. They instead fired their cruise missles straight up. They were armed with antisatalite guidance systems, and were homing in on space based platforms. Each ship launhced fifteen, the idea being to swamp the satalites' defensive systems.

There were other ships in the group that weren't firing. The Revenge class destroyers' guns were quiet, waiting for the Mental Lands fleet to make the first move. The Lion class frigates were forming a protective barrier around the Formidable class STOVL carriers, who were were preparing fighters for SEAD operations, the Wild Weasel style operations made famous in the Vietnam Conflict. ANother Formidable was preparing for Combat Air Patrol, preparing to enforce the no fly zone rule in conjunction with the Adejaani fleets.
_

As the guns roared and missiles flew off, a young ensign approached Vega. "Sir, this just in from ICI military operations. Looks big sir."

Vega looked over the information given to him by the ensign, and nodded. "Well then, it looks like they want to play hard ball. Well, we'll play hard ball back. I want all intercept systems armed, and send up the Archangelks with bunker busters. Forward this to the Adejaani fleet, and tell them to get ready to pull out all the stops."

"Aye sir," the ensign replied before stepping out of the room.

Above this mighty armada of military power, three Kazakhstanian F-45's, the standard patrol group, flew at 150 miles from the recent shootdown. These guys were trained to take notice of anything, and report it back to HQ.

"Sir, did you see that? The shoot down, I mean."

"Hell yeah. Can't miss a Airliner going down, but I can't really find the attackers. Theres a couple of small blips to its rear, fighters, definately."

"Yeh, I've seen signatures like that before. Next-gen fighters."

"Well the things we are flying are next gen, too. I'm going to radio back to HQ, then we fly intercept. We've got the fuel."

The message sent, informing High Command of the massive fleet presence and shootdown dear Fultonia, was read and sent to high command within minutes. Within that hour, a Spec Ops team was ready to insert, to find out what was behind the war.

Meanwhile, the three F-45's went on intercept, getting nearer and nearer the scene of the shootdown. They had their Athena Units on, to guard against long range search radar, but anything short range could see them.

What the saw was very surprising, especially for HQ when they heard the news. A massive bombardment of Fultonia. By Imitorian ships.

"Shit." Said the Flight Leader.

The expanse was huge and terrifying, though strangely comforting and welcoming all comers at the same time, threatening their envelopment in the vast distances of eternity. Yet through the inky blackness of space moved the smallest of objects, a metallic object, unassuming, all knowing. The only sounds it made were undetectable in the vacuum of the heavens and its movements were tiny as it went about its inexorable existence.

The PW-19 spy drone was part of the fledging Regional Defence Force and was barely two weeks old as it floated silently over the world below. The leader of the nation it belonged to was fully commited to vastly improving the security of his homelands and his neighbours also, and this small pawn in his plans had already repaid in kind the vast sums of money lavished upon it.

Now gliding over it's newest ally, Fultonia, the tiny probe and its masters were unprepared but not incapable to deal with the vast amount of information it now sent back in incrypted codes to the receiving station miles below.

*City of Psychopaths, Fuhrer Bunker*

The Fuhrer yawned lazily and stretched with no real conviction as he prepared for what he assumed would be an uneventful day. Wearing his newly tailored and pressed suit with a smile that told passers-by on his way to his office that today was going to be a good day, he strode with confidence and a swagger to the large hall not far away.

Pushing back the oak doors that lead to the underground complex he was greeted by his Foreign Secretary, Helmuth Seeckt, a man who evidently didn't share the Fuhrer optimism for the day ahead.

"Sir, a situation has arose which needs your attention. Somethings sparking off in Fultonia"

Tom grimaced as his ideallic visions for the advancing morning vanished.

"Oh, Jesus. Now??? Christ, does this job get any easier."

Following his friend and colleage down to the War-room he frowned as he was greeted by the assembled staff and military chief of his government.
Sitting in his well-worn chair he began to browse over a large dossier slapped down on his desk by an impatient junior minister.

"An intelligence drone has reported back to the receiver in Rastenburg and it doesn't look good, sir. The Fultonians are engaging in a large scale military build-up, following the shooting down of a flight of domestic aircraft. Lastest reports suggest that the coastline is rapidly disappearing in a bombardment we haven't encountered since Adelaide Islands. Sir, if this blows over and envelops into total war we could be right in the firing line."

Having changed into a worried and disgruntled expression the Fuhrer thumbed worriedly through the documents.

"Massive naval presence. . . . air-fleets preparing. . . Gentlemen, what are our options???"

A diplomatic minister jumped forward.

"Sir, we cannot afford to leap in with our forces heavily involved in Neuvo Rica and our economy unprepared. We must use diplomacy and keep out the way."

As always an army chief of staff rushed out to counter.

"This is right on our doorstep, sir. If we don't do something decisive right now then I can't tell you what might happen. I can have troops, ships and aircraft ready and on its way in 48 hours from our rapid deployment groups. We issue an ultimatum, but this is too big for diplomacy now. This is the time for action."

Having finished his scanning and assessing of the situation, the Fuhrer was in no doubt.

"Gentlemen, we have to pinch this in the bud whilst it is still young. General Young, prepare those men I need them ready in 24 hours max. Emissary Kahn, you have 24 hours to work your magic."

One Field Marshal Ludz looked at the HQ Report in front of him, aghast. Why must the world go to war, all at once? He had just rapped up major anti-kurd operations, and a conflict in Mexico, but this way totally out of the blue.

An attack had, however, looked likely for years, but not right now. No, definately not.

He had to make a decision, as to act or sit back and watch. All his staff had advised that he use a passive military force, just to help where needed. And that would be the approach he would take.

And so, he ordered the posting of two Alpine Class Nuclear Destroyers be posted on station with Special Forces groups on board, a light assault carrier battlegroup be posted to the region and a Naval Attack Squadron be on stanby at all times.

And so, the first cogs of the Kazakhstanian War Mahine went to work.

It was amazing, the effect that an Admiral’s word could have. The eighteen major ships of Home Fleet lay in the roads with their destroyer screen, oil smoke issuing from their funnels as they awaited the order to weigh. HIMS Indomitable’s barge was waiting for Westergate as the Admiral’s car arrived.

As his boat zipped across the water, Westergate took stock of the fleet. There was his flagship, the brand new battleship Indomitable, and her sistership Resolute, fresh from their working-up in Troobodia Bay. Here was Sir James Redford’s battleship the Princess Royal, every hint of her fateful encounter with the Gurney painstakingly purged from her hull. There was the battlecruiser Queen Jessica, his brother’s command, whose tall mast flew the green ensign of Vice Admiral Jones of the First Battlecruiser Squadron.

At last, he was being piped aboard Indomitable; Jones’ green ensign came down the mizzenmast and Westergate’s red ensign rose as the Admiral was rushed to his flag bridge. The Indomitables had been specifically designed with flag operations in mind; the advanced center had the wireless units, radranger displays and other electronic goodies needed to fight a fleet in a modern war. Nevin, Westergate’s flag lieutenant, spoke almost without ceasing as they hurried through the narrow corridors of Indomitable; ratings jumped out of the Admiral’s way and saluted.

Just as they arrived at the flag bridge, Nevin got to the one really important bit of news:

“...and, sir, Jason just reported full steam before Your Lordship arrived. The fleet is ready to sail.”

Westergate nodded. “Very well. Give Captain Vess my compliments and inform him that he may weigh anchor at once. Yeoman! See that relayed to the fleet as well.”

The two men “Aye Aye, sir!”ed and went about their respective tasks. Very soon Nevin was back: “What formation shall we take once we clear the roads, sir?”

“Have Princess Royal lead a standard line of battle. Admiral Jones’ squadron will flank the line to port at - oh - one thousand yards. Keep the docks well behind the line and to starboard. Standard cruiser and destroyer formation. Also, Mr Nevin, inform all commands that we will be taking the southern straits. Tell them to make turns for twenty six knots.”

“Twenty six knots, sir?” asked Nevin respectfully. “At those speeds -”

“Yes, yes, the fleet’s hydrophones will be useless. You have your orders, Mr Nevin.”

As one unit, Home Fleet built up speed and headed for the Western Marches.

Over the crash sight, the Norikers turned gracefully around from their intercept course and guided a Spirit to the crash sight, where the twin engine torpedo bomber dropped a smoke flare. The billowing clouds directed in the good ship Bicycle, which spent most of its time as one of His Majesty’s revenue cutters.

The Orbital Missile Silos began firing the Republican v-35 Missiles at Imitoran positions. The missiles were mutliple warhead pinpointed attack probes that once within range would break into 20 smaller missiles that would extend up to a 25 mile and no less than a 2 mile dispersion zone. They carried with them the power of 10 tons of tnt. The three silos automated defenses detected the shots fired and launched immediate countermeasures and began atmospheric shift procedures. Each missile silo held a total of 50 missiles that were launched at the Imitoran positions. The missiles fired at the silos by the Imitorans made good time and completely overwhelmed thier defenses. Missile Silo A unloaded 48 of its missiles before being destroyed, Silo B unloaded 36, and Silo C unloaded 29. The fireballs unleashed in the massive explosion could be seen from the ground as a bright blue flash that flew across the sky.

The major Fultonian capitals and bases were in shambles. Reports coming into the National Security Office reported that the major western ports were completely destroyed. The First fleet was in good shape and heading towards the invasion force. The Second Fleet had taken flack but avoided any major damage. Casualty reports indicated several hundred thousand dead. The major cities were without power and water as fires raged across the cities. All Fultonian air units were converging in the western deserts and heading toward the Imitoran Agressors. Some of the fighters were having to land in airbases along the way to refuel but all units were taking to the air. Any bases not hit in the initial invasion were sending all air untis into the air. Construction crews were setting up mobile bases while all armor and infantry units were evacuating bases in favor of the wilderness and suburbs.

The fires were burning in Fultonia and the smoke was lifting into the sky.

The plane was holding steady and Greg had sent his flight crew to prepare to exit the plane. "This is your captain speaking. I am about to decompress the plane opening all emergency exits. Everyone is to follow the instructions given by the Military personell. God Bless the Grand Republic."

He began flipping the switches and one pod then two flew out of the back of the airplane. The plane began to tremble and all six emergency exits blew out into the ocean. Greg was using every bit of his massive arm strength to hold the controls and the plane was still yawning left. He threw the engines off completely and began to lift the controls. Hopefully thsi would give the passengers enough time to escape.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Jefferson's head was thrown back into his seat and he felt the sudden rush of G's and felt very disoriented as the pod begn to sink into the cold blue sea. His pilot was manuevering the vessel away from the plane and the last thing Jefferson saw was people jumping fromm the plane even as pieces began to break away. He hoped Greg made it out ok.

Bottom was veering his vessel as far away from the President's Pod and he not only had his encoded frequency triggered but an open one as well. He was hoping that if the Imitorans sent a "rescue" team they would pick him up.

The warning klaxons rang out as the warheads screamed towards the ships. Each ship carried with it five cruise missles armed with the MAD, or Mass Area Denial, war heads, high explosive plasmatic war heads that, on detonation, would melt anythign that flew through the ball of pure compressed heat and energy. It would be akin tor trying to fly through a star. Each ship launched one, programed to explode at an intercept point with the incomming bogeys.

As they exploded upward, tearing through the sky towards the incomming sharks, several of the ships armed their secondary missile intercept system, the Falltech 3.2 MW Carbon Dioxide ‘Crystal’ Lasers, a laser intercept system. Each small ball turret opened the lenses to full power, and sent a super concentrated beam of light energy towards the sky.

Upon explosion of the MAD war heads, only incomming bogeys remained. Three were destroyed by the lasers, however, five made it past. The JOCIWS opened fire, unleashing missile after missile and round after round in order to intercept. One was hit, the close proximity of it, melting the paint of the starboard pylon of one of the Levithans, another loosing its intercept system control. The crew quickly switched it over to manual, and hoped that the years' worth of computer training would allow them to opperate the guns and missile intercept systems perfectly.

However, the final war head made it trough, and slammed straight into the center of one of the Formidable STOVL carriers. The flight in had disabled its war head detonater, but it was still moving fast enough to rip straight through the small carrier, putting a large hole in the center, sinking it. All hands were lost.
__

"Adm. Vega," an officer called out. "We have confirmation of incomming enemy fighters. Should we launch sir?"

"No, the Powell is still a few hours out. Lets screw these guys. I want you to keep five of the MAD war heads ready to fire into the fighter group. I want the rest to be fired at every major city, standing or not. Set the missle to explode at five feet above ground level."

"Aye sir!"

"And tell the Powell that when she gets here, she'll be running SEAD."

"Aye sir."
___

On every ship, three of the four remaining MAD cruise missles lept from the launchers, and screamed towards a different city. Each one would explode with the power of a thousand low yield nuclear weapons, and each would have the heat of a hundred suns.

However, the cities werent the main target of the ships. Satalite and radar readouts had pinpointed the exact location of the two fleets. THe first was just inside 200 miles, but the second was much closer, 80 miles. There were eight Levitahns in all, and four were assigned to each fleet. In fact, they had now split the two projection fleets, and one was assigned to each in comming fleet.

Both sets opened fire, with guns and missiles. The Levithans let loose with their massive guns, accurate to 200km (500 with an assisted launch), and missiles, one hundred a piece. The guided missle cruisers also let loose, sending another 150 missiles a piece towards each fleet, also firing their cannons. The smaller destroyers huddled in closer, moving to protect in case the other fleet, from Mental Lands, moved to engage.

In all, there were 1600 anti shipping cruise missles screaming towards ships in each fleet, while also keeping up naval gun fire, raining down a hail of rounds on each fleet. The Levithans, kept up the fire the longest, with near a thousand rounds from each beingg fired from the main guns, and 800 each from the smaller guns. The other ships also fired, raining down 250 rounds a piece on each fleet.

OOC: Bad math comes to about 4000 of the uber big rounds, and 5200 of the smaller rounds on each fleet. Come by my room and I'll get ya caliber sizes. When I get back from Jeff, I'll post about sending a rescue ship.

Eight of the nine major industrial centers of Fultonia vanished within a second. The city of Nev was completely annihilated. Reports were slow in coming and Anthony went into frenzy. They were protected by the Presidential Bunker but at this point roughly 200 million Fultonians lay dead. In one strike 10% of the entire population lay dead. Reports were Telegrammed to all allied nations that Fultonia was requesting full economic and military support. Anthony wished the President had fought for nuclear capacity, but instead he had compromised and built the freakin air fleets.

Vega watched on satalite video feeds the carnage. "They should have just played along," he sighed to himself. "Weapons Officer, how are we doing?" he called out on the bridge.

"Sir, it's gonna be a good ten minutes before the guns are cool enough to start firing again, and we're low on ammo. Maybe one and half, two barrages left at most. What your order sir."

He thought for a moment. The Powell fleet was now just over an hour out, and then the real invasion would begin. "I want to issolate that other enemy fleet. ICI has been saying that the Fultonians are asking for help, military and economically. Lets finish cutting off one head before we start the other. Tell all ships to launch the MADs against the Fultonian fighters, and have teh Sabers and Centaurs look at the Mental Lands ships."

"Aye sir, I'll dispatch the orders right away."
__

The Sabers and Centaur-Xs sprung into action at the orders. On their last of two legs with the VLS systems, they loaded the smaller sets with anti-shipping missles. As they were finishing their loading, the slightly smaller guns began to rotate. They drew beads on the Mental Lands ships, and began to fire, sending off round after round of HE naval shells. The automatic guns, smaller than the main guns of the destroyers, also began to fire, their smaller rounds ripping the air, screaming towards the Mental Lands fleet.

Less than 20 seconds into the barrage, the VLS doors opened, and the Anti-Shipping missiles screamed out, banking just above the ships, and flying towards the enemy ships. In all, 110 missiles flying towards the fleet.
__

The other major launch was the last set of MAD, or Mass Area Denial, missiles, which sailed through the air on a collision course with the incomming Fultonian fighters.
__

The ICI had also ordered an attack of sorts. Far above Fultonia, beyond the visability of the human eye, five satalites slid through the inky darknes of space. Three of the five were KMAV-887 hunter/killers. They began to actively search for space assets involved in the fight. Each -887 had a two stage system. First, a quick, pinpoint shot of an EMP Laser to knock out the enemy satalite's system, then it would fire one of its five Antisat rockets, modified AMRAAMs, basically, at the enemy info gatherer.

The other two were KMAV-889 interceptors. Each had a high powered carbon dioxide based laser, that fired a high powered beam of light energy, with the ability to knock out ballistic launched missiles. The five satalites began transmiting with two KMAV-664s that had been gathering information, such as balistic launch sites and other satalite presence over the area. The five KMAV-88 serries went from stun to kill, as was said in ICI, and began hunting.
__

The single Virginia VIII class hunter/killer/attack submarine slid through the water at a speed of just over 110 miles per hour. This was slow for the supercavatating sub, but it was fast enough to give it a rough estimate of just under an two hours before arriving at the sceen of a splash down. Two loud splashes had been recorded, and the sub, under orders from Vega to moniter the area after the shoot down, had picked them up.

They were in a race to beat other ships there, with the hope to pick up the Fultonian prisoners.

OOC: Hey buddy i haven't launched the carrier group yet there still in harbour but i suposse i will do it for you.

Things were going from bad to worse in the situation room. Shaun glared at the red dots on the Ladar map table in front of him. Over the past hour the bombardment of Fultonia had increased dramatically with little sign of stopping. As soon as the bombardment had started the supremacy group and all other ships were scrambled to action but for now all that was defending invasion point bay was the supremacy group. Now it seamed that Imitora had turn there attention to mental lands.

Kerry looked at Shaun impatiently.

"We just got the word that the Imitoran's are now targeting our ships."

The phone rang behind her. She picked it up and then put the hand set down on the table.

"Ok now they have opened fire on our fleet and requesting clearance to release firefly missiles."

Shaun’s face suddenly became devoid of all colour from this news. First they attack Fultonia without a reason they are attacking us. What a day!

"Absolutely. Completely annihilate those ship's if they are stupid enough to attack us. While your at it send immediate air support to Fultonia. This just became our war to."

------------------------------------------------------------

The small carrier group suddenly felt like they were in a heavy hail storm with shells came raining down around them with missiles following. The 6 Spartan fleet defence frigates sprung into action activating there powerful ECM's hopefully screwing up the enemy cannon guidance systems while at the same time launching there sirens decoys to throw off the missiles. One of the delta class ASW frigates was struck several times and exploded in a fiery rage. Next up the missile barrage was easily dealt with. Using the aegis tracking on the 2 Aliegh burke destroyers tied into the Spartans RAM launchers The Rim missiles shot down 32 of the incoming missiles while the combined goalkeeper and phalanx cannons on the fleets ships finished off another 47 missiles. The surviving missiles took down 2 Longbow class cruisers, 4 Spartan frigates and the final delta class Frigate. Now with the diminished ECM one of the Aliegh burke class destroyers was taken down by shell fire.

Now it was mental lands turn to show these amateurs just how navel warfare had advanced beyond the need for ship mounted cannons. The frigates and destroyers opened fire with there 114mm (4.5inch) Model 8 rapid fire cannons which were Ladar guided, deadly accurate and could spew out 72 AP shell’s a minuet (Sorry buddy but HE shells really don't have much effect against modern warship armour.) The longbow cruisers had 2 of these cannons mounted in a double barrelled turret.

These however were not the main weapon as the longbow cruisers contained the Firefly missiles. They were modified SS-N-22 missiles with Fuel-Air warheads. Fuel-Air Explosives [FAE] disperse an aerosol cloud of fuel which is ignited by an embedded detonator to produce an explosion. The rapidly expanding wave front due to overpressure flattens all objects within close proximity of the epicenter of the aerosol fuel cloud, and produces debilitating damage well beyond the flattened area. The main destructive force of FAE is high overpressure. In short a non nuclear Atomic bomb and will wipe out all ships within a 100 meter radius of the missile. The longbows carry up to 20 of these missiles in there VLS launchers

The 4 remaining cruisers launched all 80 of these missiles which accelerated to mach 4 attack speed. Soon the enemy fleet would be going up in flames.

---------------------------------------------------------------

While back in mental lands 48 MF-38 Vagabond interceptors Screamed off the runway and turned towards Fultonia to offer air asistance. Meanwhile troops and equipment was also being prepared to ship out if an invasion ever took place in Fultonia.

OOC: Based on your earlier post, it made it look like your fleet was right there and ready to start shooting.

IC:

"Cruise missiles? With FAE war heads? Thats the best they have?" Vega asked, watching the ball turrets move around, beep, then move again, beep, then move again. The FAE incommings were dropping like flys as the Carbon Dioxide lasers ripped into the incomings, evaporating them into early explosions, far enough from the fleet to render them useless. "Are they still using prop planes as well?"

Of the eighty missles, three got through. One over shot its target before detonating, not doing much damage other than melting the paint off one of the Sabers, and cripiling the JOICWS on two of the Centaur-Xs. One of the FAE weapons struck a Levithan dead on, blowing its starbord pylon off. A third exploded right over a Formidable, but teh sealed weapons containers, deep within the ship, survived the blast, and while the superstructure of the ship was heavily damaged, it held up enough to float.

The ships that came under fire from guns alone recieved minimal damage at best with their Titanium VA and Ballistic Ceramic and bracketing a layer of condensed horizontal Titanium Carbide rods that broke up most projectiles inside the armour belt. That, and the trimarian design, kept the main hulls of the ships from recieving major damage. By now, the main guns on the 8 Levithans roared to life. The fifteen Ballistics International Mk.10E 550mm/64 ETC Rifled Naval Cannons, with in-built EM rifling, began to rain fire down ontop of the surviving ships of the enemy fleet. Each gun, 120 in all (8 ships, 15 a piece), fired at maximum sustainable speed, 3RPM, and held up the barage for a full 20 minutes, letting off the 3000kg shells with amazing acuracy.

The other gun of the Levithans, the eight Ballistics International Mk.5 Dual 155mm/64 ETC Naval Gun systems, also opened fire. At a combined rate of fire of 90RPM on each ship, they too let loose rounds towards the Mental Lands fleet. All 60 guns sent rounds ripping through the air.

Those same guns were also the same one mounted on the Sabers and Centaur-Xs. Those that were still operable after the strikes opened fire on the mental lands fleet.

The Levithans also let fire with their Falltech ‘Spirit’ Heavy ASMs. Each had Eight missiles on board. The large ASMs with a warhead of 1,200 kgs and a semi-ballistic flight profile, sped towards the Mental Lands fleet, 32 in all, each ship launching half its carry.

The Sabers and Centaur-Xs also launched half of their remaining ASMs, lighter Harpoon missiles. A swarm of 110 missiles left the ships.

Vega watched as the ships took, and returned, fire. He smiled at his fleet, knowing that the Powell was currently in the process of preparing their weapons for combat. He had already radioed ahead, and the missile ships in the group were preparing their MADs for launch against the enemy air craft and ship.

OOC: wtf Do you know anything about a FAE weapon and what do you mean still. These weapons have not been used in naval warfare and only recently entered service in Afghanistan where when the US need to completely obliterate an entire town. Like i said earlier "Fuel-Air Explosives [FAE] disperse an aerosol cloud of fuel which is ignited by an embedded detonator to produce an explosion. The rapidly expanding wave front due to overpressure flattens all objects within close proximity of the epicenter of the aerosol fuel cloud, and produces debilitating damage well beyond the flattened area. The main destructive force of FAE is high overpressure. In short a non nuclear Atomic bomb and will wipe out all ships within a 100 meter radius of the missile." So the main property of the explosive insert the fireball but the massive shockwave that is realised by them which measures to the explosive pressure of a small atomic weapon you TIT. Even if it didn’t hit your ship the shockwave would have ever smashed through your armour would have capsized your ships. Plus fireball superheats the air around it to 500 C and would ignite your shies fuel and don't go 'BUT my ships are nuclear powered' because it would cause shells and missile warheads to explode to. Also for the best anti ship missiles are ramjet cruse missiles like the SS-N-22 which has been dubbed the “aegis killer” by the US navy as it uses ramjet engines so it goes at mach 4 to fast for the phalanx cannons and ESSM’s to shoot down most of the time. But the largest missile can carry a 700Kg warhead and that’s the SS-N-19 garnit which is so big that only the kirov battle cruiser and the Russian aircraft carriers can use them. if you want something that carries a 1,200KG warhead your going to need a missile the size of a SCUD which would be to slow and to inaccurate to offer any real there to a ship. Oh and I love your lasers just tell me how you can fit one on a ship when the smallest one can barely fit into a 747 and lasers and do you know why they mount them on aircraft. Because lasers only are effective as a weapon at high altitude where the atmosphere is thin and the air ionises. Also you would need a lot larger than just a small turret. One your current size would have an effective range of about 3 meters if you lucky. You might as well make an entire ship into a floating laser platform but it would still be pretty ineffective at low attitude Especially at sea level where the air pressers is quite high. Evaporating the missiles you say. No! You can’t liquefy metal with lasers. It’s a nice thought but its simply not practical so sorry mate but your last post is ignored until you go to physics class. Oh and by the way your HE shells you launched would be pointless as HIGH EXPLOSIVE shells would just explode on the superstructure causing minimal damage. Which is why most ships use AP or Armour Piercing rounds I only took casualties to be fair but common most of your ships are completely useless hiding behind technology that is not possible EVER (Plus CO2 makes a lousy laser try Deuterium or iodine next time.) This rant was brought to you by mental lands. we may get back to you when i cool down after your last post

IC: The news of the increasing hostilities reached the ears of Emissary Kahn in no time. With only 3 hours remaining to the PW ultimatum and the country getting involved in a second war it could do without, the news hit him like a speeding train. Rushing through his office at breakneck speed with the telegram more or less worked out in his head, his didn't pause except to put pen to paper frantically. Finally the piece was completed and rushed away for transmission.

Warring nations and fellow allies,

On behalf of my government and the name of sanity, I stand before you to plead for peace and to urge you all to reconsider your positions of war. This conflict you are setting out was unprovoked and un-called for but there is still time to call a halt.
Before the blood of innocents further stains your reputations, you must halt all violence and air your differences around the table of diplomacy. Don’t let your anger cloud your judgement.

All the best, Emissary Guenther Kahn.

Military bases in and around Psychopathic Warmonger

As the clock ticked inevitably downwards, the preparations for a military intervention were commenced. Although in no position to enter into total war, the Fuhrer felt that it was imperative that actions should be undertaken to protect his fellow region member.

So, the generals and admirals were roused into action and the Psychopathic Warmonger war-machine, already in top-gear for actions in Neuvo Rica prepared to make way for a second emergency. However, the final outcome depended solely on the impact of the diplomatic telegram broadcast to all nations involved . . . . .

OOC: Info about the Levithans. This should help you comprehend why your fleet did so little damage. Remeber, I have 8 of these things in the water (with one operating at 82% capabaility, the other at 75% after your initial attack). This will explain the lasers, the armor, and everything else you may have questions about. I can supply you with further info about my ships if you wish.

Armor: Like the Doujin, the Leviathan carries an armour belt comprising multiple layers of reinforced Titanium VA and Ballistic Ceramic, bracketing a layer of condensed horizontal Titanium Carbide rods that can effectively break up most projectiles inside the armour belt. Multiple layers of insulation, coolant gel and heat treated lining provide limited protection against high-yield and high temperature explosives such as plasma based warheads (Or in the modern tech case, FAEs). There are also multiple sensor pads within the belt for effective damage control. Several ‘cover’ layers with limited RCS reducing properties are carried primarily for ease of maintenance. Hull life, in maintained form, is estimated at 150 years.

As with the Doujin as well, in order to support the heavy frame a honeycomb network of supporting beam and lattices is installed throughout the ship, along with a displaced keel set high in the central hull for added structural integrity and protection against torpedoes. The framework is made from Titanium VA, and is more flexible and damage resistant than the pure Titanium frame on the Doujin. The system also allows for the more effective dissipation of force across the ship from missiles impacts and from the huge recoil of the main artillery pieces. The addition of shock dampeners within the framework significantly improve this ability, and the use of these new techniques and materials means that the Leviathan’s frame is stronger than that of the larger Doujin Class

Lasers: The ship has two new laser weapons from Falltech. The 3.2 MW Carbon Dioxide ‘Crystal’ Laser is mounted in the rear superstructure, topped by a standard ‘Ball’ type mirror assembly to allow easy omni-directional targeting whilst the laser itself remains secure within the ship itself. This arrangement allows for both ease of maintenance, protection for the laser and for faster tracking and engagement. The laser has a range of 100km in ideal conditions and has successfully engaged ASCMs, ballistic missiles and even a ‘Rod from God’ titanium penetrator (Which move faster, are bigger, and a bit more heavy hitting than a ram jet with an FAE warhead), although the effect was negligible on the target itself.

Four smaller 500 KW Carbon Dioxide ‘Deadeye’ Laser CIWS is mounted on the extreme points atop the superstructure, and with a lowered laser aimed using a ‘Ball’ mirror assembly, it is a reasonably reliable, fast tracking and engagement CIWS system that has, in trials even engaged targets as small as a 6-inch shell. Note, this doesn't include a listing of JOICWS weapons.

Thats why your FAEs hardly made a serious dent in my fleet. Now, before you say, do you even know how an FAE works? Yes, I do. I've been using them since I started this game in place of nukes, but now that I'm using plasmatic warheads, and starting serious research into antimatter warheads, I dont use them anymore. Like nukes, I find them outdated and to expensive for what they are. I'm taking my time on the AM weapons though, becuase that would seriously push me from 2020 at the latest to 2050 at the earliest, and I dont wanna jump that far.

Next IC (war) post will deal with my carrier group arriving. Let me give ya the numbers ahead of time:

3 Ocean Class Carriers
1 Leviathan Battleship
4 Centaur-X Destroyers
8 Sabre Destroyers
8 Revenge Destroyers
8 Ardent Frigates
12 Clan Grant Replenishers
8 Trident Submarines

I'll give a list of capabilities when they show up.

From the First Speaker's Desk

Emissary Kahn,

I'm afraid that while I personally would have prefered a peacefull solution to the problem at hand, I cannot, for the safty of my country, call of my naval forces in the area. The Grand Republic has harbored anti-Imitoran terrorists for quite some time, and after requesting that they allow us in to solve the problem, they refused. I am acting here only in the best intrest and safty of my nation. I would have also prefered that FtAdm. Vega, the commander of naval forces in the area, had not fired on your ally, but again, he acted in what he believed to be the best intrest of his sailors and Marines. He would not have attacked unless he felt absolutely nessacery to do so. I appologize for the lives lost on both sides of this conflict, and hope that further loss of life in minimal, for everyone involved. With Respect

OOC: well i apologise for my poor typing because I am dyslexic. And no I'm not a 3rd grader I'm in college now.

Now to your laser answer OH you’re a 2020 nation WELL that’s ok then because the laws of physics have been repealed (Sarcasam if you didn't pick this up.) I'm not saying that laser doesn’t work and I really wish you would read posts rather than skim through them. Lasers do work but in HIGH ALTITUDED where the air pressure is low and the atmosphere is more capable of ionising to carry the tremendous amount of concentrated light, which is a laser beam. Down at sea level you would need to generate a massive amount of power to create a laser beam that would be able to travel about 1 mile due to HIGH AIR PRESSURE!!!!!!! Technically you would need a nuclear generator for each laser for it to have the desired effect. Oh and please tell me what power source do you have for your ships Quantum Singularity chamber.

Next up we return to the FAE weapons and NO WAY would your armour abort that amount of energy. like i keep saying THE FIREBALL isn’t the main source of the destruction. The rapidly expanding wave front would latterly crush your ships if a warhead hit a ship because the explosive pressure would ether just crush the ship or it would expand through the hole created by a object travelling at mach 4 and basically implode the ship either way it is clear that you don't actually understand what an FAE is. Also this might be a shock to you but metal conducts heat! if the air around the ship was cooked to about 500C then the ship would heat up (And don't say my amour is ballistic ceramics because you have already admitted to having titanium composite. plus the rest of the ship will be built out of good old steel because there is nothing better REGARDLESS OF YEAR!) and a 500 degree C ship would cause the diesel to ignite and the closed pursuer of the fuel tank would just make it another Large FAE!

We return to your missiles and low and behold you have used plasma weapons. dear god do you know anything of the word science. Yes I to use plasma but do you know what plasma is. It’s ionised gas. The effect of plasmatic warheads at low altitude would be very small and would burn a small hole in the side of a ship. I would like you to read up on the US militarily test on plasma on HIGH ALTITUED MISSILES. You want my advice pall go to space were lasers and plasma weapon is effective. but what’s this you said you stuck a 1,200kg plasmatic warhead on a tomahawk like missile. WHAT an idiot. A 1,200Kg plasmatic weighs surprisingly 1,200kgs and a missile the size of a tomahawk would not have enough space for a warhead that big plus the size of the engine would be to small to carry this weight over a distance. Now do I have to give you a lecture on the basics of gravity or can you work it out yourself. and even if it did reach its target the Gas can't ionise properly in the high pressure of low altitude and so really its a very expensive firecracker.

Well your lasers have not been able to shoot down six inch shells because it your small laser would NOT BE ABLE TO SEND A BEAM FAR REGARDLESS OF POWER SUPPLY. You would need a large projector at low altitude for a sustained beam to travel far. its not a case of good technology its a case of the beam will lose strength after just a yard. SO yes you need a large projector if you plan on hitting it before it gets to close. Now my goalkeeper CIWS guns can shoot down six inch shells. Thank you Royal Navy R&D.

So If you do plan on making up weapons please research them first. Oh and I will post losses later.

Now to your laser answer OH you’re a 2020 nation WELL that’s ok then because the laws of physics have been repealed (Sarcasam if you didn't pick this up.)
No, but being the fact that I'm FT, its much easier to push the laws

I'm not saying that laser doesn’t work and I really wish you would read posts rather than skim through them. Yes. I understand that. And I can generate the power. You say I'll need a nuke to power each one to get those results? Well hey, what do ya know, I have six of them on each ship. Right now, the ships arent moving, so I can divert the generator power from the ones not propelling the ship to the lasers, while still having plenty to power the elctrical systems of the ships. You may know physics, but you obviously dont know logic or common sense

Oh and please tell me what power source do you have for your ships Quantum Singularity chamber.
The Leviathan is powered by six Thompson Engineering R-27 175 MW-rated Pebblebed Reactors (license produced Scandavian models) for a combined useable power output of 1026 MW at full running

Also this might be a shock to you but metal conducts heat! if the air around the ship was cooked to about 500C then the ship would heat up I'm just going on what I was told by who designed the ships.

(And don't say my amour is ballistic ceramics because you have already admitted to having titanium composite. Like the Doujin, the Leviathan carries an armour belt comprising multiple layers of reinforced Titanium VA and Ballistic Ceramic, bracketing a layer of condensed horizontal Titanium Carbide rods that can effectively break up most projectiles inside the armour belt. Read. Yes it has Titanium Composites, but it also has ballistic ceramic.

plus the rest of the ship will be built out of good old steel because there is nothing better REGARDLESS OF YEAR!) Actually it is made of the Titanium VA

and a 500 degree C ship would cause the diesel to ignite and the closed pursuer of the fuel tank would just make it another Large FAE! Yes, but at the same time, your assuming the ship wont cool itself down through the coolant sections of the frame work. And again, they arent powered by fuel based engines.

We return to your missiles and low and behold you have used plasma weapons. dear god do you know anything of the word science. Yes I to use plasma but do you know what plasma is. It’s ionised gas... Just going off what I've read. Most of what I've read regarding this stuff, again, goes to modern technological limitations. Now then, I'll go back, and talk to the other person I develeped these with. Oh, and before you call me an idiot...at least I can write like an adult.

Now do I have to give you a lecture on the basics of gravity or can you work it out yourself. and even if it did reach its target the Gas can't ionise properly in the high pressure of low altitude and so really its a very expensive firecracker. So have you not been reading anything as of yet where I use them as AIRBURST WEAPONS! Shit son, do you not read period?

Well your lasers have not been able to shoot down six inch shells because it your small laser would NOT BE ABLE TO SEND A BEAM FAR REGARDLESS OF POWER SUPPLY. You would need a large projector at low altitude for a sustained beam to travel far. its not a case of good technology its a case of the beam will lose strength after just a yard. SO yes you need a large projector if you plan on hitting it before it gets to close. Now my goalkeeper CIWS guns can shoot down six inch shells. Thank you Royal Navy R&D. Fine, I'll talk to the person who designed the ships, and figure it out. Until then, it stands as they work, and they shot down most of the missiles. Based on the amount of these lasers I have, the fact I let any of your missiles through is to the fact I was hoping to avoid bitch fest 2k5.

Oh and I will post losses later.
Please do.

((See, this is EXACTLY why I don't RP modern tech. <_<))

Alas for the Virginia class sub, it was in a race that it would likely lose. His Iansislean Majesty’s Navy and the Royal Revenue Service, unlike so many aspects of the Shieldian government, was well on top of the situation. The smoke dropped by the Spirit guided HIMRS Bicycle, which had been searching for Tharian smugglers of the Arm, straight to the crash site. The small vessel - hardly more than fifteen yards long and narrow of beam - could reach speeds of well more than thirty knots, comparable with a Navy destroyer, and reached the downed Fultonian aircraft inside of twenty minutes, at which point survivor rescue techniques were employed.

One hundred and fifty miles to the north, Home Fleet charged through the placid waters of the Western Marches at twenty six knots. Most of the fleet had been on twenty minutes notice for steam and had been ready to weigh almost before Lord Westergate arrived from MacMillan. It would still take them nearly six hours to reach the crash site, of course, but various other destroyers and even the light cruiser Elemental, which had been helping the RRS, would arrive much sooner.

The asistant paced outside of the door waiting for the meeting to be over suddenly the door opened. Through it stepped the comanders of the armed forces followed by the president. "Mr President I have an urgent situation may I speek with you sir." "of course, of course come in." The president walked back to his desk sat in the large chair behind it and lit a cigar "well sit down, quite acting so damn nervious" "yyyes sir" the assistant studered as he carefully placed himself in the chair. "Mr President the situation involves our long and always reliable allie Imitora" he paused and fumbled through some papers. "well man what is it!!!" the President exclaimed. "Sir it appears that they have taken action against Fultonia for harboring anti-Imitorian terrorists, Sir" " I am well aware of this My Fulbrite what is your point." "well sir we have recieved confermation that other nations surrounding Fultonia have placed ships either in route or on alert to counter act the Imitorians ships sir." " Oh this is a grave day Mr Fulbrite." the president said as he rotated his chair to look out the large window "Grave indeed. he said as the smoke from his cigar billowed over the chair and towards the ceiling. "Mr Fulbrite inform the my cabinet and the nation that I will be making an address this evening, oh and cancel my appointments for the rest of the day" "as you wish Mr President." The President paced around the office and collected his thoughts and soon the cameras were ready for his address. "ok Mr President your on in 3, 2, 1,"
" My fellow Brockmolgians we have been informed of a grave threat that been issued against our allie the Imitorians from the allies of Fultonia. This is a dirrect result of the stance Imitoria was forced to take against Fultonia's terroristic intentions. IC: Danforth looked harried. Already a thin man, his skin now seemed shrivelled and sunken in. The Adejaani Task Force had so far been left alone, a thankful consequence of those ships increasing its distance from the Imitoran force. Bligh looked even worse, having to fly and had even less sleep.

"We're keeping up this so called police zone, roughly to the east of the Imitoran forces. Unfortunately... Our equipment has been breaking down a lot and not a few Fultonian refugee aircraft have slipped out through our zone." Bligh said with an absolutely straight face. "Radars failing to lock on, engines flaming out, missiles not able to fire..."

"None of which matters considering the slaughter that's taking place." Danforth sighed. At least he could honestly say he was intercepting everything that came from Fultonian territory... Even if they couldn't stop them. "Continue salvage, search and rescue operations."

Someone nodded and relayed the order. Adejaani S&R teams had picked up about a dozen various survivors from aircraft which had been shot down in the sea. After a quick medical checkup, they'd been flown off. Somewhere, anywhere, just away from the war. Whether they chose to seek asylum/refugee status... They could. But for now... Danforth strained to save as many as he could... He just hoped the Imitorans didn't notice.

Finally she spoke her tone of voice matching the disappointment on Kahn's face.

"What shall I tell the Fuhrer? He knows its arrived."

Rolling his eyes Kahn got up and paced round his desk.

"Tell him . . . . no, thank him for getting us involved in a situation which is spiralling out of control with every passing second. We must'nt get involved, but I can't see him standing by and watching whilst his allies are destroyed."

He watched her hurry off and realised that his sentence was not well put.

"Wait Jenna, I'll tell him myself. Telephone for my car if you would"

Grabbing his coat, he closed the door behind him and made for the front of the building.

Yeah, I know. The thing is, we are both in the same fraternity, and his room is right next to mine, so I know that he has had plenty of time to post even a minor post.

Oh, gotcha.
Maybe knocking down his door is an option then!!! :D

Do you bump into him a lot?

OOC: Take you all night to figure that one out, lol? Just check us out...www.wcmo.edu

IC:

The guns of the large ships were quiet as the Victoria Eala Powell CBG rolled, or more properly sailed into position. The Fultonians had bowed in the presence of the Imitorans, as was expected. Their opwn guns were quiet, airfields ablaze, and bases demolished. Their infastructure had been anhilated, the country was in ruins. As the fires burned in the ports, the CBGs slowly entered the shallow waters. The Imitorans had won. As was emlazened in many places across their nation, they had come not to bow, the came to conquer, and conquer they did.

Vega smiled. "Well boys, lets wait for the Brockmologians to get thier troops to land, and we'll move in afterwards. This should be easy, let them get some combat expierience."

As night fell the planes left their bases with 2 million paratroopers holding 20 in each plane. Around midnight the planes were close to Fultonia. Leutenant Jackson looked around at his men he knew they were close and could see the nerviousness growing in his mens eyes. He knew they were the best trained and backed by Imitorians. But training is one thing combat is another he thought. The squadren leaders of the lead planes watched the map and the landscape "ok men lets break into formation" the large armada then divided in half have to the north and the other to the south. The squadren leader watched his radar to make sure positioning is right and the formations were holding. "squadren alpha you are approaching the drop zone switch to red light and deploy on target" "yes sir" alpha leader replied, "squadren bravo you have reached your drop zone switch to red light and drop imidiatly" "yes sir bravo replied" "ok boys we got the red light stand up and hook on" the door then opened and the light went green "GO GO GO" leutenant Jackson yelled. The planes emptied in the north and once again in the south and the men slowly drifted towards the earth. Leutenant Jackson looked down as the ground slowly came up to him to which he landed with a thud he looked around as men floated down around him. "sir what are your orders" Captain Meade responded " gather and load weapons and secure a perimiter and be ready to move out here in two hours. I want all divisions and platoons in order and I want communications brought up. Oh and when thats done inform the major that we have arrived and will inform him of when the area is secure and it is safe for his arrival." "yes sir we will be cocked locked and ready to rock by 0300 sir." the south squadron landed behind the beaches to clear for the landing of the Imitorian CBGs. "General Lee Sir" major Grant said "we have cleared the landing area and are ready to press north at your command into Fultonia" "sounds good" the general replied " inform Imitoria that we have made a sucessful invasion of the north and the south and are waiting for there forces to arrive before we press into Fultonia itself. " Flag ship of the Imitorian Navy this is Major Grant of the Army of the Armed Republic of Brockmology we have secured an invasion of the North and of the South we are awaiting orders and your troops before we proceed with operation night wolf. I repeat we wait for your troops and orders before we proceed with operation night wolf, over" "sir I have broadcast to the Imitorians" "excellent major now all we can do is wait"

It had been three days since the guns of the Imitoran ships had barked with fire. Today was another quiet day as fighters slowly swam through the sky towards the Fultonian bases. But they were armed lightly, at best. After days of shelling, missiling (not a real word...TILL NOW!), and bombing, the nation was in ruins. Brockmologian troops had moved in, and began taking cities. From one of the several Imitoran ships, MV-22I Osperys lept into the air, carrying troops into the capital and other important cities.

Fultonia had fallen after only a few days of battle, as was expected. Now, it was up to Vega to finish the war. He watched as troops on nearby ships loaded on to their small transports to began the initial security operations in country, and got on an open satalite channel. He began to send out communiques to the Psychopathic Warmonger and Iansislanian (all though that would be on radio), requesting that they meet in order to began peace talks over the conflicts end.
