Rrowl C’mef frowned as stared through the binoculars towards a feral monkey held city; his cape billowed in the steady winds. The city had been a hotspot for the feral monkey groups.
Rrowl C’mef had allowed them to continue their dealings as it amused him; he enjoyed watching them scurry around with their schemes and plans. But now, amusement turned to anger.
I must remember next time to hunt the leaders of these feral monkeys periodically, otherwise they begin to get dreams of grandeur . . . plus it is a good excuse to see the cubs. Rrowl C’mef grunted harshly as he handed the binoculars to the Kzinti beside him. Who looked into adjusting the zoom, then staring at the edge of the city where a group of feral monkeys had pinned 7 Kzinti hero’s down just outside the city.
“Ka’shan-General, why have we not crushed the feral monkeys?” Rrowl C’mef asked as he stared down at the smoldering city as plumes of smoke raised into the air and the racket of gunfire and explosions could be heard for miles.
“Honored patriarch, the feral monkeys have set up defenses and barricades, they hide and attack from the shadows.” He replied, disgust filling his voice,” their cowardice knows no bounds Honoured patriarch, I wonder why The One Fanged god would allow such a disgraceful race to exist”
Rrowl C’mef looked at Ka’shan-General with murder in his eyes, his fur bottled up. “They may be cowardly monkeys Ka’shan-General, but they are defeating you. Perhaps I should have the leader of the feral monkeys replace you . . .”
Ka’shan-General lowered his head “I apologize my patriarch, I will crush these feral monkeys if it takes my last breath” he mewed quietly his bat like ears drooping in shame.
“Do not apologize Ka’shan-General, there is still hope for you yet, learn from this feral monkeys, understand how they attack and defend. Then you will be able to crush them and feast of their livers” Rrowl C’mef turned to Ka’shan-General his ears perking up in a devilish idea. “Ka’shan-General, have the kzsiprheras been cleared for combat?”
“Yes my patriarch, but they have not been used yet . . . “ Ka’shan-General replied hastily, not bothering to think of a reason why the patriarch would ask at a time like this.
“Well I believe it’s time we test them,” Rrowl C’mef said as he turned and walked into the interior of the command center.

3 hours later 3 raughvu drop ships soared across the sky above the patriarch and the general. The 3 ships were mere speck in the sky as the soared above the city. They circled around coming in lower, the sound of their engines drowning out the gunfire. The slowly came to a stop around the heart of the city as the 3 mechs slowly descended to the ground where there their engines sprang to life in a roar of hellfire. The took there first steps forward each one slowly heading out in a different direction. A trail of rubble was left following in their wake.

U’tal-pilot cursed as he swung the rotatary auto cannon around a long line of dust and smoke following where the bullets slammed into the walls and ground as he tracked the feral monkeys. 3 missiles flew from the top launcher demolishing what remained of the rubble before him. U’tal-pilot felt the vibrations of a missile slamming into the side of his kzsiprheras mech, soon 3 more missiles slammed into the side of U’tal one striking his particle laser disabling it severely. He turned around as another missile struck the front. Close to his cockpit, to close. He struck them down with the last 2 remaining missiles from the upper missile rack. The kzsiprheras mech continued forward, it’s side and front covered in black scorch marks from where the anti-infantry missiles had struck.
Over the comm. U’tal-pilot hear the cheers of his fellow hero’s as he forced the feral monkeys to scatter under a murderous hail of lead from his auto cannon. A missile streaked by his cockpit quickly tearing U’tal-pilot from his dreams of grandeur before his was forced forward his head smacking the console in front of him as another anti-infantry missile struck his left leg.
