Royal Saiyevn Palace, Baerlin, Saiyevn

Frederick Von Lutenberg stared out of the royal palace of Saiyevn, looking across the vast plains that made up most of Saiyevn. He was in one of the largest cities in the world, Baerlin, formely called Berlin, a towering pinnacle of steel and rock.

Today was his first day on the Royal council, his first glimpse into the art of diplomacy. Two weeks ago, he had been awesmacked when King Seludwig had personally chosen him to be Saiyevn's new ambassador to the world. Frederick or Fred, as he liked to be called, was still darn nervous about this assignment.

His wife, Isabella, came up to him and handed him a cup of coffee, before placing her lovely hand on his back.
"Stay calm dear, I don't want you to get all jittery on the first day."
Fred calmed down, and after he drank the coffee, he got himself ready and descended down the steps of the palace into the royal conference room.

"Ah, Von Lutenberg, you're finally here," King Seludwig's voice called out from within.
"Please, come and join me in waiting inside. We have guests from other nations coming to visit us today."
Frederick entered and sat on his chair, nervously waiting for the hour to come.

[OOC: All nations are free to send ambassadors to take part in this role play]
Karmanyaka

Ambassador Jon Pike had arrived at the airport early this morning, tired from lack of sleep due to the heavy turbulence. For the moment he sat in the airport lounge and calmed his nerves with a glass of cognac. He hated airplanes and preferred to travel by sea when forced to leave the comfort of his house in Karmanyaka. Now there hadn't been time for a journey on the high seas. Any moment the car would pick him up and drive him to the palace in Baerlin. This was Pike's first travel to Saiyevn, but he had been to other states in Europe before. The ambassador had been charged to set up trade relations and cooperation between Karmanyaka and Saiyevn. Maybe even military cooperation, should von Lutenberg be interested.

"Could you check if the car is here, Stina?" the ambassador asked his assistant.
"Yes, sir." she answered. "I'm sorry, miss, has our car arrived yet?" the assistant asked a passing stewardess.
"I'll check for you." the stewardess answered and disappeared behind a door, only to return a minute later. "The car is ready to take you to the palace right now, mr Ambassador. The driver waits down the hall."
"Thank you, miss." Pike said and poured the last cognac down his throat.

Outside, the rough weather had stopped and the sun broke through as the car rolled past tall granite buildings. He could see the big palace looming ahead, shining in the pale sunlight. Photografers approached the car as they pulled up at the stairs to the palace. His assistant stopped to give short comments to the reporters before she followed Pike through the big doors.
