Liebermonk

Defence Minister of Liebermonk prepared his troops. He sent two main ships with full cloaking ability (OOC: wont use if someone complains), 15 carrier ships, and 85 bomber/fighter ships. They all flew full speed towards megacity three. Liebermonk wanted to be at the front of this battle, for the destruction of Draconis Federation, would be a positive change in the universe.

Megacity One, The Ziggurat, Zone one, the Great Assembly

May Dibold was a life long pacifist and a leader of pacifists. In Megacity one this was not a bad thing as such. The ethical base upon which the state was founded did preach pacifism in many affairs. However it was far from total pacifism with a few events sparking of what the founders hat termed a “total armed response”. May however didn’t see it that way, her husband of a year had been burned to death by natives on barbarian world after he had requested that one of the local chieftains who had taken goods but refused to pay be brought to justice by the small security detachment on board the orbiting ZMI trade ship. The chieftain had been taken and tried by his “Ri” however his people and family responded by braking into the small trade compound which May’s husband had been working in, strapping him to a barrel of lamp oil, and igniting the entire tiny compound. The profits being so low it simply hadn’t been worth the companies time or effort to do more than make formal diplomatic protests. May’s husbands horrific death would make minor news headlines for a few days then vanish. That had been 187 years ago, before the logic stacks, before the dawn of the civil war against the great shareholder families, and before ZMI had been any kind of military power, May was old. Her impassioned speech’s against military actions were on record as some of the assemblies finest oratory. However today May Dibold leader of the 23 white doves as they were called was going to lose. Inwardly she was in turmoil. She had seen the military actions of the state in question played out before but on the other hand she knew why she had seen these acts of barbarism. The ruling party, the dominant qausi liberal Central Democratic party had been paying for adds and time in the news for over a month now for this. The wash of righteous indignation was simply too high for her to fight. However for all she tried she could not as she had done for other’s weep for the fate that was about to befall the targeted states people.

The boards flickered and finally the chimes rang that signalled the end of voting. On the screen the result was clear. Action would be taken, military action. Vast forces would be unleashed in the name of the citizens and the gestalt. A bodiless voice now spoke out over the murmurs and occasional raised voices that snaked across the assemblies white marble floor. “voting is now closed upon issue 4983, “grand exterimanatus” as of this moment the assembly votes 159 for ,and 48 against with 53 abstaining”. The floor filled with cheer’s and the odd holler as the chairman called for order. The hawks had won. In the name of civilisation and the good of the market they were going to war.

High Command, The Ziggurat, Zone One, Sub surface level 189, Unified military high command and control

The command holographic’s spread out above a sea of paper thin smart dust monitors. The huge cavernous room was filled with the sounds of a thousand whirring devices topped of with the voice filled cacophony of planning for war. Not necessarily the war in question. Every war. ZMI demographic analysis of wars and their ability to statistically allow the company to manipulate the markets to “bet” on the outcome made the state billions each year. This time however they were analysing some one else’s war. The command deck as it was called was above the main hubub of analysts and strategic planners, above the endless display tables and the floating spheres of a thousand different worlds. In it heart a group had gathered along a black minimalist rectangular table, behind them hanging over the centre of the command deck a huge perfect simulacrum of the galaxy made spun out of photons hung, in it every ZMI ship and facility was plotted. Now we look at the men sitting around the table.

Admiral Stephen Carlson, 48 ZMI Navy. Balding slightly under his peaked cap, his service was seen as at best second rate in the hierarchy of High Command. He had commanded the ZMN’s home fleet before this.

General Joseph James Hughes, ZM Defence Force, 53, Once a Landcrawler commander, then the leader of the Landcrawler Corp. Now he acted as the leader of the Z.M.D.F.

Air Marshall Charles Hayworthy, ZMAF, at 43 and the youngest man in the group. Had survived a catastrophic hull failure of his air defence needle 21 years ago. A man with a long history of being overly fond of women Hayworthy made up for it by being a superb strategist.

Sky Marshall Ronald Wesley, 45, Z.M.S.F. Previous to entering the rigmarole of the administration of the star admiralty he had been the Captain of a Management Buyout class command carrier. When a kamikaze rebelling mining colonist had slammed a 3,000 ton tug into the management buyouts CNC he had been left with command of a crippled ship and a task force. His performance afterwards in revenging his teacher had given him the name “old nuke happy”. Sometimes over aggressive to a fault he was however mollified by the cost in human blood of that nick name.

Corp Commander Sarah Tyler, Battle Angels, 54, even now her body filled with the full regalia of battle angel implants, her skin bulging in places that humans usually don’t. The ice queen of the command staff, the leader of Z.M.I.’s elite forces. Her history as most battle angel actions was shrouded under the curtains of covert ops. Mother to 2 her staff had never seen her warm side.

These men and women had made there decisions and plans. Now they would act.

Megacity Three, An orbit outside that of Luna

The newly completed Megacity hung against the stars glittering with the actives of millions. Huge smart active bill boards lay in every direction, on the surface of the Megacity thousands of huge neon adds played out. Near the pleasure domes this got to a seeming point of insanity with the domes themselves being seemingly threatened by the level of advertisement flashing on their outer surfaces. Parents and children had gathered at the cities outer park domes, in its observation bays.

Surrounding the city the crews of a thousand drifting construction bays manufacturing everything from waste disposal units to cruise liners stared. Battle Fleet had arrived.

Four Task forces, each cored by the massive thin blade of a Management Buyout slid into real space around the Megacity.

The Atheists Reality

Slowly, the great fleet began to arrive in realspace, and move into an acceptable formation near the megacity, well clear from the other fleets, but close enough for direct com link. Well over 500 ships, from super capital to mere missile frigate, it was hoped that this fleet could provide adequate support to it's allies in this time of war.
Weyr
31-01-2005, 18:02
The Star Guard was born out of the old Weyrean Services. A hundred years ago such a venture would have been unthinkable. a hundred years was a long time, even by Weyrean standards. The Star Guard was a freecorps, albeit a freecorps with a lifetime obligation to serve the Kingdom. That it was now using that obligation to make a fat profit was something very few cared about.

Admiral Fara Ito Lancer, commanding officer of the Sol Fleet, watched, if watched was the term for knowing via the fleet data net, the entirety of her command slowly enter formation over Earthbound Weyr. There was profit to be made; and besides, the Kingdom would be that much safer without another bunch of meddlesome fools this side of the multiverse.

Countless drives flared online. Shield screens went up, deflecting stray debris that could potentially damage sensitive scanners or clog up weapons. Most of the Sol Fleet would be taking part in this mission, small as it was. The potential profits were just too big to miss out on, and al the crews had agreed to take part in profitable assignments not directly related to Weyrean security.

"ZMI Command, Sol Fleet here, requesting parking permission," the comms burst flashed out.

A blinding spour of light signalling the exit of the Partriarch's First Battle Fleet from hyperspace. 89 ships slowly glided towards the other fleets, ships ranging from corvette frigrate hybids to the patriarch's own personal capital ship a super dreadnaught. behind the fleet of warships followed a repair ship capable of refueling and repairing minor damage to battleships and smaller classes.

Rrowl C'mef the patriarch stood on the bridge of his Ship The Rampaging Judgement his ears flat against his skull as Be'rel-Sensor Operator recorded the number of fleets and just how many ships there were.

"Dominate One, there are approximately 7 fleets at the designated coordinates, numbers ranging from 30 to the thousands." he spoke slowly double checking his data.

"Open a Comm. channel to the monkeys" the patriarch replied his voice sharp as a razor, He extended his claws quickly then retracted them even quicker

"channel open Dominate one" A nameless hero replied moments later his eyes never leaving the console.

"This is the Patriarch Rrowl C'mef Commanding The Rampaging Judgement of The Partriarch's First Battle Fleet May the One Fanged God smile on our hunt"

the message was closed abruptly as it had been created and The Partriarch's First Battle Fleet slwoly crept forward the The Rampaging Judgement slowly fell behind the bulk of the fleet taking position beside the repair ship.

Bryn Shander
31-01-2005, 22:28
Just as they entered hyperspace, the twenty two ships exited, their hulls glistening in the sun. In the distance, Bryn Shander's primary colonies could be seen clearly, their 30km long mirror arms reflecting light as if to welcome the ships. Further away still was the faint outline of A Baoa Qu, it's silhouette broken only by tiny lights on the surface indicating spacedocks. If one looked closely enough, the military's flagship, the PNS Lina Inverse could be seen next to the capital of the nation, the colony of Niflheim.

Sadly, the colonies were not the ships' destinations. Instead, they were headed to ZMI Megacity Three. Already amassed at the city were the combined fleets of ZMI, TAR, and others. This small fleet could easilly get lost in the fray, but it was unlikely to happen so long as the ships stayed on the outskirts of the furball. Slowly but surely, the fleet moved into position.

Just to be safe, Motoko sent out a message to ZMI Command.

Due to the gross unfairness of this situation, Liebermonk will not sign. The currents agreement shows that the citizens of The Dominion of Draconis Federation will be treated as prizes, and not people. The number of ships preparing to attack the Federation homeworld will be so unbalanced, that many will not even attack. As such, the need for the Liebermonkian ships is non-existant. If the other nations wish, they may take the lands signed to us after the take-over. However, if none shall claim it, Liebermonk would not mind having control of them. We will withdraw our ships immediately.

With that being said, all of the Liebermonkian ships present turned away from Megacity 3. After flying a short distance, a rupture in space was formed. On the other side of the galaxy, the opposite side of the rupture opened. Liebermonk was now far away from this problem.

all OOC:
(you just drive me a bit crazy so....)
Yeah, real mature, I negate this thread, so ... peace nigars I'm out.

Uhm, you kinda used the wrong word. You can't negate a thread. What they post is true. You could neglect it but not negate. Then you misspelled a word that could be quite offensive. Watch what you say, there are quite a few poeple who believe in political correctiveness (I'm not one, but some will be offended.) And also, if you want to talk about mature...

Your actions of randomly posting in threads without permission of all members involved, is not mature, at all. You had no basis for posting in those threads. In this case, there is a reason and basis for the posting. We are quite tired of you doing those random, meaningless postings. To fight against it, a group of nations quite a bit more powerfull than you decided to show you that in RP's, following some ettiquite is a good idea...
