Jitano

It began as nothing more than idle thought from the Emperor. A whim voiced aloud during a session of the court. History has since documented exactly what the Emperor said:
" In the old time, Jitano was alone, isolated and insulated from the world, from politics, and wars not of our own making. Distant and mysterious, could it not be so again? Don't we have the technology to find a new home? some rock in space that we can plant our flag on and say:' This is the planet of Jitano, we dwell here, and will bear no other to do so.'? or is it beyond us? No matter, on to new business, minister Teren, what is the state of our new waste disposal system?..."

But the thought did not die there, it consumed the Emperor, day and night he dwelt upon the solution, and finally he came to a conclusion...

"Admiral, minister, I suppose you're wondering why exactly I've asked you here. I know that you admiral, were at the court on the july 19 session," Taria paused to allow the supreme commander of all Jitanese forces, Grand Admiral Tyler Kenash, to respond, the aged battlemaster gave a slight nod "Yes, and you Minister, were absent, unless I'm mistaken?" he asked, glancing quizzically at the smocked scientist
"Yes, your imperial Majesty, I was absent." replied Darryl Navol, with the typical impatience of a scientist eager to return to his laboratory
"Patience is a virtue, minister. I have asked you both here to discuss the feasability of my idea, in other words, what would it take to move all of Jitano's earth bound resources, the cities, the people, everything, to another planet." he said as if it were the simplest of tasks to perform
"An act of God." Navol said, to the ominous sound of Kenash clearing his throat, and looking pointedly at the scientist " I apologize for the impropriety my lord, but it would be impossible, to move everything, not to mention finding a suitable planet, it would take all the resources of the fleet, and more, even if we had the numbers, we don't have the knowledge, to pull a city up from the ground, I'm sorry sir, but it's not possible." He sank back in to his chair, sighing heavily. Most people knew it wasn't wise to defy the Emperor.
"I see, well then minister, I suggest you concentrate all of your considerable resources to finding a way to do it. Thank you gentlemen, that will be all for today."
