In the Shadow of the Trees [open Star Wars CO-RP]

[[OOC: To anyone wants to bitch about me being another Star Wars n00b: go look me up. I'm much better known as Crimmond... This is simply a nation that lets me focus my creative thoughts in a new direction.

Also, I'd prefer to keep this to people that have done Star Wars style RPs before. Not a requirement, but a request.]]

Trees kilometers high rise up from the surface of the dark, dank forest floor. Wild beasts move about, preying on each other. Hunters from above come to test themselves.

None but the beasts see what else lurks down in the shadows of the trees, so deep that the universe at large seems a galaxy away. There is a large clearing that extends from the floor of the forest all teh way to the canopy, allowing access to the remote area, though few come here.

Milling about in the clearing or in the forest nearby are humans and aliens, training and testing themselves against each other. There are barely fifty of them. There was double that, but the weak had been slain mercilessly and left for the forest to consume.

In a complex under the giant trees, tunels wind through the ground, around roots and rocks. Inside are the masters and elite of this small domain and their leader.

--------------

"The recruits are coming along. Soon they will be ready for the student entry tests."

"Good. Don't delay their training, unless they become injured."

"As you wish, my Lord."

Such was the short conversation in a tunnel, between one robed figure and another, much more powerful robed and armored.

The armored man moved off and out of the complex, into the training area. He got looks of fear, respect and jealousy... all at once in some cases. He smiled beneath his mask. Let them feel that passion. It would fuel their training. He paused when a young female studant approached him.... "Yes, apprentice?"

"Lord Barbarous, when do we reveal ourselves to the galaxy. I want to be prepared fully for when the new war begins."

He chuckled at the young woman. "So full of anger... bloodlust. Soon, young one. Soon we will start the timeless war with the Jedi Order anew. Seems that is what all Sith are destined to do." He pasued at the confused look on the woman's face. "We are merely a footnote in history. A thousand years from now, the Sith and Jedi will still live, at war with one another. We prevail for a time, then they prevail. It is the natural balance of the Force."

The red armored man walked off, to leave her with his words, letting her contemplate them. He was different than other power mad Sith. Power mad, oh yes... but a realist. He knew that this war would mean nothing to the universe or the Force. But it was Barbarous' destiny to start it.

----------

A fast and well armored ship lifted off from teh forest and climbed for several minutes before clearing the canopy. It accelerated away and merged with traffic to and from the forest planet of Kashyyk, without any notice that was of importance.

The ship left the system and Barberous stared at the hyperspace conduit and considered the future once more.

OOC: Hmph. Yet another Sith Lord upstart. Let's see how well you can take on the Masaki Brothers(tm). :D

IC:
Another day in space, dealing with the usual pirate groups and whatnot. I thought. Hurtling through space at many, many times the speed of light, my twin brothers and I are currently patrolling the sectors for enemy activity. Me in my XJ3-Wing with a flight of three others, and the twins in among the crew of a larger Corellian Corvette: Hero's Light. Currently, we're heading towards Yavin for another debriefing for the Council.

The ship dropped out of hyperspace around one of Yavin's outer moons, a bay on teh underside opening slowly. Inside was a strange thing to see... A TIE Bomber, or what used to be one. Painted a blood red color and complete with a refurbished R5 astromet droid in the modified bomb bay.

It was marked with the symbol of the Kashyyk academy, though few would know that. Flying towards the fourth moon, the pilot let the droid answer all the incoming requests and the like. Quite a responisbility for an R5, knowing their record of reliability...

In flashes of light, the five craft entered realspace near the orange gas giant of Yavin. We were soon heading for the fourth moon of Yavin at high sublight, slowing down, when I felt something funny a little ways from the Jedi Academy.

"Rogue Lead to Flight One, we got activity around here. Keep an eye out." I ordered my flight before extending my S-foils to reveal the deadly quad lasers.

"Roger that, Lead." Naruto, my second-in-command commed. We fanned out, me feeling in the Force for what's there as the corvette made it's way towards the Academy...

[OOC: Time to bring Konas back into existance :P]

Konas sat in his apartment on the planet Techon, he was taking a break from it all. After the sith wars ended he needed to rest, and he was rightfully getting it. Sometime soon he was to go and visit the Masakis, he hadn't seen them in a while.

He was on a white couch, his feet barefoot on the wooden floor. In one hand was a cup of tea, he took a sip at it. Then leaned back in the couch and then sensed a slight disturbance in the force.

Another sith? Hmm probably not, I'm just crazy...

He stood up and walked into the kitchen, he picked up his datapad to read the mail.

He smirked as he read one, they wanted him back on Yavin 4 to train the jedi aprentices, he set his tea down and dashed off to get ready.

Soon enough he was in his Starhead, all his things packed and ready in the cargo, he took out from the docks and was off. He flew out of the atmosphere and into the black void of space, and then he entered hyperspace. Making way for the Yavin system.

Breaking through a cloud bank over the jungles of Yavin IV, the blood red TIE executed a perfect six point roll and dove down to buzz the trees. His strange course would of course be seen as irregular, but he didn't think anyone would look for him. Not right away, anyway. The unique sound of the TIE's engine filled a small valley as the craft approached it's destination... some of the overgrown ruins that seemed to cover the planetoid.

-----------

Barberous stepped from the cockpit of the TIE as the R5 released itself and began checking a fault in one of the wings.

He moved into an opening through a collapsed doorway and stepped inside the small temple. He wasn't looking for the great secrets of Exar Kun or the ancient Massassi. He certainly wasn't looking for any of the beasts they left behind.

After a few minutes of looking around, he found the central area, along with a shrieking creature he quickly disposed of with his saber. Sitting down in the courtyard, he looked about. This place was ripe with the Dark Side, though not as much as others. He could feel strength from this place and wished he had some way of taking it with him. But for now, he sat... gaining strength from the power here.

I noticed that a small fighter seemed to head to the other side of the moon, the side not covered with Jedi towns. I banked and descended towards the far side, and had the others inform the Jedi Council about this.

I flew over the trees, and spotted a valley thick with plant life. I would have flown over except that I felt a disturbance in the Force. The scent of the Dark Side is strong here. Landing in a small forest near the valley, I made sure my lightsaber was with me, as I descended from the cockpit. After making sure Rocky will act as security guard for the fighter, I headed towards the valley, the stench growing with every step. Not only that, I began to spot signs of an ancient civilization here, perhaps of the long-extinct Massassi race.

Barberous stood and moved about the structure, looking for any type of amulet or scepter or other strange object some long dead Sith infused with dark side power. As his search progressed, he found runes that glowed. "Sith Script..." he muttered. They stated that some ancient sith power was to be had on another part of the moon, and by the description, it was the Massassi Temple the rebelion used.

He sighed and stood, exiting the structure as he felt the movement in the Force. A Force adept was approaching and in this place, most likely a Jedi. He scowled at teh jungle through his visor and spoke out with the Force, once he felt that he was being searched for.

The rumbling voice reached the mind of Daniel softly, like a distant storm. Not overpowering, but like a soft voice from behind. "Get lost on a nature walk, Jedi?"

The moment the voice reached my mind, I knew it was a Sith. Which faction becomes the question.

"I'm not lost. I just decided to view the wildlife, Sith." I quipped back.

Konas entered the system, and soon made his way down through the clouds. He came in contact with the Jedi temple, and requested landing. Flipping a few switches as he did a fly by overtop, he came around and began to land.

"Also, send word that I arrived to Master Masaki, which ever one is around, if any," He said as the Starhead landed in the hangar at the bottom of the temple reformed to rebel base reformed to Jedi Academy.

He stepped outside of his Starhead and looked around, he hopped off the top of the fighter and took a breath. As he breathed in he felt something's presence. Something that wasnt meant to be here other than the old sith temples.

"A sith, here? Wow, not again," He said to himself quietly.

Only a gentle chuckle came across as the temporary mind link was terminated.

Barberous looked at the R5. "Load up. Prep the ship for launch and hold on standby. Send word to Aurous that the Jedi are aware." The droid beeped and went about doing just that, as the Sith Lord moved back to the temple and simply sat down on the gentle stairway leading to it and waited. The Jedi would come to him, so why waste energy to meet him in the jungle?

On the ship in orbit of the other moon, a gold gauntleted, four fingered hand worked the controls. "Wort..." the creature muttered to himself, activating the engines to speed towards the nearby Jedi moon, if needed.

I moved in, seeing more signs of Massassi civilization, until I reached a small temple, smaller than the main temple several thousand km away. I easily spotted a man swathed in red robes that made him stick out like a sore thumb in the forest, and from the waves of darkness rolling off him, I knew he was a Sith, possibly a Sith Lord.

The Sith, on the other hand, would see a young man, not much older than a boy, wearing a dark blue shirt, khaki jeans bearing numerous pockets, a dark green jacket/overshirt and finally, military-issue boot-shoes. A brown ponytail sticks out of the base of the head, slightly braided in a fashion that male members of the Masaki Family tend to use. The brown eyes betray experience, a short life that few people and even fewer Jedi have gone through.
The Deep Shadowlands
21-01-2005, 06:44
The Sith stands slowly and nods to the young man. "Greetings, Jedi... though you look only the age of an advanced Padawan." He starts to examine the younger man as he examined his own students, speaking slowly as he soaked in Daniel's aura. "Strong in the Force, skilled in combat I can only assume, confidence brimming... but soft. Your anger seems dormant, for the most part."

He crossed his arms and hmmphed. "So why are you here, young one? I hope I didn't drag you all the way out here... I'm not much for small talk."

"Well, I was just wondering what a Sith Lord is doing here, within reach of over a hundred powerful Knights and Masters, and that's just in the system. Surely it's not just to have tea and scones with us." I said wryly.
The Deep Shadowlands
22-01-2005, 01:22
Attention turned to the TIE as he watched the R5 load itself in and immediatly fall out of the bomb bay. The Sith sighs. "This is why I like the R2 series..." he uses the force to get the droid upright and looks back at the young Jedi.

"I came here for what is around us. The Dark Side energy in the area. Unfortunately, I didn't find some powerful artifact or some amazing device. I found Sith Script telling me to go to the Temple your Academy is in. But I have several other sites to visit, today. So, if you will excuse me..." He steps towards the bomber, that the R5 successfully loaded itself into. "I shall be on my way."

The Deep Shadowlands
22-01-2005, 03:04
"Weak fool." he muttered to himself, seeming dissappointed. "You'd let a Sith wander around looking for buried treasure? If you're the future of the Order, we'll take over easily. At least until the next war, in which you'll most likely prevail. Balance of the Force and all that..." Stepping to the Bomber he climbed atop. "Tell me something, child... have you ever been to Korriban?"
CoreWorlds
22-01-2005, 03:38
"Hmm. No." I said, concentrating on the Force. "It isn't on any of my vacation lists. But I do suspect that you'll be having some trouble going there."

With that, I reached inside the TIE to screw up it's insides. If it works, then the Sith will be stranded here. If it doesn't, there's always the Jedi pilots now lifting off in various fighters.

The ship in space didn't go unnoticed, as a strike cruiser and two gunships were vectored in towards it, ordering it to power down all engines and shields and prepare for a boarding inspection.

Barberous felt teh young one reach out and pushed back through the Force, adding a bit of light lightning to make him not want to do that again. "You should go there sometime. Thousands of years of Sith history in one place..." Reaching to his belt, taking a disk out and tosses it at him. "The name is Lord Barberous." He dropped into the cockpit and activated the engine. As it powered up, he waved at the Jedi and lifted off. This was not the run of the mill Sith.

As the bomber climbed through the atmosphere, it sent out a callback signal. The modified pirate raider lurched forward as it accelerated towards Yavin IV, but it accepted transmission. The creature responding was a suprise. A Commander Elite, shouting at the gunships. "Go to Sol, Demon!" The Sith Elite continued to shout insults at the pursuing ships, all the while getting closer to the Bomber.

The disk Barberous tossed contained a list of names and locations. Tombs of the Dark Lords of the Sith, most that were stripped useful of artifacts, no doubt.

I caught the lightning and bounced it up and down like a ball in thought. I also grabbed the disk, replacing it in my pocket. As he lifted off in his bomber, I was confused about this Lord Barbarous. What kind of Sith is he? He seems almost...reluctant to engage in war with us, even though I know he will. He's definitely not your average Sith Lord.

I dissipated the lightning ball, and headed to my own fighter to get back to the Academy. I hopped into the cockpit and turned on the repulsarlifts. Rocky twittered a question.

"Nothing much, Rocky. Just a little talk, and oddly enough, he hasn't drawn his lightsaber yet. Most Sith I know would have begun to fight by now, but not this guy." I said. He whistled again. "Yeah, that's what I was thinking. He's definitely not average..."

I headed back to the Academy hangars, where the Council awaited. Well, at least Grandfather and Master Elendil.

"Grandfather, Master." I bowed after disembarking, and pulled out the disk. "This Sith Lord is named Barbarous, and I have good reason to believe that he's not the average Sith. He's different."

"What do you mean, Daniel?" Grandfather Alex asked.

"I mean that he seemed almost...Jedi, though he chose the Dark. It's odd."

"Hmm. That it is. And that's what will make this Barbarous all the more dangerous, much like the late Count Dooku..." Elendil said.

"Ah," Said Konas and he walked out from behind Elendil, his face tense. "So that is the sith I sensed. I agree, with what I could feel he seems different."

Konas looked over Daniel, and a giant warm smile grew across his face. "Its been quite a while. Quite a while, how've ya been man?"

In orbit, the bomber redocks with the pirate raider and the two arch away from the planet, getting away from the planet before vanishing through a hyperspace tunnel.

Barberous stepped to the copilot's seat and sat, looking out at hyperspace. Aurous, on the other hand, was busy plotting new jump coordinates. They'd make a couple more random jumps to throw off any possible pursuit, before heading towards their next objective.

The gunships pursuing jumped after the pirate ship, hoping to learn where it's going next. The Strike Cruiser took point and stayed at the Yavin System to ensure that no other enemy is around.

Konas looked over Daniel, and a giant warm smile grew across his face. "Its been quite a while. Quite a while, how've ya been man?"
"I'm fine, Master Konas." I grinned. "So, it looks like we're going to have yet another Sith cult mucking up the universe. That makes at least four so far."

There's the main cult, which is Palpatine and Vader, as well as their underling Sith Knights. There's the Doomingsland cult, which includes the *gag* PredAlien Sith Lord. After three jumps, they made their way towards their objective. They had been spotted along their route once or twice, each time heading in the same general direction.

"Hutt Space. You name it and they have a way to make a profit off it." Barberous said softly, whether to himself or to his apprentice was uncertain, though. Outside the cockpit windows was the Gangster's World, Nal Hutta.

The Commander Elite rotated the ship and dove towards the surface of it's moon, Nar Shaddaa. Slightly better than the planet it orbits, but not much.

--------

Landing in one of the midlevels, not the elite's upper levels, both exited and armed the auto defenses. Barberous was wearing different armor now, one without the cloak and with a simpler helm. His saber was not hung at his waist, but the armor provided room enough to conceal it. He alone would draw attention.

The golden Elite with him, however, drew much more. Moving through the crowds of mercenaries, pirates, thieves, smugglers and a few spies from teh powers that be, the two carried on a conversation. "We should leave this area quickly. The Hutt is angry enough without us drawing a mob."

Aurous nodded. >>I'm still confused about why you spared the boy. He was barely a Knight.<< He paused as they entered a lift and took it down.

The red armored Sith sighed. "I spared him because I had no reason to kill him... and doing so would have been foolhardy. If he found me, it is most likely others were on their way. Jedi Masters. They spotted us much too soon. There were more ruins to search..." The doors opened and the two stepped out, heading towards the slug who they had bussiness with.

The two Sith were admitted entrance to the Hutt's stronghold without words being exchanged. Intimidation is a wonderfull thing.

Down a string of corridors to the main hall, the two walked in silence. They trusted the crowd they walked through more than the slug's lackeys.

The Hutt, a young upstart one of his race, chuckled as the two appeared. >>Ah, the Sith and his Covenant apprentice. You have my credits?<<

"We do. But you shall not be getting them."

>>Hey... you think you can try and back out now? We had a deal, Sith! Let me remind you of where you are. My fortress, not yours. Who do you think you are? Vader?<< He laughed and got the rest to do so as well.

It was the last thing he did, as Aurous threw thermal detonator at the Hutt, which sailed into his mouth and was swallowed. The Hutt started to scream and yell, of course, and the two Sith drew their weapons(Barberous a normal saber and Aurous the plasma sword of an Elite) and ran out to the corridors. A few of the gaurds ran too, more away from teh Hutt than to kill the Sith.

The explosion rocked the room and sent peices of the Hutt all over the walls and ceiling and floor. Not to mention the gaurds who couldn't get away. The ones who lived were covered in gore and the ones who ran with the Sith were dead in seconds.

It took the Master and Apprentice only ten minutes to get back to the elevator, killing whoever they saw fit and giving doses of electricity to others, who were only considering attacking.

Aurous turned his saber off as tehy rode and looked at his Master. >>I think that will send a message to others to not take a polite Sith lightly.<<

"Indeed," Lord Barberous responded as he replaced the saber in the gauntlet of his armor. "Very good aim you have, too. The look on the Hutt's face was entertaining, to say the least."

Then they were in the crowd again, moving towards their ship, getting more looks than last time as the word that an Elite and an armored warrior were here. The small amounts of blood splattered on them added to the looks as well.

----------

Again, the pirate ship left a hanger and moved into orbit. "Set a hyperspace jump. Take us back to Kashyyk. I'll be in the rear, in meditation."

The Elite just nodded and made the jump into hyperspace, not taking the precausion of a haphazard course, as there were no ships chasing them.

Barberous moved to the small cabin he had on the ship ans sat, removed his armor and sat on what passed for a bed. Then he closed his eyes and quickly let his mind drift.

Through the void, his mind floated, getting flashes of the future of the universe, this galaxy in particular. As many others discovered, meditating in a city or in orbit of a planet gave you the future of that city or planet, but in hyperspace... the galaxy opened up to him.

He had seen his death three times. He thought it was four, but he experienced that vison a few months ago and survived. In one, he was beheaded. Another, he was ejected out an airlock and in the third, his apprentice struck him down in a duel. He prefered the first or third. Airlock deaths were the least pleasant...

Now though, he saw the war he would fight from Kashyyk. He knew they'd find his academy and he knew that the wookies would be furious. A group of Wookies and Jedis was not a good combination for whoever they attacked and he saw many Sith die in that vision. Many Wookies and Jedi as well, but he had no cause to care about them. The time it would happen was impossible to tell, because of the unchanging forest...

I smirked, as a remote detected me and suddenly found it's lasers reflected every which way by what seems to be a shield of blue light, but really my lightsaber smoothly blocking the lasers. Then it was sliced in two smoking pieces, lasting less than ten seconds.

"Hey, bro!" Taylor grinned. "You going to search for that Sith guy?"

"Yup!" I said. "In the meantime, you two continue your training with Gramps, ok?"

They stiffened but nodded, and I chuckled inwardly, knowing just how tough Grandpa is when he's training students. You'd think he was a regular 65 year old man, but he's extremely powerful in the Force, and his lightsaber skills are second to none. He defeats me every time we duel, though I have come close at times.

"Be careful, Brother." Jacob spoke softly.

"I will, Jake. I'll see you two soon, then. The Force be with you, always." I said, then headed to my room to pack some clothes and refresheries, and then I headed to the hangar.

The hyperspace tunnel fractured around the ship and they find themselves back home. Soon the ship is gliding across the canopy of the trees and after it lands, the Master and Apprentice immediatly go to the main hall, to confer with the others.

"The Jedi are aware of my apprentice and I. I was interuppted in my search of the Yavin ruins by a young Knight. My unusal demeanor allowed my to escape into orbit, where Aurous was outrunning ships the Jedi called in." Barberous said, taking a seat. The others were the masters seat and their apprentices standing at their sides.

The Sith Lord continued. "We shoulc search Yavin's jungles again... but I suggest sending apprentices. The tremor they send will be much smaller than mine."

Another Sith spoke up. "What about the Hutt? He is a loose cannon and could reve-" He stops when he sees Aurous chuckling.

>>The slug swallowed a thermal detonator. Sends a message to the rest of the underworld too.<<

The conversation continued on for a few minutes, discussing various small encounters that had happened over the past few weeks.

"Enough." Barberous raised a gauntlet. "We need the information in the Yavin temples, but we need to distract the Jedi.... Sparta."

The faceless assassin stepped from the shadows, where a few of the masters did not know he lurked. That allways unsettled them... the fact he communicated through teh Force was more so. Yes, Lord Barberous.

"Go out and wreak havoc far from Yavin. If needed, take another with you. I want teh Jedi looking at our left hand while our right sneaks into thier pockets." He smirked in his helm, though none could see it.

Aurous. You will accompany me. An Elite draws the attention we seek. And the two exit, when Barberous doesn't protest.

---------

Barberous called several apprentices and initiates before the defacto council. "We need those of your relative weakness in the Force for an operation against the Jedi. An operation where the tremor from one of us would be easily felt by the Jedi."

Another master stands and picks two out of the bunch. "Initiate Organa and Apprentice Vargas." The two step forward and Berberous considers the two women. One was elven, the other human.

"These will do nicely. Brief them and give them a YT-2000. I want them on their way as soon as Sparta and Aurous depart."

----------

Soon, two ships depart, one carrying the Assassin and Apprentice, the other carrying the apprentice and initiate. They headed in opposite directions and jumped at nearly the same time.

One was heading towards Yavin, the other towards nav point 000, Corescant.

"Yup," Konas said and looked behind him making sure the droid was in place. "We are all set..."

He flipped a few switches and the engines hummed to life, the ship lifted off the ground. It moved towards the hangar door, then flew up into the sky.

"So," Konas said. "Any ideas where it could be, and if not, how we could find it? I have a few ideas of my own."

"Alright." I nodded, and closed my eyes. Reaching out into the Force, I felt like I was in a great ocean, with eddies and currents flowing this way and that. There are the minor pockets of darkness, like the petty criminals, and then there are the greater evils, like the Sith. Right now, I couldn't feel much.

"Nothing much right now, but I'll keep on it. For now, I suggest we head into Coruscant. There's someone in the lower levels that might be able to give us a clue or two." I said. Underworld informants can be useful, when you twist their arm the right way.

Near Yavin, the small YT-2000 careened into real space and enetered orbit of the gas giant. On the other side was Yavin IV and allready the ship was visable to all in the system. If and when it was questioned, they were a survey team from a private firm, sent to explore ancient civilizations.

-------------

The fast marauder carrying the two assassin Sith streaked through hyperspace, their course taking them staright at where the city covered planet would be.

They did have to drop out once, to avoid a star that impeded their path, but that was to be expected as one approached the core.

Aurous, tell me something. Why are you fighting along side 'demons' now? Why did you seperate from the Covenant? Came a curious query from the faceless Sparta.

>>That is something I do not speak of in detail. Suffice it to say that they said I had grown much too angry to be a capable Commander. So I took my armor and my sword and I left. Barberous found me and saw potential. I still consider humans and other aliens as Demons, but as an outcast... I am no longer a Commander. I am Aurous, a Sith. As is Beryl." He answered, refering to the Elite that followed the Commander faithfully into the galaxy.

------------

The clouds of the moon parted as the frieghter dropped through them, proceeding to follow a search pattern over a large swath of ruins away from the Academy after a while, it located a suitable landing spot and set down.

Exiting, the two Sith women and three droids, one astromet and two that were reminisant or the ancient Probots used to locate the Rebellion on Hoth. Those two began to float above, searching for anything of interest.

Vargas and Organa got some scannung equipment out and began to use it, as they were told to only react to what the Force gave them and not to use the Force unless provoked to. Though, they both realised what would happen if they were forced to, on this moon.

Meanwhile, the young Masaki twins Taylor and Jacob were deciding where to go hiking as they headed outside of the academy. Taylor wanted to hike as far as they could before the sun set, while Jacob favored a closer path. They played rock, paper, scissors and Taylor won.

So the twins went hiking through the jungle of Yavin, careful to stay on well-beaten paths. Unknown to them, their path will take them into a portion of the jungle where ruins lie and their first real encounter with the Sith...

"Alright here we are," Konas said as the spinning colors around them ended. The stars came back into normal view, as well as other ships, many other ships. Up ahead was the tiny speck of the city planet. The Starhead came closer and closer to it.

"So kid, here we are," Konas said. "Full of politicans, smugglers, lowly scum... all about the same. The capital of the galaxy, lets see what news this place has to bring.."

He reached Coruscant and descended through the air, not bothering to hop in the traffic of other ships. Air control reached them.

"Hail Starhead, who are you, and what buisness to you have here?" The voice asked.

"This is Jedi Master Konas, and Jedi Knight Daniel," Konas said. "We are here requesting landing, we have a mission to do and we need some information."

"Very well Master Konas," The voice said. "Permission granted to land in dock 430."

"Thank you," Konas said as he brought it down to one of the hundreds of space ports that dotted the planet. He landed in dock 430 and opened the hatch.

I led the Jedi Master down into the seedier portions of the city-planet, where there's always something for everyone. There's the pimps and the whores, the deathstick dealers and the spice peddlers, and even your random mutant creature from the black lagoon. It's a place some of the snootier members of the Senate and nobility would not dare even venture a meter. But Jedi Knights are a different story, even those with royal blood.

As I found the pub where my informant frequents, a few drunk aliens looked up to see who entered. One stared, I stared back, and he blinked. I waltzed my way inside and sat down at the bar.

"Bartender, one of those, please." I pointed to a fizzy brown liquid that could pass for cola here. The 'tender was a Toydarian, and he compiled, passing the drink to me as I plinked a few credits on the table. I leaned on the table, taking in the sight and smell of the burly customers, any one of whom could pick a fight at random. Fortunately, I'm a fairly frequent visitor, and they know not to mess with Jedi. Unless they're drunk, that is. All I need to do now was find Jaster.

Konas entered the pub and sighed at such a disugsting place. He looked around at all the dirty tables, saw men and women drinking from dusty mugs, he winced as one guy was laying on the floor, flies buzzing around him. I wonder how long he's been there. Konas said. He dodged the glance of a Rodian and sat down on a stool next to Daniel.

"What would you like?" The toydarian asked.

"Uhm, nothing thank you," Konas said looking around and motioned to Daniel. "I am just with him."

"We're here to see Jaster." I said. "Seen him around?"

The Toydarian jerked a snout-nose in the direction of a door with a couple of big burly bouncers. "Over there, but he sees no one without an appointment."

I simply flashed a cold smile that unnerved the pachyderm-snouted creature. "We'll see about that."

I walked up to the door, ignoring the sudden quietness of the bar. One bouncer seem to be a Trandoshan, lizard-creatures who are the mortal enemies of Wookiess. They're not as easily suspectable to mind tricks as some other creatures are, but they are vulnerable to more...decisive means. The other is a Gammorean, common piglike species that are employed for their strength.

"Stand aside. I must speak with Jaster." I said, using the Force to carry my message.

"You have an appointment, boy?" The Trandoshan asked, sneering in a hissing fashion.

"I don't need one." I said, waving my hand in a odd fashion anyway. Perhaps it'll work this time.

"You don't--" The lizard then blinked, and began to hiss angrily. "Foolisssh child, I'll make you pay for that!"

Before he could lash out with those long claws of his, I have already began blocking them, punching the chest, then landed another blow in the face, knocking him out. The Gamorrean raised his axe to attack but in a flash of blue light, he was severed in half from waist to shoulder. I then opened the door with the Force and stepped inside.

Meanwhile, a couple of drunks decided they wanted to "test" the other Knight, and with vibroblades, blasters and knives, they attacked...

The first scumbag swung at his chest with a vibroblade, but he jumped back and swung his arm, the sword flew from the man's hand and flew towards another man, pinning him by his shirt against the wall.

The other men looked at each other, and smirked, then they all came at once.

"Let the party begin," Konas said as he raised a table and swung it around like a baseball bat...

A hunter-killer droid stood in my way, rusty but still quite dangerous. I reflected blaster bolts away from me, though one grazed a shoulder. I ignored the pain and *CRACK!* apparated behind the droid and whirled around to cut it down. Now all that stood in my way was the last door, which I flung open.

"Jaster Felar." I smiled as I discreetly healed my shoulder. "You should hire better guards."

The pudgy man squeaked in fear. "What do you want, Masaki?"

"Information. Perhaps 500 credits will suffice?" I said, slipping money into his hands.

"For that, I could tell you that someone killed a Hutt. They're quite angry."

Now we're getting somewhere. "Who killed the Hutt?"

"I don't know. All I heard is that someone stuffed a thermal detornator down his throat, and what's left is slug meat." A small smile threatened to blossom, but I had to stay in Professional Cop Mode.

"Do you have anything else?" I asked.

"No, sorry. That's all I know." I searched his feelings, but could't detect any lies. Of course, it could cleverly hidden or something, but this guy is about as subtle as a nerf in a glass shop. There's a good chance he's telling the truth as far as he knows.

The marauder lept into realspace near the planet city and dove for it, answering hails with just a broad stroke, letting the ship translate Sparta's mindspeech into words. That technology was unique to his ship, which bore no name or registry anywhere on it. He therefore called it The Unnamed.

Landing in an upper area port, the two exited and avoided immediate detection by using the force on the crews about, and the old as dirt method of putting a heavy cloak on Aurous.

Into a lift they went and Aurous spoke, >>We need a to cause chaos. Who should we target?<< The faceless assassin didn't respond though. He was too busy reaching out with the force to see who would be the best target.

A cantina will do. I would prefer not to draw the attention a dead Senator or two would bring. Not yet.

-----------------

They found one of many countless cantinas and entered. They examined the place and found it olny had two exits. One therough a storeroom and one through the main door.

Sparta raised his hand and a shelving unit in the storeroom ripped from it's housing and slammed into the dorrway into it. Thus was one exit cut off. The other was sealed by Aurous, who removed teh cloak, killed someone running for the door with the force and sealed the door. He then fried the controls.

Sparta ignited his saber and Aurous his plasma sword. Each mind heard the Assassin's words in their minds. Do not struggle, it will only make your deaths all the more painfull.

That didn't phase anyone but a few dancing girls, who started to scream in various languages. The rest, a whole bar full, attacked.

Saber and Plasma rended flesh, force shoved back many but their were too many of them. Aurous, prepare yourself And Sparta went to his knees, using the force to create a shockwave that blew everyone but the Sith into the walls, but even Aurous was thrown back a few feet. The survivors were dispatched by the two Sith drawing out the life essence within them. All except the dancing girls.

Sparta used the force to open up the storeroom and looked at them. Wait two minutes, then alert the authorities. And feel lucky that you still live... I know a Hutt that would love to be in your shoes. At that, the two exited, Aurous replacing his cloak.

>>That will garner attention. Should we go after more of these fools? Or take out a single higher up?<<

Neither. There was a recording device in that establishment. They know who did this. And the girls will tell them what I said about the Hutt.

The two vanished into the night.

-------------------------------------------------

The two sith on Yavin, however, were still busy using scanning equipment and droids to find any strange markings.

And they did. Inside the ruins was a tablet with Sith Script on it. As neither of them can read the language, the tablet was photographed and logged. They moved on to another room, not speaking to one another very much. It was quite obvious neither liked each other and they had a history of competition to prove it.

The droids, meanwhile, scouted around and found a body. This brought the other sout and sure enough, it was a skeleton. Trandoshan, from the looks of it. And Jedi, from the lightsaber that he still held. The elvin Sith took the saber, ignoted it and examined the weapon. "In good shape. Not sure I'd like a blue saber though. I much prefer purple..." Jacob, being the more attuned to the Force than Taylor is, due to his self-training in basic alchemical principles, stopped his older brother-by-5-minutes. "I sense someone in the ruins."

"Who are you to give me orders?"

"I'm the one with the lightsaber. Now go." Amara moved back to the other side of the temple structure, past the skeleton and out the back, looking for anything in the rubble.

I lead the Jedi Master into a series of winding paths, slowly increasing in height, until I could hear the distance sounds of sirens, ambulance and police. As we got closer, I began to feel the taint of the Dark Side around.

A small crowd began to gather, and police droids held them back while a senior officer walked up to us.

"You're Jedi, right?" He asked.

I nodded. "Jedi Knight Daniel Masaki. What went on here?"

"Someone's done a job on all those partygoers in that cantina." The captain said. "The deceased all bear wounds that were cauterized, like from high heat. Autopsy reports are forthcoming, but I can safely say that there's a Dark Jedi, possibly two, on the loose."

I nodded, scowling at the news. That would explain the darkness I felt earlier. "Did anyone see where they fled?"

"Not really. Those dancing girls you see," He pointed towards Twi'lek girls wrapped in blankets and crying their eye out. "They were spared for some reason, probably to announce that the public is not safe or something, but they did give a description of the attackers."

The police captain called a younger police artist, who sketched a reasonable facsimile of the Dark Jedi. Odd, one of them seemed to be similar to a creature from one of the FPS hologames I use to keep my skills in shape. What was it...oh yeah, HALO. Especially that sword of his. The hazy blue hologram fluctuated in front of the Grand Admiral. The hemmed light showing a man hooded and cloaked, hidden in shadow. “What do you make of this fluctuation in the force, could it be Palpatine or Vader? You assured me they were dead.”

“Much is unknown in the force Admiral Thrawn, but do not underestimate the Emperor. Vader, we know has perished, however the Death Star was not utterly destroyed, it is possible for the emperor to have survived. He is far more adept in the ancient abilities of the Sith than I, if he wished to remain hidden from me, he would be.”

The Grand Admiral sighed at the limitations of his resources. “What do you theorise the cause of this fluctuation, if not caused by the Emperor?”

“I do not know, however I know the direction of this disturbance. I can track it down Admiral.”

“Very well, take your ship and make for the disturbance, be sure to keep me informed. If you find a Jedi, be sure to capture it. If it is a Sith, do what you will.”

“Yes Grand Admiral.”

Darth Basileus carefully paced the command deck of his Star Destroyer. It was no longer a small matter, the tilt in the force was great, the Darkside confirmed. What was he to do, should he subjugate this newly discovered world? Or should he make them join him….

Alyssa shouted and screamed at the elf inside, even as the ship began to power up. So she reached out with the Force to try and strand the ship, but was met with an electircal shock from Amara through the ship's hull. It sent her back on her ass and she sat ther as the frieghter climbed and banked away.

Aurous continued to spread panic in the crowds, creating a mob scene. He felt the presence of the Jedi and lept down to the now clear walkway. >>Jedi Demon!<< he shouted in the direction the master came from. He reached down to his side and took off another sword, which he ignited.

Now he would prove what he was made of...

Sparta, meanwhile, was causing much more subtle panic. He incited a small mob to do his bidding, temporarily, standing on a statue and ordering them to smash windows and all around riot. The poice tried to stop him, so he ordered them to assault the police and deflected a few blaster shots they got off with his saber.

He could feel Aurous and both Jedi. They were all meeting symiltaniously. An interesting thing... So he waited, sending out another tremor through the force, this one much larger and much more clear. It carried a simple message with it. War is brewing. Careful, lest it boil, Jedi. followed by harsh laughter. Allmost all minds could hear it, others just got chills. Alyssa turned her head, to look directly at Amara, who was nearly at the ship. "Amara! Where are... hell!" She broke into a fast run from a stand still, showing she had much strength. Amara and the droids were allready inside though... and the door sealed shut.

Alyssa shouted and screamed at the elf inside, even as the ship began to power up. So she reached out with the Force to try and strand the ship, but was met with an electircal shock from Amara through the ship's hull. It sent her back on her ass and she sat ther as the frieghter climbed and banked away.

A Sith stranded on a moon of Jedi, she looked at the twins. "Uh..."

"Well, that wasn't very kind of your friend." Taylor muttered. "I think...we should get back to the Academy, get you on another ship to whereever you need to go."

"Yeah, and if you're Force-sensitive enough, which I can tell you are, you might even be able to stay and become a Jedi!" Jacob said, smiling.

The voice was not like Barberous'. This one was like ice and was as loud as any sounds a gun could make. To any not trained in the force, it would seem to wrap around them, unstoppable. To teh Jedi, it would just be unsettling.
I felt the unsettling feeling, and reached the mob. With the power of the Force, I sent a very strong push at the mob to knock them out and let the cops handle them.
Meanwhile, I could see the Sith on a statue. I began to speak, my voice strengthened with the Force. "Dark One! I am Jedi Knight Daniel Masaki, grandson of Jedi Master Alexander Masaki. I order you to cease and desist now...or face justice!"

Sparta dropped to the ground and stood, facing the Jedi. I am Sparta. Sith Assassin and servent of Lord Barberous. And my purpose is complete. To get you here, Masaki As the distance closed, the reason for speaking only through the force was apparent. The Sith had only the shape of a face, but no actual sensory organs.

He readied his blade and stood their, waiting.

Alyssa pulled herself up. "That was no friend. That was a creature who just stranded me among Jedi, with no hope of escpape." She growled and then looked at them. "I don't suppose you'd be willing to quietly loan me a ship?" The anger inside her was tremendous, the only thing on her mind was escaping to kill Amara.

Sparta simply 'stares' the Jedi down, ignoring the panicked crowd around them. The sight of a Jedi was uplifting and thrilling. The site of a Sith was frightening. The site of both... pandemonium was the word of the day.

"Jedi, I have outfought Knights before you were born. Long before the New Republic came to power, as well." At that, he chrarged. In the flowing cloaks, he seemed to glide at an amazing speed towards the Jedi, slashing and straiking at his saber, with his own deep crimson blade.

Alyssa got down close to Jacob. "I could count to infinity and not have my anger subside. That Sith bitch is going to get her arms chopped off." She grumbles, standing and walking off the way the twins had come. If civilizaton meant Jedi, so be it.

In space, Amara's ship had vanished into the hyperspace tunnel, emerging several hours later above the forest world. Several minutes after landing, the ship was approached by Barberous.

"You have... where is Apprentice Organa?"

"Yavin, as far as I know." the elf answered, slowly.

Barberous was silent a moment. "You allowed her to be captured?"

"Well..."

"You do realise that she knows the location of this place, yes?!" he was yelling, and reaching for his saber. He paused when she produced the pyramid. "Holocron." He whispered.

"Yes, Lord Barberous. I found it in the ruins."

Barberous took the artifact and examined it. After a moment, he sighed. "You have a reprieve from Death. Though you are now stripped of all seniority in your class and you must train six more hours a day for three weeks." And he walked off, agthering together the other masters of the Academy to speak...

Konas tilted his head to the side and sighed. A covenant who was here, as a sith. This was new to him, he'd never seen a covenant sith before. He looked at his hand for a moment acting casual, then grabbing his lightsaber. He twirled the ivory hilt in his hand for a moment, it was unique due to the fact it was twice as long as a normal hilt. He then ignited it, with a ssnap-hiss the double gold blades ignited. He twirled it around again, then stood a the ready.

"Hello there Mr. Sith," He said friendly.

The Imperial Star Destroyer burst out of Hyperpsace, the gleaming white predator instantly asserted its presence over the green world of Yavin IV. Darth Basileus quickly made his way towards the sensor console, looking down on the young bridge officer he almost laughed at his age. Surely there was a minimum age requirement for the Imperial Navy? “Lieutenant, scan the planets surface.”

“What am I looking for my lord?”

“I don’t know, yet… But scan for anything out of the ordinary, alert me when you find it.” Moving away from the sensor station Lord Basileus, lifted his small comm device. “Captain Velgar, launch your squadron.”

As the vast fighter bay of the Star Destroyer slowly opened, the ominous scream of Tie Interceptors emanated through the vacuum of space.

Coruscant

Grand Admiral Thrawn was completing the final stages of the Corlenian offensive when he was disturbed by his aide. Looking up from his work the Grand Admiral tilted his head past a holo statue, making eye contact the pale blue face waited for a report. “Admiral” the young officer said while standing to attention. “We are receiving reports of small scale civil unrest in the telusi sector.”

Interested the Grand Admiral put down his work. “The nature of the unrest?”

“We have received confirmed reports of force sensatives conducting a murder spree. We have the special division on route as we speak, however our officers are not able to handle them. There is one Black Order operative currently on the scene.”

“Which one?”

“I believe its Daniel Masaki.”

Snorting a small laugh Thrawn could not have expected anything else. Wherever there was trouble or something of concern in the Empire, that boy always managed to find it, and on some occasions he managed to settle the problem quickly. “The dark squad are on route, well done. Order them to capture whoever is killing my citizens alive. A suitable interrogation must be found.”

Coruscant Orbit – Death Star

The assault craft was being prepared, the eight man team quickly ran up the loading ramp with their gear in toe. The black figures clutched Cortosis blades at their side as they ,ade their way into the smoke filled cavity.

“Docking ramp raised.”

“Activating thrusters. Course set. Estimated time to arrival, one minute twenty four seconds.”

The gunship burst from the hanger and thrust down towards the planets surface. Passing through the upper atmosphere, the hull glowed a brilliant red from the friction.

Captain Helins was insuring the equipment was ready. Looking back into the hold he checked on the force inhibitor, while his men readied their sonic guns. “Okay men, we have an unknown number of force sensitive assailants running amock on the promenade. We have been ordered by the Grand Admiral to secure them and detain themon the Death Star until an interrogation is reached. Shoot to stun, not to kill.”

“Yes Sir.” The troopers answered in unison.

As the gunboat leveled out in the horizon it sped past the vast sky scrapers that stretched into space, slowing down it neared their position.

“Okay men, get ready to jump. Activate Force inhibitor in three, two, one, Inhibitor activated. Lets go men!”

“As the drop ship hovered above a glistening battle of red and blue light, the troopers activated their jet packs and swarmed out of the shuttle.

OOC: It pushes back the Force, cutting off most Force-sensitives from the energy field and is an area-effect weapon. AFAIK, there are only two people who can still use the Force even with the inhibitors on, but I ain't telling you who! Dunno how much area it covers, though.

IC:
When the dropship neared the area, I soon felt the Force weaken, and then disappear. I jumped back from a swing, smirking as I saw Sparta seem to weaken. Let him see what it means to be a normal person! As a precaution, I reached into the inside of my jacket, and opened up a special pouch. In there, is a secondary weapon that I usually reserve for times like this. I pulled out a 12-inch twig, made from oak, and has a strange substance in it's core: dragon heartstring, good for curses and transfigurations.

"Surrender now, Sparta! You're finished!" I ordered, pointing the wand in a threatening fashion.

Alyssa didn't answer anything the twins asked her along the way to the Academy. She simply kept repeating the same vision of strangling the Amara when she got off this rock. Approaching the Academy, she stopped. "This is either progress, or a death wish."
At that, she asked the twins to lead her to whoever she had to see.

"You'll meet with our Grandfather, Master Alex Masaki." Taylor smirked. "He's real powerful, and will be able to help you out."

The twins lead her to their Grandfather's office. Upon entering, the young Sith girl will see that the old man is a sword collector. Just about every type of blade, from old Earth styles, to the lightsaber collection he has stashed in the corner of the room in a glass case, is in the room.

The Jedi Master himself turned around in a black leather chair, tailor-made for his old back. He's wearing royal clothing (think Count Dooku) denoting his status as patriarch of the Masaki Family and his hair and beard is almost completely white.

"Ah, hello, kids! I see you've brought in a guest." The old man said smoothly, reaching into the Force to test the girl's mental strength. He noticed a darkness in her, but didn't let it show. "Now tell me, how did you come by her?"

"Well, we were hiking in the woods out west of the Academy, and came up some ruins." Jacob said. "We then spotted a ship, and not one, but two girls surveying those ruins, plus several droids."

"The other girl, we felt something really cold about her." Taylor said. "While we were talking to uh..."

"Alyssa, right? Anyway, the other girl just seemed to panic and take their ship away. Alyssa needs a ride home." Jacob finished for his brother. "Though there's also something cold and dark about Alyssa."

"It's a good thing you brought her here. She will be taken care of." The Jedi Master assured the boys. "Now go off and wash up. I believe dinner will be in a few minutes in the mess hall."

"Yes, Master." The boys bowed and left.

"Alyssa, is it? The Dark Side, I see in you. Tell me, who are you, and why did you come here?" Master Masaki asked, his eyes seeming to pierce into her...

Daniel didn't have to bother with the stick. The soldiers didn't need guns. The Captain didn't need troops. The inhibitor took care of the Sith for them.

Sparta fell to his knees and reached out towards Daniel, saber shutting off and clattering to the platform. The Sith stayed like that for nearly three seconds, then simply fell forward, lifeless, or close enough. Apparently he wasn't lying when he said he outlived the Republic. His aged body was only kept alive by the Force and once that was severed from him, the shock simply stopped his heart.

Alyssa remained silent untill the two children left and she examinined the old man in front of her. "I am Alyssa Organa. I was sent here to explore and search the Yavin ruins, for Sith artifacts. “Sir the transport reports that he’s heading towards the Lower level transit lift, he is in hot pursuit of another Sith captain. Shall we pursue?”

“What’s the need. “Captain.”

“Yeah what is it Sela?”

“I have just found out from the schematics that the lift opens a vent at this level, it may be big enough for the Sith to escape down.”

“Where does it lead?”

“The hanger bay Captain.”

“Right, alert command, and take us down there, quickly.”

He was several stories away from the Jedi and still that had hit him dead center. He dove through the vent as teh lift stopped and he assessed the situation, but he was not at the hanger yet. In the hanger sat his objective...

The sleek and very unique Unnamed. A light ship with overly large engines and an AI on board that could translate Sparta's Force Speech. Impressive, though it actually lacked any weapons.

Barberous looked on as the academy was prepped for widescale evacuation. His own ship, carrying his TIE, was full of supplies. Other small attack ships and frighters were being prepared for launch, loaded with supplies.

Master Cyrano approached Barberous, the masked samurai/ninja outfitted man bowing. "There are too many hopefulls to transport, sir. We can only fit in a dozen, with the Masters and Apprentices."

The Sith Lord thought on this. "Pick the strongest and most powerful of them and get them onto the ships. Kill the rest or leave them to the Shadowlands to take." He answered, before moving to his ship, powering it up. Cyrano and Amara would be with him, so he simply checked systems. Amara joined him after a few minutes, sitting quietly.

"Your greed has cost us a prime location in the galaxy. You are lucky you had that holocron, or you would be food for a viper kinrath. As it is, I can only hope that you know now to balence hunger for power with the good of the Sith. I agree that you should have brought it to me alone, but you should have killed Alyssa first, or left with her and airlocked the poor girl. She is weak minded. The Jedi will find this place and may even turn her into one of them."

Amara still just stayed quiet, not wanting to cross Barberous further.

Alyssa looked at his as he probed her mind, concentrating and making a 'wall' in front of it. "Keep your mind out of mine." She said, but it really lacked much menace. She backed away from the old master, scowling. "If I tell, I'm as good as dead." That part was said with certainty, fear replacing anger in her mind. She knew that Barberous would have her hunted down. She knew the faces of many Sith masters that served him, in addition to the location of Barberous' little empire.
"Understandable." The Master nodded. "But look at you now. What else do you have to lose? They have abandoned you, presumably they think we'll kill you out of being a Sith. Surely there's no loss in telling us your Sith Master's location. Perhaps for the time being, you could stay among us. You could even learn a few tricks. If Barberous should choose to attack this Academy, he'll find that the Jedi are not without resources of their own."

Suddenly, his phone rang. He picked it up, and a Wookiee face appeared on the screen. "Master Lowbacca. To what do I owe the pleasure of seeing you again?"

The Wookiee Master howled for several minutes, while the Jedi Master nodded, smiling. then he hung up.

"It seems, my dear, that you don't have to tell us after all." The Master grinned. "The Kashyyk defense corps have discovered increasing activity in the bowels of their own planet. Master Lowbacca has detected an increase in Force usage there, as well. Minor, but enough. He has sent for a Jedi force to investigate it, and I'm happy to oblige."

He pulled out a key and a lightsaber (green blade) from a drawer, looks like a fighter key. "This key is for an older model X-wing that we rarely use nowadays, but it's still in fighting condition and fueled. It's on the far corner of the hangar bay, painted with dark blue stripes. You may take it and this lightsaber without further charge. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a force to assemble."

The Jedi Master gave the key and saber to Alyssa. She was escorted out the office, and the Master headed down the hall to the Council chambers.

I was impressed with the Sith. That lightning should have knocked him right out, if not outright fried him. I went to the turbolifts, and decided to jump, bouncing off the walls and thin ledges as I headed towards the vent he went through. I fell through the vent, and dropped to the ground, lightsaber at the ready.

Konas turned a corner and jumped up the fleet of stairs, he sensed Masaki nearby. He ran down a hallway and spun around a corner, dodging a merchant who was selling some very smelly fish. He saw Masaki around the corner and started after him, but stopped grabbed a fish and snapped some credits at the merchant.

Carry the fish he ran up to Daniel and nodded with a smile. "Hoy there."

Aurous had exited before Daniel, of course, but had not been seen. He was lurking in the shadows and simply heaved a thermal detonator at Daniel, bouncing it off a few crates, before he broke into a run towards the Unnamed, active camo outline warping the light hitting him. Less of a target, but still a target.

He got to the ship and scowled. The ramp was up, the way was blocked, soldiers everywhere and two Jedi. The Force was not being very kind to SIth today... not at all. Must be Karma or whatever.

Alyssa looked at the key and saber, wondering why the hell he actually gave her the two items. She walked towards the hanger though and after a minute she turned back and walked to the council chambers, following his aura through the Force. Saber was attached to belt and key in pocket.

"Well, looks like you're trapped, Sith." I grinned, lightsaber ignited. "Best surrender now. Thrawn would be quite interested in seeing what you're up to these days, not to mention the location of your headquarters and other stuff."

"Master Lowbacca has given us ample evidence that the Sith faction we met with earlier is currently trying to evacuate Kashyyk. He has ordered a blockade of the planet, but we all know that the Sith will be able to break through it without our help." Master Masaki said to his collegues.

"And what of the girl?" Master Emily Rydo asked.

"I have decided to give her a way out at any time, should she choose to leave. The old X-wing." Alex smiled. "Considering she's right outside this door, it seems that perhaps she wishes to stay after all."

"Could she be trained as a Jedi, rather than Sith?" Master Armas Elendil asked.

"It is possible, provided she could control her anger." Alex said. "If she accepts training and truly chooses to remain here, she will have to work on that anger. If she leaves, I believe she wishes to confront a fellow Sith about leaving her here. She'll surely fail at it in her current state of mind. But if focused on ending the threat the fellow Sith possess, instead of revenge..."

Emily nodded. "In the meantime, I can work with her, guide her as I guided Miss Kasandral."

"True." Master Masaki said, and closed his eyes. You may enter now, Miss Alyssa.

Daniel started after Aurous and Konas followed him. They ran in a doorway to find the Covenant Sith trapped between them, and a bunch of soldiers and such. Konas looked around and then tossed the fish at the feet of the sith.

"Have a nice day," Konas said, reigniting the saber.

As the Sith dived out of the cargo bay captain Helins smiled at the courage of the man. Charging down the shuttle bay after him he plunged into the air, as he fell behind the falling figure he quickly pressed a small key on his arm band. His jet pack igniting thrust him further down into the atmosphere. Pulling out his gun Helin targeted the Sith, now happily awaiting death. Charging his sonic cannon (Geonosian weapon Lightsabre invulnerable) he prepared a stun shot. Gently pressing the trigger, he fired.

As the wave made its way towards the enemy Helins turned on the afterburner and attempted to catch the Sith in mid air.

Falling through the city, Aurous had three options. One: try and land on a shuttle in the traffic below. Two: Try and land on a building, preferably in a pool. Three: Ride the train all the way to the station and impact the surface at about mach one.

He spread his arms and began to slow his speed, looking around at the traffic and edged towards them. As he fell, he sped his descent at one in particular. One of the large freight vehicles. He was aiming for it, but fell short. He instead colided with an air taxi, destroying one of teh rear couches as he does so. The Sith pulls himself up, bleeding from three or four open wounds and a fractured arm. Suprised he wasn't dead, he instinctivly holds a plamsa blade to the driver's throat and orders him to go deep, towards the levels far below, where the seediest people were...

Alyssa sighs and walks to the center of the room. "They're nearly on the opposite side of the planet from the Wookie capital. I don't know exactly where, but that information will get you close enough."

She looks at Masaki. "My anger is an assest. It gives modivation and can fuel the energy needs of a fight to the death. I will stay for now, but I want you to know something about these Sith... they are unlike most you have seen. The masters and Barberous himself know that anger must be harnessed and controlled. Too many Sith have died before ever figuring out the fact that to become a Sith Master or Lord and one day, Dark Lord of the Sith, you have to stay alive long enough to get there. Amara, the one who left me, may learn that very soon."

-----------

Barberous' two groups were ready. The first had been delayed, so now it would be one mass of thirty ships of all sizes from fighter to medium frieghters. They all began to lift off, climbing up through the trees and accelerating straight up, until they reached the canopy. The lead ships circled the hole twice while the rest exited and then the small fleet headed for orbit, the combined powers of the Masters on the ships sending ripples outwards, confusing sensor crews and greatly exxagerating teh number of ships they had for some ships, while decreasing it for others.

Barberous' ship was in the heart of the evacuating fleet, fueling most of those efforts personally. Amara was piloting while Cyrano monitored the blockade and helped distort the Sith group accordingly. The fighters and frighters in the lead opened fire at the ships impeding them, trying to force a hole so that the ships could get away from the planet before jumping to hyperspace.

Watching the soldiers with jetpacks go down after the Sith and miss their shots, I looked around for a vehicle, any vehicle that I could use. It's too far to apparate, and I'm not sure of being able to jump either.

I spotted a speeder and ran for it, hoping the owner left the key in there. Nope, no key, so I started hotwiring it with a little Force Lightning. Satisfied that it's working, I floored the throttle and dove down to the underworld (again!), trusting my piloting skills to avoid the now-angry traffic and follow the Force signature of the Sith.

"Hmm. Thank you for that new information. If you please, Master Rydo?" Alex said.

"Very well. Follow me Alyssa." The female Council member said, as she walked out of the room.

(assuming that the girl follows her)

"So, it is true. These Sith are more dangerous and their Master is far more competent than any we have faced before. I believe, against my better judgement, that we shall seek the aid of Grand Admiral Thrawn's forces, and also manipulate other Sith to attack his forces." Master Elendil said. "It is time we send notice to the Star Destroyer in orbit about this."

"Very well, I'll do that." Master Soloran said, and left for the communications room. There, he sent word to the ship above that the new Sith is at Kashyyk, at the far side of the planet, and that they are evacuating at this moment despite a blockade in place. He then requested aid from Thrawn in any way he sees fit.

"Master Regalo, alert the senior Padawans and Knights to prepare for deployment at any time. We now must be ready for another Jedi/Sith war." The younger Master nodded and also left.

"Master Alex, I will need your expertise in Dark matters to help me hunt down Lord Barberous. It will most likely take the both of us to finish him off, if young Daniel doesn't get to him first." Master Elendil smiled at his last joke.

Alex also smiled. "Indeed. I think we should start with looking at the Kashyyk base for any clues as to where they will go."

"Then that's where we'll start." Master Elendil said, getting up from his chair...

Wookiee roars could be heard as they saw a lot of enemies flying out of the canopy and into space. Fighters and light capital ships then began pouring fire into the Sith ranks, destroying many illusions. Master Lowbacca, however, was unaffected by the illusion and trickery and began targeting the lead ships with his X-wing. He wished old Jaina was with him, since he knows that the late human would not miss the opportunity to do battle in space with him, but he'd have to settle with the next generations of Jedi, who are tenacious enough. Literally barking orders, the Wookiee Jedi Master targeted the lead freighter, and let loose a stream of red laser bolts at it...

As Helins fell through the sky, he saw his enemy smash against a small Taxi. Crashing though the window a small dew of blood sprayed into the air. “Shit, he’s going to get away!”

Lifting a small tracking device from his leg pad, he threw the after burner onto full throttle. Almost within range he placed the round into his pistol and opened fire. The small magnet flew through the atmosphere impacting upon the air taxi. As Helins celebrated his victory, alarms started booming in his helmet, looking down at his forearm panel the fuel reserves all showed empty. With a crackle and a snort the jet pack gave out and Helins began to fall. “CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA……..” *THUD* Looking up in a daze He checked himself for injury. Looks like his new suit had done the trick, though his arm ached like hell, Helins considered himself lucky that nothing was broken.

Taking in his surroundings the elite soldier realized he was moving, looking at the drivers seat he saw a young man turning towards him with a smile. “Masak! After escaping the system of Kashyyk, the group dropped out of hyperspace one at a time and jumped randomly, scattering themselves across the Outer Rim. One master on each ship knew the final destination, but for now, they had to do what was needed. A nearly complete dissolution of the academy and vanish from the sight of the Jedi and other Sith.

Some ships went so far as to leave the galaxy, rising above the galactic disk, as it was rumored the Rebels did in the Galactic Civil War. Barberous was on one of those ships, along with two of the stongest masters. They had to avoid population centers. So, in the middle of the void, the galaxy 'below' them, three ships docked with each other, allowing the masters to confer without the use of the comm systems.

Landing at a clearing near it, he disembarked and awaited Wookiee Defense Forces and the Imperials, turning on Em-Teedee for translation.

“Your authorisation has been confirmed, switching your channel now captain Helins.”

“Emergency response control here, how can I help you captain Helins?”

“James, we have an escaped force user currently travelling due north from my present position. A V16 tracker has been placed on his vehicle, I want you to use the orbital installations to track him, and prepare a small assault force to take him out. I recommend the droids.”

“Pulling up Satellite B-12 in sector 18C, yes here he is, moving down towards the lower levels, I have his signature locked into the computer, he isn’t going anywhere. As for assistance, The assault droids as usual are ready to go. Five hundred of the Empires latest models, I’m sure you can use them.”

Laughing at the what the Empire considered small Helins had to make himself concentrate on the task at hand. “Thanks James, what’s his status now?”

“He has stopped the taxi, and is proceeding on foot, hes injured, it appears that he has collapsed. Okay, I have some outsider activity, he’s being taken inside a building. It’s a level four crime estate, nothing too large but they will have a little security. I’ll give you another assault force.”

“A thousand droids James? Isn’t that a little excessive?”

“Not really, the Empires last estimate was that they had four billion droids in storage, there is even talk of using them as garrisons, but enough of that, we need to continue this. The shuttles will be arriving in eight minutes, get ready. The estate has been uploaded into your nav pad, ill remain in communications, if you need any further assistance let me know, we have a few bored frigate captains that would love some target practice.”

“Thanks again James.” Cutting the channel Helins looked at Masaki. “We need to go here.” He said while pointing at his nav pad. We need to be there in eight minutes, can you do it?”

I looked over at the nav-pad, looking at the two flashing dots, calculating distance, time and speed required, then smirked. "Sure can. Hold on to your butt, Captain!"

I floored the throttle again, and took a sharp turn left. I dove lower, weaving between two large air trucks and narrowly missing a collision with a flying hotel. I drove aside and then under the hotel, getting deeper as I went. Passing through another tunnel, I waved away flocks of small hawk-bats and zoomed a side-loop over a large trashmasher. Then I turned right and exited again into open space, a small industrial area. Choking fumes were prevalent, but I quickly passed it and headed through another tunnel, this time to take us directly to the lowest levels, where the crime estate resides. I zoomed over unsavory places of criminal activity and then reached the estate itself.

"7 minutes, 20 seconds." I smirked again.

Alyssa nodded slowly as she followed. "I do. And I know you're going to tell me to release that anger and put aside that foolish goal. Allmost exactly what the Sith on Kashyyk taught me. Focus on the true enemy. If your vendetta will allow them strength, let vengence grow cold for the time being."

---------

In the crime lord's palace, the Sith was floating in a bacta tank, placed their by the medical droids, gaurded by three thugs.

The zabrack criminal seemed to have no idea what the hell to do with Aurorus, but he had allready stashed away one of the plasma swords, as a souvenier...

Gaurds about the place yelled and bellowed at the site of an officer and a Jedi.

--------

Lowbacca would find himself in a wasteland. There were dead bodies strewn throughout the place and it appeared that the underground facility had suffered massive damage from explosions. Seems the Sith didn't plan to return here again.

Allready the bodies were being feasted upon by the braver wildlife. The area still stank of teh Dark Side and it made most of the predators and all teh prey nervous.

"You are already learning, my dear." Master Rydo said. "Your anger is not conductive in a duel, because you will make more mistakes than you can afford."

"Looks like we're here." I said. "Now where are those droids?"

Master Lowbacca combed through the area with the other Wookiees. They didn't find much, just a few useless artifacts. The Jedi Master soon concluded that at least the Sith are off the planet, but they will still need to be hunted down and defeated.

Alyssa hmmed."Anger is useful in a duel. To a point." She follows her to where ever they were going and looks about, then back to the Jedi. "I am Alyssa Organa, rank of Apprentice, though I just earned that title. I have training on swords and lightsabers, but I do not have my own, as yet."

----------

The droids were in the heavily gaurded medical facility, with thugs and gaurds milling about, carrying auto-blasters, vibroblades, bowcasters and several other nasty things. They didn't appear to like the two being here, but considering one was Jedi, one was military, it did not bode well to fire first. And probably not well to fire second either...

Master Rydo seemed to think on that. "Then at least we know where you are."

They stopped in front of a spare dorm room. "Right now, this room is unused, so you should have no problems with using it. Here's the key."

She unlocked the door, and stepped inside. A dorm holds two people in a room larger than an average college dorm. There's even a refresher with a small shower stall. "There's some clothes in the closet and the dresser. Pick the ones that are closest to your size. I'll expect you in the training rooms in an hour, but for now, you can use the cafeteria or meet other students. Till then..."

Master Rydo left the key on the table in front of the door, and left the room. She headed down the hall to the Council chambers, where Armas and Alex were just about leaving. "Armas. She can be trained, it's just the anger that we'll have to work with. Shouldn't be too much of a problem."

"Very well." Master Elendil nodded. "So there would be no danger from her?"

"Nothing to worry about." Master Rydo said. "Of course, there's the problem of her being Sith, but it is likely that they have abandoned her to her own devices. She'd be a fool to go back, as she have said constantly."

"Very well, I'll put her on the student roster and give her a schedule." Master Elendil said. "After that, Alex and I will be leaving the Academy for a while. I trust you and Master Regalo can hold down the fort?"

"I wouldn't be on the Council if I couldn't do that." She smiled.

"Expected no less." Alex smiled back. "We'll be off now. May the Force be with you."

"And with you." She bowed. "Be careful."

Nodding, the two Masters headed down to the hangar bay, and a good-natured argument broke out over who's shuttle should they take. Alex pointed out the stealth features of his ship, which finally won over Armas. They headed into the shuttle and soon left the hangar after clearance.

Meanwhile Master Konas stared up at the sky, as the sun began to rise over Coruscant.
