Power rankings based on my opinion of

- your OOC intelligence (hey, you might be ranked lower because I don't know you very well, not because you're not smart ;))
- your IC RP and IC speaking ability (again, low ranks mean I haven't seen much of your stuff)
- your country's age (lower ranks usually mean you're not experienced on the battlefront)

Again, if you do well in the first one or two matches, you'll be ranked higher on the next power ranking. :)

OOC: Sorry I ma posting In here, However I am 100% Sure I signed up Before Krytenia, ANd FJMPhenox........ Yet i see them in the Groups while I cant find myself.

Like I said in the other topic, I missed your post by mistake and didn't sign you up, so you're not in the tournament. However, it is definitely my mistake, not yours, and I hope you'll come back for TWC 2.

Okay, I've decided to automate the tourney to have it go faster - because if we want to actually have real trivia - everyone will have to be online when I ask them to be and that's definitely not feasible because I know that you all have your own conflicts that also need to be dealt with, which take precedent over NS itself. Plus, this will prevent google-whoring for the answer and allow me to increase the tournament to 32 spots next time (16 is pushing it for "real" trivia).

The format of the score determiner (randomiser) will be similar to that of TnUI's for his U-21 cups - the favourite is favoured in the formula, the underdog in the match gets the base equation and if luck is on their side will win the match and advance.

However, this randomiser is different in that it is Microsoft Excel-based and uses the random number generator for part of the equation. Four match scores are presented by the randomiser and the three that are most alike are kept, the fourth is dropped. Those three are averaged and the final score is given.

Example (I know that it's Amarenthe-Euroslavia and LE-Sarzonia in the first match):

Sarzonia ---vs--- Euroslavia
(first number is for left team, second for right)

20-14, 20-12, 20-17, 15-20

In this case, the 15-20 (Euroslavian win) is dropped and Sarzonia takes the match, 20-14 (it would be 20-14.3333 but there are no half or third points ;)).

For cases where each team gets two "wins" in the randomiser, the process is done over until one team has three "wins". The case of this two-two phenomenon happening more than once per match is 1000:1.

So, in this case:

Sarzonia ---vs--- Euroslavia

20-15, 20-15, 15-20, 15-20

This scenario would not occur more than once in a match with a probability of 1000:1 (very small).

Serena Paulin, most beloved face in Amarenthe broadcasting, shuffled papers at her desk and chuckled. First round elimination. Well, they put up a valiant fight. She was especially found of Caius; not everyone could look that cool while sporting a violet wizard hat.

"We're on, Serena," the camera man shouted. "In five, four, three, two... one."

"Hello and good evening, Amarenthe! Welcome to the 7 o'clock news..."

She followed up with the main stories of the day: the Prime Minister visited a children's institution today, protesters rallied against a government bill, such and such events took place iin overseas nations, and...

"... and now, for all you trivia-lovers out there, an update on the Amarenthian trivia team! As many of you know, Amarenthe sent a team to the World Trivia Cup, hosted in Pacitalia. Our team put up a great fight, but despite unmatched efforts from all eight team members, we were eventually overcome by our first round opponants, Euroslavia. The team returned home today, defeated but still high in spirit, to the welcome to roaring fans at the airports. On behalf of our nation, I'd like to congratulate them."

She smiled winningly, and offered cheery thumbs-up to the camera.

"And now, we continue on with..."
