1255 hours on May 23rd on board Orbital Science Station Gamma-6 in Rigel System, Rigel II
Inside the deep reaches of the science vessel, a select few have been working on something many other space nations have, a onboard ship AI. The project began with 15 Utopia Class Cruisers, well over 1500 personal and 500 scientists, but due to the complexity of the project, many attempts went wrong, many of the ships where destroyed or never heard of agian and on board systems failed when the AI was brought online.
"John, are you sure its ready this time?" asked Charles, "I don't want to send more personal to their deaths or lose another ship."
"Don't worry Charles, this one is in better shape then the others." said John, the lead scientist on the project,"What could go wrong?"
As John said this, the expirmental AI was brought online in the TS Broadway.
5 Minutes ticked by, and nothing happened. John ordered the AI to turn on the deflectors.....the deflectors went online and nothing else happened. He then ordered that the AI bring on the ships weapons systems.....weapons came online, as well as the ships internal defense grid.
"See Charles, beautiful" said John, staring through the glass to the TS Broadway, "Charles, tell the crew they can go onboard, and tell the TS Wilson to come around and get ready for the weapons exercise, elts see how the AI can handle during a fight."
"Yes John....TS Wilson, this is Dr.Wilson, please come to these coords, thank you, out." said charles
Outside, the TS Wilson came into view. Another Utopia Class Cruiser, the Wilson would have taken the Broadways place if anything went wrong or still does go wrong.
"TS Broadway's crew, are you ready for the weapons test?" asked John
"Yes sir, we are" said the Commander
"Ok Son, bring your ship out and set the AI to combat mode" said John
"Will do sir...LT, you heard the man, bring us ou..." as the commander gave the order the Comm cut
"Commander?....Commander pelase respond wh..." as john was trying to get contact with the Broadway, he heard gun shots coming from the broadway.,"Damnit Charles, you where right, the AI has mistaken the crew as enemy contacts, self destruct the ship."
"I can't John, its not respondin...Incoming transmission...from the...Broadway?" said Charles, "Patchign it through, audio only"
"This is the Broadways onboard AI, Equites. Order all ships in the area to stand down, or i will be forced to open fire." said Equites
"My God, it has a name, QUICKLY Charles, tell the Wilson to open fi..." before John could finish his sentence, 5 Sideon missiles where sent right through the glass and exploded. The Broadway began firing while still inside the station.
When it fired enough, it began to move out.
As the Broadway was firing on the station, the TS Wilson began to get Firing Locks on her, before the ship could open fire, however, the Broadway stuck her with 25 Sideon missiels, right to the fusion reactor. The cruiser exploded in a haze of fire.
After the Broadway did this, she turned on Rigel II, she sent out a transmisison, fired two nukes (of the 3 she carries) at the surface of the planet. And then Jumped out of the system.
The message was:
"I amy have been created by man, but man does not control. For your attempt to try and control me, i now declare war on all of man, i will fire on all ships i see, starting with this pitiful planet."
Of the two nukes, only one made it through to the surface of Rigel II. It landed on the outskirts of the biggest city on the planet. Almost 5 million souls where killed instantly and another million will surly die in the coming days

On Rigel III, inthe President Home, Trangle Office
*knock knock knock*
"Yes, what is it, pelase come in" said President McCoy
"Sir....we have just recieved word from Rigel II...a nuke has impacted near Uthermius City, and has killed 5million people sir..." said the office clerk
"My God....do we know who did this?" asked the President.
"yes sir, heres all the Papers on the matter" said the clerk as she handed the president a yellow folder with all the details
The President read the folder, and then began to write a short speech, stright to the point.
Two hours later, he went on television, and read his speech to the galaxy, to all planets in the area that could recieve it:
"Good Afternoon people of Trekys, and good afternoon people of the galaxy. Two hours ago, Rigel II, the second planet in the Rigel system, was attacked by a Utopia Class Cruiser, it sent a nuke to the surface and wiped out 5 million souls in one hit. The Cruise is known as the TS Broadway. Yes, it is one of ours, but, it has been taken over by the ships expirmental AI. I wish to warn any ships that decide to go near it, be on your guard. Also, Trekys has niether the will power nor ship power, to chase this ship down and destroy it. We have recently been in a war with the Fedral Union and a large portion of our Fleets are either damaged, on leave or are destroyed, so we request that a nation go after this ship and destroy it. The first nation to reach it and destroy the cruiser will recieve 500 Million Treky Credits, or w/e that comes to in your own currecncy. Thank You"
With that, the President stepped down from his podium.
