(Definition of film noir for those of you who don't know:
"("dark film")A term applied by French critics to a type of American film, usually in the detective and thriller genres, with low-key lighting and a somber mood. Film noir was most prevalent in the 1940s and 1950s, though it was revived occasionally later.")
Basically, I was planning a story RP set in 1950s in The Boil, in Dregruk. It's a story about a cop who's family is murdered by a mob hitman. Cue said cop's descent into corruption, murder etc.
There are only a few parts to spare, but I ask that you only join this RP if you will follow through with it, rather than give up halfway through and leave it dead in the water.
The characters:
Lt. John Drubeck: Me
Captain Garth McKinness: Ravea
Thomas Drubeck: Imitora
Don Jimmy Carvone: OPEN
Lt. Michael Leone: Buechoria
Lt. David Vincenso: Ventuus
Lt. John Drubeck is the main character, and the story mostly revolves around him.
Captain Garth McKinness is the senior officer of the Police Department that Lt. Drubeck, Leone and Vincenso work in. He's something of a father figure to Drubeck.
Thomas Drubeck is John's brother, but he is on the opposite side of the law; his dream was always to drag his way out of the lowly life that his family was accustomed to by any means necessary. He hasn't seen his brother in years, but John still looks up to him as the omniscient elder brother.
Don Jimmy Carvone is the mafia chieftain in the district that the story is set in. He is the most powerful man there, who has most of the police force in his pocket. Not someone to be crossed, nor trusted.
Lt. Michael Leone is one of the fellow officers to Drubeck; one of the very few friends that Drubeck has. A sort of a brother that he never had.
Lt. Vincenso is another fellow officer, although slightly more hot-headed than Leone. He is still a very good friend to Drubeck.
