The First annual Open Invitation Interstellar Golf tournament on the sunny, warm, and pristine arid beaches of the Holy Empire of Dhulus will host a professional competition for any country that wishes to play. The event will be held over the next couple weeks at the Laura Gil Coastal Estate courtesy of the Empress, Laura Gil, with cooperation and funding from the Dhulus Tourism department. Amenaties are: free lodging at the 5 star hotel with full service, cash prizes of great magnitude, and an assortment of acclaim to the winner. Because this is the first competition hosted by The Holy Empire of Dhulus, only one round will be played.

The rules are simple, send a notice of your Golf Pro's name, the Country Title as you wish it to appear, and what Focus he/she has. The Focus choices, so you have some say about the results are as follows:
1- Master Driver
2- Lord of Irons
3- Marksman Putter
1st place prize is 20,000,000 Ein, which is worth $26,000,000 after converting to the standard credit. And a gold putter which will guarantee you entrance to the next tourney.

2nd Prize is 5,000,000 Ein and a silver putter which will grant you entrance to the next tournament.

3rd prize is 1,000,000 Ein and a bronze putter which will also grant you access to the next tournament.

4th and 5th place winners will be gifted 100,000 Ein and also be granted access to the next tournament.

As an additional reward, any player that gets a “hole in one” will win 1,000,000 Ein on the spot.

As each player puts there hat into the ring, a leader board will appear so you can track the progress. Each time the board changes a brief highlight of the round will be posted. You are free to attack the masses of spectators, and also sign advertising contracts with whoever you wish to while you are here. The limit for entrants will be 25, if there are that many (Which would be nice), and no more then one per country. After the completion of the event, you are free to ask for a copy of the numbers from the event from me. Though the code I wrote will be a secret to protect the game for the second annual event.

The course is a difficult Par 75 18 holes:
1st Hole: A long straight 5 Par with a large hill hiding the small green at the top.
2nd Hole: A narrow 4 Par dogleg left with a large hilly green at the end.
3rd Hole: A short straight 3 Par along the ocean with a small green.
4th Hole: Another 3 Par that banks right around a dense palm tree grove.
5th Hole: A valley of a 4 Par with a shallow and wide green.
6th Hole: A long windy 5 Par along the ocean with heavy breezes.
7th Hole: A tough 3 Par with great expanses of bunkers around the hilly green.
8th Hole: A simple 3 Par with only a single ravine between you and the flat green.
9th hole: A fine wide 4 par heading into the sun.
10th Hole: A long dogleg right 5 Par with large sections of encroaching rough.
11th Hole: A hilly 4 Par with little visibility, but a nice wide green.
12th Hole: A 4 Par that comes back through the hilly terrain but with a few water hazards to guard the green.
13th Hole: A long straight 5 Par with a great view of the ocean.
14th Hole: A wide long 5 Par that passes the club house offering the best chance to get a drink while playing.
15th Hole: This ravine of a 3 Par has little fairway, but a nice short shot at a birdie.
16th Hole: A narrow downhill 4 Par that comes out near the beach.
17th Hole: A 5 Par that comes back up on the hill side and into the woods.
18th Hole: A windy 5 Par back to the Clubhouse, the waiting masses, and the unofficial hole, the 19th.

Link Masterwood of Hakopam comes to the first tee. His eyes steady as he's sets his aim to the far distance of the 1st hole. The crowd cheers as the first player takes to the tee, but quiets down when he is handed his #1 Driver. Link takes a practice swing and then sets up his first shot, and the first for the Golf Open. Masterwood swings down on the ball to get the best lift and distance, but his aim is well off. The crowd cheers immediately, but then instantly silences as they see the path of the ball heading for the trees to the left. A horrible hook, a bad omen for this years competition, and more importantly for Masterwood, this will cost Hakopam's champion this hole for certain.

His next shot gets him back onto the fairway and with a good target line of the green for a possible miracle chip. Though Link more steady, hits his 3rd shot, it's a bit short of the green and lands 100 yards from the green at the bottom of the slope. Much more confident now after his probable unease with all the spectators and having the honor of the first shot in the open,, he chips onto the green just inside the fringe 20 feet from the hole for his fourth shot. The crowd cheers at his comeback 9 iron, but things are looking bad if Link Masterwood wants to stay on par.

Baring his putter with determination, Link takes a steady shot, He has to make this long putt to stay on par, or start off with an extra point he will have to make up on the next hole. He reads the green and the ball follows the slope ending up short 3 feet from the hole. A good try for a long putt this difficult, the crowd cheers for his excellent attempt, and Link carries on.

Quickly recovering his pride, Masterwood hits a straight putt at the hole of the first green for his 6th shot. The ball quietly rolls, perfectly and steadily, then plops into the hole. The crowd claps respectably, and Link Masterwood picks up his head and takes for the next hole.

The announcer broadcasting remarks, "That was tough luck on the first shot. If Link Masterwood, a well favored player here, was to get the drive right, he would have seen at least par, if not a birdie. So... who do we have up next? Ah, I see that Joe Hall has taken his position on the 9th hole. Lets see if this master fromThe Kingdom of Stony Stratford has what it takes to bring home the prized gold putter for his country."

Joe Hall from the Kingdom of Stony Stratford takes his position on the 9th hole. The four par is the bane of the putter marksman. Without the distance to make up for short shots on the green or the shortness of the 3 par's to capitalize on their putting skills, this will be a tough start for the Stony Stratford representative. He opens up with his #3 driver, handed to him by his caddie, and takes a brief practice swing to get him relaxed and ready for his first hit of the day. Joe swings down, and the crowd starts cheering as the ball sails off into the distance in a nice straight line into the sun. Then the replies of sighs start coming back in waves to Hall. The ball flew but didn't stay on the fairway. Only going 200 yards it is just on the edge of the fairway, still 200 yards from the green.

Joe Hall smiles wide with disappointment, but waves to the adoring fans as he and his caddie head out for the next shot. On his second shot, the Kingdom of Stony Stratford Pro grabs the 4 Iron from the hands of the caddie and makes quick work with the next swing. A bit too quick, as he realizes too late that there was too much top spin and the ball flies out, landing on the green briefly then cruises past into the water hazard 30 feet away on the other side. The crowd of onlookers cry in disappointment for this dreadful turn of events. Joe hall shows it all too well as he hears the news of where the ball ended up.

Joe heads to the water hazard and drops the ball into the high rough to make his 4th shot for this hole. With his wedge in hand, Hall takes a dutiful swing and the ball flies up into the air. It's high, it looks to roll off to the other side of the green, but the height plops the shot onto the edge of the green and leaves him a 25 foot shot for a bogie.

Hall takes his 5th shot with his best tool his putter. he sets up the long and twisty shot and pushes the ball with the expertise that got him into this competition. The crowd cheers as the ball comes closer and closer to the hole, but he is still hitting a bit too hard and the ball bounces against the cup and stops a foot away. The crowd cries in anguish, and so does Joe Hall.

The Kingdom of Stony Stratford's Pro heads to the ball with a putter in his left hand and taps the ball without even thinking straight into the hole to score a 6.

The announcer comments, "That was tough luck there. It was a bad start that just kept on going. He must have passed a black cat on the way to the tee. And when the ball landed into the water hazard behind the green, I cried... I really did. But he played a fair hole, I know I couldn't have done that well. Lets see who's up next? Ah, there's the master at the long drive... The Holy Empire of Stromm's, Bjorn Felltreeson is on the 5th hole right now setting up his shot. This should be good. 5 Pars are his playground..."

The Holy Empire of Stromm presents its representative Bjorn Felltreeson to the tournament. In a revelry of cheers he takes to his first hole on the 5th. A very strong driver he has come close in the practice rounds at beating the record for unofficial longest drive. Today he will put his skills to the test, with all cameras and spectators watching his every move.

Bjorn strides up confidently to the tee and sets his favorite ball, then takes 3 practice swings to loosen up. He approaches confidently, stalls for only a moment, then swings down with force and grace like a machine that was build for this task. The loud crack of the driver hitting the ball echoes through the silent onlookers followed by the high pitch whistle of the great speed that it had obtained.

A perfect drive, and with such power the ball flies out 290 yards, then rolls another 20 yards before coming to a stop in the fairway. The crowd erupts in a chorus of cheers that can be heard for a mile away, and certainly any where on this course. The other competitors will certainly be worried after hearing that.

Felltreeson smiles and waves with an excited smile as he and his caddie stroll confidently to the ball for his second shot. With a perfect shot like that he can afford to make mistakes, but Bjorn proves them there is a consistency to his game. He takes the 5 iron from the caddie, and practices 3 times with it before approaching the ball. His eyes determined on the hole some 120 yards away, and he swings. Another perfect shot by Bjorn! The ball flies high and true straight to the green. The crowd cheers, and Bjorn also shouts with them as well as his ball hits before the green, then rolls with near laser accuracy towards the flag still blocking the hole. 20, 15, 10, 3 feet away from the hole the ball finally comes to a rest. What a set up. This is the work of a real professional here.

Felltreeson is ecstatic as he leads his equally gleeful caddie to the final shot. An easy straight putt to the hole 3 feet away. Only a major screw up would deny him the birdie on this hole. And that was not about to come today. Bjorn takes to the green, steadies and sets his position. The beads of sweat from the heat were showing their signs on him as he wipes his face clean with a towel the caddie keeps handy. he gently pulls back and taps the ball. A masterful shot, the ball runs it course true, and drops in the hole with a solid thunk. Bjorn takes the early lead with 1 under.

Announcer responds, "That was one performance that I could watch over and over again. That kind of perfection doesn't show itself much, except these competitions. Bjorn Felltreeson of the Holy Empire of Stromm certainly is in rare form today. While I watch the replay of this for the next hour, we turn camera coverage to Jack O'Connell from the Community of Cascadistan who has just stepped on the tee of the 1st hole, directly following Link Masterwood."

Jack O'Connell pulls the #1 Driver from the caddie and heads confidently to the first tee, and starts his path to a well favored win by the bookies calculations. But then again they also favored Frellio Durksen in the last competition who actually failed to even make it through the entire course, so we will see how good their research is in this. The Community of Cascadistan's Pro has well earned the position here in this competition, and he no one left to beat in this game but himself.

O'Connell skips over the practice swing and heads straight for the ball placed on the tee by his caddie. He pulls back and lets a fiery swing blast the ball out into the fairway. But it hooks at the last moment. The wind must have caught that one! Ah tough luck for Jack as the ball heads 190 yards into the trees and the rough that spectators are rushing out of the way of.. A bad show, but Jack's strength is in the irons, he can easily make a come back from this.

The Cascadistan's Pro, Jack O'Connell strides disappointedly to set up his next shot. Taking no chances with the palms and brush that he landed himself in, he takes a power shot and blasts the ball back onto the fairway 20 yards.

His third is a little more promising as Jack is handed the 2 iron by the caddie standing nearby. Jack takes time and sets a few practice swings, then prepares for another go at the 1st hole. He bears down and launches the ball towards the green. It flies high and straight, but it was too far for most anyone, and it lands 50 feet from the green just off the fairway.

O'Connell makes his way to the 4th shot and picks the Power wedge to drop to back spin the ball into a nice location near the hole. He strides confidently with the crowd cheering him onward and takes his swing. A nice attack, and a perfect sense of tactics, but again his failing confidence lands his ball short. 20 Yards from the actual hole on the fringe! O'Connell is definitely having a hard time getting loosened up for this competition.

Jack grabs the putter out of the hands of the solemn caddie and heads to the green with desire in his eyes that can be seen a mile away by even the most inept of us. He's got passion now, let's see if this can translate to a come back from a almost guaranteed bogie! He takes his time, he sets up his line of attack, and he gets ready to push the ball into the far distant hole. A tough shot for even the best short gamers here. The club swings back, and Jack knocks the ball to the hole with a eerie tink of metal on golf ball. It rolls, he planed the slope right, he seems to have the speed right, but it's too hard! The ball rolls and stops 2 feet beyond the hole!

O'Connell lets down his shoulders and calmly walks over to the ball, and without much preparation, he taps the ball in for a final score of 6. The crowd cheers for him as he heads off the green to claim the next hole as his.

The announcer takes over the audio and comments, "That was tough luck for him on that hole. Seems that the 1st is causing a lot of mischief with the players. You think that any of them will be able to make par on that monster of a distance? We will find out soon enough. Jack O'Connell was certainly having a bad run with the 5 par. He should have been able to get the green from the 3rd shot, but the problems with the drive seem to throw his game off too much. We'll have to see how he does on the #2 4 par. But until he gets there lets take a look at the newest contender from the reaches of the country of The Mad Scientist Dictatorship of Robotopolis. He boosts and has certainly proven his ability at driving by winning the unofficial record distance in the practice rounds with a 400 yard drive... But his lack of accuracy in the short game keeps him a distance away from having the eyes of the bookies on him winning. Here now is Bass stepping onto the 9th hole."

Bass from the Mad Scientist Dictatorship of Robotopolis takes to the 9th hole and looks over the terrain with little emotion. His skills in the long drive are unprecedented, but his control is the only thing stopping him from being the best of the field. He reaches to his automated electronic caddie that floats besides him the calls out for his #1. The wood flies into the air and arc over into his awaiting hand. He swings fiercely at the air then prods over to the tee for his first shot of the day. I doubt that little but an armed contingent of muggers could distract him at this point. he steps up, plants his feet firmly and swings with all of his might. The ball flies out with a cry that dropping bombs normally yield. And you would be uncertain as to if the ball could even survive that kind of impact. But it did, and the ball flies out straight towards the fairway, and bounces several times before finally implanting itself into a deep bunker on the hill side. The crowd of cheering citizens from Robotopolis chant out loud "Bass! Bass! Bass!" as the ball flew out, but their cheers quickly turned to silence when they saw where it landed after traveling 330 yards.

Bass sees little concern over the predicament as he only has to pound the ball out of the sand to get it near the awaiting hole some 40 yards away. He calls out his Sand Wedge as he hefts himself across the valley and approaches the bunker. His eyes set on the prize, he leans back and without a practice swing, slices into the sand and delivers the ball from it's newfound home up and over the fringe. It traveled high and fast. The back spin would normally slow the ball from bounding across the green, but Bass was still poor at control and the ball hit the green once before ending up in the rough on the other side of the green, now 40 yards from the hole.

Bass called out for his power wedge and it flew into his hands as his stepped around the green to get to his next shot. This time taking a moment to calculate the terrain he arched his back to stretch then set up his swing. More controlled and with less strength then before, Bass swung the Power Wedge like a machine and popped the ball at the green. It was a bit off course and hit the green running as landed first 5 feet before the hole, then stopping 20 feet from the hole. Tough luck again, and his power was something that seemed to be getting in his way. The crowd of onlookers cheered as the ball stayed on the green and they all began chanting for Bass as he headed to take 4th shot, and if he was lucky, land a par for the 9th hole.

The contender from the Mad Scientist Dictatorship of Robotopolis was a rare breed of golfer and he was going to leave a mark on this game whether he won or lost. Bass quietly stepped up to his ball and the putter was sent to him upon command. He kneeled down to get a good look at this 20 foot difficult putt that he was having to make. he studied then stretched once more before he would take his 4h shot. He pulled back slowly then perfectly hit the ball towards the hole. The control was good, the direction good, but as it came closer and closer to finally being sunk, the slight hill of the green took command and the ball rolled past the hole 1 foot and down 6 inches. The crowd cheered for his almost masterful attempt. Bass cheered too as putting was not his strong suit.

Bass finally walked up to the ball and tapped it in to score a bogie. The cheers carried him happily onwards as he headed to follow Joe Hall of Stony Stratford.

The announcer breaks in and comments, "Well that was some showing from Bass. Those drives of his are like cannons coming out of a battleship. If the Dhulusian Army ever needs heavy artillery, this Pro from Robotopolis will surely be the one to teach them. It was a bad break for him that he landed in the bunker near the hole. If he had managed to get it in either the rough or the fairway, I think that that contender would be remarking on his par instead of looking to make up for the negative territory on the next hole. As we cut away from Bass, we now return to Hakopam's Link Masterwood who has signaled that he is ready to start his run on the 2nd hole."

The next set of play heats up as the scores get all too close for anyone to be able to determine what the outcome may be.

Bass takes on the 10th Hole with an eagle and gets in line for first place.

Bjorn holds his own on the 6th with par, and stays with his rank at #1.

Link manages to make up for the bogie from the 1st hole and gets himself to Par status.

Jack as well, taking notes from Hakopam it seems, also scores a birdie on the 2nd hole to take a position in line at 3rd place.

Joe Hall shows the most of his skills, as he makes up for the double bogie by scoring an eagle on the 10th hole.

(Vacation is over. Back to the game. Lets see what brought about the turn of events to flip the scores on their heads!)

Hakopam's Link Masterwood seems to finally hit his stride as he takes to the 4th hole. A successful birdie on the second and a par on the 3rd, have left him in position to take the lead if he manages to score right . Still one hole is not going to change that and we all know that.

As Link confidently strides to the tee on the short three par, and Links favorite class of challenge he faces quite a challenge to get this one. The man pulls back and starts for his practice swing, then takes a tenacious grip of the 5 iron before attempting his 200 yard attack. He swings back, the crowd quiets, he looks at the ball and wishes it good bye as he hammers home with a great swing. The ball flies high and true, catching the wind just right the ball heads for the green. it hits the fringe and starts for the center. This is looking like a great approach for him. It rolls and finally comes to a stop 5 feet away from the hole.

The crowd cheers and so does Link as he sees has a hand in getting another point shaved off his score. This will certainly get him into position, and has nothing but complimented his careful plan of steady and safe. Masterwood waves to the crowd and heads with all haste for an easy putt to tuck another birdie in his card. What a way to show how it's done.

Link finally reaches the green, and the murmurs of choking can be heard from some of the opposition betters. The bookies may not have been eyeing Masterwood when he started, but they are sure changing their plans after these last few holes. Link doesn't take a practice swing, but studies the simple slope for a moment then aims his putt. he gently pulls back and taps the ball to it's next home. It's roiling, rolling, rolling... and it drops into the cup barely to gain a Birdie for the Hakopam Nation, and a step closer to the win of the tournament.

The announcer talks over the dim of the cheering crowds, "Would you look at that. He was starting off poor, but he has certainly come around to make his presence known. I don't know about you, but I think that he has got to be feeling the pressure to reach the top. He's only a stroke behind, but the next hole is certainly going to test his stamina. Lets turn our attention to Joe Hall. He just stepped onto the 12th Hole and looking for some serious catch-up for the huge loss he took on the 11th 4 par. Triple bogies are tough on the nerves and he has got to be feeling that he ate the wrong breakfast this morning."

Joe hall waves to all the people that are watching him play. He made great strides on the 10th hole, but lost them and more when he got caught in the water on the 11th. His temper got the best of him then, and he is surely had a moment of peace to cool down. Lets see how he fairs on this hole. A bit of bad luck may be all it was. The caddie grabs his #1 wood for this hole. It's a long par 4, but an easy one if you play it right. He sets up his swing with a few practice stretches then heads to the ball. He looks relaxed again, and this may be his big chance to get the name recognition that he deserves. Joe swings at the ball perfectly but it's a light shot the ball stays on the fairway but it only goes 210 yards. The crowd applauds lightly but they, and Joe, know the truth, he will have to pull out all the stops on the next shot.

Hall, and his now squeamish caddie, take their time getting to the ball and look out on the fairway. A good set up he has. A nice clean shot at the green from just over 200. This would be impossible under normal circumstances, but Joe is not one to back away from a challenge. He is handed his 4 iron and he sets him self up with a few swings before taking at the ball with a forward stance to get some lift and drop the ball on the green. He swings. The crowd cheers feverishly. This is definitely one of his finer points. The ball flies true and heads right after the green. It hits the green! But there is too much power behind it and it bounces right off again and into the sand trap behind! Tough luck on that one, Joe is pleased though he's only got to make a good chip and he can salvage par off this hole and head on with a bit more pride.

As Joe and his caddie take the field he wades into the dry and dusty sand and breaks out his power wedge. He means business, and the hole is only 20 feet away from where he is striking from. He lines up his shot rolls his shoulders and takes a harsh swing at the ball. It's up! It's going to get out of there! The crowd sighs in disbelief, as the ball makes it to the fringe of the green now 15 feet from the hole. Joe is looking rather flustered, but he waves and smiles in appreciation for the attention from the fans.

Now for his 4th stroke on the 12th hole. He has to make a heavy sloped putt in order to get par. And even his skills will be tested on this one. he lines up the shot and aims well into the ridge. He takes a few practice swings then leans forward for the final test of his meddle. The swing is strong, his aim is good. The ball rolls 10, 12, 14 feet! but the climb is not nearly as steep as he expected. but it's a good shot regardless who you are, and the crowd cheers for a great shot. Joe Hall takes it in stride and with great appreciation heads to make the final tap in to score a 5, and his bogie.

The announcer takes over the audio and starts commenting, "Would you look at that. He had certainly gotten back some of his game. If you looked at that putt alone you would think that he was one of the greatest, but his turns on the fairway are hurting today. I think he has to get something out of his head before he will be able to be a contender in this match. He's well into last place and it will be very hard without some great stroke of luck to get back into the match. Lets see if he can pull it off. But fore now we head to Bjorn Felltreeson on the 8th hole."

The Holy Empire of Stromm claps loudly as their champion Bjorn Felltreeson takes to the 7th hole. It's a tough 3 par, but Bjorn is known to be quite the steady as stone pro that he has earned over the years. Still at 1 under par after the last par, he is ready to deliver and get himself to number one. He makes his way to the tee and practices a couple times with his 3 iron before setting into position for his approach. Bjorn pulls back and lets swing with a fierce attack and the ball is into the clear blue sky with no problems. It flies, but catches one of the coastal breezes and is held back from making the green! It stops 10 yards at the bottom of an incline leading to the green. With a bit of dismay, Felltreeson hands his club back to the caddie and starts his walk to the next shot.

As he looks over his lay, he waves friendly to his manager and financier who is watching over him with great interest. Catching his purpose again, Bjorn makes a few practice swings with his power wedge and approaches for a hopefully good chip onto the green. he swings down and gets a good bit of a divot out of the grass before he finishes his swing. The ball takes off a good high trajectory, but the power is a bit too much as the ball hits the green and bounces a couple times before stopping 20 feet from the hole. The crowd reacts sympathetically and Felltreeson shrugs off the bad luck like a professional and heads to attempt a tough putt.

For his 3rd shot, Bjorn is looking at a rolling down hill slope. Tough for even the best of them, but his steady calm is a saving grace in times like these. He watches over the lay of the land and stands up again to take aim. He loosens up with his putter and steps forward to finally hit the ball, and hopefully sink it for par. Bjorn pulls back and taps the ball. It rolls erratically from the terrain, 5 feet, 10 feet, 15 feet, no it's pulling to the left from the grade and to top it off the shot is too short. A bit of frustration can barely be seen in his eyes as he strides forward and attempts to save himself with a bogie shot.

The final shot is going to be close. Even though he's 7 feet away, and most professionals can make this 9 out of 10 times, there is always that chance that the pressure will distract him and put him even further back. The Pro from Stromm takes his time to line up his shot. He pulls back and pushes the ball with great determination towards the hole. It rolls true and arc along with the grade towards the hole. Closer, closer, it comes to the lip, slowing down, it finally drops calmly into the hole. Bjorn throws up his hands in celebration for the save and heads for the next hole.

The announcer takes to the mic, "Would you look at that. Bjorn had me going for a little that he was going to get in some serious trouble. But it looks like he pulled through to get the bogie. A tough bit of shooting to start out with, but he is a well respected person. I am almost certain that he'll make up for it on the next hole. We now turn to Jack O'Connell from Cascadistan who has taken the 4th hole."

Jack O'Connell is holding his own against Hakopam's Pro, But Link just scored a Birdie to put him one stroke ahead of Jack. This is going to be a challenge for him to keep pace now. As if the pressure was not enough from the throngs of fans watching his progress, he has direct competition watching over his shots from just outside the green. Feeling confident from his match par on the 3rd, O'Connell takes to the tee with confidence to match his strokes with gusto. He takes the 6 iron from the hands of his caddie. Going a bit higher for the stronger swing of his. He takes a few practice swings and hammers down on the ball. The lift is perfect and his aim is top notch. The wind from the coast is a bit of a bother but not enough to keep his sweet shot from the green. It bounces twice then stops near the fringe 14 feet away from the hole. The crowd cheers on his terrific shot, and Jack holds out his club in triumph as he walks towards the green with caddie in tow.

Not as precise as Link's shot was, but birdies don't care how you got there, just how quick. He has a long shot up hill to get at the hole, but Jack is known for coming in when the pressure's on. Now was his chance to shine for his sponsors, and the family and friends that he has back home and even right here as a few people seem over zealous in his presence. he takes the putter out and levels the grade with the club to get his focus. A had shot, but he can do it. Jack straightens up and approaches his stance. he pulls back and gives a tough punch to the ball. The ball clinks with energy and heads to it's home. The roll looks a little hot and the crowd looks on with a gasp from all. It comes closer and closer, but it looks like he put too much energy into the shot, and it rolls past by 3 feet. The crowd groans in sympathy and so does Jack.

Jack begrudgingly walks to his final shot. There are few people that could miss such a short shot, and O'Connell is not one of them. He takes his time and makes sure that he doesn't rush this one. After a quick study, he pushes gently on the ball and it rolls on into the cup. Par is never something to be ashamed of and Jack waves to everyone with a brad smile and a cheerful toss of his fist into the air with club still in hand. The crowd loves him in this and they all applaud emphatically as he takes to the next hole.

The announcer chimes in, "Well, Masterwood may have a slight lead on his direct competitor, Jack O'Connell from Cascadistan, but Jack is certainly not going to let go because of one hole. I can't wait to see what will happen when the pace starts picking up. But until then, the biggest surprise has been Bass from Robotopolis. His erratic acts are keeping the bookies guessing, and ever the fans are starting to come out more and more to see his legendary drives. This should be good. He just stepped onto the 11th hole."

Bass is a power to be reckoned with today. His great strength and long drive are keeping the competition in awe. Though he is sure to slip once or twice during the tournament, we are certain that the top 3 has a reservation for him, if he keeps playing this way. The last hole was a fine eagle, and even keeping Par would be a great step in assuring his dominance. Bass calls for his #1 driver as he approaches the 11th hole. The caddie bot launches the club in his vicinity, and Bass grabs the club like a toy and winds up for a clean line of approach to the 360 yard 4 par. He pulls back without making an attempt at a practice swing and bears down on the ball with great determination. The crack of the club on the ball echoes throughout the fairway and it flies straight and true towards the green. The crowd erupts in joyous praise and cheers as the ball flies, it hits the green with a muffled thud then rolls off again to stop 10 yards past the green. The Robotopolis Pro throws the club up into the air in triumph, and the caddie bot quickly launches itself into position to catch it before it hits the ground. Bass shouts with self congratulations and passes high-fives to people in the background watching his performance.

As Bass comfortably Takes his time getting to the position of his next stroke. It will be difficult to get a Eagle on this 4 Par, but even a birdie is well easy to make with his less then perfect aim in the short game. Bass takes a few practice stroke to calm down his over zealousness and steps up to the ball with his power wedge. The rough he is in is pretty easy, and the run to the hole is a calm downhill. He pulls back and with only a little effort taps at the ball. It jumps up into the air, and heads for the hole. 10 feet, 5 feet 2 feet, 1 foot. the ball edges closer and closer. It has a bit of speed on it, but this is not always a death knell. The ball moves in slowly and finally hits the cup, bounces up a short distance then drops in the hole with a rattle. The crowd cheers on the second Eagle for Bass. Bass celebrates with them as well and launches his wedge into the air in celebration. He then heads out for the 12th hole and his next attempt at distancing himself from the rest of the group.

The announcer breaks in, "Would you look at that hole!!! Not 1, but 2 Eagles in a row!!! That is pure skill and I doubt anyone will be able to catch up to him at this point. Bass has proven that he is a master at this game, and I dare say that he will certainly be looking at taking home the golden putter at this rate. I am going to replay this hole a few more times. I can never get enough of his drives. And in the mean time, lets turn to Hakopam's Pro Link Masterwood on the 5th hole."

Link Masterwood with a progressively better game has the look of making the top three with his current skills. He takes the 5th Hole with a bit of concern though. He's had 3 good holes, and he is not known for his streaks in gaming. He takes hold of the #3 driver handed to him by the caddie and practices a few times to shrug off the anticipation. The crowd silences as he approaches the ball and he pulls back with his club. After a momentary pause, Link swings down and bears all on the ball. It's a solid hit and it flies outwards towards the awaiting fairway. I has great air time, but lacks the power that the others have in driving. The ball lands a mere 250 yards away near the left edge of the fairway. The crowd applauds politely to him and Masterwood hands his club back to the caddie.

As Link comes upon his second shot, he takes the 3 Iron from the caddie and looks to be approaching from a aggressive attitude. This is a heavy hitter for a 200 yard green shot. Most would not chance it and safely land with a 6 iron just before the green for a safe chip. But Link is looking to take a risk to stay in the top. He practices a few times then stands in position to hit his shot. He swings with great grace and skill and the ball ting rings calmly. The ball stays low on the ground and heads straight for the green. It's looking good. It hits short and starts bouncing towards the hole. It hits the fringe and rolls onto the green! What a shot for Hakopam's own Pro. The crowd cheers greatly at the approach and strike of this pro. Link also feels a little vindicated as he heads to the ball now 20 feet from the hole on the green.

Link is looking a bit happy as he heads to make his putt. Even he should be able to make a par, but if he's lucky, he will have a birdie out of this hole. He takes time to measure the lay of the grass and the slope that he faces. After a minute of study Masterwood takes to position and aims his shot. He swings with a bit of measure and the ball heads on towards the awaiting cup. The ball rolls closer and closer... It's looking good, but as it gets closer the slope is too much and the ball rolls away and down, stopping 4 feet from the cup. The crowd shows it disappointment verbally, but Hakopam is not disappointed, since that was a tough shot.

Link moves over to make his last, and carefully planed 4th stroke on this 4 par. he swings gently adding a bit more into the slope, and the ball rolls gently towards the cup and drops inside with a rattle. Link smiles wide for the cameras, and he takes to the next hole.

The announcer interrupts, "Well I have to say, as steady a game people have. Hakopam has to be the model for this tournament. Most have been up and down a bit too erratic, but he has remained steady and will probably be a go shoe in for the top 3. As we take a look on the course we now see that Joe Hall from Stoney Stratford is taking the 13th hole. Lets tune in to get a glimpse of the driver master."

Joe Hall has been getting hammered the past two holes. He has run into some tough luck so far, but that does not put him out of the running. It only takes a few bad shots from the current leaders to place him back in the running. Not to mention that if he manages to pull a few stops out, he will bring himself back into negative numbers. As Joe approaches the tee on the 13th hole, you can easily see his concern and self doubt from here. But that has never stopped him before. He takes a few extra practice swings for good measure then approaches the ball already teed up for him. He swings back with the #1 and puts all his weight into the shot. A resounding crack can be heard as the ball sails away with a fine whistle into the fairway. Joe doesn't watch the shot, but he can tell from the crowd that they area all pleased with his work. They cheer as the ball lands directly in the center of the fairway 260 yards out, and a far cry closer to the hole then Joe probably expected. He turns to see where it lands and a bit of relief can be seen in his eyes. He has gotten off to a good start.

Stoney Stratford's Pro, Joe Hall, heads out to make his next shot. A long iron will get him near the green and with any luck a simple chip will put him in range for a final putt for a birdie. He takes out his #3 wood to get that extra distance from the drive and practices a few time. The crowd goes silent and Joe Hall steps up to the ball. He is quite determined to make this one count. He swings down and the ball heads out with great noise. Agh! The ball is too low! his fairway shot is not going to go as far as anyone expected. It's a fast paced worm burner and the ball stops rolling 150 yards away, much too short for any chance at a birdie now. The crowd groans in disappointment and Joe takes it in stride.

Hall heads up to the next shot. A long Iron to the tough green. This will be a pretty good show of his reputation if he can get it on the green from this distance. Joe takes the 6 Iron from the caddie and attempts to shrug off his earlier mistake. As he takes the actual swing the stroke is perfect. The ball ting is a sure sign of hitting the sweet spot. The ball heads out and straight at the green. It's looking like it will hit! It bounces in front of the burm before the green, but it doesn't have enough speed. It stops just on the fringe. A tough break but the lay for his shot could not be better. Joe has a simple chip and a simple putt to get him Par for the 13th hole. Joe smiles with relief and heads for the next shot.

The caddie hands him the power wedge for his 15 yard chip. Joe takes it eagerly and measures up his lay. He aims with a few practice swings then stands next to his 4th attempt. He swings lightly and pops the ball up into the air. It flies a bit to the left, but manages to hit the green and run towards the hole. The crowd cheers as it stops 6 feet from the cup on the left side. Joe looks a bit more cheerful. Looks like his luck is turning around.

Joe takes his putter and heads to make his last shot. A simple 6 foot putt for him will land him a Par for the hole and a start to getting him back to the front. He measures the slope and then takes position for his next and hopefully final shot. He slowly pulls back with the putter and with a measured swing pushes the ball towards the awaiting hole. It rolls true and follows along the slope eventually landing right in the cup with a single pop. Joe looks upon the crowds with joy. He seemed to have gotten the mental problems with his game out of the way.

The Announcer takes the audio signal and start speaking, "Well... I was expecting him to break out of his rut, but doing so with a chip on the green was not what I had envisioned. Good job Joe Hall. I expect that if he keeps this up that the next 5 par that he faces will also bear fruit for him. We now head on over to Bjorn Felltreeson who is Coming to the 9th hole. Joe landed a double bogie on that hole, so I fear that this will be a chance for Bjorn to show Hall how it's done."

Bjorn Felltreeson takes to the 9th hole with a bit of fear. Not one player has yet to even get par on this hole, and there may be a curse on the fairway. But that is superstition, and who knows if it's real, but mind set is everything. And Bjorn has to come up with a good hole to get himself closer to 1st. He takes hold of the #3 from his caddie and heads into position. Seeming not feeling to eager about the hole, Bjorn doesn't practice first and prepares to hit the ball. he swings! It hits clear in the sweet spot. The perfect sound of a solid hit is always a great joy. The ball flies out and into the fairway. The crowd cheers as the stroke lands 310 yards down the fairway. A good start for this hole. Bjorn waves to the fans and heads forward to make his next attempt.

For his second shot, Bjorn seems to plan to take the hole cautiously and grabs his 7 iron to place the ball just short of the green. He takes a few practice swings to shrug off the revelry from the previous hit, then sets himself up for the approach. He swings hard and the perfect ping of a solid hit is heard once more. The ball flies high and true. It hits before the green and bounces several times landing 10 feet from the fringe. The crowd claps and whistles at his masterful shot. A great hit and one of excellent planing, seeing now he has a safe simple chip to get him to the hole and pull off a Par.

Felltreeson, carefully takes his Power wedge from the caddie and briefly has a few words with the man. They both nod together in some sort of agreement and Bjorn heads on to the 3rd shot for this hole. He places his wedge in behind the ball, aims his target, and without a practice swing he digs into the turf. The ball hops up into the air and heads straight for the cup. The crowd audibly holds it's breath in expectation as the ball bounces twice and heads with a bit of speed towards the hole. 10 feet! 5 feet! It's coming closer, closer... The slope pulls the ball towards the hole, and with a noisy rattle the ball drops into the cup! A birdie for Bjorn! The crowd cheers loudly and Felltreeson waves his club to the crowd before handing it back to the caddie. He then walks up to the hole and pulls his ball out to toss it to the crowd for a souvenir.

The announcer breaks in, "What a guy that Pro from Stromm is. Not all players would give out game balls to the crowds watching, and his streak coming through this entire hole was nothing but exceptional. I loved that chip shot for the birdie. Lets see that again..." :: The video replays his shot that lands in the hole:: "I tell you, this is an exciting game to be watching. Let turn now to Jack O'Connell who is now on the 5th hole and looking to get back at Hakopam's Link Masterwood for the previous hole."

Jack O'Connell is now preparing his swing on the 5th hole. He has a bit of pressure now. Not only is he a bit too far from the lead, but he is also just 1 stroke away from keeping pace with Link Masterwood. This pressure is sure to cause him to make a mistake. It happens all the time in these tournaments, and Jack is not immune to this either. He practices his swings with his #1 wood, then walks to the tee to make his first shot. After a few extra moments of gathering concentration, He pulls back and lets loose with his club. The ball is hit well and flies out into the fairway with great distance. It hits, bounces several times, and then comes to rest 250 yards out in the center if the fairway. Jack looks like he has a great weight lifted off his shoulders as he hands his club back to the caddie and heads to make his next shot.

Jack has to make this attack from the fairway count. He has just over 200 yards to make up to get him on the green... But irons are his weapon of choice, and Jack takes the 1 iron from the hands of his caddie and sets up his next stroke. He swings a few time to regain his concentration, then steps up to his ball and readies a swing. He reaches back and lets loose with the club. It hits the ball and also tosses a nice sized divot into the air just after it. The crowd erupts in cheers as the ball flies straight to the green with a fair amount of lift. The wind seems to be helping steer the ball as well as it arcs into position and hits just before the green. Then it bounces back up again and rolls further still. Jack smiles wide and cries out in joy as he hears that the ball stopped 15 feet away from the hole!

O'Connell is ecstatic now. This is turning out to be the break he needed to get his score lower. and now all he has to do is land a putt from 15 feet to score a birdie and place himself even with Link. He has the putter in his hand long before he approaches the green. He stops outside the fringe to take a good long look at what he is going to face. He seems satisfied, and approaches the ball. He takes another few moments to watch the study, then sets up his position. He stands rigid over the ball. Not looking at where he is hitting, but keeping his eye on the ball below he swings back and lets loose the club. The ball is hit with a gentle touch, but certainly one with enough force to get the job done. It arcs along the slope, closer and closer to the cup... 10 feet, 5 feet, 1 foot!!! It then straightens out and falls perfectly into the hole. Jack jumps up with joy and club still in hand. A birdie is what he needed and he got what he wanted. The crowd cheers on the Pro as he heads off the 5th to make way for the next hole.

The announcer breaks in, "Well, I'll be. Two great runs by our players, and you saw it here. Jack is certainly turning out to be the staple in this game, and I dare say that Him and Link are going to have to do all they can to catch up to the current leader Bass from Robotopolis, who seems to have luck on his side today. This is a great competition, and one I wouldn't miss for the world. Lets now see what Bass has up his sleeve for the 13th Hole. He Boogied the last hole, but I bet that that will only be a small hiccup in his performance today."

The Pro from The Mad scientist Dictatorship of Robotopolis has proven to be the most engaging, and exciting player here. He scored 2 Eagles in a row to end up in first place among the contenders. What he lacks in accuracy, he more then makes up for with his distance drives. We now see him take to the 13th hole. A 5 par that is the hallmark of his game. The robot caddie hurls his #1 driver in his direction, and Bass catches it with grim determination. He has a point to regain, and this hole is going to be it. He takes several swings in the air to set his posture, and approaches the ball set for him. He bears down on the grip and swings with great force. The ball cracks with the strike and flies out into the fairway. A great shot! It lands 330 yards out towards the green. The now much larger crowd claps, cheers, and whistles at his drive. Bass looks rather pleased, and he heads to make his next shot.

For his second stroke, Bass calls out for his 4 Iron to get him in position near the green. It's a long 220 yards, but certainly doable for this man. He pulls back again, this time without preparing, and strikes at the ball. it hurls out along the fairway., The crowd erupts again with congratulation. Bass is proving to be the man to be beat at this point. It lands firmly and solidly 20 yards on the other side of the green. A bit too powerful for most pro's tastes, but Bass lives for power, and he seems to constantly over shoot his mark. He has little to fear at this point. Being so close to the green and in the lead, he has everything going for him.

For the Pro from Robotopolis' 3rd shot, he takes the power wedge flung at him by the caddie, catches it in the air, and then sets up his next stroke without a single practice swing. He pulls up, looking to hit with a bit of a softer stroke and lets the club drop to punch it out of the thicker grass and to land it onto the green. The club hits the dirt! It was too low, and the ball only moves a few feet! The crowd is thoroughly upset with this turn of events, and so is Bass. He takes not a single pause and raises up the same club for a second attempt at the shot. This time his aim is better and he hits the ball towards the green. The ball flies high, and it's a good swing, but it's over powered! The ball hits the green and then bounces several times before landing on the fringe on the other side of the green. It finally stops 25 feet away from the cup at the bottom of a undulating slope.

Bass is looking upset as he throws his club towards the caddie who catches it and stores it away, while at the same time sending the putter back at him. He catches this with a bit of anger and storms across the green to get at his ball. Once he reaches his ball, Bass takes several deep breaths trying to calm himself. Frustration is the surest way to destroy any chance at a good game, and he was on the verge of loosing it. Bass relaxes forcibly and sets up his 5th shot. He carefully surveys the green and aims his putter. This time taking several practice swings, he then stands ready and delivers his hit, hoping for a Par. The ball rolls out this time, but the strength of his shot was not there. The ball rolls only a little over half the distance to the cup! The crowd is definitely disappointed and very mournful for this turn of events. As too Bass is looking rather upset.

Bass strides to his next shot, and he aims carefully, but quickly hits the ball again, looking as if he's hoping to get this hole over with. The ball rolls wild from the terrain and eventually stops 1 foot from the hole near the top of the hill the cup is set in. The Pro from Robotopolis seems to have finally cracked. He screams out with rage! Then after a brief moment.. His arms drop limp, and he settles back to his normal self. The fire seems gone, he seems to be entranced in himself. He calmly walks up the the ball, and for his 7th shot, he lightly taps on the ball and it rolls down the hill and right into the cup. Bass doesn't look at the green again as he single mindedly drops his putter and walks to the next hole. Leaving the Robot Caddie to pick up after him.

A somber Announcer breaks in to review the hole, "Wow... I mean... Wow... For a moment I thought that he was going to cause a scene out there, but it seems that he finally got back to his studied self. I've seen him like that once, but wasn't sure what caused, or was gained from it, but I think that this will certainly numb the erratic play he has been showing so far, and he will take a well measured approach to the game from here out. I can't wait to see how he responds to the next hole. I have to say that the Robotopolis Pro is making this a very engaging and fascinating event. Lets hope he keeps the pressure on the lead from here on out."

Following in the footsteps of Bjorn Felltreeson, the Confederacy of Vexilars' Pro Vex the Ribald takes to the 6th hole after scoring a Birdie on the 5th hole. The speculation on this superb short game champion of the Vexilar home world is sketchy at best. What rumors have come back is that he has managed to on a regular basis make 20 foot putts on tough greens. Whether that is true or not is to be found out now. But if his last hole was any indication, Vex should be able to pull in a good game and end up in the top. As he takes to the first hole, the Ribald takes time setting up his approach and practices a few swings before stepping up to the tee. He pulls back and swings viscously. The ball flies out on a good trajectory and with the clapping of the crowd around him. It lands 270 yards towards the hole on the fairway. With well earned gleam of success, Vex heads with his caddie in tow to the next shot.

He takes the 4 iron from his caddie and gives her a quick nod of agreement before practicing a few more times, then approaches the ball. Vex seems confident about the shot and waits a brief moment before unleashing his swing. He bears down on the ball in the thin fairway grass and hits with a solid connection. The crowd claps in earnest as the ball heads out towards the green awaiting near the top of the hill side. It flies low to the ground, but that may be because of the slope. It hits once 170 yards away, then bounces up further to finally stop near the edge of the green, after around 200 yards. the Ribald looks pleased with the stroke and he heads to make his chip.

For the third shot, the Ribald takes the 9 iron from his caddie and sets about making sure he can hit the green right from 100 yards away. It's a bit easier from this angle, shooting down the hillside, and after a couple practice swings sets up his attack. He pulls back and swings down on the ball. It's a good hit, not too hard and with a huge back spin bite... It lands on the green and stops dead at that location after a second short hop of only a few inches and 15 feet from the cup. The crowd cheers his great progress on, and Vex seems to enjoy the appreciation.

For the Ribald's 4th shot, he has the putter in hand already and starts for the green. It's a long 15 foot shot, and the green is looking a little uneven, but this shouldn't be too much trouble for the master that he is. Vex takes his time studying the green lay. Measuring the slope with his putter, then practices a few times, he steps up to attempt to make his birdie. He pulls back and with a measured swing hits the ball with a bright ping. The ball moves out and follows the slope of the green on it's way to the cup. 10 feet, 5 feet 2 feet, 1 foot... It slowly rolls towards the cup, and with a resounding plunk, drops in to give Vex the Ribald a second birdie for his showing so far. The crowd cheers and so does Vex, who looks like he would like to do a little celebration dance.

The announcer chimes in, "Well, That is how it's done I see. If only my game were nearly as strong as his. I would like to think that anyone could pull off that kind of perfection here. And they all certainly can perform so masterfully that the tournament will surely be a heavily contested play from start to finish. I will look forward to taking notes from Vex's future play. It will be well worth the time. Now I see that Link is stepping onto the 7th Hole. He is doing pretty well for now, lets see what his new found reliability will bring."

Link Masterwood takes to the 7th hole with a bit of a bad luck following him. After bogeying the last hole, he is now behind Jack by one stroke. Thus losing his number 2 position in the leader board. He has to do well in the remaining holes if he is going to have a chance of taking any of the top prizes. He grabs the 6 iron from his Caddie for this wild 3 par with a tight green, and practices a few shots. he then relaxes, exhales, and steps up to make his play. he pulls back and lurches at the ball with his might. The ball is hit fairly well. The white barely visible in the clouds over head. It starts down again and the crowd is holding it's breath audibly. The ball finally hits just outside of the fringe near the green. The shot was too short, and the crowd sighs with Link.

Masterwood is not one to give up so easily, and a good chip will still get him a birdie on the hole. Now he faces a 30 foot chip to the cup near the top of the sloped green. He takes the power wedge from his caddie and swings in the air to let out the sub par shot he just made. After finally finding his place, he walks calmly to the ball and sets his aim on the cup in front of him. He pulls back, and with a measured stroke, pops the ball into the air towards the awaiting cup. It's a good solid hit, with a perfect sense of distance! The ball lands 4 feet in front of the cup then proceeds to bounce it's way towards the hole. There is too much bounce! The ball travels past the cup and finally comes to a stop 4 feet from the hole on the up hill side. Hakopam's Pro has got to be disappointed with a missed birdie like that, and the crowd emulates this with a polite applause for his near upset chip. Link only takes this in stride as he waves at the fans around him, then give the club back to the caddie to switch with the putter.

A simple putt for any pro. Masterwood only need clear a short distance to take a par on the hole. Link sets himself as close to the green as possible and studies the lay for a moment. He measures the slope with his putter then stands up erect to practice his steady shot. Link finally braces for the best, and heads to position himself with the ball and the hole. And with a gentle pull of the putter, he taps the ball towards the cup. The ball rolls faithfully towards the target and with a slight rim roll, the ball finally lands in the cup to score a Par for this hole. Link smiles gratefully and thanks the cheering fans that are clapping loudly for his performance, then hands the club back to his caddie to head for the next hole.

The announcer breaks in, "Well, that was a tough start for Hakopam's Pro. If he only put a little more umph into the start he could have gotten on the green as he always does, but hey! Par is damn good all things considered, and by looking at the scores of others on this hole, he has got to be proud of his performance. I know that I would be if I did that well. I usually end up with 9 or something equally as bad. We now turn to Joe Hall who has taken to the 15th Hole in an attempt to regain a really bad run he has been suffering from in his initial holes."

The Kingdom of Stony Stratford has to be biting their nails with the performance of Joe Hall. His tough bout with the previous holes has put him dead last and with several strokes keeping him from the running of the top 3. But the past 2 holes have been pars for Joe, and by the look on his face as he takes to the tee on the 15th hole, shows that he has found his place, and will now make a run for the top with gusto. He faces a fair 3 par at 210 yards, and grabs hold of the 5 iron that his caddie hands him with a grim determination. And after several passionate practice swings with the club he sets himself up for his approach to the far flung green. he pulls back and lets loose with all his might. The ball hits with a perfect ting of plastic on steel and the ball heads out against the wind towards the awaiting green. The crowd grows silent as they watch the white dot fly through the sky and head for the green. Then they all start cheering and clapping as the ball hits just before the fringe then rolls right onto the green 20 feet away from the cup. Hall looks rather pleased with his performance and with a casual smile he pats the back of his caddie, hands the club back, and gathers up his drink to head for his next shot.

The crowd instantly goes completely silent as Joe steps onto the green with his putter in hand. This shot is going to be extremely difficult to get a birdie with. At 20 feet of rolling slope, and the past still haunting him, he looks like a man that is extremely hesitant to make any mistakes. he spends a good amount of time studying the play, and balancing the mechanics in his mind over and over. It's only after his caddie coughs out loud, that Joe is brought back to the here and now. The Stratford Pro is still uneasy about this and takes many practice swings to get the speed right in his mind. Finally he grows confident about his options, and sets himself up for the shot. It's a long one, and he has to get this right to start shaving points. Joe pulls back, his mind set on looking at the ball below him... and he lets go. The silence is broken by the clink of the ball on the putter like a church bell. The crowd starts voicing their anticipation as the ball rolls headstrong towards the cup. 10 feet... 5 feet.... 3 feet... As each small distance is passed the crowd gets louder and louder. The ball rolls closer and closer curving along with the green, then... The ball comes to the cup and drops perfectly! The crowd cries out in joy, and so does Joe Hall who jumps up and down with his club at the putt he just made. After finally getting a welcome handshake from his caddie, Joe reaches in and pulls out his ball to give it a congratulatory kiss. He then confidently and gleefully head to his next hole.

The announcer starts in, "Well! That was what his skills are made for. Getting the birdie on that hole is the first in many holes that he is going to have to conquer. And I think with saves like the one he just made, Joe Hall is looking at making a comeback to the top. I can't wait to see if he can carry that performance to the rest of his game, I think that we will see a really tight race for the top position. Next up while I watch this hole over again a few more times, is Bjorn Felltreeson on the 11th hole."
