The Earth Alliance

"All For One; Don't Test It"

*Please read all before deciding. I know it's lengthy, but there's important info in their that might convince you to join*

The Earth Alliance is a loose military alliance for nations based on earth, but have branched into near or far space exploration.

Proposed Purpose:

Designed to be a loose military orginization like Real Life NATO.

Designed to promote peace between member nations.

Designed to assist member nations in times of conflict, mostly in space, but also on earth.

Designed to quell rebellions between the parent government and its colonies in space.

Proposed Alliance Structure:

EA Congress: Decides most of, if not all of the decisions made in the Alliance. All members are on the Congress.

Council: Appointed members that oversee specific aspects of the Alliance. They are not mebmers on Congress, but they vote unanimously on the decisions to be brought up to the Congress, and the Concil itself gets as many votes as members in the final tally of the Congress. Appointed by the Founder and/or the Chancellor.

Chancellor: Speaks on behalf of the Alliance, and signs treties on behalf of the Alliance (with approval). Elected by Congress when the Founder calls for it, or the Congress has a unanimous call for a new chancellor.

Founder: Exists as a figurehead. Has the power of the executive override. Cannot make decisions without Congressional permission, however, except to resolve disputes within the Alliance. Is a member of Congress, but gets two votes instead of one.

The Council

-Essential-

"State": Advises the Chancellor, Founder, and Congress on diplomacy, and serves as a conductor of alliances.
"War": Advises the Chancellor, Founder, and Congress on war. Serves as Commander in Chief (With Founder's permission) during conflicts, or should an Alliance Military be formed.

-Unessential-

"Treasury": Serves as advisor on dealing with finances, should an Alliance treasury be established.
"Intelligence": Oversees Alliance itelligence services, should one they be established.
"Justice": Should a High Court be established, this member would over see it.

Joining Requirements:

Member nations seeking admitance must be semi-active in the forums.

During times of conflict, member nations hold the option to change their prefix to "The Earth Alliance Federation of..." to distinguish member nations easily. Members can also choose to display this in peace time as well, like the Founder. This is completly optional, but kind of suggested. Do as you feel.

Nations seeking entry must be earth based, and have branched into space, whether near earth, or further.

If you wish to join, please post hear, and go to the Earth Alliance forum (Link below) and register, your account will be pending after you submit it. Please give it a day or two. If you have questions, you may also go to the site, and post them under the "Questions and Answers" forum.

no. I got a great set up, but no one to join.

Harsh. I don't do space and very little else really. I'm happy as a dead weight in the way of other people.

You know what, go ahead an join anyway. Apparently, there aren't a lot of older nations interested. I'm doing away with that requirement. In enough time, people will become 500. Don't worry about space, we'll move ya into it, I'm green in that frontier anyway.

The ZMI real time Earth data sphere received the information upon this “Earth alliance” analysed it, flagged it as not even worth human attention and slid it into permanent hard storage somewhere deep below the logic stack filled catacombs of Megacity Two on Luna.

In the name of the President of the Republic of Limore, the Government we represent would like to join the Earth Alliance in order to guarantee Limore constitutional stability and national integrity. Would EA help the constitutional government in case that internal factors threaten its regime?

Of course, the military resources of Limore would be available to the rest of EA members to defend their sovereignity in front of eventual enemies.

Our Government would be pleased to know the requirements each candidate should verify before joining EA. There is no need to say that every Limore information EA members ask for will be immediately sent.
