DemonLordEnigma

She kept her eyes closed, waiting. She knew the orbital platforms were out there, gleaming coldly in the dark of space while orbitting the blue and green world below. She also knew the other ships, artificial constructs of two races bent on savaging this tiny planet for its secrets, were waiting on her orders. They awaited the holy words from her lips that would send their metal beasts of alien legendry violently hurling into the virgin planet's atmosphere, where they would plunder it of its resources and build cities covering kilometers on the as-yet untouched land.
And yet, she waited. She waited with an inner calm, knowing the right moment to open her eyes would come soon. And, feeling that particular pricking of her neck that was her instinct whispering into her ear, her eyelids slowly fluttered open to reveal her ice-cold pupils to the sight before her. And, with first shy rays of it peaking around the corner before it burst blindingly into view, she got to witness another sunup from space. That fiery burst of light always warmed her heart, as it was one of the first signs the new day had come and would be a glorious day.
But, then, she looked down and came back to the job she was sent here to do. She was Admiral Zartaya, commander of the DemonLordEnigma forces sent to secure the surface of a planet their engineers had worked so hard to secure the orbit of. Sitting in front of her, its lights and dials feeding her the information she needed to safely guide the ship to any point it could land at. The cold demiplastics and metals of the controls always made her skin feel as though it were trying to reject the materials, as they were not of the natural shape they had been dug out of the ground. It was that internal horror at the unnatural that made her such a good pilot, as she always had the lightest touch on the controls and knew the least amount of force necessary to get it to do what she wanted.
Attached to her left armrest, ignored up until this moment, was a simple set of three buttons and a speaker opening. All she had to do was push a button and she could easily send communications, ordering the ship to choose individuals with ease or even all ships within range. While simple to operate, the system showed the complexity of how far technology had advanced in so short of a time, as the previous generation required actually typing the message. These days, much was advancing and the Empire was leaving behind the old ways to become a new, more unified people who could present a much larger threat to those who dared attack them.
As these and many other thoughts vanished, she looked at the button and sighed. Giving one last look of apology to the planet, her traitorous finger forced the communication signall open and her voice, normally sweet to her ears, ordered all ships be selected. Then, pausing again, she finally said the words she had been dreading this entire time.
"Attention DLE and Serpantol fleets. The planet is herebye open for exploration. Primary efforts will be concentrated on the northern continent of the western hemisphere. It is there where the explorers first found the ruins. And I ask that ships intended for attacking only stay on the planet long enough to drop off any passengers they have. This way, any attacks on this planet will have full military forces in orbit and ready."
OOC: Next post will contain fleet info for both nations involved. If you wish to join in, TG me.
