My map isn't necessarily crap. But I want to make it better. Are there any tools beside MS Paint or my own drawing ability that are free, but have detailed yet easy to use tools?

OOC: Free. Um. Free is somewhat difficult; I use Photoshop, but that's most decidedly unfree. Probably you can find something better than MS Paint, but I wouldn't know where to look.
However ... I could have a go at doing something for you, if you'd like.

Gimp is free. There's a windows version, too. it's quite similar to photoshop.

I've tried to download gimp, but it's so confusing which file I should get, which not to, etc.
Could anyone get me the link to THE GIMP? Nothing else.
