"Ugnh! Damn, that hurts." His Phoenix glider had landed beside him. "Take me back to the flats."
Once there, he came upon the Czar. "It's over, there's nothing I can do for him, or that anyone can do. I'm sorry." Finally, his blood ceased its boil, and the Hitokiri became Shogun Himura Kenshin once again. The light left his sword and returned to PP, where it became a pearl in the up stretched hands of the goddess statue on the Temple of Heroes. Sano walked out of the bathroom that was still intact.
"What happened? Oh, uhhhh...Sorry Kenshin, damn airline food."
At the base of the Legendary Sword of PP, an ever so small crack formed.
(OOC: That could make for an interesting RP later. Will disscuss.)

The Evil Army froze in spot at the light. unable to bear it, they crumbled away to dust. The Arch Demons fled back to hell.
Death still not aware that he was free from the dragon Kinds grasp rasped:
What, my army Flees!! Even if if I have to kill every living thing in creation, I will WIn the Day!"
Warfare could not ake anymore. He took to his second form, the OmniSliver, a 50 ft, by 500 ft monsterous beast, and flew straight at Death, Black Fire and Fieros burning in unison.
It was an impressive battle. all four sets of claws continuasly raked death until with a scream that would kill any mortal that heard it, Death disapated back into an ever present force. it would be some time before he personified again.
Warfare acted quickly and erected a barrier of Solid Air that absorbed the death knell. Warfare lost his energy and began to fall to the ground, yet by a miracle of heaven, his Sliver children caught him and carried him to Mith.
"Warfare's Hurt! We think. You are a skilled healer and he told us of you, surley you can heal Him?"
OOC: He's not really hurt, he just spent all of his energy fighting death and stopping his scream from Killing Kaymiril's mages, the Czar, Col. Couger, Galvenor, Princess Anna, and every other living thing. If you can think of a way to wake him up soon, be my guest, if not, he'll be out for an hour at most.

Anna -- "I'm sick of this." *Gathering up her energies* RHENDAMA DERVOS INES! VADAM Q'VES RHES.
This is the most powerful anti-demonic spell Anna knew...and with the demons already weakened, and holy power surrounding the field...this was more than enough to finish off the rest.
**************************************
A -- The battle now has ended...the field is stained with blood...we grieve for our lost comrades, but honor what they've done....
The battle was indeed over...but the hard part was just beginning. Those mages that lived were either getting healed by those with healing abilities...or identifying the dead. Almost a thousand total...it was not a good day.
Rhenmet and Vedt stood, watching. A dozen and a half mages of their class had died...fifteen percent of their numbers. Their names would go unremembered by history, but such was the fate of their class.
V -- The Master will not be pleased.
Rn -- The Master was willing to die for this cause. He would not have wished death upon any others...but he will understand. These were...honorable deaths.
***Mithdelmar***
Mith examines Warfare briefly, then turns to the Slivers.
"He is not injured...merely exhausted. However...I will see what I can do."
She levitates a potion from the cabinet to her hand, then uncorks it, props up Warfare's head a little, and slowly pours the potion down his throat. This potion only needed a few drops to revive most of her kind...but she figured a god would need a bit more.
((OOC: Just so you know, Warhaven, I considered just pouring the Drow version of tabasco sauce down his throat. This potion goes a whole lot easier.))
***Derscon***
Pulling her helmet off, Anna approaches the Czar, Shogun, and John.
"This was a bittersweet victory from this end, too, I take it."
OOC: Derscon...you pulled several Godmodes in there...
OOC: Derscon...you pulled several Godmodes in there...
OOC: I'm aware of that. Since they only majourly affected me, I didn't care. Besides, all you had to do was pull that spell anyways, and they'd all be dead. I was 99% sure you had something like that up your sleeve, so I wasn't that concerned.
Kaymiril
10-02-2005, 03:43
OOC: To every spell the proper time and use to make the best effect. She couldn't have pulled that as easily with the demons at full power. She might have been able to knock out about half of them...but the energy required would have killed her. As is, she's never felt wearier in her entire life. Which has been far longer than either of your current chars.

At first nothing seems to happen, then that familiar golden glow returns. Warfare sits straight up lets out an Amazonian War call and then says:
"Momma Mia, Thats a Spicy Meatball."
After a few minuets of gathering his wits, warfare turns to Mith and says:
"Thank you, I'm not at full power, but I am powerful enough to give you this."
Warfare creates a small Bush in full bloom.
"These flowers change color and scent at the will of the nearest passerby. It is used widely in Aromatherapy, but I thought You might simply appreciate a bush that will always smell and look pleasant. Besides, it also miakes one heck pf a cup of tea too. Just watch out for the seeds, they smell like dead skunks." Warfare said, crinkling his nose at the unpleasant memory. At the moment, the Flowers look, and smell, like roses.
Warfares power keeps returning. He goes to the flat, and decides to see how everyone there is doing. unfortunatly, a small cloud of darkness remains. Taking a giant comical eraser, he literally erases it like a mistake on paper, living a pretty sky behind.
"Princess Anna, how ARE you doing? Is everything quiet hee since I defeated death? I feel The dragon Kings presence no more so I assume he is gone. Since Death can't manifest for at least two to three hundred years, I expect Most Necromancers will suddenly find trouble raising the dead, anyone that can claim to do so until then is either a charlatan, Crazy, or both. That doesn't mean people won't Die in the mean time, it just means a break from the undead." Warfare said.

Galvenor floated into the room, Power coursing through him from the battle. His Aura was visible even in the bright sunlight. He looked about the room at those who were still present. He spied Warfare sitting heavily with weariness etched across his face.
Galvenor levitated over to Warfare.
“Greetings, friend. It seems I absorbed a little more power than I needed. It would be a shame to let it go to waste so please accept what I am offering. It will help restore you to somewhat a normal level of being.”
Galvenor reached out and placed his hands over Warfare’s heart and forehead. An immense amount of Power flowed from Galvenor into Warfare. Raw energy began to fill and invigorate Warfare as more of it continued. The power was almost intoxicating as it completely filled him.
Galvenor floated into the room. He was glowing with Power crackling through his Aura. He looked about the room, seeing everyone’s shocked looks. He noticed himself leaning over the form of Warfare, intense spheres of bright energy around his hands where they touched him on his heart and head.
“What the…?”
Galvenor looked up and saw Galvenor looking at him. He smiled.
“I guess I better introduce myself.”
The Galvenor leaning over Warfare began to change. The ghostly image of Galvenor became solid. The clothing the image wore changed hue and texture until they were dark blue. The face became fair and the eyes became empty pits with twinkling stars peering out. The hair grew long and silvery.
“BelDragos!!”
“Yes, I felt you could use the aid but Galvenor returned too soon. I also need to restore the dirge left by the Sphere spell. It helped keep the army of Undeath from crossing but I cannot allow it to remain. I just needed to restore Warfare to full power first.”
“You all fought a great battle and I am proud of every mage who used Magic. I grant upon you all a boon of good luck to help restore your lands to the beauty they once were. If you need anything else, ask Warfare or my disciple. I must leave now for I have some things to take care of.”
BelDragos vanished.
Elsewhere within the Nexus, BelDragos appeared. With a thought all the relics disappeared, to be hidden from the eyes of mortals until the time they were needed again. He split the Afterworld away from its cousin and cast them into the winds with the others. They will remain away from each other for quite some time. Satisfied with his work, he sealed the Nexus and returned home.

OOC: I was hoping for a nice long melodramatic ending to accomidate everybody involced and give each character a moment to shine, but Derscon went to quickly.
IC: Warfare was quite happy, his power was at full strength again. He closed his eyes and brought his hands together, Golden power coursed out of him and seemingly into nowhere, Slowly the Æther began to flow again, Slivers everywhere slowly woke up. Life resumed its normal pace. Feeling the need to pick up the mood, Warfare Snapped his fingers, and a light hearty strain of instrumental music began to play. The tune, full of merryment and amusment, was sure to quickly pick everyones spirits up.
"Thank you Beldragos for your aid, someday, when I can, I shall repay the favor. Raidor, Thank you for your aid as well, when I can, I shall repay the favor with all possible haste." Warfare called out to his fellow Gods.
Warfare walked outside, eying the barren waste that resulted from battle, Warfare simply spread his arms and let the Holy Flow. Soon, the entire countryside was growing again, as new life cautiously crept forth at Warfare's command. Not forgettinghis Mortal Allies, Warfare turned and stretched forth his power, and removed their ability to have Nightmares over this incident.
"My Friends and Allies, the Night is over and Death is Beaten. The King of the Dragons has been banished to the point that he can never return. Now is the time for rebuilding, but even under the guidance of a God it will take time, but that is now on our side. Fear not, for I have banished the nightmares of this dreadful incident, but I cannot and will not remove the bad memories, for thus all shall grow stronger because of this. I therefore invite all to Riptide for celebration of Victory. I can promise Rare and exotic meals sure of pleasing your tastes in new and exciting ways. I can promise views and sights few have ever seen, and I promise my personal aid in rebuilding. If you wish to come simply let me know with a thought." Warfare called out. His voice was magically enhanced so that it could be heard by everybody.

OOC: Dammit, I h8 living here. I cant keep up, so lets assume that Cougar killed Legion...
IC: As Legion came in for what seemed the final blow, Cougar fought back with a vigour not seen before, "You may be powerful, but I am pure. You shall not destroy all that we have worked to create, and I will halt you here!" he cried, swinging the katana up, its blade burning fiercely, striking at the head of Legion. As he did so, The Black Flame burnt bright, bright enough for battle on the other plain to see it. It rose in a column, away from Cougar, and he rose of the ground, his hair now waving everywhere."DIE, YOU OMNIVOICE FUCK!"The sword passed effortlessly through the bone and sinew, the head falling away, and then he collapased to the ground, his exhaustion and pain taking over...
After a few hours, the Colonel rose from his slumber, and without thinking teleported to the Flat, arriving as everyone else was returning from their own personal battles, "I have returned. Legion is gone, dead on some far-away plain" His eyes roved across the crowd, picking out ********** from among them. He smiled inwardly, then turned away, knowing she could never accept him for who he was...

Mith took the bush and smiled. While it was hidden behind her mask, heck, Warfare's a god.
"Thank you. It is beautiful."

*Anna lets those few that wish to go to Riptide and celebrate go...but as far as she and most of the mages were concerned, it was no time for celebration. The dead were still being tallied...and while Necromancy was now going to be rare, that did nothing to ease the fact that she was the first of the royal line to ever get so many mages killed at the same time. It would do nothing to ease the strain the mages of her nation felt as they started to rebuild their numbers, either.*
***********************
Rn -- Well...that's done.
V -- You might want to reconsider the wings and tail.
Rn -- Yeah...maybe. *Once more, she started to change, looking little different than the average Drow female when she finished.* Let's go check on Renor.
V -- I doubt Mith will let us see him, but it is worth a try. *Spotting Cougar* Hey, Cougar, care to come to Mithdelmar with us? Renor ought to be concious by now, at the least.
OOC: SE, don't let Renor find out about that teleport. Remember what happened when you ghosted for the first time.

OOC: Cougar is still battered and bruised from his encounter with Legion, and he hasnt bothered healing yet...

V -- Maybe so. But whatever the case, let's go. *Teleports the three of them to just outside the temple at Mithdelmar, and walks in*

10-02-2005, 22:09
As they walked deeper into the temple, Cougar caught himself shooting glances at Rhenna almost constantley, and he smiled. She was very attractive, despite her colouring and facial ridges etc. He felt...nervous. It was strange, but Cougar was more scared of a woman, than of the battle that had just passed. He laughed at himself inwardly, then began to speak,"I lost track of you guys after the battle began, what happened to you in particular?"
Kaymiril
10-02-2005, 22:12
Vedt shrugs.
"We fought. A human general once said "war is hell..." and this time it was, literally. Many died today...including 15% of our class...with the numbers still rising slightly. Our master would have been proud of us, though...but Rhenna here probably would have shocked him."

Kaymiril
10-02-2005, 22:21
V -- We have not been through many wars...only one before this, in my time, and I was not called out. Our region is peaceful...and until recently, has been isolationistic.
Rn -- That's hardly a fair question...I'm more comfortable in this form than the other, because I've been in this form since before I can remember. But there was something...liberating...about my natural form. I couldn't imagine being like that all the time, though. Wings tend to get caught on things when they're your fifth and sixth limbs.

Kaymiril
10-02-2005, 22:34
V -- She was joking, Cougar. You can always tell when she's joking or not because generally the word "fair" isn't a part of her vocabulary.
*Spotting Mith*
V -- Mith, how's Renor?
M -- *before the next question can come out* And can you see him? He's alive, and he'll recover within a week or so. Yes, you can see him, he is awake...but I'm not promising anything intelligent will come out of his mouth.
Down the second hall to your right, third door on the left.
V -- *Nods, and leads Rhenna and Cougar there.* Renor?
R -- Well, one, two...three of you. What a surprise. Who'd have thought that Mith would have let anyone in here so soon?
*Vedt walks up beside Renor and holds the mask out to Renor, who gives an almost-sigh and takes the mask, putting it back on. He then sits up.*
R -- Well, Cougar, I see you've had practice...we won the war obviously...but what are the specifics?
V -- Almost a thousand dead total...including twenty of our Senior Mages.

Buki fa'la zatoast should have killed me when he got the chance...((buki fa'la zatoast = bloody bastard)). And it is good to hear that you received help while I was gone. Mith said you had talent for healing...you just didn't know it.
Everyone was outside or left by this point in time. Only the Shogun, John, the Praetorian Guards, and the Czar's body were left.
John looked up at the Shogun.
"No, I will not. Alexei will, but not for awhile. He still must willingly convert to Christianity, first. Please, Shogun, help me with my father's body. We must take it to the Kremlin." John and the Shogun picked up the Czar's body and laid it on a platform. John and the Shogun picked up the platform with the Praetorian Guards saluting, and they then formed a block around the people, shields outward, swords raised at attention. The Czar's body was laid on the platform holding the Dragon Sword as a Knight would lay to rest with his sword.

After the Dragon King died, Death was free from his grip, but continued to fight us. I took him away from all eyes and had a private fight with him that would go in the record books if anyone had seen it. Death will not be able to to personify, nor will there be necromancy for at lest 200-300 Years. I know thats of little consolation, but, at least its a start. It is she who is precious to me. When Vedt asked me what I hold precious, I did not know, but I do now. I did not want to act for a number of reasons. Firstly, I did not know how you would react. Secondly, I do not know how she, a top mage, will react to me, a mere solider, expressing feelings for her. Thirdly, if anything did come of it, I cannot stay forever. *Renor reaches out with a guesture, calling one of the blankets on a nearby shelf to wrap itself loosely around Cougar. This was a motion he had gone through many times, when other apprentices told him how they became orphans. It would have become mechanical for most masters...yet the motion always seemed sincere. The blankets in Mithdelmar were especially good for this, because they were woven with special enchantments, designed to help the sick find some form of comfort.*
You must miss them terribly. The child you were has not completely gone away, has he? Even though you may have tried to tell him that those days were over.
***The Grounds of the Derscon Flat***
Anna was finishing up with tallying and beginning to transport the dead and wounded. This had been a trying day...the death around her had been massive, and for the first time in her life, she had caused some of that death. Looking at the numbers on her parchment, she sighed. What difference did it make to the families of the deceased if some foreign god had decided to take the souls of their dead kin under his wing? Religion, Anna was growing more and more certain, was merely the ways people had of dealing with losses...why bother with it, rather than face facts?
OOC: I see how it is, boys...I'm not special. :P W/e.

Warfare silently left when Rhenmet and Vedt did.
Warfare was sitting on a stump watching the new life grow. The fact that he could actually see it grow was the most encouraging. But his thoughts were elsewhere.
"whats it all worth? why should I bother, I remeber the faces of people long dead for Eons. I remember the day Arcime was born, and I remember the day he died. I can recall with the geatest of ease the lives of great leaders over the course of thousands of years. I make friends, I watch them grw old and I watch them Die. Alberekek almost died this day, another person added to the many people I've watchd come and go. The hardest part of being divine is saying goodbye. It seems that's the only thing I do. I could bless them with eternal life, but, I know a God that did that once. He eventually had to kill his friend because they went crazy. I couldn't possibly bring myself to do that. In the end it will be another goodbye, another face for my memory, another verse for my Thernody. Mortals say it's easy being a God, but they don't know how hard it is to keep saying goodbye. Goodbye to my friends, goodbye to my allies, goodbye to everything that ever ment something to me. I guess thats why I always try to have fun with my friends and allies, yet the ones who mattered most never came." Warfare thought to himself. A small tear trickled down his check. Warfare decided to simply wait there, until he was needed, or somebody wanted to talk to him.
OOC: I see how it is, boys...I'm not special. :P W/e.
OOC: I thought you left already, sorry.

IC:
Anna finishes up with what she's doing. The day had gone from bright, to black, again to bright, all in a matter of hours. She was battered and bloodstained, and grimier than she'd ever been. She hands the parchment with the names of the dead to Stri'ya, and goes over and stands next to Warfare.
"So, even the gods get depressed."

OOC: I thought you left already, sorry.
OOC: No, I came over and said something to the effect of "I see the victory was bitter on this end, too"
"That might be a problem. If I may, I suggest the monument and the public tomb with the Uber-trained guard detail. Always impressive, and leaves a lasting, glorious memory."
The Prince shrugged. "I know my father didn't want something overly impressive, but considering he did so much for Derscon, I don't think he'll have a choice in that matter. At least, I won't have a choice!" He smiled at the thought. "The people will probably erect something. Who knows, maybe a national park."

"My life seems to mainly be goodbyes. Renor's near death today simply reopened some old wounds. Even as long lived as you are, it is still nothing more than the passing of a moment to me." Warfare said a little depressed.
Takes the scroll from Anna.
"This is quite a number. I shall see to it personally that they all get into paradise. I know it isn't real comfort to those left behind, but all the same, I will see to it the get there. By the way, at the party on Riptide, you might want to let some of your mages have some time off, 'cause, there was definatly some procreation going on in the bushes, and all my children are asexual. Besides, when Slivers get to inibriated, I've discovered they simply lay where they are and giggle incessantly at the slightest thing, to weak to crawl back to the comunity sleeping pits. Tangleberry wine simply took everyone by surprise." Warfare warned Princess Anna.
The party goers had run off from the party thinking no one would know, but if anything any God knows everthing that happens on worlds he protects.
"After all this is over, would you like to see a world composed entirely of metal?" Warfare asked Anna.

Anna nods at Warfare's words. "I lost many good friends today...and I lost my brother when I was very young. I know that feeling."
***lapse of time***
"Well...and here I thought that mages didn't drink for the very reason to prevent rash decisions like that. Ah well...we aren't perfect.
"A planet of metal? That would be interesting...but the paperwork from this battle alone is probably going to be about fifteen feet tall when stacked all together, and guess whose job that is..."
She sighs.
RAMC Airport
The 767 landed peacefully, and the ramp extended. John and the Shogun carried the body down the ramp, still accompanied by the Praetorian Guards, into a three-deep column on either side of Honour Guards and Praesillei Dei, all standing at attention. It was carried in to the Kremlin and shipped off to the In-house med center. Prince John took the Shogun to the Star Office, and they sat down together. they were chatting for a bit when the phone rang.
"Hello?" The Prince answered.
"Your Highness? We got word that your brother was just transferred over to the Kremlin Center." THe Prince's face lit up.
"Thank you. God Bless." The Prince hung up.
"Alexei is here, now, in the hospital. Shall we pay him a visit?"

"Well, if it would help, I could, lock you in a second of time, give you boundless energy, a perfect body take away all thirst and hunger, a perfect memory, AND provide an accompaning strain of energetic music to help it all go faster." warfare said in all seriousness.
"Fifteen feet high though, whats the point of ALL that paperwork?" Warfare asked.
Warfare conjures up a small peice of parchment, on it says:
"Good for one free tour of Mirroden with Warfare."
Warfare hands it to Anna.
"In any case, let me know when you have free time. I will take you on a tour myself." Warfare said.

I've actually tried the time lock thing. It sucks.
But the point of all that paperwork *deep breath*
there is a file for each mage. I have to go through that file and fill out the last bits of information. Which means I have to have about a zillion reports, etc, etc, then there's the paperwork stating the reason of the battle, name each and every mage that was there, state why the hell I was there anyway, and why I decided to get mixed up in this, and the list goes on.
*She takes the pass and smiles in spite of herself*
I'll take you up on this, someday. Thank you.

OOC: I'm actually going to make an RP involving the death of the Queen Sliver, and the events that follow, because, she will not have an heir, and that will drive the Slivers to attack anything in sight. Out of Desperation to keep his Slivers alive, along with his Friends, Warfare will create the Mirari, a metal orb fashioned from the Darksteel of Mirroden. unknown to him, the Mirari will grant the wishes of whomever touches it, and its calling to more than just Slivers...
If you like you can join. As can Balrogga, Snake eaters, and Derscon, I will have to let a few others know though, and I still have a few details to work out.

Warfare thought really hard about it. His time here was over with. To stay longer would break the rules of Godhood. Warfare kneeled and blessed the lands of Derscon, for the next two years, the land would see triple Production. Warfare teleported to Kaymiril, knelt, and blessed it in a similar manner. in addition to the two years of triple production, both would see five years of brilliance, and a supernatural sense of peace and tranquility. All Blessings would slowly fade away. Having accomplished his work among mortals, Warfare disapated into nothingness, unless his friends prayed to him directly, or got another God to come get him, they would never see him again, or would they...
The old queen was weakening...

IC: "No. That child has not dissepeared, no matter how hard I have tried to supress a memory such as that. I see it every day, at least once. Thank you for your comfort, MAster, it is much appreciated.*shrugs off the blanket*I must find Rhenna, I don't have much time left. THe Prince looked down at Alexei, with the Shogun by John's side.
"How are you feeling?" The Prince asked Alexei.
"Bad!" He said, smiling.
*time elapses*
"John, I need some help."
"What?" Alexei sighed.
"Will you pray with me?" John smiled, acting as a preacher again.
"Of course."
And in that thirty second prayer, John helped convert Alexei to Christianity.
"Amen," they all said in unison. Alexei smiled.
"Thank you." With that, he fell to sleep. John looked at the Shogun.
"We need to get to the Star Office. I need to announce my father's death."
