OOhhhh-Ohhhhh-Ahhhhhhhh-Ummmmm-Ooooooooohh-Ohhhhhhh

So went the chanting in the Kungshaoist Temple, many monks, draped in Black Robes, did there daily offerings to the giant statue; adorned with ebony gold, and red rubies.

And far away in his prison the actual Kungshao, returned too rest...he would sleep, for ages too come.

And in the actual land of Tersanctus itself, the line of Dantes was ended. There would never again be an incarnate. There would never again be an Edmund or Christopher.

But there would be war, and conflict. As it had raged across the land for an entire Generation. Fifty years had passed since the Death of Edmund Dantes, that had plunged the Great Nation into Civil War, and Strife.

Thirty Years since Bertch had killed his son, in an attempt by the Imperial Senate too bring stability to the region. And it had worked.

But somewhere, something was awakening. Becoming aware.
Learning.

Growing.

Remebering.

Shijin Kotomari, was a 24 year old Exchange Student from Japan. He had served in the Imperial Trisagion Corps, and made it too lieutenant, before deciding that military was not for him.

He worked in the Business District of Sanctus, the Capital of Tersanctus. It was a humble Job as an Executive in one of the many Companies that populated the area with Skyscrapers.

On his way too work one morning, he felt a strange pain is his ribcage......

Work had been the usual humdrum, and Shijin made his way to the Sanctus Kungshao Temple.

He was not a Kungshaoist, but their were many Kungshaoists that followed Buddhism, as did Shijin. As a result their was a great deal of tolerance towards it, and buddhists could feel free to pray in a temple, without the usual judgemental eye pointed towards Christians.

As he knelt at an alter, memories flashed through his mind in split-second rushes. He missed home. He missed his parents.

But for years, something inside had compelled him to stay. Unfinished Business, he felt.....but what business?

"Shijin Kotomari?" a pleasant voice asked.

"Yes." He replied. His mind had been wandering.

Where was he? Thats Right. The Dentists office.

The Receptionist looked eagerly at him.

"You can go in now!" She said a bit too exuberently.

"Yes, thank you." He said with a forced politeness.

He sat in the chair as the Dentist did his work, though he was barley aware of any of it. Here he was is the same hum-drum.

He was not doing what he was supposed to be doing.

He could feel it.

Who am I? He wondered.

'The Imperial Senate; today annouced that reperations would not be offer--"

Shijin turned the TV off.

He took some more painkillers, and wondered how he could not be aware of a root canal.

"The Imperial Senate...." he said to himself.

He looked around his small apartment, and wondered why he was here in the Empire. After when was the last time they expanded? In thruth he knew what every other citizen did, that with no Executor, the Country was slipping further and further into apathy.

"I could run things better then those Bureaucrats." He thought out loud.

"Then why dont you?" came a voice.

Shijin reacted as fast as his drugged state would allow, reaching for a pistol he kept in a side drawer next to the couch, he only tripped over the arm, and landed face first behind the couch.

The laughter that arose in the room was tremendous, and Shijin just got up slowly, looking at the dark figure.

After a few seconds he stepped into the light. He was a average looking man, wearing a Dark raincoat, over.....armor?

"Who are you?" Shijin demanded.

"A friend." the man replied.

"Well, we have a problem here, I know all my friends, and I dont know you."

"Trust me, I'll turn out to be a lot better than them all, Shijin." the figure replied.

Shijin looked at him strangley.

"Let me guess...'How do you know my name?' Right?" the man asked.

He let a out a small chuckle.

"I'm not here to kill you, Im here to help you. I am a Templar." The man said.

Shijin had of course heard of the Templar. The Kungshaoist Templar to be exact. When he was in the military, there was sort of a rivalry between The Imperial Trisagion Corps and them. The Templar were a warrior class, trained from a young age to defend Tersanctus, and served very much as the Executor's Private Army. Shijin also found paralell's between them and the Samurai of his land, the most notable trait, was that the Templar still trained with, and carried into battle, swords.

"Your a buddhist, Shijin?" the man asked.

"Yes." he said. Wondering what the context was.

"And Buddhist's beleive in reincarnation, If im not mistaken?"

"Something like that...it has more to do with Karma, and the Nature of the Universe being a Cycle...but, yes."

"And do you know who you are the reincarnation of, Shijin Kotomari?"

Shijin then became shocked, it was an answer that he knew, but he did not know the words too.

The Templar stormed forth suddenly. He drew a Katana with lightning speed, and ceremonioulsy knelt before Shijin offering him the Blade.

"Fifty years ago, in a epic battle with Alkanphel, Executor Edmund Dantes died gloriously in battle. He swore that he would return. The wisest and most powerful of our priests consulted ancient prophecies in tongues no longer spoken."

"And you, you Shijin Kotomari are the promise kept, and the prophecy fulfilled!"

"This sword was the weapon the slew the Last Great Executor. Take it, and with it claim your destiny."

Shijin was mesmerised, and inside himself knew that these words spoken were true.

And he couldnt help but take the sword, it was like it was not he who held the mighty weapon, and yet....

..and all Shijin could say was..

"Restrore the Empire to Honor."
